Vada Malai darshan of Namakkal Anjaneyar

One of the main offering to please Hanuman is Vada Malai ( garland made with vada). When Shri Hanuman was child, he went to catch Sun thinking it of an apple. At that time Rahu Deva, was also nearing Sun during eclipse time. Hanuman defeated Rahu & thus Rahu promised that Whoever worship Hanuman with food made of Urud dhal will get relieved from Rahu Doshas.

Also Rahu is like a serpent therfore Offering made in garland pleases Rahu more. That is the reason Vadai Malai or Garland made of Vadai is offered to Anjaneyar.
