Aredhel lives

@cartoon-aragorn had the cool idea of an au, where Aredhel survives and finds a new lover in Gondolin, who treats her right and I just had to draw it.

I ended up choosing Galdor as her new boyfriend, because my first thought was, that as a hunter, she must love trees XD While dreawing I also realised, that Galdor is described as the bravest lord of Gondolin and it is therefore very likely that he threw himself on Eöl, in this au, and stuck the javelin into his butt (as seen in the picture).

Aredhel and Galdor can probaply also bond about beeing badasses...

(I drew Eöl with gray skin and glowing green eyes, because 1. I think all his dark rape magic probably fucked him up. and 2. Maeglin is described in the book as having dark skin like an orc, who are mostly gray or pitch balck, and he must have it from somewhere.)

I just really want a fic or something with the elves of gondolin or Riverdale reacting to a reader that's from modern earth??) Lol suddenly out of no where speaking Spanish , either they got mad , frustrated , or just had a brain fart and forgot English for a minute

i see none of them getting mad or annoyed with you — elves love learning — knowledge is the greatest power. Please kindly note — some of my interpretations could be wrong as some of them could have mixed reactions 😅

Frustrated? — yes perhaps cautious, because they want to understand you and your culture, know if you're a threat or not — your ways of speech confuses them again and again— they realy just want to know what you are trying to day! sometimes they're holding themselves back from losing their patience — but they try to be soft with you at the same time.

Maeglin, Ecthelion, Turgon, Rog (maybe slightly annoyed)

The ones that will get tongue-tied altogether — because it is a language the have never heard of. Stutter, a little — scratch their head — looking over you like what in the word is this cute little thing? They might joke that your are saying something gibberish, not believing it's an actual language — even try to repeat after you with fail — it would be very funny — accidentally even say something stupid or offending.

Egalmoth, Glorfindel, — am going to sneak in Aredhel here.

The ones who would have the most patience with you — trying to decipher what you are saying and help you out with little drawings for understanding. They would create no fuss and work their time with you. Would be sweet and gentle — waiting for you.

Hi! Still struggling a bit with those goddamn heats here....so I wondered, how our dear elves would handle that? Are those who crossed Helcaraxë more sensitive to them or does it help them somewhere on deep level? How about the Fëanorians?

Oh boy, I've been hearing lots about how severe they've grown in the UK and US. Hope those affected are taking as many safety measures as possible and staying safe.

Since elves are literally built different from us, they're able to handle temperatures better, but in this heatwave - they'll combust. The coldness from the Helcaraxë would reduce the urge to spontaneously combust, but they wouldn't want to dwell in it for too long. I always believed that those who crossed the Grinding Ice would have some remnants of the cold trapped in them since they spent years crossing.

Similar to us when we make drastic changes in temperature without adjusting beforehand, they'll recoil.

Turgon, Idril, Argon, Aegnor, Ecthelion, Egalmoth

Some might adjust to the heat and find it much more pleasant than the coldness.

Fingolfin, Fingon, Aredhel, Finrod, Angrod, Galdor, Glorfindel

As for the Feanorians, they've never had to experience the biting cold like the others, so they'll have it harsh. The heat would want to make them spontaneously combust and drive them crazy. They're quick to dive into the snow or ocean to cool down.

Maedhros, Maglor, CELEGORM, Caranthir, Curufin, Amras, Amrod, Celebrimbor.

I feel like out of everyone, Feanor would be that person to invent a device to deal with the heat. He's that person.
