Ask The BellHunters is LIVE!

I'm just gonna start out this entry with the big news first, which is basically an echo of the headline. Ask The BellHunters is up and functioning! It's live baby. Obviously there's still a bit of work I'd like to do... but there isn't all that much tweaking left if I'm being honest. I can't get any of the text to center, which I would honestly love for the bio part. And in the future, I'll probably add a bio page somewhere, as well as more characters to the title bar. But I mean, it's up and ready to go. Even has it's own domain! Check it out below. AsktheBellHunters.com So, what does this mean for AskDawnAndVern? Well...I mean, unfortunately it means it's going to be a time capsule. I can't get back in, and Tumblr won't help. So if you could, please share this info around and let everyone know that the BellHunter Brood has moved. Going forward, we should be getting back to regular weekly updates. Luckily, I do still have the asks from the previous blogs saved, so I will continue to work from the archive. That said...I can't exactly...close the box anymore...since...it has a personal email now. So...I only ask that you don't go too crazy overloading me with asks. :3 -WT

Judy: NICK! Nick: What, you know strippers are some of our best informants!

Judy: Well, yes....but don't you think it's a little messed up to imply all foxes named Krystal are strippers?

Nick: You're right. What I meant to say is every mammal I've ever met named Krystal is, or was a stripper.

Judy: NICK!

Nick: Hey don't look at me, I didn't name 'em. Seriously folks, if you want to make sure daughter's life will stay on track, don't name them after any form of jewelry...or precious metals...or concepts.

Judy: Concepts?

Nick: Like Destiny, Hope, Charity...or my personal favorite *Chuckles* Chastity.

Judy: Nick, this is all really, really offensive, and misogynist for that matter!

Nick: I'm just telling you what I've experienced personally. And I know nearly every mammal in Zootopia, so...I mean, how wrong can I be?

Judy: Nick, I honestly expec-.

Nick: You have a sister name Krystal don't you Judy?

Judy:...

Nick: And what does she do again?

Judy: *Covers her face with her ears, blushing* That's besides the point!

Judy: It depends on the rabbit. I don't know how much most of you know about my family, but there's a lot of...ear diversity in the Hopps burrow. For instance, I have longer ears than both my parents, and my mom has really short ears, probably the shortest in the family. For her, tying her ears in a knot is pretty much out of the question. As for me, while mine are long enough to 'technically' tie into a knot...

Nick: It's not exactly a tight one.

Judy: Exactly.

Nick: I mean, right off the bat, despite being the master of stealth that I am, there is literally no way I could try to tie Carrot's ears into a knot without her noticing.

Judy: After all my ears are still attached to my head, with some degree of muscles and nerve endings running through them. Just Nick lightly running his paws over them is enough to get my attention, so anything more mechanical than that is going to get my nose twitching before he can even make any real move.

Nick: That said, Carrot's has graciously let me try to do it a few times for fun, and like I said, It's not very tight. I mean, aside from the risk of hurting her, ear flesh and soft fur does not make for a solid tie.

Judy: So, based on personal experience and observation of those in my family, I'm gonna say there's a good chance you can't tie a rabbits ears into a cartoony bow knot...or any real knot for that matter. All that said though, I do sometime 'tie' my ears together with a clip or scrunchy if I feel like it. But still that's not exactly tying both ears up with each other.

Nick: So what you are saying is that if we come across a rabbit with ears as big as the rest of it's body we might have a shot?

Judy:I think you'd have to go to some Roaropean royal family rabbits for a chance at finding that.

Gazelle: Well I haven't met a single hydrophobic tiger if that's what you are asking. *Giggles*

Wolford: I mean, me and Fangmeyer are shacked up in Sahara Square. Access to a good swimming hole is a must when you live there. Although, Vanessa holds back way less than I do when it comes to getting in the pool.

Fangmeyer: I keep telling you Billy, it's easier to get over the initially shock of the cold water if you just dive in! *laughs*

Wolford: Easy for you to say! *Laughs* You don't have to worry about making it past that...'half way mark' if you know what I mean.

Zach: Good to know I ain't the only fella with that problem.

Wolford: I'm pretty sure it's a universal thing. From male micro-fauna to mega-fauna, we all gotta get past dipping the boys in. *Laughs*

Zach: That said, Vanna's preferred way of workin' out is swimmin'. Well, dependin' on the season anyway. Otherwise it's mountain bikin' er' morning yoga. As fer iffin' we have our own swimmin' pool, or if my misses prefers to swim 'au natural', that's be a no on both parts. We haven't got around to 'luxury' additions to our new place just yet, and well...y'all know my Kitten, she prefers to dress sorta conservatively.

Wolford: Like...how conservatively?

Zach: Usually a one piece deal. Some purty and frilly, but not exactly aerodynamic. Or iffin' she's doin' a workout she'd be wearin' one of them athletic swim suits.

Fangmeyer: I wear the same sort of thing when working out, but for leisure I like to show off a little more fur. Helps you cool down and dry off faster. Of course, I'm not really keen on...bearing all in any sort of public setting.

Wolford: And our apartments don't exactly have private pool access.

Gazelle: Some of my dancers prefer to swim Au natural, and others prefer to swim in a speedo. I'm pretty sure most of them have personal pools, but the ones who enjoy an Au Natural dip also tend to be the ones who make frequent use of those 'free memberships' to the Mystic Spring that I gave to most of my staff and crew. I still have some extras if either of you would like one?

Vanessa: I'm honored you'd offer Miss Gazelle, but...honestly I'd never use it.

Zach: *Chuckles* I don't think my Kitten would be caught dead there, no offense.

WT: Ah, I sense this is going to be a pattern with these. Still I love the exercise, both thought and artwise.

Twenty years after the events of Rehab/Law, I see the pair having obviously 'tithed' the knot. Malcolm I imagine is still running his restaurant, which probably has remained about as popular as it's always been. I mean Malcolm takes great pride in his cooking, and running the kind of place that gets a lot of patrons to dine there, but he's never been to seek an obscene level of fame in the culinary world. His dream was to run his restaurant, and run it well, and he's pretty much reached that point in his life.

Then there's Xavier, who would still be working at Fienstag, Goldram, and Hunter. His fur a little grayer, his glasses at a stronger prescription level, but he's much the same wolf he's always been. I imagine that maybe one of the partners has retired in the twenty or so years since Rehab, the position maybe being taken over by offspring to maintain the name. As for Xavier's case level, I imagine he's had to tackle an increasing number of pred-prey relationship legal cases over the years. With both hybrid children becoming increasingly common as the technology improves to facilitate it, and with more couples open thanks to Dawn's book series, and her and Gazelle's advocacy efforts, a lot more couples are dealing with the cost of being out without fear. So Xavier probably has a staple of younger lawyers he's training to help better accommodate the expanding field of civil cases.

Then there's Elizabeth, a somewhat prim and cultured skunkette that the couple adopted. I feel as though she was in a similar situation to Yuri in regards to Piper, with this Elizabeth being wrapped up in a case at Xavier's firm. In this case, Elizabeth was being raised by a step-parent. Her biological mother wanting nothing to do with her, and her father having died a few years after marrying the step-parent in question. The step-parent didn't exactly care for Elizabeth, and after the death of her mate was basically stuck with her. Naturally Elizabeth found herself in a wicked step-mother scenario, her half-siblings being treated like actual kits while she was treated as an indentured servant. What ends up bringing her into Xavier's path is that said step-parent set a deliberate house fire to get insurance money, and took the time to get her other two kits out, but left Elizabeth inside to add a level of emotional plausibility. The skunkette survived, but it left her wit a bit of a burn scar one her face that she's rather self conscious about. Xavier catches wind of the case, and after being dragged into it despite it being out of his usual case-load, he becomes invested. So when the case ends with the Elizabeth essentially set to go to the adoption house, Xavier and Malcolm decide to take on the role of her foster parents. As an adult I can see her being involved with music, although something of the more classical variety, such as violin. She also takes pride in her appearance, but not to the point where she's snooty about it. And that's your 20 year plus San Francisgoat Hunter Pack.
