All I want to do is wax poetic about how Waan and Tul are finally doing a story I've wanted BL to do forever... a story about the power of anonymity and how much it can help people who are struggling with their identity and place in the world.

Waan and Tul fell in love without faces and without names. They fell in love with an avatar and a voice and a soul and they are proof that they can love each other no matter what because Tul definitely loved Waan before he ever saw his face and Waan trusts Tul all the more for not knowing him.

This is the power that the internet can bring, the power of trust and togetherness that only knowing the words of another person can create. They could be on different sides of the world, they could never have a chance to meet, they could be anyone.

But they are them and they have fallen in love with so little and yet that love is there and it matters so, so much.

(We've seen so many shows about meeting over video calls or one side being anonymous and the other side knowing but this is one where they genuinely started without knowing each other and it's beautiful.)

Damn it!!!! So is the Kanchanaburi trip the turning point for all the relationships? That’s when Dean and Pharm level up. Is that when Win and Team are finally gonna admit their feelings to each other instead of just everyone around them!?!?!? At this point, the alphabet gang knows more about Team’s feelings for Win than Win does and he asked him point blank!

JUST TELL YOUR BOYFRIEND YOU LOVE HIM!!!!!!!!

Also, Win used the alphabet gang’s government names lmao!!! He’s like ‘I’ll call you whatever I want and you need to fucking answer’ and those three are just like ‘yes sir’. They learn pretty quick there’s certain things only Team can get away with.

Shit Team’s gonna meet the parents and Win’s introduction just adds to Team’s insecurities about their relationship. Win, if you leave it up to him to define the relationship, you’ll be married with a child and Team is still gonna be like “does he really like me? I bet he marries everyone to make them feel better. I’m not his special husband or anything.” Bitch you better fucking CLAIM him for the world and him to see so there’s no more questioning!!!!!!! Team is adorable but we’ve long established that the boy is no genius. You gotta spell it out for him, and then prolly spell it again because he’s not good at spelling.

Team instantly going into fight mode with those homophobes had me squealing. Like, he’s so protective of Pharm and knows that it would hurt Pharm’s feelings so he was ready to throw down. He won’t fight for himself but if it’s for people he cares about, he will cut a bitch.

Manaow, you’re doing great sweetie! Pruek is there for you cheering for you every step of the way! Damn, only straight dude in the series and girl got him eating out of the palm of her hand and she doesn’t even realize it!!! They’re so cute!!!

Bee was gonna throw hands at that Tum dude! So can we assume that the show Prince is in is a BL? So Prince is gonna be expected to do fanservice with his costar when the show airs? Their story is so cute, I just want the smol beans to be happy.

Waan is trying to piece things together and Tul is over there just stealing his puzzle pieces to keep him from seeing the whole picture! Bro! I know he said he didn’t want to meet in real life but that ship has so obviously sailed off the edge of the horizon you can’t see it anymore. There’s a fight that’s gonna happen when that all comes to light but I feel like it’s gonna end with a kiss because Tul just seems like the kind of dude to make out in the middle of an argument. He gives off those vibes.

Wiew is a literal ray of sunshine and he is collecting big brothers like Pokémon! Team, you have two owners now. I don’t make the rules. Win, if you fuck this up and make Wiew lose his new big brother, you’ll suffer the wrath of the sunshine child. And considering he has no fear running up the death stairs in fucking slippers, you should be scared!

Yet another NC scene we’ve been robbed of!!! And a bar bathroom NC scene at that!!! Not fair!!!!!!!

Whoa….I didn’t think I was gonna ramble this much about the ep. This kind of just became a stream of consciousness post about the ep. Sorry not sorry!

Between Us Ep 5 Stray Thoughts

Last time Team and Win admitted to their closest friends that they might be feeling something special for each other, and it was adorable. Bee and Prince started up. Manaow and Phruk moved forward. Waan and Yacht's characters whose name I cannot remember continued.

Okay, Yacht's character's name is Tul, and Dean is not having any shit about his relationship with Pharm.

It's noticeable how much more comfortable Fluke and Prem are with each other this time around.

I wonder if New Siwaj has much to say about the intense work schedules of actors beyond how exhausting it is.

That helmet is going to fail in a crash... And then it's suddenly fixed in the next shot.

Okay, the follow up on Win being afraid of horror films was cute.

Ah, there it is. Prince admitting he has to always take pictures with fans or he'll be called arrogant.

Team is such a crumb crusher. The lead Snackums of BL.

I wonder if Team's brother died or was permanently injured because of the pool incident.

Of course Win leaves his door unlocked for Team now.

Man, I have a lot of feelings about Team asking for exclusivity with Win while also not being ready to commit to something formally romantic with each other. It also stands out to me that they've only hooked up the two times we know of, but never in either of their bedrooms. I think that's a intentional choice by Win.

Why are these people always brushing their teeth BEFORE eating?

I love Win. I like how earnest he is with Team.

The tie scene was cute, but also he needs to fix that tie because it isn't on properly.

Meanwhile, back at the family home, things are not going great. Everyone is yelling, even Wiew!

Ah, Tul has finally pieced together who Waan is. He seems like a shit-stirrer, so I'm curious how he'll move forward.

I was wondering if Team hadn't warmed up again. We're just gonna end on a crisis point I see.

Tul's pain over choosing to lie to Waan about his name because he doesn't want to upset Waan or hurt their friendship despite how much he wants more from him is the exact pathos I was missing from VV with the secret name thing and I am so grateful that I can finally label that because I was starting to see the similarities and wondering about the difference.

The difference is that in Between Us it matters and we see the reasoning behind it. We understand why Tul feels he needs to keep his name and identity a secret and why he wouldn't tell Waan while we never got a reason or any emotional payoff in VV. Between Us has already given us that emotional pathos and that pain because we see how much Tul is hurting himself by lying.

This is what could have been if it had just actually mattered in VV,
