Imagine if more BLs solved their relationship issues with communication, open listening, open affection and softness...
Just imagine.
@absolutebl Healthy communication? In my BL? It's more likely than you think!

An appreciation post for Bbomb’s veins
Tumblr media
Also the softness exuding from this scene is even softer than Jin’s hair (though Bbomb would probably disagree with the way he seems to love Jin’s head of hair)

Nitiman — Normalizing reactions to queer relationships in BL
With that title, you're probably like "Rae, wth are you talking about?", but hear me out. The show is doing something really interesting in the way it's showcasing reactions to Bbomb and Jin's relationship. We're used to the very formulaic plot where the relationship is revealed and it's immediately met with disapproval/adversity which eventually leads to a break up (cue the Episode 11™️ curse) followed by an often half-baked reunion and happy ending. Nitiman is turning that formula on its head and it's honestly so refreshing.
It's implied that Jin has only dated girls in the past, but literally no one bats an eye when he and Bbomb start dating. They are now in relationship and all of the important people in their lives have started to find out, but nobody has made a big deal about it. Jin's sisters literally found Bbomb half naked in his bed and were just like "that's your friend, huh? 😏" and that was the end of it. In today's episode it was implied that Jin's mother may also know about their relationship and her response was to include Bbomb in the family picture.
What's the message here? Queer romantic relationships are just like heteroromantic relationships; they're both just about two people finding each other and falling in love.
P. S. It looks like Jin is going to tell Bbomb's mother about their relationship in next week's episode. I hope that she's able to understand and accept them as well.

Did Jin just tell Bbomb about his insecurities, listen to Bbomb's explanation, believe him and then ask for comfort?
Is that... is that communication?
Is that communication and comfort and listening to each other?
I... I need a moment.

Nitiman - EP8
Something might have happened between Jin and Bbomb because they tried to fall asleep in black and grey T-shirts, then Bbomb confessed that he was affected by their proximity, then they woke up in different clothes, and Jin had a hickey THEY REFUSED TO TALK ABOUT.
And Bbomb is blaming his sleepless night on drunk Jin. Hmmm. SOMETHING HAPPENED.
How dare they be so gentle.

We see the more painful side of waiting for someone to like you back in episode 5 of Nitiman.
This is especially the case when there is hope gifted to you by the person you love about the potential of having the type of love you’ve been craving.
It’s bittersweet. This entire episode was painfully hopeful.
It began with hope lighting up Bbomb’s eyes, before the pain begins to suck it away.

Tumblr media
The pain is having what you want right in front of you but not being able to touch it. It’s having someone be so close to you yet so distant from you at the same time.
It’s hope continuously being nourished and starved again and again and again.
The longer Jin takes to make his decision, the more pain Bbomb will be in before it’s too late to be undone.

In Nitiman at the end of ep 6 for the kissing scene at first I was like, YES YES FINALLY!!! But then I forgot that they were in a gazebo
Tumblr media
And all I could think of was John Mulaney’s bit about these townspeople in Connecticut who decided to build a gazebo in the middle of the civil war
