So far Chalice of The Gods and Wraith of The Triple Goddess has only told me one thing: Percy's probably wishing he gave Luke the W more and more.

Reasons Why Percabeth Doesn’t Work For Me
Note: If you like Percabeth and get aggressive and hurtful when someone disagrees with you then this isn’t something you’re interested in, I’m going to have to ask you to move along :D I’m entitled to my opinions as you are yours. Any aggression targeted at me because I don’t ship what you ship will be treated with demeaning responses
You have been warned
Side Note: I have nothing but love for Rick Riordan, these are solely my opinions, which I’m entitled to have.
If you have anything to include, feel free to add your own thoughts.
I’m putting this under a Read More so people who don’t want to see this doesn’t have to.
1. It’s mostly fanservice. We’ve went through the entire first series of Percy wishing for normalcy. Annabeth can’t give him that. If anything she’s dragging him into more shit. See ending of Magnus Chase: The Hammer of Thor.
2. Annabeth loved Luke and barely took any time grieving before she decided to become a co-dependent thing with Percy. Let’s be real, Percy’s suppose to be a rebound for her but because fanservice, it’s not getting to that.
3. Percy’s “normalcy” ship would have been Rachel as Rachel wasn’t pulling him into shit, she was helping him. She was rather understanding about it, too. But it was claimed that her interest in him was purely because of the oraclecy... Or whatever and to ensure that poor girl will probably never know romantic love which you can’t totally tell me is fine and dandy because the girl is clearly at least a little interested in dating since she asked Apollo about it.
4. Starting a life in New Rome. It’s clearly stated that Percy feels home in New York and he doesn’t want to leave his mom. But he’s willing to some day pick up his whole life and go to New Rome with Annabeth... Okay. Camp Halfblood has been the only true home (debatable, I suppose) that Annabeth has ever known. Yes, there’s a lot of painful memories there, but there’s a lot of good ones, too. She’d have to travel across America just to go back and visit with no guarantee she’d survive the trip. Basically, every “visit” to Camp Halfblood would be a quest in it’s own right. It doesn’t make sense.
5. Rival parents. If we learned anything from Romeo and Juliet. That. Shit. Don’t. Work. Spoiler: They die (tragically) at the end. Honestly, that rivalry isn’t just going to go away otherwise the other rivalries wouldn’t have been inherited by demigods. P. S. Romeo and Juliet weren’t in love, they barely knew each other. It was a teenage infatuation that went way too far.
6. Opposites attract need not apply. There’s “opposites” and then there’s “polar opposites”. Percy and Annabeth can work amazingly as friends. As a couple, they’re too different. It’s a matter of personalities that will later cause clashing when “starting a life together”
7. Percy’s a seventeen year old boy (give or take) talking about settling down and starting a family. Settling down and getting married, I get. Starting a family seems... just a lot. And I get that he’s a demigod meaning he has a low survival rate, but still. He’s a seventeen year old boy. I get him being like kids one day, but he’s kind of like “This will be great for our kids” one day not included seems like it’s trying to rush into a relationship.
and 8. Rushed relationship never work out. Ask someone who’s dated a narcissist. Hell, I dated a guy that tried to rush our relationship and, honestly, it ended with me wanting to punch him in the face.
9. If you think that Annabeth wouldn’t punch Percy in the face because a rushed trainwreck of a relationship, she judo flipped him for worrying her (and that wasn’t even his fault).
10. She straight up got mad at him for scaring her. This just pisses me off for a few reasons, but my main one happens to be that the boy was freaked the fuck out, too, and while I understand she was focused on herself, she acts like he did it on purpose. Like... are you fucking kidding me? Whatever.
11. Annabeth being the reason he survived the dip in Styx when it realistically should have been his mom. That was just shipper nonsense because for some reason when it comes to relationships you’re suppose to love that person more than anything and they’re suppose to keep you grounded or whatever but that’s not real romantic love unless you have no one but shitty people in your life but it should have been his mom.
12. Percy should have remembered his mom and not Annabeth when Hera erased his memory, considering how fucking important Sally Jackson is to that boy. Like seriously, after that I was so irritated that while I fucking ate up PJO (finished the whole series in like 3-5 day) it took me forever to get through HoO (like the course of several months). But of course, that wasn’t the only thing about HoO that irritated me and made me take so long.
13. Annabeth doesn’t seem to be acknowledging that Percy needs a goddamn break. See #1.
14. Honestly, I feel like their scenes are forced on me and I don’t find them cute. I get a scene with them and it feels like I’m getting a ulcer... This is a personal thing, but it’s my thing so I’m putting it here and no one can tell me not to. THIS IS MY BLOG AND PERCABETH MAKES ME PSYCHICALLY SICK SO SUCK IT.
15. The way Annabeth treated Rachel out of jealousy. Just because you’re jealous doesn’t mean you need to be bitchy and catty. Maybe if you fucking said something about your feelings, this wouldn’t be a fucking issue, but whatever.
16. They have more chemistry with other people than they do with each other. Annabeth has more chemistry with Piper (and that was a rushed friendship in itself), so on and so forth.
That’s all I got right now.
