Curse of the Nitghborne.

Guys, I haven't had time to play a lot, but I think the god of this land MAY BE the bad guy, but don't listen to me much.

Get up, folk! Flor did another Curse of Strahdanya crossover after Derek mentioned Lethica fused with Strahdanya as one throw joke in a stream!

The style is indeed inspired by the great art in Hades (the videogame), and the background is by Hades II.

Lethica Nightborne as Strahdanya

----LORE------- In Barovia, a land of the dead, of suffering and grief, a new god has appeared out of nowhere covering the land in an eternal night... Of happiness? Lethica Nightborne, known as the Divine, has presented herself as the saviour that the land needed it, for what seems like decades. Her light, her kindness, her power, has changed the region and the hearts of the people to their core, as the land has been reborn... As there's new blood... But of course, you can't blame the nature of evil, so there's still death, suffering and pain in Barovia, but of course, our saviour, our dear wife, cleans it as she chooses. And if she asks for a sacrifice, of course, we will bring it to her, if she asks for the firstborn of every family, we will name the second after her, and if she asks that we take care of her dinner guests, we shall take care of them. -----DESIGN------- All I knew of Lethica was that I wanted her to wear a veil, and she couldn't only be a countess but a whole god, the saviour of Barovia. The churches don't talk about sun gods, only of her, their lady of dark, their god. Her dress comes from mixing Stradhanya's and hers, ending in a very 19th figure, with a bit of Mesopotamian fashion (the metal belts and sleeves with the double skirt) to show her as a figure of the past, as somehow older than she appears. Of course, she had to have some kind of knife so a knife fan, and a cup to show wealth and power (her cup is always full, full of what? Well, if you look at the very pale man under with not a lot of blood left-)

Marius Renathyr as Victoria Issacs

-----LORE------- Marius as a man of Ilmater seems to be QUITE interested in Barovia, a land of suffering and grief, to the extreme that seems too personal to just be a missionary mission to conquer pain. The university doesn't trust him completely, but somehow, even as a new member of the university and resident of Druskenwald, Marius had found a way to get the vote of everyone involved and the funds for the crusade. But what would be the real reasons for such travel? Or... WHO is the real reason? ------DESIGN ------ Inspired by the old missionary ropes of the 1800s and the typical vampire hunter, Marius stands as a very weird-looking holy man. From Victoria's design, we get the rosary turned into this over-complicated necklace and the ropes around his hips that reference the bloody ropes of Ilmater. (Victoria's, and now Marius, god.) And his sword has turned into a cane. (a cane with a blade.)

Yorgrim as Silas "Shepherd" Morgan

-----LORE-------- From the depths of Yona, a mercenary is invited to participate in an expedition to a land of death and suffering. He accepts stating that he has other business in Barovia and he could be glad to accompany the group under the condition he would work in peace when need it. Of course, he refuses to say the kind of work, you know, "professional privacy policy" and all. But by his reputation... It can't be good... -----DESIGN------- I was going to go with a funeral worker, but the scarf with teeth appeared and it changed the vision. The design takes more inspiration from Shepherd than Yorgrim, with the hunter theme, with the shotgun filled with blue magic and a list of hunts on red clay (that would be broken when the hit is eliminated.)

Briggsy "The Kutlass" Kratch as Professor Clayton Azran

LORE------- Briggsy may take the role of the professor, but he's not the expedition's leader. He's contracted by the University of Druskenwald to keep an eye on Marius (since the university is suspicious of the holy man). He accepts, without even wondering or caring what Barovia is, only happy to finally obtain a title under his piracy by the lords of Druskenwald. (He's getting paid to be a pirate, oh the dream!) DESIGN------ With his design, he was the last one and I was VERY tired, so... It's something weird? You know, a pirate trying to look like a "noble man". (but he's very much failing, he looks like a maniac I think)

Jericho Sticks/Virgil as Sarnax of the Edelwood

----LORE----- The cult of Gherix initially refused the university and the idea of letting them explore the runes in their forest. Until they accept but a month away from the expedition which is extremely suspicious. When the group found themselves in the forest, there he is, Jericho, a sacrificial figure of sticks and straw offered by the cult as a guide. (Of course, the poor, only brought to life months ago, strawman is a sacrifice in the name of Gherix that, by burning in Barovia, will give the god control over the whole region. / Indeed, Virgil is now Gherix we get an asshole god, give it up!) -----DESIGN----- Inspired by Wicker Man (giant figures of sticks and straw with animal sacrifices that are burned during Celtic rituals such as the Beltane.) Jericho is turned into a sacrificial figure who will burn when it's necessary by the light that keeps him alive.

Farryn of the Hartsblight as Kana Soyokaze.

-------LORE------- It isn't clear when or how, but Farryn ends up getting involved with the expedition. As a storm in sea, one day, the swordswoman appears out of the blue stating that she's also trying to find her way into Barovia. The deer refuses to explain her business with the "Divine" of all people, only holding her katana with anger and sadness, but she's clearly not looking to make friends. (She ends up being friends with the whole party.) -------DESIGN----- Based on the Sika deer (a Japanese deer), the design lingers more around the fusion character while keeping Farryn's figure, with the open skirt covered by her leg armour that goes up to her hips and the war paint, fur, and bone that stays in view.

Some notes now that I'm 8 episodes into EoM, spoilers abound:

If Briggsy doesn't stop calling Yorgrim "Yorgi" I'm gonna start thinking he's fruity.

I've gotten one whole spoiler for EoM and it's that Yorgrim will experience something similar to Gid in OUAW 41, so I'm trying so hard not to get too attached to Anya.

The moment that the Archbishop showed up he gave me massive Count Frollo vibes and then I was RIGHT. That man is Frollo but if his sin was gluttony and not lust. Also poor Hugo.

I do not care if Jericho is a freaky little sentient demon cage, he is MY freaky little sentient demon cage.

Wasn't expecting the whole Cardinal Sins theming. Wasn't expecting Farryn to represent lust (I was expecting her to be gluttony, like the consumption of blight). Wasn't expecting canonically sapphic Farryn. Good for her.

I think I would like Marius more if the struggle with his vampiric nature was more of a threat. Let him wrestle with his primal urges. Have him faulter like in Lockwood Manor. Physically restrained at the smell of blood for fear he may do so. As it currently stands he's too hinged for my taste.

No idea how Lethica has so much pure sapphic energy but also I still ship her with Marius. And like not in a bisexual way. This may not make sense, but rest assured, I'm just as confused as you are.

My friend asked me which Christmas songs the LOA characters would listen to so I'm putting the list here. Correct me if I'm wrong cause I've only watched OUAW and two episodes of icebound also I don't know many Christmas songs :')

OUAW

Gricko would listen to Rudolph the red nose reindeer with Hootsie

Frost would probably be forced to listen to that bc I feel like he would be like Gricko, Santa isn't real

Gideon would listen to Grandma got ran over by a reindeer but not care about any of the lyrics except GRANDMA GOT RAN OVER BY A REINDEER

Kremy would secretly sing all I want for Christmas is you while thinking of Gideon

ICE BOUND

Queenie would listen to Frosty the snowman with Barnabos and Taishen while Skrimm and Jornir are forced to listen to it with them (Actually I don't think Barnabos would like Christmas cause of his superstitions)

I forgot Twig but Twig would also like Frosty the snowman

I honestly can't imagine any of the CoS crew listening to Christmas songs?? (Maybe Clayton cause I think he has kids but I could be wrong)

Chuckles would also listen to Grandma got ran over by a reindeer or the Grinch

Dandy would probably listen to Santa Claus is coming to town?

And I can't really imagine Pyke Rett Kavir or Leboosh listening to Christmas songs? (I could be wrong, I didn't even finish episode one)

I don't know much about Farynn (Idk if I spelled her name right) but I think she'd listen to the Alvin and the chipmunks song with Briggsy

I don't know much about the EoM crew so this is just me guessing lmao but I don't think Yorgrim Marius or Lethica would listen to Christmas songs (Maybe Lethica would but I can't think of a good song right now?)

Oh Torbek wouldn't even know what Christmas is and would listen to whatever the rest are singing/listening to

So this doesn't actually count as D&D (Cause it's not) but it's still from LOA (It's Root because I'm running out of characters also I've only watched d one episode of this so don't kill me)

So Bitsy would listen to Grandma got ran over by a reindeer

Booker would listen to all I want for Christmas is you (I think it would be funny)

Hazel would listen to the Alvin and the chipmunks song cause she's a chipmunk. Hazel would also listen to all I want for Christmas is food.

Peggy and Grumbley would listen to Frosty the snowman

That's all I know somewhat well enough to do this. I might do like Mikey and the rest but idk

EoM update Pt.2

BACK TO TALKING ABOUT THE GOOFY GANG Last part was Marius, Lethica, and Jericho NOW BIG GRAVEDIGGER MAN PLEASE CARRY ME Yorgrim. YORGI!!! This guy is my favorite type of big guy. He's a caretaker of sorts, ODDLY ESPECIALLY IWTH MARIUS?? He's a big guy with a big tombstone on his back!! Someone hug him because that guilt is WAY HEAVIER THAN YA'LL THINK IT IS. Poor guy. He's not used to having friends or family, its very clear by how he acts. He's not able to like- figure out how to act with people he's close too. But its clear he cares about them alot. He gives up alot to keep them safe (flashback to Marius in the basement of the crooked house.) He doesn't want to loose anyone else but he just really cares. BUT HE'S A STUBBORN BASTARD. Especially with people he hates, if he hates you his STUBBORN MAN. (*cough* Billy Van Brunt). Anyways love this goofy gravedigger and his feelings and his care. He's a good guy, I want him to carry me. please. please. I wanna ride on his shoulders. Please please please please ple- MUSHROOM FLAVORED LESBIAN Farryn. Farryn is just great, I love her accent and she's got some goofy quotes. She's caring and loving, she loves the earth and her friends. SHE DOESN'T FEAR NO DEATH!! But she does fear centipedes LOL. She's fun, I love how she'll be very serious when she says certain stuff but its so damn FUNNY i can't do it. She's also a gay Icon we love her, protect her, we love the forest girlies. She's always reassuring Jericho when he's sad and making sure to do what she can to keep her friends safe along with any other lil humans or wild animals she meets. Skinny legend (I do hope she's okay I'm halfway through the campaign and she's not eaten anything but sap and a sprig of rosemary) SKITTERING SCRAMBLING PIRATE ZOMBIE VOODOO GUN Briggsy. *sigh's deeply* I do love him. I love him lots his silly and goofy and his recklessness is REALLY FUNNY. I do wish he was a little less GREEDY but i know that his whole shtick and I can't lie i do love him for it. Greedy Lizardfolk Warlocks are a bit of a trend, and I'm here for it. I dig the VooDoo gun. And the way he's just- I don't even know how to describe it. WATCH THE CAMPAIGN YOU'LL UNDERSTAND. He's like irresponsible, but in a funny way, and he depends on his friends more than he'd like to admit. I love him, "He's pretty funny" <- read in Dereks voice for full affect. The whole "Not It!!" thing for his character works well and I just find it hilariously.

You say you slay creatures of the night? Do you not consider your friends to be such? A zombie, a demon scarecrow, a worshipper of an evil god... Why have you not cut them down yet? They're clearly evil

They're not evil, they're my friends. Briggsy didn't ask to be a zombie, he's still helpful(sometimes). Jericho never wanted to have a demon inside him and is clearly good, I mean look at him! He's a scarecrow that plays a banjo, do you think that's evil? And for Lethica, I don't care if her lady of loss is evil or not because I know for a fact that Lethica is not. She's kind, caring and sweet just like the rest of my friends. I do slay creatures of the night because they're vile beings that do not deserve to even have a life but my friends are not vile and they do deserve a life, a happy life in fact. And I don't give a fuck about what anybody else says.

Hi Everyone! First of all, I wanted to deeply apologize for my lack of presence on this channel and this Tumblr. Over a year ago, I was introduced to Undertale and streaming whilst at one of the lowest points of my life. That day, I was fully prepared to jump off the roof of my apartment complex. Streaming for so many people, despite under the influence, absolutely saved my life and I am forever grateful. Unfortunately, that did not cut to the root of the problem. As much as I wanted to believe otherwise, streaming was not going to be an effective treatment for what I found out was severe anxiety, depression, and PTSD. At that point and over the next year and a half, I was struggling and barely surviving with my job and with no insurance, and at that point no ability to get counseling and even the proper medical treatment for these conditions. My uncanny ability to adapt to even the gravest situations allowed me to think outside the box and despite my more traditional views on self-care, gave me the ability to allow streaming to do what counseling and medication could. However, that backfired horrendously. While my move to California was absolutely the right call, as there as nothing left for me to accomplish on the East Coast, it has been, to say the least, a trial by fire. There was a lot of dysfunction, sadness, depression, and violence. My friends, with their seemingly endless amount of support and patience, stuck by me through numerous episodes, and it took a long time for me to realize that no matter what they said or did, that I would never get any better until I actually tried to help myself. For me, that was so difficult to come to terms with. Anyone who has encountered me for more than five minutes knows that I am a very strong-willed, independent individual who cannot stand the thought of failure. Even failing at things beyond my control. The final straw was in March, which was the near breakup of FMD Gaming due to my behavior. I was very resistant to any sort of treatment, thinking that my lack of insurance and funding forced me to deal with my illness on my own. I was not willing to admit that my brain was tearing everything I built apart. Nevertheless, at the last second, thanks to my mom giving me a much-needed talk, I pledged a complete turnaround. That was back in March. All I had to do was go to counseling. That's it. I started in March and have been diligently attending every week, even when I'm feeling good and don't believe I need a session. Over time, I confronted all of the demons that have been haunting me for my whole life, and while I still fight every day, my armor became impenetrable and the battles became easier to fight. Gradually, things started looking up despite my more seasoned and realistic look on life. I relapsed less. The anxiety and panic attacks happened became more manageable. I started a rigorous running/strength training routine to help fight my depression and now I can run an 8-minute mile and saw my body completely transform. To help treat my anxiety, I started studying and now I can hold up a decent conversation in four different languages and hope to be completely fluent with them all within a year. I have my driving and motorcycle permit and plan to have my licenses before November. I started at a decent position with full salary and benefits, which means that I can finally get the mental health benefits that I need. All I had to do was go the extra mile to make sure I made myself better. Because if I don't, how the hell am I going to help anyone else? So as you have probably guessed, all of this was the direct cause of how stagnant FMD has been. I am deeply, deeply sorry that I have not given you the best that you guys deserve. I know it is a group effort, but I am the one who is supposed to lead and motivate, and I have failed. It was because I had no business leading when I did not have the courage to make sure I was well enough to make this run the way it should. Now that I've gotten over that hump and am able to really see what is happening without recoiling in shame or running away from the issues at hand, there will be a lot of changes happening with the channel. All of us are working full-time and can only give a certain amount of time to FMD, since we all have our own goals as well as this. Therefore, I have come up with a plan in order to maximize the quality of the videos and to hopefully give you guys content that you enjoy. We are all going to spend this week getting our brains together and on Monday, have a huge overhaul meeting as to what we actually want to accomplish with this. For now, enjoy these last two videos on Tuesday and Thursday in the regular format. After that, we are starting from scratch. We are extremely grateful to those who have stood by us and have been patient with us, and especially me. All I can say is thank you. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. I stayed away for a long time to get myself together and I hope to be welcomed back with open arms. Briggsy is back and better than ever and hopefully you like what you see. I mean, if not, that’s fine. Because I sure do. 😉

EoM update Pt. 1

My blocks of little reactions for other campaigns is put on hold for this one. I have so much I want to say about Edge of Midnight but its diffrent. I want to sit and just talk through the campaign and all my thoughts, not little silly posts but something in depth. This campaign is much more serious than the others I'd watched. Of course its got funny moments, some that have made me genuinely howl with laughter. But the thing is its just got me so invested and enthralled, a 10/10 campaign. The horror in it is amazing and Nikkie is so descriptive, I've nearly thrown up multiple times, but like its just really really *good* The friendships in this campaign are my favorite of any so far, the way Marius protects everyone and they all just kinda have a deep concern and care for each other. They all just decided when they met that they were all- well- in a sense, family. Everyone of their personalities I adore, they all just care about each other, even Briggsy LOL The characters themselves, even outside of that found family vibe, are all amazing. I could go on for a while about each of them. And I will. LETS START WITH THE PRETTY BOY. Marius. Marius is amazing, I'm usually not too keen on the "good boy paladin" i think the trope is usually boring. But god did Andy do it right. Marius is protective, brave, affectionate, and very set on his morals. He knows he's made mistakes and is SET on making it right and making sure his friends/family are safe and healthy. And more than that, strangers too. But he's not naive, he's anything but, especially because of his Vampire-esc nature. WHICH BY THE WAY IS MY FAVORITE PART OF HIS CHARACTER. The way Andy describes Marius's vampiric nature is so badass. And you can just FEEL the way Marius feels about it too. I love it. PRETTY LADY TIME Lethica. I love Lethica, she's cunning and beautiful and rather sly. You would think she'd be stoic, and while she *is*, she's also funny, sarcastic, passive aggressive, but also caring. She too cares deeply about those around her even if she doesn't show it as openly as Marius, but you can tell. I also love her goofy bag of holding, i know its evil but why make it so likeable??? ALSO (mild spoilers for episode 8) When Yorgrim gets his ass beat by Billy, her reaction was to rush over to him and gently place her hand on his arm. "Yorgrim.." She casted healing word with his name being the healing word. I don't know why but i LOVE that. Usually with these guys healing word is some goofy shit but she just softly says their name and I don't know I just LOVE THAT. Especially with her accent god i'm gay i love her she's hot anyways FREN SHAPED SCARECROW!! (and weird crow) Jericho. I love my lil tall baby boy scarecrow crow demon baby, and Virgil is here too ig. Jericho was the first character we met and good for it because I was attached to him imminently. He's so sweet and he just wants friends, and good thing Marius is there because they're laterally the best-est best friends I love their goofy dynamic. Jerichos songs are so silly and creative and I love them. His whole weird bird thing is also SUPER interesting, seeing Virgil take over was a huge change of pace and I wish it got touched on more. Give him hugs, he deserves them. PLEASE hug him. Virgil is goofy, tell him to stop being mean MORE TO COME I HAVE TO TALK ABOUT THE OTHER THREE
