i have watched the first few episodes of tlovm!! gonna watch the rest of it eventually, but i'm watching it with my gf and whenever we watch things together we tend to go painfully slowly. but i've also watched a bit of campaign one itself and. god. yeah. they're so blorbo shaped. i adore them

9 People I'd Like to Get to Know Better
Thanks @sycamoretrees for the tag!
Last song: I'm going to cheat and go for a whole album. I've been really enjoying Where's My Utopia? by Yard Act recently: deceptively clever stream-of-consciousness lyrics that walk the line between wry irony and passionate sincerity, all set to post-punk beats that you can dance to. (Shout-out to HELLMODE by Jeff Rosenstock and Sorry for the Late Reply by Slรธtface too โ€“ both brilliant albums as well)
And while I'm breaking the rules, I might as well mention my wrestling playlist that I've been working on! It's a really eclectic mix of songs that remind me of various different things in wrestling โ€“ feuds, characters, general vibes etc. It's not finished yet (I'd like to organise it thematically and write some annotations to explain my thinking behind the choices), but maybe you'll find something on there you like!
Favourite colour: it's a tie between blue and purple (especially lilac). Also currently enjoying the yellow-green of the new leaves that are appearing at this time of year!
Currently watching: wrestling, surprise surprise. I'm just about keeping up with AEW and completely failing to keep up with NJPW. Other than that, I've not really been in a big TV/film mood recently. Although I did see Dune Part 2 the other week, which I thought was fantastic. My partner and I have also become slightly addicted to watching Gab Smolders play Nancy Drew games on YouTube.
Spicy/savoury/sweet/(sour)/(salty)/[umami]: since @sycamoretrees set a precedent of adding options, I'm going to go with another write-in candidate: my beloved umami. I am a Marmite fiend and will eat just about anything if it has soy sauce/miso/strong cheese etc in it. I enjoy pretty much all of the above tastes though, especially when combined in interesting ways. If I had to choose between the original options, I probably lean towards savoury; I have extremely strong opinions on crisps.
Relationship status: I've been with my partner for almost 11 years now :) (While I'm here, go check out her fantastic art and tabletop RPG writing at @mortphilippa! Obviously I'm biased, but she's super talented!)
Obsessions:
Too many to mention them all, but here's a selection:
Wrestling (of course): as well as my usual AEW & NJPW, I've watched some CMLL recently, which has been fun. I also recently reached new levels of nerd by emulating King of Colosseum 2, a Japanese wrestling game from 2004, on PC. It's good! Holds up well!
Tabletop role-playing games โ€“ an ever-present obsession for me. I've just wrapped up a 4+ year D&D campaign that I was GMing, which is an odd feeling, but I'm so proud of the story we told together. I'm also currently GMing/writing stuff for Cy_Borg, Liminal Horror and Brindlewood Bay, among others! There are tons more I want to run though โ€“ too many games, not enough time! (I am always up for conversations about TTRPGs by the way โ€“ I could talk forever about them! Hit me up if you wanna chat!)
Puzzle games: more of a recent obsession. I continue to do the Wordle every day, but I've recently been enjoying Connections (sorting words into categories), Heardle Decades (identifying songs from the intros), and Squeezy (a weird game about fitting letters into other words). I'm also going through a bit of a point-and-click adventure phase. Really enjoying Unavowed by Dave Gilbert currently. I'm not usually an urban fantasy fan, so it's a testament to how good the writing is that I'm loving it as much as I am.
Spring flowers: spring has well and truly sprung here in the UK, and I am loving all of the flowers that are popping up everywhere! There's nothing that brings me joy quite like going for a walk and doing some plant-spotting (I'm trying to get better at identifying plants this year! I'm mostly reliant on Google Lens and a bit of inherited knowledge from my Grandma currently)
Oops, that was A Lot! Enough about me. Time to tag some other people! (Only if you feel like it though! Absolutely zero pressure)
IRL friends (I know you all very well already, but I always love hearing what you're up to ๐Ÿ’™): @thewaythroughthewoods, @thepenultimaterolo and @mortphilippa (and @unpairedbracket if you fancy it!)
Some Tumblr people wot seem cool (sorry if we've not interacted much โ€“ I've not been on Tumblr a lot recently and I'm bad at starting conversations!): @norfkid, @sybilius, @dansedan, @unlikelywrestlingfan, @punkrockpariah

Ask meme!
tagged by @marshvlovestv ! Happy to respond :D
Last song you listened to: Sabotage by Circus-P feat. Len Kagamine
Last movie you watched: The Crow
Currently watching: 80s anime "A Little Princess Sara", I'm In Love With The Villainess, Dead Mount Death Play, and (rewatching) LOST
Other things I've watched this year: Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, Chainsaw Man
Currently reading: CSM Buddy Stories
Currently listening to: Playlist I'm assembling of mostly original songs featuring Asterian, who is an English bass SynthV (it's like Vocaloid but a different platform) as well as a few others related to him (in particular, I've been reccing Collared by Vane ft. Synth V Saros up and down)
Currently working on: Other than some self indulgent roleplay I've mostly been spending too much time playing video games with my roomies and friends to have much free time left to get started on creative projects I've wanted to do but procrastinated on. However, if a genie were to free me from the shackles of capitalism, I would like to use that time to run an x reader fic/headcanon/request blog for no particular fandom but I would list my blorbos, draw some comics / doujin for my fandoms, make some fan otome games for canons that are definitely not otome, run some one-shot death game based online roleplays, and learn how to run a Savage Worlds campaign! I hope I can manage to do at least one of these next year, haha.
Current obsession: Yoshikage Kira & Makima are the current character obsessions as well as their respective fandoms in general (However I am not caught up with part 2 of the CSM manga.) I'm also playing Twisted Wonderland and Project Sekai enough to be semi-obsessed. Of course my forever fandoms remain Zero Escape, TWEWY and Mystic Messenger.
Tag if you want to: @jelimore @smol-grey-tea @brodyliciousbooty
only if you feel like it though!

This is for the "Constellations" Ask Game.
Andromeda, Libra, Canis Major, Leo
So, this ended up getting way longer than I originally expected sooooooo, read more it is!
Andromeda - Describe your main characters - I've been talking about Hector a lot, so I think I'm gonna use this as an excuse to talk about the main characters of a story I've been thinking about for a while that I only started writing today.
Agent- He's a secret agent type, your typical clever action man. He currently doesn't have a name, but I will fix that, although Agent kind of is his name in a sense. It's the most solid part of his identity because his work has him taking on all sorts of different identities, names, personalities. He considers himself an incredible actor because he can pretend to be whoever he needs, whenever he needs. He won't admit it, but he can be quite jumpy, especially when he doesn't entirely understand what's going on around him. Michael- Michael, on the other hand, is your relatively typical good boy just wants to help everyone type. If a golden retriever puppy became a 6'2" human person, that would be Michael. He wants nothing more than to do his part to make a world that let's everyone be as happy as possible, to never have to worry. He's a D&D character that got pulled out of his original world (A few times as I've used him in multiple campaigns in different universes and am now putting him into this story.) He's a pretty typical Neutral Good type, I feel like, just trying to do his best in the world. Mortimer- Mortimer is my eccentric scientist type, and probably one of my favorites to write. He swings wildly between your prim proper gentleman type to the same exact energy as Adam and Jamie on Mythbusters elatedly telling the cameras how wrong they were with huge grins on their faces. He's always willing to learn something new, and can get a little obsessed with figuring out things that he doesn't understand. Above all though, his highest priority is taking care of his adoptive child, Chip. Chip- Chip is the final main character, a robot with a body similar to a ball jointed doll that Mortimer found broken. Upon fixing them, Mortimer discovered that they had no memories at all, but did still have a distinct, and child-like, personality. Chip gets along incredibly well with Michael, always wanting to run, play, and just have fun for the most part, but also loving to help people. They are an absolute ray of sunshine, but can be a bit overly-energetic at times.
Libra - Which relationship dynamic do you enjoy writing the most? - Is it a cop-out to say that I just love writing relationships in general? In all seriousness, I just love seeing how different characters play off of each other and interact so much. I think what I enjoy most though is either characters antagonizing each other, or people who are really close and care deeply about each other, whether it be familial, platonic, or romantic.
Canis Major - Do you like writing character-driven stories or plot-driven stories? - I feel like my writing is in a sort of weird area on this. I usually start out with a vague plot, and then find myself writing it in ways where most of what happens is because of the characters, if that makes sense? And the only way I write is if I'm liking it so. I think the accurate answer to this would be character-driven stories?
Leo - Do you have a favorite place to write? - I have this nice corner desk that I'm starting to really love writing at! It was a big mess when I first moved in and didn't know where to put anything, but the more I get it cleaned up and personalized nicely, the more its turning into a nice really cozy place to write.

Thank you friend!! I'll do Cosette, Lyrie, and then two for Finch bc she's who I'm currently playing and am obsessed with heheh
๐Ÿ‘พ Amateurs by Royal Teeth - I like the upbeat vibe of this song and general positive message, but I feel that some of the lyrics are also a little ominous, talking about numbered days and taking risks and whatnot, which is exactly the vibe I go for with Cosette. She's bubbly, cheerful, and passionate, but is also way in over her head and doesn't understand the potential consequences of her actions as a warlock.
๐Ÿ‘พ Wolves of the Revolution by The Arcadian Wild - This song evokes one particular scene from Lyrie's campaign for me: when she left the party. That took place on a mountain right after Fie had died and it was revealed that the goddess the party thought had been helping them turned out to be the bad guy. Then they were faced with an ultimatum of either letting the home village of another party member get destroyed or give up the artifact that was, as far as they knew, the only way to defeat the goddess. Lyrie chose the artifact and the rest of the party sided against her, so she stole it and ran away. Absolutely the most adrenaline I've ever felt in a session of D&D lol it was amazing. Back to the song, though, the line "It's a spectator sport, just play your part" also touches on the fact that the whole plot revolved around destiny and cycles replaying, and one of Lyrie's big things was not being controlled by anyone, even the gods.
๐Ÿ‘พ You Don't Even Know Me by Faouzia - Being a tiefling among elven royalty, Finch was constantly looked down upon and mistreated by her family, which is what this song gets at. She feels that her family, particularly her father, doesn't know anything about her beyond that she's a disappointment and troublemaker. Out in the world beyond the palace, Finch retains this sort of defensiveness even though most people don't have any opinion on her, which ties in to her rather self-centered worldview.
๐Ÿ‘พ Here Comes Trouble by Neoni - Trickster rebel rogue, the song lol. The general dark, rough vibe of the song is the exact aesthetic and attitude Finch gives off. Or at least tries to. ๐Ÿ˜
