1. why did you choose your url?

I actually just updated my URL after nine long years, mostly because I was uber jealous of y’all with t100 specific usernames. 😅 The majority of my content is catered to that fandom, so it made sense to freshen it up. After ruling out my first choice (@madigriffin, I mean how cool would that be!) I decided that since I relate most to Harper’s energy I’d go with her last name.... and added a variation of my own first name that I thought looked cute.

2. any side blogs? if you have them, name them and why you have them

Yes! Goodness I have private sideblogs for writing drafts/inspiration, and to organize gif-making tutorials that I like to keep on hand... then there’s my Bellarke Fanfiction sideblog (@twosuns-ofbellarke)... and I help out with a couple The 100 appreciation/edits pages. I have my old URL too, just in case I ever want to start using it again.

... And I do actually have @augustkomtrikru active too, which I’d intended to use as my main URL once the prequel started up that is, before Season 7B broke my damn heart and I vowed off anything Rothenberg related unless he goes back and fixes that mess that ended our beloved show. 🤷‍♀️

3. how long have you been on tumblr?

I joined on January 4, 2012.

5. why did you start your blog in the first place?

I came to tumblr because I was struggling to find my groove on LiveJournal and Blogger (wow just aged myself there, didn’t I?👵). I liked that I could post different kinds of content here... and I was obsessed with Fringe, which was still on air. This quickly became the place I came for spoilers and spaz at all the beautiful gifs from the show.

6. why did you choose your icon/pfp?

Because our fearless leaders marching away from the rover together, looking like badass supermodels, is a big mood! 💥

7. why did you choose your header?

It matched the icon & I found it in my old cell phone edits ready to go

8. what post of yours has the most notes?

This Clarke & Bellamy post from Season 6, with 1700+ notes.

9. how many mutuals do you have?

Is there a way to see that? I have a bunch and they are all lovely people! ☺️

10. how many followers do you have?

Last I checked I was around 1.7k, I’m super grateful for everyone who sticks around for my hodgepodge of posting!

4935, we have a lot of great fandom here and I lack chill...

12. have you ever made a shitpost?

1. (noun) any content on the internet whose humor derives from its surreal nature and/or its lack of clear context... a shitpost is funny simply because it isn't a predictable repetition of an existing form. Shitposts can become memes, but memes cannot become shitposts.

So now that Urban Dictionary explained what that means (I told you, I’m not a spring chicken anymore! 😂) I don’t believe so? Unless you include my old liveblogs, they were absolutely without context.

13. how often do you use tumblr?

I’m always popping in throughout my day. I like to keep up to my notifs & new posts in the tags, and then when I have more time on my hands I’ll look into my mutuals and feed a little more properly.

14. did you have a fight/argument with another blog? who won?

I can remember a couple years ago butting heads with a couple folks when I first got into fandom: the posting etiquette here was quite different from the message boards I was used to interacting on... and I had a mishap or two as a result. I genuinely believe that no one wins when that happens though, so I really make an effort to keep this a positive space. Learn from the mistakes. 💛

15. how do you feel about ‘you need to compare this’ posts?

Thanks gosh @togetherkru that you didn’t know these either! Like, what is that? Google doesn’t even seem to know.

Also love them! The posts are always wildly unpopular but they are a lot of fun

18. which one of your mutuals do you think is tumblr famous?

Every one! There’s so much talent here and so many folks have established their blogs as a cornerstone of their respective fandoms. And again, I have no idea where to find a list of all my mutuals to compare... but I always feel like I’m the new kid on the block, I’m pretty sure most of my mutuals have been here years longer than I have.

19. do you have a crush on a mutual?

I have a crush on my mutuals’ beautiful gif-making and writing and artsy abilities, if that counts? 😃

Blooming in ZERO: Memories

I’ve decided to T100 the Re:ZERO collaboration! Let’s review how it went. XD

WARNING! A rather image-heavy post

Step 1: Roll for Rinko! (She’ll make my team stronger) Strictly speaking, I didn’t need her (means more work though), but I thought maybe I’ll get lucky? ^o^

I only had enough stars for 3 10-pulls though, and I have to say, this paid gacha was really tempting... (my Twitter friends all got Rinko WTF)

I’m broke though ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

We would quickly learn that we were overloading the servers, LOL. The game was very unplayable during the first two hours. During my first roll, the connection actually timed out D:

When I logged back in, I saw my stars got deducted, but thankfully I had new members in the waiting room. ^^

I actually got the limited Ako during that very first roll!

And so I tried again.

Fuck my luck. I’ve done 3 10-pulls, and all of them sucked.

Time to start playing I guess...

Oh right. The connection was bad.

Really bad. >_<

It’s been a while since I met coldgaze (P3), a fellow T10 from the Cycling Seasons event! That guy rarely shows up in the public rooms, LOL.

Also, we got a login campaign for 2500 stars! Which means another 10-pull! ^o^

First checkpoint: Almost at T100!

Let’s talk about Unite! A to Z for a bit.

I’ve been tiering since forever and one of the many gripes casual players like me (yes. I’m casual) is that a lot of the more serious players go into the public rooms and just spam the hell out of this song. I understand why they do it (tl;dr - short length, high score, aka “meta song”), and I can’t really stop them from doing it.

There are other meta songs, like Jumpin’, that give a little less score for a little longer duration, but players really, and I mean really, like to spam A to Z. I could argue that you can’t really get the full benefit of A to Z 100% of the time (players take time picking songs and difficulty anyway, and you’re not always going to be consistent with your score), so in the long run, there’s no significant harm in picking other meta songs (maybe I should do the math..?), but no.

For those players, 100% AtoZ.

And it’s gotten really annoying, to the point that players like the one in the screenshot just straight-up disconnects when AtoZ is picked.

Anyway, back to the story. ^o^

Aaaaaand we’re done! I parked at... this score, and I was fairly confident I’d still be in T100. ^^

...Unfortunately, I woke up the following morning to see that Bestdori projected the cutoff to be at 10.6M. That is waaay too close to 11M for comfort. So I panicked and played some more, even got to Level 230 in the process XD

Eventually the cutoff never really reached 11M, so I guess I didn’t have to? :3

I’d rather regret the extra effort though, than potentially lose T100 standing.

Now we’re done. 8-)

Just waiting for the event to end!

The Wonderful Mess We Made - WIP

Bellarke Modern/Superhero AU | Enemies to Friends to Lovers Getting superpowers was never in the plan, but Clarke thinks she’s got this vigilante thing down. She has a great team beside her and her fighting skills have become pretty bad-ass, if she does say so herself. If only she didn't need Bellamy Blake's assistance to save her town.

Or, the one where Clarke and Jasper are scientists who turn superhuman, Raven and Monty are their human friends who are no less super at fighting crime, and Bellamy absolutely does not believe in superheroes… until he meets one. That's when things get really interesting.

My first T100 fic that’s still not complete ooop. I really am planning to finally sort that out in 2021 though!

Sanditon | Post-Canon Romance/Fluff | ~17k words Some time after her trip to Sanditon Charlotte sets off on her next adventure, visiting London as Lady Susan's guest. While there she makes many new acquaintances, but soon finds she is most glad to renew an old one with Mr. Stringer.

I was just very happy with how the flow of this turned out and some of my writing in it, and it has possibly my favourite ‘getting together’ scene I’ve written.

Fic you were nervous to post?

Pretty much all of them lol, it would be easier to list which ones I wasn’t.

How do you choose your titles?

I’m terrible at titles so ususally songs lyrics, but occasionally a word of a phrase that I like from the fic or something related. Titles and summary are almost always the last thing done on my fics though, as I have a hard time with them.

Do you outline?

Yes! Though not often in a linear fashion, my outlines are usually a messy mix of very detailed sections/scenes linked together with vague thought.

Complete works?

Currently 35 on AO3, will be more tomorrow, see coming soon ;)

In-progress works?

5 on AO3, though one of those, my holiday fic where the lovelight gleams will be done later this week. And I’ve always got various things working on that are not yet posted.

Coming soon/not yet started?

I wrote a few fics for Yuletide exchange that will finish the anonymous period shortly, so those will be on my AO3 tomorrow.

Prompts?

After the fics coming out this week my next one will be my next prompt fill for @t100fic-for-blm. Don’t forget that you can keep prompting for both fics and content (i.e. art, gifs, vids, etc.) and there’s lots of talented you can request from. August 7: Current Writing Folder Contents

I know this doesn’t have much of a point and won’t make me feel any more on top of anything after but I feel like doing it anyway. This is about where my brain is at.

A list of the projects in my writing folder:

(Btw if anyone reads this, which seems unlikely and isn’t the point anyway...do any of these vaguely described projects sound interesting?)

HAICG (subfolder): I should abandon everything else and go back to this but I just don’t have it in me. Like I’m overwhelmed by everything else in life right now. I feel like I need a clear, settled brain before I can dive back into the epic. K/S.

Autumn Story (planning): So I had this whole universe about a year or so ago, maybe even longer (!) and I used to write drabbles in it and for a while I thought I might turn it into a multi-chapter fic with a real story line. Sadly, I still kind of think that might be a thing. A sort of dark, vaguely magical, incredibly autumnal, atmospheric, group-centric fic that messed around with canon ideas in a different setting. But it probably won’t. Multi-pairing.

Party Fic (2 documents; draft + rejected scenes): This is supposed to be a multi-chapter fic but I’d be okay with even one chapter being finished/making it a one-shot. For a long time I thought I was still working on it and then I realized I hadn’t touched it in months and now it’s been uh...like 10 months? I’m thinking of coming back to it, though. Also atmospheric, no real plot but just an indulgence in my preferred style, basically: long sentences and a focus on feelings and relationships over events. Multi-pairing.

Untitled ST Fic: When I moved stuff from my old writing folder to this one, I was in a Star Trek phase and I optimistically transferred this literal one paragraph story over but lbr I should move it back where it came from. K/S.

ST Aftermath Story (draft): A few months ago I thought I could make this work but I really don’t like it and I think I should abandon it. The idea can be used in some other capacity (because I really do want to write a fic focusing on the political situation after ST 09) but it needs to be totally new. K/S.

Ark AU (3 documents; draft + rejected scenes + planning): I miss planning this fic and I like my first two scenes but whether or not I ever return to it will depend a lot on where I am with this fandom in the next, say, six months or so. An AU in which the Ark doesn’t run out of oxygen, and the delinquents are all released from lock up and reintegrate into society. Focuses on Ark politics. Multi-pairing.

Beat AU (draft): Two years ago I started writing this self-indulgent 1950s era AU, got stuck, and abandoned it, but it’s one of the few projects in this folder that could actually be short and easy to finish. Bellarke.

Bellarke High School AU (planning): One of my first T100 AUs...I used to plan this in law school. This is different, btw, from oh well but is basically the precursor to it. Except instead of the best friend’s boyfriend HS trope, it’s the childhood best friends HS trope. Bellarke.

BFF August (two documents, draft + rejected scenes/planning): This will be finished tomorrow and posted this weekend.

Friends with Benefits (planning): The canon-verse version of the fic I’ll be posting this weekend. I still think this could be wonderful! But I need to uncouple it from the prompt and from any sort of deadline and let it go where it wants to go. It’s a canon-divergent story set in Arkadia and involving all of the things I wished would have happened at that point in the narrative, basically a rumination on the question “now what?” when there isn’t an apocalypse to worry about. Bellarke.

BFF Modern AU (planning, abandoned draft): I’ve tried to start this story like 6 times and it always fails. I think it’s cursed. Bellarke.

Bellamy + Wells, Oh Well Verse (draft): I should probably move this document elsewhere as the few hundred words I got down are really bad. Even if I do want to resurrect the basic idea of a Bellamy + Wells side story, I’d have to start again. Background Bellarke.

Dollhouse AU (4 documents: drafts, planning, rejected scenes): I wrote an awful lot for this fic considering I still don’t like anything I’ve written. Well, maybe a very little. But it’s so much effort to write something I KNOW no one would read so... Bellarke.

Marriage Fic (draft): I started writing this as a bit of fluff after Jasper’s death but then kind of forgot about it. It’s a feasible project but my feelings for some of the subject matter, for reasons having nothing to do with T100 itself for once, have become more complicated so we’ll see. Jonty, background Bellarke.

Ark AU II (2 documents, drafts + planning): Again, a cursed fic. I’m trying to find some way to tone down the plot into something short and manageable but I don’t know why, and every time I try to write it, what I come up with sucks. Bellarke.

Gina Dystopia (draft): I used to have a very clear idea for this fic. I used to think about it a lot in admin. That’s how long ago it was. Kinda one of those fics I’d like to pick up again, though, given my current mood. Gina meets the delinquents in a run down town. Bartender Mechanic.

Halloween (planning): I wanted to write a Halloween-centric fic last year. Did not get very far lol. Multi-pairing.

Jellamy Cafe (planning + abandoned draft): I literally wrote out the whole outline for this almost-crack fic for a majorly cracky guilty-pleasure pairing but if I wrote it I’d need to start again. Bellamy/Jasper.

Jonty Dual Timeline (draft): THIS FIC WAS SO GOOD. I haven’t touched it in over a year. But you know what I am highly invested in finishing it despite that because I really do like what I had so far, I like this idea, I like the style of it... I love it. The only thing is that I’m not sure I remember exactly where it was supposed to go and I’m afraid of having trouble finding the tone again. Two part timeline taking place in a modern au, and a canon-divergent post-s4 AU. Jasper/Monty

[redacted] (two documents): I’m not going to talk about these embarrassing things. I don’t know where else to put them but they will not be completed I’m 99% sure.

Oh Well Chapter 2 (2 documents, abandoned draft + draft): I was rereading this yesterday and I actually like what I have so far! Another fic I’d like to push to the front of the queue. Bellarke.

Sleeping Beauty AU (3 documents, planning + draft + edited chapter 1): I’m so invested in this thing, I must finish it. It way be weird, it may find no audience, but you know what at least I’m trying. I’m trying to be creative and do something different and push myself. Bellarke.

K/S Comparison (draft): Another ST fic moved to this document in a fit of misplaced optimism.

Story Idea Master List: What it says on the tin.

K/S with Ambassador (essentially completed draft): Okay the reason this one is still sitting around is because I unearthed it basically complete and wanted to just ‘polish it up’ and post it but I still haven’t done that. It’s one of those ‘this isn’t good but it’s not so bad I shouldn’t post it’ kind of fics.
