Don't swoon about your Ex while trying to date someone

As we all know, Gale tries it seemingly with everyone. You were not an exception. At first you were fluttered, all those fancy words and promising smiles

Soon it would turn sour as Gale began opening up about his past. At first it made you proud, but soon every sentence had Mystra in it and your blossoming crush crumpled under his words.

But now you had reached your breaking point. The whole day was an absolute distaster. It was raining, wind howling against your ears and as soon as you made it to a cave, finally making a camp, Gale began talkin about Mystra... again. And maybe it was finally time to let it all out, even though every other teammember could hear your words too.

"Why are you making such an unhappy face?", Gale finally asked as he glanced at you again. Since he had sat down beside you, you had not talked a single word, instead glowering at the fireplace and poking it with a long wooden stick. Sometimes you would even sigh heavily, but that was something he noticed later on as he was telling you a story about Mystra and him. The whole point was to show you his exceptional skills in making a womand beg but for you it was the last straw. Your head snapped up at his question and for a second you stared at him blankly.

"Unhappy face?", you than asked. Your lips pressing against each other before you stood up and tossed the stick into the fire. "Because, oh loving Gale - ", you began. You could feel your heartbeat rising, your cheeks soon enough a vibrant red as all members stilled around you. And you would bet, that Astarion had a big smirk on his face because he knew what would happen.

"Because all you talk about is Mystra!", you continued. You saw that Gale wanted to say something, his eyebrows pulled together but you shook you head violently. "Did you know that saying, where you are told that you do not speak about Exes while trying to date someone? Yeah? Because my love died for you after the third time you mentioned Mystra. It was the day where you told me how you fucked her in the bathtub.", your voice was rising and rising in your anger. You were seething because you could see that Gale did not understand. "And I want you to stop! Stop talking about Mystra! Stop talking to me! Stop looking at me! And if I ever hear again that god damn name.", you finally screamed. Without air you stopped, pushing your ahnd roughly through your hair.

"But Mystra - ", he couldn't continue. "Fucking go!", you screamed at him before turning away. With your head angled high, you made your way towards Halsin. A man who also gave you nice words and promising smiled but instead of Gale, he was acutally capable of listening and being honest and transparent. Heavy you let yourself down beside him, lightly leaning against his big forearm. "Do you need distraction? A hug or just silence?", was his quiet question while he turned his head towards you. "Silence, then hug." A small rumble came from Halsins chest.

Hello lovelies! I have written more fluffy headcanons for you, this time in the form of;

Romanced Companions comfort Tav, who's in shocked after having to be revivified.

Essentially they're kinda shook/out of it, like, the other companions come back and tell the romanced companions "Yeah, they have been out of it since they got up. Idk what to tell you" (If it makes anymore sense, it could even be Tavs first reviving)

Prepare for fluff, hurt/comfort, lots of hugs, lots of sweetness. Essentially, all your Tavs are getting the princess treatment they deserve!

Lae'zel -

Once informed Lae'zel becomes weary. Something must be wrong, Tav is never so- elsewhere. She goes out of her way go ask Halsin for antidotes, ask Shadowheart to remove curse, but upon going to ask Astarion if he can smell blight in their blood, he suggests dying and being brought back in any way can be challenging. "We're not made to come back." Now, comfort isn't her strong suit- but Gods she was desperate to aid them. She brings carefully decorated food (like a fun charcuterie board Gale helped with) over and helps them out of armour, massaging their tired muscles and feeding them by hand. She doesn't cuddle, but she stays all night, pressed as close as possible. For protection, of course. (The rest of the companions get a private earful about keeping them safe. She knows they're scared of her and will exploit it)

Shadowheart -

She gets a strange feeling before the group even returns- something in her feels off. So when she sees everyone back in one piece, she's relieved- until she isn't. Karlach tells her immediately, seeing her worry. "Only been revived in the last hour. Been real quiet too" Shadowheart can't stand her lover being so lost in their own eyes. Shadowheart gets an idea- and invited Tav to help her cook for the camp, but sulks at their mindless nod. She's not deterred- she holds up every ingredient to Tavs nose, gets them involved with simple tasks and gets them to taste test. Everything to get their senses wired until they come back to her. The minute she sees a smile on their lips again, she's kissing them too. "Thanks for coming back...would have been boring without you" She smiles into every kiss. (The food might be burning, but who cares?)

Wyll -

Wyll always greets Tav when they come back, happy to see them alive, but he can tell something is wrong immediately. "Tav is still adjusting to being alive again, I think. I don't know if they can talk right now" Shadowheart says. Wyll approaches Tav slowly, taking their face in his hands and gently kissing their forehead. "Hi love." He smiles. "Can I take you back to my tent? I'd love to get you into a bath, if that's okay?" He asks, trying not sound certain. Tav gets a small nod out, but Wyll asks again several times until Tav is in the bath, Wylls hands on their scalp, gently washing their hair and body of blood. He tells them about his day, a story he was telling Karlach- how glad he is to see them alive. Because they are alive. And Tav clearly needed to hear it. The reminder makes them human once again, settling into the warm water. He wordlessly, but diligently cleans them, head to toe, the odd kiss to their brow here and there.

Karlach -

When Karlach peers out of her tent and sees Lae'zel, Astarion and Wyll back, she frowns, not seeing Tav right away. She finds Tav with Gale, unsure what to do with them, and explains what Lae'zel told him. "Awful knock to the head. Went straight down, not even a yell" He frowns. Karlach wants nothing more than to throw her arms around them, but she gets a better idea, taking Tav to the lakeside and brings them for a swim. Wyll and Shadowheart advise against it, but Karlach persists. She strips them both and gently pulls Tav over herself to drift. They react immediately to the water but still and calm, clinging to her as they float. "It's alright soldier, you're off duty now. I've got you" She says, thumbing some of the dried mud off their face with a patient smile.

Gale -

Gale's a mess. I mean, specifically now. Tav looks like they're seeing the sun for the first time, and needs to be told not to stare. He gets them sat down and tries to comfort with words, but it all comes out as "Ah, needn't worry, you've got one of Waterdeeps finest, and I didn't fall asleep during all my herbalism and medical weave classes. I'm sure I have something- I know I have something-" And he sits beside you and reads in his tent, leaning Tav against his shoulder to keep them awake. He ruins his hair keeping it out of his eyes, throws off his bracers to avoid catching pages- and it takes him a moment to realise- Tav is asleep on him. He has bored them to sleep. Tav is drooling. And Gale is relieved. They look like themself again, pressing their face into his arm. The breakfast they're greeted with is almost worth dying, trust me.

Astarion -

Aatarion knows immediately, he doesn't have to be told. He knows that look and all the horrors behind it, not letting anybody get in his way as he got to Tav. But- well he doesn't know what to do, really, nobody did the right thing when Astarion had been "revived" so he didn't know what it looked like. But he had an idea. He slowly walks them to sit in his tent, strips their armour and asks them to wait. He's back 2 minutes later with a washcloth and water bowl in hand, and mid-way through washing Tavs face, Wyll brings some bread, fruit and orange juice. Astarion smiles and makes the odd "You must be famished" between pressing grapes to their lips. "I can see you've been doing your bloody best, as usual" he complements dabbing their cheeks. "You did wonderful today, darling" he praises. "...There's my Tav" He smiles like he's come home, looking at their now clean face.

Dammon, Rolan and Zevlor If Their Gender Neutral Crush Accidentally Confesses To Him Headcanons

Note(s) : The reader isn't Tav or durge they're just sort of a random person, I don't think the race is ever specified (correct me if I'm wrong) and neither are any described features or their class.

I'm not too knowledgeable of Dammon, Zevlor and Rolan's character in BG3 and I'm so sorry if the characters are wrong.

This is a mix of random general relationship headcanons as well as the random confession.

Dammon

He's all about outwardly caring for those he loves and he understands that love can come in many ways, he had a strong love for you before you had even confessed aloud, a mix of platonic and romantic feelings that he would showcase by doing tasks for you.

Whether he gained his crush first or you did doesn't matter in his eyes. What matters to him is that he doesn't know if you liked him back for quite a while, not until you had confessed that is. Dammon's not the type of man to make wild guesses about romance, even if you're more affectionate he doesn't think anything of it because some people are just like that with their friends and he thinks that it'd be presumptuous to assume.

He decides to eventually try and court you by making you small items or helping you as much as he could with his blacksmith job, things like necklaces, bracelets, maybe even armour, whatever you prefer, really.

Dammon isn't a fan of the typical Tiefling courting rituals, they're the same as humans but with violent and sarcastic speech, along with playful teasing and pushing their object of affection around. Of course, he won't judge if you do that to him, he can take teasing, but he much prefers to show his love through affectionate actions and words.

When you confess to him he gets more excited than embarrassed or flirty, he adores you and to know that you feel the same way as he does gets him a little giddy. He won't even realise that this could be embarrassing to you or even uncomfortable, straight away asking if you'd like to go on a date or be a couple. He does apologise after he realises how forward he's being though.

Rolan

In a relationship Dammon is very much someone who shows his love through acts of service, he'll craft things for you, help you with your job(s) and even just random tasks you might not want to or be able to do by yourself.

Sometimes he'll make random pieces of jewellery, he says that it doesn't matter if you want to wear them all the time, just as long as you like them. He accepts any gifts even if they're not something he likes, he can find a way to make it practical.

Dammon loves to tease you about your shy confession, in public and private. Unless you directly tell him you don't like it he'll randomly bring it up during conversation, when you're being cocky or teasing him it's an easy and fairly cute memory he can use to make fun of you.

Cooking is something that's interesting for the both of you, I don't think that he'd be too good at cooking or baking, not so horrible that he'll burn down a house, but not really good enough that you'd be able to have a lot of his food. Don't get him wrong, he'd love to learn, but he does prefer to have you cook while he gets ingredients and helps with any part of it that doesn't require anything that requires experience or talent in cooking.

His cuddles are very shifty, I don't think he likes to stay still for long and so you'll constantly be switching positions and he'll tend to play with your hair or hands if you let him. He might roll you around so you're laying on top of him, he's on top of you, you're sideways and hugging him, or he's hugging you, it generally just depends on how fidgety he feels on that day.

His kisses are short, he likes to give a small peck to your lips every few moments. Whether you're busy with your work or he is with his blacksmith work, then boom, kiss out of nowhere on your cheek or neck, he loves to catch you off guard and laughs whenever you get surprised by them.

Rolan personally doesn't do the typical tiefling courting strategy, of course he's sarcastic, but he's not going to be spewing out any violent speech when it's supposed to be a romantic hint to his feelings toward you.

His reaction would mostly depend on how it happened, and I can mainly see it going a few ways. Either A, you accidentally blurt it out during a conversation directly to him, or B, he overhears you talking about your love for him in some way, maybe going over a confession you're planning with a friend or you're just ranting about how much you like him.

If you blurt it out during conversation he's certainly surprised, but he is wondering if it's some sort of joke even if you're not that type of person. He will absolutely ask if Lyla or Cal put you up to this. Whereas if he overhears you he's much more likely to believe it's genuine, and he won't strut over while the other person is still there, he'll wait until you're done with the conversation and then strut over.

Whatever the way it happens, he will a hundred percent tease you about it. Nothing too heavy and it's mainly a ploy to confirm that you do in fact like him, just so he can make sure the situation is correct and he's not just assuming. He'll just outwardly say things like 'So, you have feelings for me?', 'a birdie seems to have told me about your feelings.', etc.

When you confirm you do in fact have romantic feelings for him he's over the moon, of course he won't outwardly show it and attempts to act suave, he's failing miserably and stumbles over one or two words at first, with false cocky arrogance and deepening his voice to try and make you more embarrassed than he is. Although, if you look down at his feet you can see that his tail is swishing back and forth.

In a relationship he's a mix between awkward and suave, he loves to tease you but if you tease back he gets huffy and storms off, not because he's angry, but because he's just so embarrassed. Especially if you do it around his siblings, Cal and Lia will help you make fun of him but he won't forgive you, unless you give him a kiss or gift him a new book and then it's history.

Rolan will sometimes remind you of how you so forwardly and awkwardly confessed to him to try and make you embarrassed, whether or not if you actually bite back or not doesn't matter, but he loves to do it when you flirt with him first. Oh, you think you've caught him off guard? Well, here's his ultimate trap card! Unless you're not embarrassed by it, then he's stuck trying to remember some other event that could make you embarrassed.

Zevlor

He's not too great at cooking but he can absolutely try for you, he's better at baking because of the strict step by step instructions, but for cooking where it mainly relies on taste and altering recipes he can struggle a little. Rolan does that cute thing if you like to cook or bake where he wraps his arms around you from behind and gives you a lil' kiss.

His cuddles are very 'bear hug' like, when you're spooning him he always asks you to wrap your arms around his waist and push yourself against him fully, he adores the closeness and comfort of it. When he's spooning you he does the same, arms around your waist, his face buries in your neck, making sure to position his horns away from your face. He prefers cuddling in bed and laying down rather than sitting up or on the sofa, the sofas smaller so it makes it harder to get comfortable in his opinion.

Rolan's kisses are always short and sweet, gentle and usually he'll give two or three pecks in a row because he can't get enough of you. Sometimes he'll kiss you for longer or more passionately, usually if one of you is upset or had a long day and just needs one another to relax.

So, Zevlor's not exactly the most confident or well sought after in the romance department. His age shows on his face and many people seem to be turned off by it, of course there's the whole issue with his past that many tieflings dislike him over, which they make painfully clear.

Although of course, one man's trash is another's treasure, that's where you come in. You both express interest in one another, if you don't catch on due to differences in culture, a general misunderstanding or complete obliviousness, that's up to you. But Zevlor does try to court you.

Regardless of the fact that he's single and has been for a while, he still values romance to some part. Even though it's not to the point that he actively wishes for a relationship or is miserable outside of one.

Overall, Tiefling courting rituals are similar to human courting rituals, but with a lot more grim gallows humor they use to cope with being shunned in most societies that you might not be comfortable with. In Tiefling spaces a common dark joke is 'The fastest way to a man's heart is to either make it laugh it up, or cut it out of him.' If you are a Tiefling, or perhaps from a culture or a specific race that has similar courting rituals to a Tiefling, then he will most likely just stick with what he'd normally say. Nothing too intense, but definitely things that would make a stranger unaware of these traditions to raise a brow.

If you're a non Tiefling he might try to dial back what he would typically do to court one of his own race, in his years he understands that many races or cultures will show love through kind actions, but for Tieflings, courting is all about sarcasm and being a bit more 'violent' verbally. But, if a Tiefling didn't like you then they wouldn't pick on you.

Many Tieflings in the grove are already, painfully so, aware of your little crush on the old Tiefling man. Whether it's because you've talked to them about it or because you're just so obvious, gossip can spread like a wild hellfire, everybody will know even if only one person does.

He most likely had one or two flings in his time, but to hear someone so suddenly admit that they have feelings for him is rather new, and, let me just say, I think he would have some clue before you even said it out loud. Zevlor would never outright think 'they love me', but perhaps would be under the impression that you admire him in some way, especially with how many tieflings try to hint to him that you do love him.

I don't think he would even attempt to court you if he didn't think you'd be at least a little interested.

Obviously if you're reading this you most likely want Zevlor to reciprocate your feelings and accept your confession, which he does, his confession back isn't blunt per se but he definitely gets his feelings across without mincing any words.

In a relationship he's a little awkward at first, but definitely not shy. It's mostly because it's been a while since his last lover but he also wants to make it work with you, but after a few weeks he really does begin to settle in. He'll suggest activities to strengthen your bond, like cooking meals for each other and the other tieflings, training with weapons or fighting styles either one of you might not be perfect with or against, and sometimes just taking a stroll around to admire nature.

Zevlor will adore it if you bite back with equal sarcasm, he is never outright rude, especially if he knows you can't handle it, but he does love a good playful back and forth.

I don't think Zevlor would ever tease you about your awkward and sudden confession in public, maybe with a few close friends of yours or his, but it's mainly when you two are alone and it's usually just if you tease him first. It's a fun little inside joke between you two that you can always find humor in.

Zevlor's great at cooking that can give you energy and also taste good with minimal ingredients, it's nothing spectacular that you can eat thousands of plates full of, but they're always able to give a pep in your step. He, however, isn't too good at baking, and so if you like to bake then he appreciates some lessons when either of you have the time.

I think he'd be rather awkward and stiff if you ever cuddle for the first few times, after a while he does learn what you both like and how to position himself to be comfortable for each other, but he feels very cumbersome especially if you're laying down. Zevlor prefers to cuddle on the sofa just sitting next to each other one arm around another's waist style.

His kisses are passionate and like the movies, that's the best way I can describe them. He wants you to know how much he loves kissing you and so he takes your breath away every time, if either of you are busy or in a rush he will give a small peck to your cheek as to not make you dawdle.

“And you expect me to align myself with the blissful little fool who stops to smell the roses? Oh, dear, who do you take me for?”

Barely cares for you and views you as nothing more than a naive imbecile at first. He finds your sweetness and innocence amusing, laughable even, but he’d scoff at the sight of you chasing after butterflies.

If anything he’d either brush you off or attempt to stain that innocence for his own enjoyment

A pinch close to dismissing your use of the group

Until he saw you fight

Utterly baffled when he first saw you but the shock was quickly overtaken by that all-so-familiar coy look on his face that came just before some sort of witty remark.

He’s impressed, amazed even, but he waits until after the battle to make his own comments about it.

In truth, he adores just how quickly you change from pure sweetness to vile brutality. Now that is something he can definitely work with.

There is just something so astonishing about seeing you demolish an entire group of goblins without much of a break or even a need for assistance. You’re relentless and strong, never letting anything stand in your way in battle, something he himself admires. Any past disgust or disregard he had for you slowly vanishes and instead is replaced with a curious interest.

“Well, darling, aren't you full of surprises? Here I was thinking we’d brought along a lost pup. I’m certainly glad to know you've got a hard bite hidden within you. Such a fiery little thing you are.”

“Hm. It's quite nice to have a glimmer of light amidst all the chaos spewing about. I wonder what kind of flowers have you picked today?”

Finds your innocence/general sweetness to be some form of relief for him especially during the rather bleak moments of your journey. It's something he could always look to from afar to give himself a moment to smile.

He finds your innocence endearing, a source of warmth that he couldn't help but indulge in, thus compelling him to speak with you more often than most.

Was shocked when he first saw you fight.

He was speechless at first, his eyes widening at the sight of you ripping your enemy's throats without much of a second thought. He had to blink twice to ensure that it was indeed you doing all that.

The shock slowly turned into a wide-open-mouthed smile and a soft chuckle upon seeing just how great you were in battle. You were terrifying in your own right but it didn't dissuade Wyll’s interest in you in the slightest.

Wouldn't stop praising your fighting skills right after, and kept going on and on about possible titles for you in a playful manner. Though the sincerity in his eyes said otherwise.

“Is Slayer Of Beasts not an eligible title for you? Oh! How about… no that wouldn't work either. Regardless, your combat skills are impeccable! Truly, none could compare to your grace with a blade.”

: ̗̀➛GALE

“Ah. No harm in stopping to admire the view I suppose. What is it that you see? Aside from the brilliant rays of the sun of course.”

Doesn't exactly mind your innocence or your sweetness, he doesn't consider it a hindrance nor is he amused by it. If you want to stop attempting to pet every creature you see why should he be bothered?

Would probably question why you seem so blissfully ignorant or completely aloof out of his own curiosity but he wouldn't judge you for it.

Would sometimes tag along with you whenever you do get sidetracked but he’ll also be the subtle reminder that you should probably get going.

Slightly concerned that you’d constantly need assistance in battle or in particularly rough situations.

Pleasantly surprised when he discovers your brutality in battle.

Now he's all too curious as to where that entire ‘personality switch’ spews from. He won't stop asking questions about where you learned to be so brutal, why are you so different in and out of battle and so on.

Be prepared for every question he throws but do know it's only because he's become even more interested in you!

“Your prowess in battle is most certainly commendable! I do wonder where you could have learned such intense methods of combat? One could never turn a blind eye to a remarkable display of undeniable skill.”

: ̗̀➛HALSIN

“What a gift you are, to be so wondrously lost in bliss, running across fields of the oak father’s ever-blooming flowers. I may wish to join you someday.”

Also rather pleasantly amused with your innocence and/or sweetness. It was one of the first things he took notice of other than your scent of course. He finds it rather adorable that most things go over your head.

He has no qualms about you, even with your innocence and your seemingly soft demeanor, he places his full trust in you in whatever mission you set yourself off to.

Comes across as a bit protective at times as he views you as something fragile, something to be handled carefully.

Though in truth, he sees more potential in you than how most view you in your party. There must be more to you than an innocent little smile.

Taken aback upon realizing just how brutal you were in battle.

Sure, such brutality and violence could be useful against the foes of nature but he hopes that you never turn such strength against your fellow comrades and the innocents.

Other than that, he's impressed, commending you for your undeniable strength and skill in terms of battle.

If anything, he's grown more infatuated with you, amazed by both the sweetness you exude and the glorious beast you become in the heat of combat.

“Nature had made you all too perfectly, a delicate flower in the arms of your comrades and a ferocious yet beautiful creature when bathed in the blood of your adversaries. Breathtaking. Truly breathtaking.”

Hi I love your gale fanfics atm they're so absbabdnsnfn. I have this barbarian character in the game that has a pouch where she carries all the things she loves and would never trade and sell, which has a rock/gem collection, a stuffed animal and a music box... how would Gale react to finding Tav/reader on their own one night after a rough fight completely zoned out listening to a music box?

Also I have a headcanon that Tav/Reader and gale have rock collections-

Gale can be a bit nosy so he did simply ask what you were doing

And you were hesitant because, well, you liked Gale enough, but you didn’t know him THAT well

But he’s really intrigued and interested, and asks tons of questions. He always wants to learn more. So if you know something about a gem or a stone he’ll ask more questions than you know answers to

“So, what in that little pouch of yours reminds you of me the most?” He’s ask, with his hands on his hips, and a little cocky smile

Gale will get offended very easily be very easy on the poor explosive man

If you actually showed him what you collect he’d go out of his way to find small things he thought you’d like

Like straight up he went missing twice and y’all were panicked

Listen to me listen listen I have a thought about an Astarion romancing Tav who briefly has a Thing™️ with Halsin

Astarion would be so confused about a good aligned Tav loving him that I think he would go through every possible thought process to come up with a way that he is still like a bad person and doesn’t actually deserve love. This results in him assuming Tav just has bad taste and probably chases dangerous men. There is no basis for this but this is what he tells himself. It’s easier to think than the alternative. Until he realizes the ONLY other person Tav has shown a romantic interest in… is Halsin. A man so good that there is no way it could fit in to this assumption Astarion has made about Tav.

And now he has to confront the fact that maybe…maybe if Tav loves him even MORE than they care for Halsin….maybe he isn’t the bad person he keeps trying to make himself out to be. Maybe he has more in common with his good aligned Tav than he previously thought

Could you imagine how fucking crazy the twist of events would be if we have protocol for helping recover from blood donations/drives because of vampires like Astarion or something-

Like Astarion often gets overzealous when he drinks blood, often making people ill or near the brink of death, hence why he doesn't do it so often (and when he does, he's very careful). He does this to someone one night and worries for their safety (maybe it's Tav or something). He runs to find something--ANYTHING-- that might help.

He finds an orange and makes the person eat it and because of him now we know why they make you drink orange juice or have sugar after blood drives.

Stranger things have happened.

Masterlist

Rolan

Rolan is used to words of affirmation, so when Tav doesn't use them as often he worries they don't love him.

However, he's not one to be quiet about how he feels.

After he talks to Tav about it he starts noticing all the things they do to show him they love him.

He starts really enjoying sitting and reading with them.

He especially likes the little gifts Tav makes from the knowledge they learned from Astarion. They embroider everything.

They also have enjoyed learning new skills such as knitting, sewing, and other crafts while Rolan works at Sourcerous Sundries.

He likes displaying all their gifts on bookshelves, which embarrassed Tav a bit.

Which anything that remotely resembles what they'd planned on making they give to Rolan.

Rolan, himself, has started to give gifts on random occasions to show them he loves them.

Tav's favorite has been a simple bouquet of charmed roses, that never lose their scent.

Rolan likes acts of service, but it's not his favorite. He likes that they help with things, but he'd rather just do them himself.

Zevlor

Zevlor loves any kind of affection. He prefers physical touch over any other.

He loves when Tav comes into the room and stretches out on him. Feet, torso, even just an arm brushing him.

He makes an effort to touch Tav as much and as often as possible.

When receiving words of affirmation he gives them back, but he's not one to say "I love you" every second of every day.

He doesn't particularly like gifts, but still takes all of them Tav gives him.

He has a special chest full of all the random homemade gifts he's gotten.

Zevlor loves when Tav helps with ordinary tasks.

They love cooking together and flirting.

Dammon

After a few days of no "I love you"s he begins to get a bit anxious.

He's not the type to ask until it's really starting to hurt him.

When he finally does ask Tav, they feel really terrible about hurting Dammon.

Tav makes an effort to say they love him, but also expresses how they typically show they love him.

Together they work on showing their love to each other in their love language.

Dammon loves to forge little roses and things from scrap metal he can't use otherwise.

Tav likes to help open the forge, no matter how early.

Dammon had begun to also prefer acts of service and gifts.

He likes physical touch, but he would take almost any other form over it.

The companions and Tav prepare and enjoy Hot Chocolate

I'm feeling a little inspired by the season to try to enjoy the little things. Including coco. And since the BG3 brainrot won't go away, lemme speculate for fun.

Astarion: Astarion would politely ask Tav to make the coco. Dark chocolate, something fruity. Double cream but not too much so it's still thick and rich. Very little sugar. Then he'd spike it with brandy when Tav wasn't looking and raise a toast to the two of them. He doesn't ask for himself tho. He asks because he thinks Tav would like it. Gale: Gale would absolutely pour his heart into preparing a French style hot coco topped with whipped cream, chocolate shavings and a toasted marshmallow a la Ned Flanders style. Then he would invite Tav to curl up on their sofa near the fire and chat about holidays, with or without anecdotes and trivia about various traditions around Toril Karlach: Coco powder mix and mini marshmallows. Plain, simple, beloved. Karlach would lean into the childhood memories, and reminiscing about beloved holiday traditions. Maybe while eating the "leftover" mini marshmallows by the handful. Wyll: Red Velvet Hot Chocolate. Swirled in a glass mug with whipped cream stripes and a candy cane stir stick. Showy for sure, but the flavor is delightful and playful. He and Tav would sit and discuss intrigue and make playful looks at one another with whipped cream mustaches.

Lae'zel: She doesn't really understand and ends up making Xocolatl (the chocolate drink from the Aztecs made with raw cacao, water and maybe chili pepper). She finds it invigorating, despite its bitter flavor. When Tav makes it for her, she scoffs at first, but the sweet beverage is certainly an experience for her. Shadowheart: Having never had it before, she finds it pretty frilly and indulgent. Tav makes a simple coco mix for her anyway and she is delighted by it and tops it with everything. Whipped cream, marshmallows, sprinkles, graham crackers. Its a messy, colorful, atrocity. She may or may not play with the whipped cream can to tease Tav.

These are just my speculations. And I'm sure everyone has different ideas of hot chocolate vs coco mix...whatever. Just for fun. How do you think they would enjoy their hot chocolate?

He brings Tav everything they need.

He lays with them and kisses their shoulders.

Rolan continually apologized all day.

He vows to never hurt Tav again.

He is surprised when Tav says they really enjoyed it.

Zevlor

"That shows I did a good job."

He helps Tav do everything they need to.

He kisses Tav and hugs them whenever he can.

He sits them down and makes them breakfast.

Zevlor puts Tav back into bed.

He pulls a blanket over them and brings them a hit cup of tea.

Haarlep

"Oh, little mouse, I did try my best."

He kisses Tav and makes sure they're comfortable.

He goes to grab himself some breakfast and takes some up to Tav.

Haarlep makes sure they are as comfortable as possible.

He brings them extra pillows and blankets.

When they ask he lights the fire to keep them warm and joins them in bed again.

I have an idea for some fluff headcanons with Astarion.

So, Asharion and Reader had met before the happenings of the game and knew each other. Maybe she never really acted on his tries to lure her in? They maybe kept secret friends? I don‘t know, who cares.

To the idea? Reader finally meets him again when the party reaches Baldurs Gate? Maybe some heartwarming headcanons of seeing him and recognizing him and wondering what happend, where he went, making sure he is alright?

Yey, my first request for Baldur's Gate 3!

Astarion meets his friend again

Astarion knows you since a while back. The first time, he tried to seduce you. The second time, he tried to suck you dry. The third time, he sat down beside you and you began to talk. After that you came ot the conclusion that you two were friends.

It didn't take you long to understand that Astarion had a burdend past and present. With everything you've got, you tried to make him smile, let him rest for few hours so he can relax before going back to his personal hell.

Of course, Astarion being the person who he ist, tried every time to seduce you - after all it was one of his most prized skills.

You two spend every other day together, as soon as the clock stroke midnight.

But soon Astarion did not appear. For weeks. You were worried out of your mind, pacing through your home, asking people about him and staying every night at the place you both shared. But he never appeared. After nearly two months you began to admit with glassy eyes that he would not appear again and so you began visiting his grave (yes, he did show it to you.)

On one fateful day, you were already too late for work, you sprinted through Baldur's Gate. Your eyes were focused on your feet mostly since you were a realy clumsy person sometimes. As thus, you tended to run against people, yelling an apology but never stopping.

That changed when you collied with a lean body, head on against a hard armor breast plate. Internally you cringed. Hopefully it was not one of the guards, sometimes they tended to be a bit mean towards you.

Stumbling you would try to keep a distance but slender fingers wrapped around your upper arms.

Startled you would look up, your moth half open as you realized who stood before you.

"Astarion?", his name would spill quietly from your lips while your eyes would get glossy. A smile graced your lips as you saw the light and playfull smirk from Astarion. How you missed that stupid arrogant bastard.

"Well, hello there, my darling.", he smirked. His fingers loosens around you and in that moment you propelled yourself forward, slinging your arms around his neck und pushing your body against his.

"Where were you? I fucking missed you!", you would cry but you weren't really angry since you knew he would have said anything if it happened willingly. Instead you focused on him and how his arms hugged your body closer to him while he buried his face against your neck. Damn, did you miss that cocky bastard.
