There Does Not Exist Caution: Crushing Hazard Lager (Picked up at Windmill Farms). A 4 of 4. Probably my favorite can art of the year and a really clean and delightful light lager. There's a nice bit of cereal sweetness to the body and faint hop notes with a touch of citrus. This is very easy to drink and quite refreshing, and the excellent ingredient quality really does set it apart.

i made the stickers! i thought u'd like to see them :D i tried two kinds of stickers paper (I've never used sticker paper before), one clear glossy and one white matte. i ended up liking the matte ones more, tho i did use one of the glossy!
the single glossy i used, by the outlets i use for my desk:
Tumblr media
the rest are the paper kind; two on my PC tower:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
i live in an RV with slideouts that are truly crush hazards, so here's some stickers next to the slideout switches:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
one on the breaker box:
Tumblr media
one next to the door (which has metal stairs outside that get dangerously slippery):
Tumblr media
and one on the oven!
Tumblr media
i have extra left over and will undoubtedly be putting them on more things :) the funniest thing for me is that there's already a lotta caution stickers around, so at first glance they don't look out of place at all, but then you look closer and it's Horny :D
THE WORLD IS SO BEAUTIFUL
I am delighted by the fact that these exist in the world somewhere... how wonderful! I hope they jumpscare at least one person badly.

I feel like I should watch red dwarf. Should I watch red dwarf
YES because i want to talk about this with everyone so badly!
though with caution i suggest you weigh if being exposed to all of the inconsistencies in lore and going slowly insane trying to piece that hazard of a mess together is worth the seriously fun scifi consepts, dynamics and tomfoolery that lead up to some scrumpaliciously crushing stuff *cough* the moonlight speech *cough* and if it's comedy you want it's an intriguing one for sure !
of you do decide in favour, i think you're going to love the Observation Dome, oh the observation dome my beloved <3 one simply can't not love the observation dome for it's beauty and everything it represents

Hi ! You give great advice that has helped me before , so here i am at your door again. I’m 19 , female, never had a date. And i feel really lonely so i wanted to try this dating app . And an actor that i love uses it too. However, admission rates are low and they demand instagram. I could use that app to make friends too. I just feel really lonely. Do you think having an instagram would help? What advice would u give me?
Hello,
Welcome to my latest novel!
*insert here a reminder that English is not my first language
While craving connection and love is very natural and loneliness is understandably distressing, I'm going to officially declare that this is not the way.
The type of men you can find on Raya are older, experienced, famous, wealthy. The world is their oyster. You do not know them, what they are like, what they want, how they react where they don't get their way. You do not know what fame has done to them, their ego, trust, character. And in the era of the manosphere douchebags who actively look for women like you to trap, you need to proceed with caution.
It would be hazardous for you to learn how to swim by jumping into the ocean in the middle of a tsunami. You have not gone on a date, probably have not slept or done anything saucy with anyone, and maybe have not even kissed someone. Trying to get with a millionaire celebrity who gets hundreds of nudes in their DMs daily and can get anyone they want is very ambitious. Doing so when you have no experience, game, or skill in bed, will have to be guided every step of the way and are deeply insecure, is a scenario that ends well only in fanfiction written by a teenage girl who has never had a real conversation with a man.
Real-life men will either not look at you at all because they have lazier options, manipulate you because you have no way of telling the difference, or awkwardly reject you because dating someone who has no idea what she wants would be off-putting and make them feel like groomers.
Take it from a late bloomer: there is no deadline for a first relationship. It means nothing about your value as a person. And that is why pursuing people before you find yourself is dangerous: if you don't know what you are after, have no boundaries, and cannot make your own choices, people will make those decisions for you. If you wallow in self-pity in every conversation you have, they will either walk away because they are not therapists and have to protect themselves or take advantage of your weaknesses because you are begging for a crumb of attention and will be giving way more than they will ever give back, while thinking that this is how you will get treated the way you want. The truth is that if there is a hierarchy in the relationship, it will turn into Stockholm syndrome and you will be miserable.
I have talked about this before: when you don't know someone but you get a crush on them, your brain will see them as an unfinished puzzle and start filling up the blanks with your personal preferences. By doing so, you will create a person that does not exist, and when you eventually talk to the guy you have been dreaming of for six months, he will disappoint you, because the puzzle man has never and will never be. And it's worse if you are crushing on a celebrity: their PR team's whole job is to give them an excellent reputation and their work (characters, songs, etc.) is making them look attractive and fun. For all you know, your actor guy abuses his dog, uses slurs because he thinks it's funny and would ask about your underwear within the first minutes of the conversation if you matched with him.
Being in an adult relationship requires a number of things.
One, you need to be interesting, have things to say, passions you can ramble about, and answers to any question your match might have. If you are not there, it is time for self-discovery, trying new things, and discovering what is important to you and what you don't care about. Your partner cannot make you happy if you cannot show him how to do it and will not want to do it if talking to you feels like staring at a washing machine during a cycle.
Two, you need to be secure. You need to love yourself so you don't need others to feel confident, you need friends so you don't suffocate your partner and can stay your own person, you need a job, money, and drive so you can be independent, you need to address your trauma so no one can use your despair to treat you like garbage and get away with it (students get discounts, use them!).
Three, you need to be comfortable with adult activities (obviously people can be ace but most are not and especially not Raya people). Let's illustrate: you got a date with mister guy who invites you over, takes off his shirt and asks you to sit on him, does it feel arousing or excruciating? Would you sit and grind, or run outside and vomit? If you would look away, you're not ready for a relationship and I would rather you find out now than in front of a horny half-naked stranger who might not be good with rejection. Explore your body to figure out what you like so you can get the message across when the time comes.
And you know what? It's okay. People have different lives. You have things to recover from and he doesn't. He has access to opportunities that make him bolder and that is not your case. You might like different things and not be made to be together. No one was made for you. The first one will probably not be the one that makes you feel like you could love him forever, and it's fine, but no one will ever be exactly what you want, just like you have quirks that others will find peculiar or annoying. What makes a good relationship is good intentions and commitment.
Because of that, my advice (finally, we're there) is that you focus on yourself, on healing, first, and that you find a couple of good friends, that will treat you with love and respect, and that you will not treat as a parent or a box of tissues. Find them on social media, on Bumble BFF, or at an event somewhere in your city. Go out there, and try. Talk to people. Get comfortable with starting conversations with strangers. Learn small talk, try to make them laugh and feel appreciated, and fake being unapologetically yourself until you stop feeling like a waste of space.
So yes, you can get an IG, but make it a public diary, a way to express yourself and share what makes you happy, not a way to get into a pretentious dating app. Do things for yourself, so you can one day look back and be happy with the way you spent the very little time you got on Earth. Love will come.
Love,
Mum

1000 Things to Do with Sulfuric Acid [Oneshot]
GN!builder/Qi; crack
Warnings: None
Also on AO3
Summary: #512: A gift for a special someone~
Qi frowned at the page. What strange advice. A hazardous chemical was generally not considered to be a socially acceptable gift, much less a gift with romantic connotations.

#512: A gift for a special someone~
Got a special someone in your life? Or maybe you’ve got your eye on someone special…? Whether it’s a spouse, a partner, or a crush, a beaker’s worth of sulfuric acid is sure to capture their heart. A gift that shows how much you care and how deep your trust runs.
CAUTION: Make sure to create a solution with a concentration that you can safely trust them with, and give it in a safe, sealed, and labeled container!!
Qi frowned at the page. What strange advice. A hazardous chemical was generally not considered to be a socially acceptable gift, much less a gift with romantic connotations.
He sighed and shut the book, not even bothering to bookmark it. He’d bought the book because the title intrigued him: 1000 Things to Do with Sulfuric Acid. He thought it would be a thousand experiment ideas or uses in machinery, which, to be fair, the first hundred or so were. But beyond that, the ideas started getting increasingly bizarre. It seemed the only thing this book was good for was amusement.
For whatever reason, instead of picking up another book, Qi felt compelled to stare at the cover for a little longer, with its bold title font and bright color scheme. A familiar sensation slowly crawled its way through his mind. If Qi had to give it a physical analog, he’d describe it as…an itch. An itch, an urge, to experiment, to inquire, to make something.
A hypothesis, a blueprint, a sketch, a problem…
…An idea.
An idea between this book, and…
His eyes trailed up to the wall his desk was against, specifically to its latest addition, a framed photo of him and…
…the builder.
It was their idea to take the photo on a date one time, as the two of them walked hand in hand by the oasis, watching the sun set. They were pressed close together, arms over each other’s shoulders. A bright smile was on the builder’s face, while a much more mild one was on Qi’s.
His mind drifted to their near-endless generosity towards him, even when they first met. They almost always had something for him. A power stone, a data disk, a relic, tea, coffee, a hot plate of food… He hardly gifted them anything in return, though they never seemed to mind. He wanted to reciprocate their generosity somehow, to show that he truly appreciated it. Like the book said, he wanted to show that he cares. Even though his intuition was telling him that sulfuric acid made a terrible gift, he couldn’t help but wonder if the book’s advice had some kind of merit. If they enjoyed it, wonderful! If not, then at least he would have satiated his curiosity and confirmed that this book is, in fact, total nonsense. No harm done. Unless the builder gets harmed from the acid, which would…not be ideal. He would have to ensure that wouldn’t happen, as to maximize the positive effects of this gift.
He got out of his chair and walked over to the fume hood, putting on his protective gear before opening the chemical cabinet. He could make this work.
------------
The builder opened the door to the research center right as Qi looked over from his shelves.
“How far off am I?” they said with a smile.
“About 2 minutes. Usually you come in around 8:33.”
“That’s still within 1%, I guess. I’ll shoot for 8:33 on the dot next time.”
“Well don’t do that, you’ll pollute the data. All of my predictions are based on your natural behavior. Trying to skew the data in any direction is bad science.”
“Hm. Wouldn’t want that, would we?” They pecked his cheek as he pulled them into a side-hug. They reached into their bag and pulled out a condensed power stone. “Need one of these?”
Qi’s eyes widened. “I do, as a matter of fact. Thank you.” He graciously took it and put it in his dwindling supply bin. “How do you know precisely when I need more?”
The builder grinned. “Hey, you keep track of my habits, I keep track of yours. Your bin over there always looks kinda empty by the 15th every month. More or less.”
“Quite accurate. I receive a regular shipment of power stones on the 17th of every month. I try to space out my usage of them, but sometimes I really need a few extra towards the middle of the month. So, I do appreciate it.”
The builder pumped their fist. Nailed it. “I’ll keep bringing you more, then. Hell, I’ll give you a whole box full of them. I barely use them with how many dregs I can sweep up.”
Qi waved a hand. “No need. My energy supply is subsidized by the Alliance. Just a few when I really need them is more than enough.”
“Well, if you need any, just ask. I’ve got plenty to go ‘round.”
A tiny smile tugged at Qi’s lips. “I’ll keep that in mind.” His brow raised suddenly. “Oh! That reminds me. I have something for you.” He made his way over another small, locked cabinet.
“What’s the occasion?”
“Nothing in particular. I just…figured I should give you something besides a diagram and tea every once in a while. You’re always giving me things and I hardly ever return the favor.”
The builder flushed. “Aw, you didn’t have to…”
“I insist,” Qi said gently. “I don’t want your goodwill to be met with relative indifference.”
From the cabinet, he produced a simple glass vial with a screw-on lid. Some kind of clear liquid was inside. A label ran across the vial’s middle: “H2SO4”.
“Here you are. I, um…hope it is acceptable.”
The builder gingerly took it and turned it over. “Uh, thanks…! What…what is it?”
Qi raised an eyebrow. “Huh? It’s labeled, isn’t it?”
“Yeah, but…what does it mean? Some kind of chemical?”
“Of course. That’s the chemical formula for sulfuric acid. Because the contents are sulfuric acid.”
The builder was suddenly very aware of the sweat and oil on their hands. “Huh–uh…whaa?”
“I struggled a bit with what concentration I should’ve created,” Qi said with a hand on his chin. “99% is the most commonly sold, but it seemed a bit excessive and dangerous to hand out without much thought. Plus, it’s rather expensive. I would have to order some more if I gave you some, and I’m already close to running my budget over this month.”
The builder gripped the vial tighter. Or wait—it was glass. Maybe they shouldn’t be holding it so tight.
“But on the other hand, something between 0-30% seemed, er, for the lack of a better term…lame. You are not a child. You can be trusted to handle hazardous substances to some extent. At least, I do. And as a well-trained lab technician, my judgment overrules any potential nay-sayers to your competence. I cannot say the same for many of my former assistants.”
The builder glanced around nervously. Was there anywhere to set this down? Qi’s shelves were landslide hazards, so not there…
“I remembered to rule out 50% as well. And any other basic, well-known ratio or number.  Something like that would seem so thoughtless. Anyone could think up those numbers. And anyone can mix a 50% solution! So no 5s or 10s, no squares or cubes, no thirds, no quarters,  no…immaturity…”
The floor was definitely out of the question. They’d 100% kick it over at some point. Ugh, all this talk of percents…
“But after about an hour just staring at my glassware, I had an epiphany. Primes! Fascinating numbers, those. I’m sure you appreciate their beauty as well. A perfect fit for a gift to you.”
Holding the vial out a good bit in front of them, they tiptoed around Qi to gently put it down on a corner of his workbench. Then they pushed it in a little more. And then a little more.
“So I settled on precisely 43%. No more, no less. I hope that concentration’s alright. If you’d like a different one, I would be more than happy to mix another solution for you.”
The builder’s mouth opened and closed uselessly, trying to put out words while their mind still couldn’t conjure a coherent thought.
Qi frowned. “Are you alright? You seem…ill all of a sudden.”
The builder could only let out a shaky laugh. They took a deep breath, trying to find the best way to say it. “Qi…sweetheart… I can tell you put a lot of thought into this, and it’s super sweet of you…but…”
Qi’s shoulders sagged. “Ah. I was afraid of this.”
The builder quickly shook their head. “I-it’s not like I don’t appreciate it! It’s just…um…I don’t know what I’d do with sulfuric acid…”
“I…have a book that could give you some ideas…”
They raised an eyebrow. “A book?”
“Yes, it’s a book about potential uses for sulfuric acid. Emphasis on potential.”
“…Is that where you got the idea to give some to me?”
Qi was looking anywhere but the builder. The floor, the generator, the shelves, the trash can…
“Qi?”
“…Yes.”
“…Can I see it?”
Qi nodded and pulled it from the back corner of his workbench, hesitating before handing it over to them.
The builder frowned as they skimmed through it, looking at all the weird things the authors apparently thought you could do with a liquid corrosion hazard. When they got to the last several pages, they snorted.
“Qi, the 1000th idea they have is to pour acid all over this book. I don’t think it was meant to be taken too seriously.”
“Oh,” Qi said with a blank stare. “So the authors wrote this book to…lie?”
“I think it’s meant to be humor writing, darling.”
“Well I don’t think it’s funny.”
The builder rolled their eyes with a light smile. “Wonder if anyone does.”
------------
The next day, another book found its way to Qi’s special bin. A very special bin for very special books, tucked under his bed. Not too many titles found their way there, but now the scant few volumes were joined by a new addition: 1000 Things to Do with Sulfuric Acid. It was sporting a new addition to its cover to match its new neighbors: a stripe of duct tape all around the center, to prevent it from ever being opened again.
And on it, scrawled in bold black marker, a single word: “RUBBISH.”

In a weird headspace this week. I'm thinking about a lot, mostly all about my stance on death. About how few really knew me that had interactions with me face to face. "You're always so quiet and reserved, I can't see you doing anything crazy" is always the first thing I hear whenever I say or do something that contradicts the image. Nevermind that I'm always the first to care less about so many things that others spend too much time on, holding them back in a way. I was in a lot of ways the definition of impulsive in a hazardous way that threw caution to the wind and just flew, sometimes literally.
I'm thinking about the positives and negatives that come with crossing over from ideation into action, how a potential sea/ocean deity said "No, you'll continue to exist despite your efforts, you're barely in the double digits you don't really know that yet." To come out in the middle of drowning after purposefully going very far out set on one thing, to go out and stop the misery that was so heavy like a crushing weight even then. To be struck after like an accident, I thought it was a more likely way to go than that would help so much with my limited options and not having the appropriate understanding about how stupid the idea was. I just didn't care and was tired of the pain, the fear, of hiding and escaping both literally and mentally. I was tired of being put down for the unchangeable, about what wouldn't go away, I was tired of not feeling right or like myself. That harsh period in my life gave me ptsd and c-ptsd, I still think of the terrible look in their gaze, the escalating voice shrieking and shouting, the physical pain and remaining hesitance I have with certain utensils for reasons.
I'm thinking about how my recklessness born from budding indifference from the first attempt on my life has affected me. It left me with so many marks, reminders of every time I did something like speeding down a sharp incline on a bike before flipping in the middle to get up close and personal with either concrete or stones. To cry for a moment as a kid before walking home without a sign of it and cleaning myself up bit by bit extracting anything left over like it was routine. I think about that every time my many, many scars come up with Hermes around that he loves. The talks we have about them, saying what I've always had to in the name of moving on in a way, "They show you've lived, that you still exist despite everything, your beauty comes from that instead of being free from every dark mark, the angry red line or the bright white raised line. You nearly have twenty anyone can see and you persist with a bit of pride inside. Ram-minded, stubborn to a fault but wolf-hearted, wild but thriving best with a select few and despondent when missing any of them."
I'm thinking about my main (and only) issue with death is the loss I feel upon absence from those I loved and still love despite their passing. There's an ache there where I felt full and comforted by their presence, the time that's a light, and the lessons and guidance I've had with the divine over death and loss, the pain of it all. The talks I've had and the comfort I was given from He/kate and Herm/es through dreams and meditations before I knew it was them and thought it a random occurrence or a random entity below their status by a long shot talking to me with passing assistance and parting wisdom.
I'm thinking about how I almost wish I turned sooner, the regret of not having the active, known conversations with Her/mes that I know both of us would have loved. To be there during my introspective years especially in adulthood nearly a decade ago that was wasted on the wrong partner. The ex-boyfriend that never had too deep of an interest in it and never knew what to say about my constant thoughts and the need to express a deeper understanding of the world, of life and existence. About my religious/spiritual experiences and my past that made me that way that I've unfortunately long burnt out from saying aside from the random flare of flame that stirs and makes me turn to him to talk. I just wish it had been a thing when it was more consistent when I was looking for something, for someone to talk about it with over the echoing silence like talking to a wall. My stances with life and death, loss and grief that are just me now, and the indifference they spawned in me for myself on a personal level. That I have a certain freedom that wants to live and continue on but on the same hand a lack of care if it would end suddenly outside of my hands.
The admittance that I'm strange, that I run now in a beneficial way to me in the company of deities and other entities who get it and have been there at times when I didn't recognize that they were. Interacting with me in ways that took so long to connect the dots and realize I've had others taking care of me and looking after me in times when I needed it. For someone so stoic, absent emotionally, and unphased usually, it makes me emotional. I am happy and at peace for the most part, and more than likely ready to run into the woods and never return and hang out with the chaotic three in nature and dirt divine all at a moment's notice if possible.
A certain longing for the time I know will come when I pass that we've talked about spending a lot of time together in the future. All in a way I really, really wish I could right now in a way I would with others in my life. I just want to run, to be with him and see him there in front of me and just hold his hand ig and be able to talk like I would with others important to me and hear him in the same way I would with others immediately after for a back and forth that's more coherent and consistent for flow.

Strangers (Interlude)
REINA HAD MADE A SOLEMN VOW that she wouldn’t become emotionally involved with any male student that resided at Sweetwater High School.
She was best suited for loneliness; at least, that’s what she told herself before she befriended Adrienna, however she wasn’t close enough to be considered a cast member in her close circle of friends. She was forever condemned as a casual friend, which she didn’t mind as much as she probably should’ve. There were still perks, though, like having people to spend her lunches with when before she was contented spending the hour by herself, and having study buddies on speed-dial — if that was even considered a thing anymore. She maintained awareness of trends through Adrienna, who was ultra-savvy with tech yet stringent about her retro aesthetic, including but not limited to her wardrobe of Sixties vintage pieces and her playlists that only had songs pre-dating the 2010s.
So, Adrienna was, naturally, the first to realize that Reina had what she assumed was a perfunctory crush on Spencer Jensen. Not only was this a girl issue, it was a political one. Not only had Adrienna known Spencer through their parents being employed at their school, but she knew that his family had engaged in a petty war with the Chosen over the various businesses that the cult attempted to usurp for themselves ever since its inception. Dating Spencer would be social and literal suicide, which is mostly why he remained single throughout his years at Sweetwater High. Girls fawned over him from a distance, much like you can admire the monstrous beauty of a mushroom cloud without sacrificing yourself to its deadly plumes.
“You know, I think we should go on a boy strike,” Adrienna spoke up during lunch, the two of them sitting underneath a willow and splitting a delicious egg salad sandwich that her father had lovingly prepared for her. “Minus Ace and Miles. I can’t cut them out, they’re basically my lap dogs. But everyone else.”
Reina chewed slowly, savoring every bite of the sandwich. “I think I’m ahead of the curve there, Adrie.” she said, a soft smile punctuating her sentence.
“No, but for real,” The blonde said, sipping on her Coke before placing the can aside and reaching forward so she could grasp onto Reina’s wrists. “I’ve seen how you’ve been looking at Spencer. I’m seriously concerned for your mental wellbeing.”
A blush painted Reina’s cheeks and Adrienna hollered in celebration for having caught it early. “I knew it. I knew it! But for real, Reina, you cannot like him. I’m surprised you haven’t noticed the yellow CAUTION sign that’s stuck to his back. He’s a health hazard. A railroad crossing with no barrier. A car that only has a gas pedal. He’s to be treated like radioactive waste: carefully and from a distance.”
Reina’s brows fixed inward at the detailed description of the imminent doom she would face if she ever dared strike up a conversation with Spencer. “I think I get the message.”
“I don’t think you do,” Adrienna said as she scooted up closer, cupping Reina’s face in her palms. “That whole family is one wrong move away from waging civil war with the Chosen. All because his dad decided to pick up one of their girls a millennia ago. It’s not worth the trouble.”
The brunette slid her face out of Adrienna’s grasp, thinking about how she perceived Spencer before. She first noticed him in fourth period chemistry — ironic in a nauseating sort of way — and couldn’t help but observe how he managed his table by serving as the backseat driver that let everyone else do the manual labor while he instructed them. Somehow, it was more attractive that he knew which steps to take next without referring to the textbook like his partners did. She thought about approaching him, then second guessed herself and maintained a respectable distance, which really just meant she never spoke to him at all.
“There’s no trouble, because he doesn’t know who I am,” Reina told her. “And he won’t, because... I’m not interested in boys. Or dating anyone.”
Adrienna released a relieved sigh, her shoulders slumping. “Okay. If you say so. But if I catch you drooling over him like every other girl here, I will backhand you. Equal rights.” she said, demonstrating by swishing her open hand through the air and baiting a giggle out of Reina. “There’s my girl. Look, I gotta dip early, pre-calc is like, all the way across campus. I’ll text you later.”
They exchanged a tearful parting embrace before Adrienna collected her foodstuffs and crammed it into her Cinnamoroll backpack, hurrying away from the tree toward her class. Reina slowly stood after her friend had disappeared around a corner, walking alone where she kept her eyes cast downward from everyone in passing. It wasn’t until she reentered the building that she lifted her gaze and spotted Spencer at the end of the hall, and as she began retreating, she was shoved forward by a passerby and caught herself against a row of lockers.
When she focused her sights on him again, he was smiling widely and laughing so hard that it echoed across the linoleum floors. She wondered what had amused him so much, and for a brief instance she wished she could’ve been on the receiving end of that conversation. Before she could linger too long on how nicely his hair was tussled and how, when he smiled, it was a little crooked in a way that didn’t beckon arrogance like all the other boys’ had, and how that shade of blue he wore really was his color — he spotted her and their eyes met. A beat passed, then she forced herself out of the gravity that’d developed between them in that singular moment, turning on her heel so she could chart a new route to class.

Why is this cave like this | PKMN AU - dimitri & f!byleth
Closed starter for @ashenprofessor (Pokemon AU) This cave had always been quite the little devil in itself, and Dimitri always understood why- to the point he often wondered why trainers were drawn to it at all in the first place. A sizable chunk of his calls were from trainer after trainer getting lost in the middle of the dark, endlessly harrassed by the native Onix and Bronzors who weren’t very friendly to begin with.
Wayward Cave, ah his behated.
Impossibly dark, its layout was nothing short of a labyrinth filled with dead ends that only went deeper and deeper into the mountain. Getting lost in it could range from a bit of an adrenaline-filled scare to an actual life hazard- not even because of the wild pokemon roaming the void-like halls, but because of exposure itself. Even Dimitri, an ace trainer with ranger experience, would rather avoid this cave if he could. It wasn’t even easy to get through its entrance, why are trainers so attracted to this thing anyway?!
The sole of his boots crushing the ground and pebbles below echoed through the dark endlessness- the only strong light available being that of his little Yamask, floating close by. Although the ranger had a flashlight of his own, it was a weak little thing compared to his pokemon’s Flash. He hadn’t received any rescue calls that day, but it was his duty to map out the cave and report his findings to avoid having trainers finding themselves in uncharted areas nobody knew how to get to. Yamask quietly followed, lighting up his path, while Kingler crushed whatever breakable rock stood in his way. A routine operation.
Kingler went still- the echo of a sound in the distance. “Hello?” The ranger called out, proceeding with caution. “Is an-”
It all happened fairly quickly- Yamask followed, its flash revealing an entrance to his side that he hadn’t noticed before and…a person also. Dimitri stood still, bug eyed. “Hello?” He only broke eye contact the moment he misstepped on a rock and almost fell on top of his Kingler, who rather than step aside tried to hold its trainer. “Hey are you lost?” The ranger asked almost on impulse- it was automatic, uncaring that he was being half-held up by a huge crab pokemon.

A Faulty or Damaged Steering Column's Symptoms
Tumblr media
The controlling and suspension frameworks on the present vehicles give various capabilities. They assist us with exploring different street conditions securely, and they cooperate to offer a smooth, simple to-utilize directing framework. They are, in any case, most valuable with regards to helping us in coordinating the vehicle in the ideal course. One of the most basic pieces of the system is the guiding section.
A power-helped rack and pinion guiding framework is utilized in most of present day vehicles. The guiding section associates straightforwardly to the directing haggle put at the highest point of the controlling framework. The moderate shaft and widespread joints are then associated with the directing section.
While the directing section wears out, there are a couple of caution flags that could make the proprietor aware of an expected little or critical mechanical issue with the guiding framework, requiring controlling segment fix or substitution by a car service near me garage.
The following are some warning signals that your steering column may be defective:
1.     The slant include on the directing wheel isn't working - The slant capability on a guiding wheel is quite possibly of the most valuable element, as it permits drivers to pick a point and position for better by and large effectiveness or solace. The directing wheel ought to move openly when you empower this element, yet it will at last get into place. This ensures that the guiding wheel is secure and at the right level and point while you're driving. On the off chance that the controlling wheel doesn't lock, the directing segment or one of it’s a huge number is defective. As a defective guiding section could bring about a MOT test disappointment, check MOT expiry date of your vehicle and have this issue fixed. However, don't drive the vehicle in the event that this side effect shows up, as an opened directing wheel is a possibly perilous situation. Make a meeting with a nearby guaranteed specialist to examine and fix the issue.
2.     Loud clicking or crushing sounds while turning the guiding wheel - Another normal sign of an issue with the directing section is perceptible clicking or crushing sounds. At the point when you turn the guiding wheel, squeaking, crushing, clicking, or thumping sounds are no doubt coming from the interior cog wheels or course inside the directing segment. This condition typically creates over the long haul, so you might hear it now and again. In the event that you hear this commotion each time you turn the directing wheel, have a specialist look into it at the earliest opportunity since driving a vehicle with a harmed controlling section is hazardous. Check MOT history online to see if the steering system was a reason for failure in the past and what necessary steps were taken to fix the issue.
3.     Rough controlling wheel - Power guiding parts today are designed to perform without a hitch and reliably. The issue is normally brought about by a limit inside the directing segment on the off chance that you notice the guiding wheel is unforgiving when you turn or on the other hand in the event that you feel a "pop" in the controlling wheel as you turn. Inside the guiding segment, there are various cog wheels and gaskets that permit the controlling framework to appropriately work. Since soil, dust, and other material can get inside the directing section, things can fall inside and block the smooth activity of these pinion wheels. Assuming you see this cautioning light, have a specialist take a gander at the guiding section to check whether there's anything minor that should be revised.
4.     When you work a vehicle, the guiding wheel ought to promptly get back to zero degrees or the middle when you wrap up playing out a turn. This is a wellbeing highlight that accompanied the power guiding framework. In the event that the guiding wheel doesn't get back to focus when you discharge it, it is doubtlessly because of a stop up in the controlling segment or a wrecked stuff inside the gadget. Regardless, this is an issue that should be tended to straight away before your next MOT testing service is booked and inspected by a professional qualified technician.
The smooth and successful activity of our controlling framework is basic while driving wherever. Try not to put off seeing a certified specialist in the event that you notice any of the above side effects or cautioning signals, plan an arrangement as quickly as time permits so they can test drive, analyze, and appropriately fix the issue before it declines or causes a mishap.

Ice & Pets: Debunking The Myths
Tumblr media
As temperatures drop, a frosty chill envelops the world, turning our surroundings into a winter wonderland. While humans cozy up with warm beverages and fuzzy blankets, our furry friends venture out, eager to frolic in the snow and ice. However, with the beauty of winter come concerns about the safety of pets, especially when it comes to ice and the products used to combat its perils. Let's debunk some of the most persistent myths surrounding ice, dogs, and the products used during the winter months. Is Ice Really Bad For Dogs? One of the most commonly asked questions by dog owners is, "Is ice bad for dogs?" Dogs love to play in the snow, and many even enjoy crunching on ice cubes, especially during hot summer months. But, is it safe? The Truth: In moderation, consuming ice or playing with it poses minimal risk to dogs. However, is ice bad for dogs? Whenever the question arises, caution is advised. Larger ice chunks can pose a choking hazard or damage a dog's teeth. Always supervise your pet and opt for smaller ice pieces or crushed ice to avoid potential risks. The Salt Dilemma: Is Salt Harmful To Canine Paws? Another prevalent concern as winter sets in revolves around the question, "Is salt bad for dogs?" The Truth: While salt in moderate amounts is not inherently harmful to dogs, the issue arises when considering the types of salt or ice melts used during winter. Traditional ice melts often contain chemicals that, when ingested, can lead to salt poisoning in dogs. Moreover, these salts can be abrasive, causing dryness, cracks, or burns on a dog's sensitive paw pads. After walks, it's essential to wipe down your dog's paws, ensuring no salt residue remains that they might lick off later. Safe Thaw: A Safer Alternative For Ice Melt Understanding the potential hazards of conventional ice melts, especially for pets, it's essential to consider safer alternatives. Safe Thaw stands out as a premier choice for those who prioritize both effectiveness and safety. Being chloride and toxin-free, Safe Thaw ensures that if your furry friend comes into contact with it, the risk of harmful ingestion is significantly reduced. Its non-corrosive properties guarantee that it won't harm surfaces, be it your industrial property or machinery. This is a breath of fresh air for pet owners who want to ensure their driveways and sidewalks are ice-free without jeopardizing their pet's safety. The science behind Safe Thaw is impressive. Its patented dual-effect compound, made of a modified crystalline amide core infused with a special glycol admixture and traction agents, ensures optimal melting performance. This concentrated formula not only assures maximum effectiveness from season to season but also offers long-term cost savings, as less product is required over time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x2uACuEGD4k Final Thoughts: Prioritizing Pet Safety In Icy Conditions We hope now you know the answer to your question- is ice bad for dogs. Winter brings a host of concerns for pet owners, from ensuring our dogs are warm enough during walks to safeguarding them from potential winter-related hazards. By being informed and debunking myths about ice and dogs, we can make better decisions that prioritize our pets' safety. Choosing products like Safe Thaw is a testament to our commitment to their well-being, ensuring that they can enjoy winter's beauty without the accompanying risks. So, the next time snowflakes dance from the sky, and ice begins to form, remember that with a little caution and the right products, winter can be a joyous season for both humans and their four-legged companions. How Do Cranes Work?
Tumblr media
What are the safety tips when dealing with cranes? Crane operators are required to have extensive training. Workers who prepare the weight to be moved, direct it, or act as a spotter are required to obtain further specific training in their respective duties and responsibilities. Cranes are a formidable force that must be respected by the various sectors. In addition, they have the potential to result in falling loads, tip-overs, power lines, swing radius, rigging, guiding the load, risk assessments, and pedestrian safety. Construction employees are put in potentially hazardous situations if they are required to operate with enormous cranes or in close proximity to heavy machinery. Cranes pose not just these but also a great number of additional risks.
The risk of injury from crushing is quite substantial. Cranes have various points where possible entanglement concerns arise. In addition, in order to comply with OSHA Standard 1926.1424(a)(2)(i), the company is required to provide training to each employee who will be working on how to identify the struck-by and pinch/crush hazard locations that are present on the spinning superstructure.
Tumblr media
Workers have a responsibility to be aware of the “swing radius” of the crane.
They should take care not to position themselves in a way that would put them in danger of being hit by or squished between any spinning or moving items. Workers have a responsibility to be aware of these areas and to erect caution signs and barricades wherever they see it appropriate. Workers and members of the general public alike have a responsibility to take precautions against the possibility of falling loads and crane tip-overs.
It is important for the operator to clear a safe path for the movement of the weight before they attempt to lift and move it.
Only those individuals who have been properly taught and have been granted authorization should be near the load.
Except for those who are operating a concrete hopper or bucket or hooking, unhooking, or guiding a load, OSHA Standard 1926.1425(b) says that no employee may be in the fall zone when the operator is not moving a suspended load. Exceptions to this rule include those who are guiding a load.
It will cost you a significant amount of money to hire a professional in heavy equipment to inspect your heavy equipment. However, here at Interstate Heavy Equipment, we are dedicated to ensuring the well-being of your equipment and give free inspections to do so. In addition, our staff is knowledgeable in the machinery, and we provide individualized, one-on-one assistance as well as consultation so that we can guide you through the procedure.

Siam weed is one of the world’s worst weeds, with a phenomenal growth rate and massive seed production. Plants can reach 10 metres by scrambling through adjacent vegetation. It forms impenetrable thickets to three metres tall in open sites, such as river banks and pastures. It can smother tropical fruit crops, young forestry plantations and pastures. It is also a serious environmental weed, invading native woodlands and posing a major fire hazard in the dry season.

Chromolaena odorata or siam weed is regarded as one of the most harmful weeds present on earth. Many efforts are being made for the control of this weed. But, none of them have provided any significant success. It has been utilized in the traditional medicinal systems for its curative properties for centuries. Some of the current studies have revealed its medicinal properties which have lead to an enhanced image of this plant as a medicinal herb. It showed anti-inflammatory, anti pyretic, analgesic, antimicrobial, cytotoxic and many other relevant medicinal properties in an appreciable scale.

The reaction may include redness, itching, swelling, and rash. Ingestion of the plant may also lead to gastrointestinal symptoms, such as nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. In addition, Siam weed is considered to be an invasive species and can cause ecological harm by competing with native plants for resources and disrupting local ecosystems. Thus, it is important to take caution when dealing with this plant and to avoid spreading it to new areas.chromolaena odorata siam weed can be used to heal different types of wounds because it has a medicine that when it is crushed and the water that comes out is rubbed on the wound because the water that comes out has nutrients that can heal the wound and is important that it is smooth before crushing so that no bacteria will join the wound and not cause infection.

The Top Five Types of Hand Injuries in the Workplace
There are a number of different types of hand injuries in the workplace. These injuries can range from minor cuts and bruises to more serious injuries, such as fractures, lacerations, and crush injuries. In some cases, hand injuries can even lead to amputation.
Workers in a wide variety of industries are at risk of suffering hand injuries. Some of the most common industries where hand injuries occur include construction, manufacturing, and healthcare.
This blog post will look at some of the most common types of hand injuries in the workplace. We will also discuss some of the key strategies that can be used to prevent these injuries from occurring.
Hand Injuries in The Workplace
Hand injuries are a common occurrence in the workplace. In fact, according to the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), hand injuries account for approximately 20% of all occupational injuries. While any part of the hand can be injured, the fingers are typically more vulnerable due to their small size and delicate structure.
Furthermore, certain jobs carry a higher risk for hand injuries than others. For instance, manual laborers such as construction workers or factory workers are more likely to suffer hand injuries than office employees.
The Basics:
Some of the most common hand injuries occur when our hands come into contact with sharp objects or hazardous materials. Other causes of hand injuries include:
Overexertion
Repetitive motions
Vibration from equipment
Cold weather
Preventing Hand Injuries:
You can do several things to prevent hand injuries in the workplace. These include:
Wearing gloves whenever possible
Using caution when handling sharp objects or hazardous materials
Taking breaks every hour to rest your hands
Using proper lifting techniques
Stretching your muscles regularly
Some Common Types of Hand Injuries in the Workplace
An estimated 1.8 million workers in the United States sustain hand injuries yearly. The five most common types of hand injuries in the workplace are fractures, dislocations, cuts and lacerations, nerve damage, and burns. Let’s take a closer look at each type of injury.
Fractures – A fracture is a break in one or more bones in hand. They can be caused by a fall, collision with another object, crush injury, or wrist twisting. Symptoms include pain, swelling, bruising, and stiffness. Treatment includes immobilization in a cast or splint, followed by physical therapy to restore strength and range of motion.
Dislocations – A dislocation occurs when two bones forming a joint become separated. This can happen when the hand is struck violently against an object or hyperextended (bent backward). Symptoms include pain, swelling, deformity, and difficulty moving the fingers or thumb. Treatment usually involves setting the joint back into alignment, followed by Physical Therapy to restore function. Surgery may also be necessary to repair any damage to the surrounding tissues.
Cuts and Lacerations – Cuts and lacerations are among the most common types of hand injuries seen in emergency rooms across the country. They are caused by contact with sharp objects such as knives, blades, glass, or metal. Symptoms vary depending on the size and depth of the wound but typically include pain, bleeding, swelling, and infection. Treatment generally involves cleaning and stitching up the wound under sterile conditions. Surgery may be required to ensure proper healing if there is significant muscle or bone damage.
Nerve Damage – Nerve damage can occur when there is direct trauma to one of the nerves in your hand. This can cause numbness, tingling sensation, burning pain, weakness, or paralysis. In some cases, surgical intervention may be necessary to relieve the compression of the nerve tissue. With appropriate treatment, most people make a full recovery.
Burns – Burns account for about 5% of all hand injuries treated in US hospitals yearly. They are caused primarily by contact with flames, hot liquids, electrical currents, radiant heaters, etc. The severity of the burn depends upon its depth, the extent of the area affected, the clothing burned, etc. Most first-degree burns heal without scarring, while second and third-degree burns may leave scars.

Australian research finds cost-effective way to recycle solar panels | Recycling
New research has proposed a cost-effective way to recycle solar panels to help handle an increasing volume of retired photovoltaic (PV) cells expected by the end of the decade. In a paper published by a team from the University of New South Wales last week, researchers outlined a process to collect and extract valuable materials from solar arrays to see if it was technically, economically and environmentally feasible. The process involves collecting solar arrays, stripping them of their aluminium frame, shredding the cells and using an electrostatic current to separate out valuable materials including silver and copper, reducing the panels to 2%-3% of their original weight. The reclaimed material would then be shipped directly to a refinery for purification and processing. Dr Pablo Diaz, lead author on the study, said it showed it was possible to run a low-volume facility capable of managing 1,000 tonnes of solar panels a year. This is roughly equivalent to 50,000 panels a year, or about 4,100 panels a month. “This is something someone can pick up elsewhere, it doesn’t use any chemicals, it doesn’t emit any pollution or hazardous pollution. It produces dust from crushing the panels, but you have dust collectors there,” Diaz said. Currently Australia has very little capacity to process and recycle solar panels when they reach the end of their life span. This is considered an increasingly pressing problem as the high uptake of rooftop solar and proposals for large-scale solar farms means a growing number of panels will reach the end of their lifespan. A 2016 report by the International Renewable Energy Agency (Irena) found large-scale and early adopters of PV solar could expect the largest volumes of waste from old systems. Australia was projected to generate 145,000 tonnes a year of PV solar waste by 2030, with the US expecting 1m tonnes a year and China 1.5m tonnes. Diaz said smaller-scale facilities were important as they could process material closer to their source before sending it on, reducing emissions from transport. “You could do this in a suburb in South Australia, concentrate the valuable material and then send it directly to the refiners who do extracting and purifying the metals,” he said. He has also since moved to put the research into practice via a start-up company, Solar Cycle, which is building a facility in Texas in the US. It is expected to be operational by November. Prof Peter Majewski, from the Future Industries Institute at the University of South Australia, who was not involved in the research, said it made “absolute sense” but cautioned against a one-size-fits-all approach. “It’s necessary to develop a robust recycling technology and industry in that space because we’re just going to face a huge amount of solar panels coming in,”Majewski said. “It is worthwhile to look at all different scenarios at the moment – we need to develop various ways of recycling.” Majewski said that though there was a need to think about how to process end-of-life solar panels, it was a “solvable problem” that could be fixed with a stewardship scheme that made clear who was responsible and rules for disposing of them. “With solar panels and wind, waste is often highlighted as this problem in a way it’s not with other discussions,” Majewski said. “Many technologies are producing waste. We can manage it. It’s a question of legislation and technology.” Source link Originally published at Melbourne News Vine

Special Edition – National Golf Month
Had to do a second newsletter for Golf Month, I just had to! This time, short and sweet with a fun contest and awesome Golf Up North Schwag
First a fun fact
National Golf month was founded in 1993 by the PGA for the purpose of promoting golf as a family-friendly and inclusive sport.
We think every day of every month is a reason to golf, but this is official, so you have to golf, a lot!
If you haven’t already, grab your clubs, a few friends, and head to the course and celebrate National Golf Month.
Celebrate National Golf Month!
Twenty of our favorite ways to celebrate National Golf Month or any month for that matter.
Introduce someone new to the sport and take the time to show them what they need to know to get started. Show them the way around the fairways and hazards, picking the right club or addressing the tee. Every new golfer needs someone to guide them along the way.
Take a golf trip – Go play a course or several you haven’t played before with a group of friends.
Many courses offers special events for the entire family to enjoy.
Play as many rounds as you can in the month of August – make it a competition with a friend to see who plays the most.
Hit the driving range – We all can use some practice
Take a golf lesson – You never know what you might learn
Play for something – put something on the line – drinks at the 19th hole, closest to pin. Make it interesting.
Walk, don’t ride. If you normally take a cart, walk at least 9 hoes.
Maintain your equipment – Deep in the season and your clubs could probably use a good cleaning
Complete a par-3 course – Improve your short game
Create your own backyard green – Then you can practice chipping and putting any time!
Play with your kids or grandkids – Enjoy time with them while playing a game you love.
If you haven’t before, book the first tee time – it is fun to be the very first one on the course
Play 36 – Start early, have lunch between rounds and then brag about the day your played 36 holes. Or go really nuts and play 72 holes in a weekend.
Play in a charity tournament – You are going to spend the money anyway, have it help a good cause.
Splurge on a course you typically wouldn’t play because of the cost.
Treat yourself to some new gear
Instead of your safety club, try a club you always try to avoid.
Change up your drive and see what happens. Normally wild off the tee? Slow it down and think through your swing. Take numerous practice swings and drive with a methodical approach? Go nuts and throw caution to the wind and just swing! You might just crush it.
Create a golf course bucket list. Add courses that realistically you can play and then have a fantasy section for courses like Pebble Beach, Pinehurst and St. Andrew’s.
