On the topic of chimera Sonic, Tails must be going THRU it

First a dragon like creature kidnaps his brother

then he has to venture into the dungeon to save him

then when he finds his older brother he’s not acting like himself and has feathers, wings and has the body of a freaking LION from the waist down

Then he has to presumably watch him kill people

And then after all that Tails finds out that Sonic died

That poor boy 😔 (im living for the angst)

And speaking of when Tails encounters Sonic again, does he find him already transformed or does he find him before in that trance-like state Falin was in when she snuck out the window in the middle of the night after she was resurrected? Or is it something different entirely?

OKAY SO... i've been doing some thinking about this crossover... and i've decided that sonic got kidnapped specifically because of his gauntlet. which ofc he's wearing again now that he's back in the satbk world.

but why did falin want his gauntlet? well... it's not that SHE wanted it, but she was told to get it. and sonic, the stubborn bastard, refused to give it up, so she ended up just taking him with it.

what's so special about the gauntlet? well, after sonic left camelot at the end of satbk, merlina gave up her goal of creating an undying world. but... wizards are peculiar things, aren't they? she spent all that time studying necromancy. all those hours laboring over ancient texts. even if she's not going to go through with her plan anymore, she still has the ego to preserve her hard work.

so, she split up her research. the spells she crafted are broken up like puzzle pieces and scattered throughout the satbk world... and one line of it, she had engraved on the inside of sonic's gauntlet. (for nostalgia? maybe. but she also knew the gauntlet would be protected within the walls of the castle.)

but yeah. falin was ordered to retrieve the gauntlet. so that's precisely what she did. as for why thistle wants it... well, he wants to reconstruct the spell of eternal life that merlina created because he believes it will bring back delgal. so he's on a mission to gather all the artifacts with her spell.

right. so, sonic and tails. sonic was summoned to the satbk world via magic portal (exactly like the last time he went there). tails got dragged along because they were standing literally right next to each other and of course tails is gonna follow him through the weird sketchy portal! they don't call him sonic's best bud for nothing, you know!

but who opened the magic portal??? well, it was merlina. sorry for the spoilers. she's currently "missing" in the land of camelot, and she doesn't greet sonic or tails when they fall through her portal. like i said in a previous post, there's about a day that goes by where everything is... normal... and sonic and tails get to explore the castle and converse with the knights and catch up on the goings-on of the world and stuff.

merlina's deal here is that she's working with thistle. in the first game, merlina appeared to be a good guy until it was revealed she was the twist villain. this time, she seems like the bad guy... until it's revealed she's actually trying to stop thistle. see, she knows power when she sees it. and thistle is a huge threat. so, she's working "with" him in order to find a weakness and stop him. that's also why she called sonic back to this world... because she knew she was going to need his help.

unfortunately, things didn't go as she'd planned. falin delivering sonic's gauntlet along with his DEAD BODY to thistle shocks her. but it's fine. she can work with this--she hopes. things get a little tricky when thistle wants to dispose of sonic though, and merlina has to come up with an excuse for him NOT to do that.

cuz she can't let thistle know that she knows sonic. that would make her look suspicious. after all, she summoned him to camelot IN SECRET to help her TAKE DOWN thistle. so, she claims that she can sense an immense power within sonic and that he might be "useful" to them... so they shouldn't let him go to waste. thankfully, this works. and thistle is like "ok slay" (not his exact words).

merlina revives sonic with the magic she's learned from thistle. sonic then has about 5 seconds to process coming back to life, seeing merlina, and also some other weird elf guy before said elf guy steps in and turns him into a chimera using a bottled monster soul.

merlina also wasn't expecting this, by the way. but she's a very "ends justify the means" type of person and that hasn't changed. so, she promises to succeed in stopping thistle as she watches him turn her friend into a monster before her eyes.

One thing i rlly love about the difference between Sonic and Scourge is that when Sonic’s being cool it’s like completely effortless

While Scourge actively trying to be all cool and badass but ends up being fucking loser (affectionate)

Like when he got juiced up by the master emerald and he changed his name to be all cool and stuff and then try to beat up sonic with his new power boost but he just loses

yeah thats it pretty much 😭 scourge is an incredible tryhard like he is trying SO hard to be cool while pretending that he is not trying at all but in actuality hes kind of just a bit of a shallow loser 💀💀💀

Can you tell us more about Bullet and Nine’s dynamic? Will they get a brotherly like bond eventually?

after learning from sonic that he was SUPPOSED to have a friend all along, but instead was subjected to a life full of scorn, loneliness, and isolation, of course nine wonders where in the world HIS sonic is... like, if he never showed up, what happened to him? is he dead?

nine starts looking into it. and (after hacking into their databases) he's surprised to find that the council has one (1) organic enforcer on their payroll*. it doesn't really seem like their m.o., those guys usually strangle everything they touch with steel, so it immediately sparks nine's interest. and then he sees a security camera snapshot of bullet.

and he is so angry. angrier than he's probably ever been at the chaos council. because now it's personal. now he knows that they are the reason why he's been alone this entire time. it never even occurs to him that bullet might've chosen to be there of his own free will... because, what the hell, right? the only thing that makes sense to nine is that they've captured him and are forcing him to be an enforcer.

and, well, he's not totally wrong--it's definitely a rock and a hard place, where bullet's at. like, he's basically a captive by his own circumstances.

so of course nine wants to free bullet. of course. this is HIS world's sonic--a sonic that won't disappear once the paradox prism gets fixed. it's something he can hold onto, something he can get attached to, something he can put his faith in. for the first time ever.

and now, imagine how nine feels when he offers his hand to bullet, and bullet refuses to take it.

*this is a joke. bullet makes 0 money working for the council. i doubt he even has health insurance

I can just imagine his eyes just dilating when he spots something that tickles the bird part of his brain

Dread must hate that feather brained menace cuz he swoops in to steal some of his booty to add to his nest

dread absolutely hates him but he hates him in the way that a sailor hates the weather. he knows it can be bad or it can be good. and gale has saved his ship as often as he causes problems, so it's a worthy trade off... putting up with his antics, i mean. yeah, if it means a helpful slipstream later... dread will tolerate him.

How does Windthrow interact with the other boscage maze residents? Is he their friend or enemy? And how does he interact with prime Sonic?

thorn rose probably doesn't like him very much. whenever he shows up, it's to grab something and go, and it's well established how much she hates it when people take things from the jungle.

as for everyone else, he probably doesn't see them very often. at least not while they're up there in the treetops. windthrow is a surface dweller first, and he loves the plants, so the barren treetops aren't his favorite. but because he's so fast and strong, they might be a little scared of him.

windthrow is also like a foot taller than everyone else. and ""eggman"" is taller than normal too. EVEN taller, i should say. since he's already canonically very tall.

halcyon gets weird vibes from him. tries to use his shard-energy-begone powers on him the first time they meet, because he assumes that windthrow is mutated megafauna from his appearance, but nothing happens. well, it tickles windthrow's nose a little bit, but that's about it.

prime sonic would probably be uhhh... weirded out? a little bit? i mean, you see a version of yourself that's basically been adopted by your arch nemesis, yeah, that's gotta be kind of weird. not to mention his discomfort with looking at a version of himself that appears visually and behaviorally similar to a monster.

but it seems. fine.

better than the situation in new yoke, at least.

This rlly reminded of what you said about Shadow interacting with the megafauna in boscage

shadow got added to the biggest group chat in the world against his will and with no way to turn off notifications and it's just the biggest nightmare for him. and the worst part is none of the megafauna can TALK as in communicate with any earthlings because they're just sending psychic alien waves with their weird plant growls at each other but shadow has a MOUTH and he CAN talk to the earthlings. and once the plants realize that, they are immediately Interested in him and his chances of getting out of this awful awful group chat drop to 0

Sorry to invade but I love your art and how it’s feeding my scourge x fiona obsession cuz I’m 100% not normal about them

I had this dumb idea about Fiona and Scourge and I know that for many reasons this can’t happen but-

Fiona blatantly dating scourge while she’s apart of the freedom fighters and making extremely halfhearted attempts to cover it up because literally no one notices

Sonic: is that… Scourge?

Fiona: (looks up to see scourge in moustache sitting in her couch)

Fiona: … (sarcastically) no that’s my friend, John

Sonic: oh okay, nice to meet ya John!

Scourge has also put on a bad Texas accent and put on a lower quality leather jacket (not zipped so his chest scars are on display)

Fiona is like 60% certain that they all know and they’re just messing with her.

Everyone is genuinely shocked when Fiona’s friend John is actually Scourge the hedgehog
