hemlo!! thank ya'll so so much for enjoying this lil comic series!! i know it's been a year since the first part, but most importantly i finished it 💀✨️

every single tags ya'll leave on me posts and past questions i recieve about this au is super appreciated, they make me smile the widest you have no clue!! im just a lil mad at myself that i couldn't expand on this au more so yall could have had more crumbs. irl stuff happened + still getting the hang of drawing and socializing again after years of doing neither of those 😭

but still, im glad i could share this comfort comic i made for myself, and for you guys too. it's a pretty personal one despite the characters not being mine 😅 i hope that you can walk away from this story believing (entirely or not) that someone out there still thinks of you, whether they're from a late/absent loved one who still wants the best for you or a dear friend who will make room in their hearts for you. life will never not be hard, but if you keep them close to your heart, adulting will be bearable 🫂

I was tagged by @brieflysteadysoul to answer 11 questions for an ask meme.  I’m not gonna write my own questions or tag a bunch of people because this break is already a little too long (lol), but I will answer the ones I was given.  ;D  Thanks for tagging me!  I love these things haha.  Sorry for not passing it along this time around, though.  Under the readmore for length!!

1. If you had the chance to move to another country permanently, would you do it? If so, to which country? I’m actually not sure.  I don’t know how well I’d do in another country.  I’m so used to the usual political BS (not to mention what racism looks like here among other things) for the US that I don’t know how well I’d adapt to learning a new place’s nonsense and quirks.  Like, what would I do if something happened?  I’m sure I’d learn, but I’d hate being that far away from my family, I think.  The furthest I’d probably be willing to move is Canada, I guess?  If I wasn’t such a baby, I think maybe somewhere in Europe would be okay.  Spain maybe?  Although I’d need to like.  Actually learn more than eighth grade Spanish lol

2. Describe yourself from the point of view of your favourite character UH.  I think I’m gonna have to skip this.  There would be way too much world building to make this exchange happen, and like...  I don’t know how to make myself plot relevant to either a phantom thief or a figure skater so....?  Suffice to say I’m tall and thin, but otherwise pretty unremarkable.  I look approachable, especially to nerdy girls and particularly awkward guys.  I’m plain, but I might be cute on a second glance?  I dress in such a way that people look past me, neutral colors and jeans mostly.  ANYWAY

3. Did you have an OTP you lost interest in? If so, why? I have a lot that I lose interest in, honestly.  It’s not even that I don’t ship it anymore, but if something shiny and new comes along, especially something with actual content being produced semi-frequently, I’m gonna focus on that thing instead of the older one.  The only one so far that I haven’t lost interest in is actually KaiShin XD  Like, even after all this time, I’m still interested.  Which is pretty impressive.  Dry spells not withstanding, I’ve been interested in DCMK for... about 7 or 8 years?  Like what the hell?  How did that happen?

4. What’s your favourite fanfiction trope? ARRANGED MARRIAGE/ROYALTY AU AT THE SAME TIME.  Nothing gets me faster than a royalty AU that ALSO has an arranged marriage.  Like, I really don’t think I could properly vocalize it.  I am SO INTO this.  I would read this trope for things I don’t know anything about.  I don’t care.  I LIVE for this trope.  It isn’t enough for me to read my NoTP, but it’s... alarmingly close, thinking about it.  I’ll read it if I have no feelings for a ship, but I prefer to have a lot of positive feelings.  Hate is too much negativity for me to get any enjoyment out of it, I think.  But God, I love that trope.

5. If people had marks on their skin that show who their soulmates are, what would the mark on your soulmate’s skin look like? Hm, I suppose that depends on how the marks function.  The only thing I’ve liked for virtually my whole life is the Legend of Zelda, so it would be pretty cool if my soulmate got the season marks from Oracle of Seasons, since that’s my fave game?  Or maybe a Triforce?  Otherwise, it would need to be a function of when the mark forms, I guess.  I’ve been writing more or less consistently since I was eight, so it could be something to do with that, too?  A quote I like when we meet, maybe?  A lot of things about me change over time, so this is honestly really hard to figure out.  Like, my interests change year to year, month to month.  When I was a kid, I wanted to be an inventor for several months, a magician for longer, and a vet or doctor for like five minutes.  I spent some time thinking about going into politics (first female president anyone?) so that I could make change happen myself (5th grade, inspired by Madeline Albright, the first female secretary of state and the woman I did my famous person report on).  I’ve wanted to be a historian, a defense attorney, a prosecutor, an astrophysicist, a writer, and now an editor.  I... really don’t know.  I think sticking to Zelda would be the wisest and simplest choice.

6. What was your favourite series to watch as a kid? Depends on the year, but some of my faves were: Powerpuff Girls, Dexter’s Lab, Batman: The Animated Series, Totally Spies, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Spongebob Squarepants, The Fairly Odd Parents, Jimmy Neutron, etc.  (I watched a lot of cartoons after school.  It was always too hot to play outside, so it was either cartoons or reading.)

7. What’s the easiest way to make you angry? Insult someone I love or respect, or insult my intelligence or compassion.  I won’t go into detail here, but honestly, if you hurt someone I love, you’re basically dead to me.  I will give second chances if I’m the one hurt (for a small enough offense), but my loved ones are sacred ground.  If you imply that I’m an idiot or that I don’t care about someone’s feelings, though, I will be very upset and for the former, probably furious.  I... probably have a complex about it.  Anyway.

8. Your answer is never. What’s the question? When will you stop sleeping through the entire morning and staying up through the night?

9. If you had the chance to save one fictional character, which one would you choose?  Kartik is literally the first one that I thought of, so I guess I’m gonna stick with it.  He’s from the Gemma Doyle Trilogy (Libba Bray), and I have never been more heartbroken than the end of that series.  If I could save him, I would.

10. You have a time machine. Do you travel to the past or the future? Why? THE PAST!  Assuming there are no real/lasting consequences to my actions, I desperately want to tell Sir Arthur Conan Doyle on his deathbed that Sherlock lives forever.  It’s... my favorite time travel thought.  Nothing else matters to me.  Only this.  I just.  Want him to know.  He is a well-respected author because of the stories he liked least.

11. Cats or dogs?  Yes?  I love both!  I prefer living with cats, because they are comparatively low maintenance (I don’t have to walk them frequently or exert myself playing with them or take them places to play), but dogs are so enthusiastic and sweet that I like seeing them always.  Happy dogs are the best dogs.  Also, cats don’t generally drool and are easier to sleep in the same space with lol--my cats also share my opinions on personal space.  I will come to you, otherwise don’t touch me.  I would like to be in the room with you though.
