I just trimmed a massive amount of Jungle Val out of Zip and Shy’s tank. This tank never stops amazing me with its stability and output of plant matter. Every time I do a major water change I cut out ridiculously long leaves of Vallisneria and it just makes more and more. That single Anubias is also reaching record status. I really need a bigger setup for this community.
After I've redone the 180l (or 160l? I always forget, I'll have to measure again, it's 1m)(EDIT: I just measured it, it's actually 200,lol. My colleague gave it to me and said it was 160,thats why I always forget)
I decided to rehome the few fish that remained in it and I can't put in other tanks I have.
So after that I got some new fish for it.
A group of dwarf spiny eels; and I was lucky enough to get a group of 6 L501 from a breeder, together with a pair of snow ancistrus.
I'm thinking of adding small swarm fish, but that can wait.
I've learned, as a rule of thump, never to put in all fish at once. Always add in stages and observe. I tend to wait at least 1 week between adding new fish.
Ernie and Sharky will be parents! Ernie is very busy fanning the eggs under the filter. I'm very proud of them! If all goes well I'll have to see how I'm going to rehome those babies, I didn't count the eggs but I don't have a tank large enough for an army of bristlenoses, that's for sure. This does confirm that Sharky is a female bristlenose!
