some note tidbits

- deadcen knows the radcen greg brothers (and even worked with them. sort of. the only one who knows of their whole brother deal)

- the only centrist who is able to gather / meet up with the extremists. esp multiple present & all at once (addendum: that is an incredibly difficult task to achieve in our hc of the centricide universe)

- the only centrist who is able to communicate to said extremists and prevent things from happening (i.e the rap) and is effective due to always being in the dead center all while coming out unscathed (even if deadcen is a little bullied after)

- very happy. very chill. listens to mainstream music. an intermediary (literally)

- the dinkleberg post ruined my life (something along the lines of " the centrist from the rap sorta comes around to water their gardens but if anything mildly inconveniences the extremists they shake their fists and go "dead centrist...!!")

- while counted as strange for being able to miraculously hang out and NOT die via the extremists hands, deadcen is very beloved and well respected ("WHERE IS DEAD CENTRIST!!" "WHERES DEAD CENTRIST" "HE'S DEAd????")

VN Update

Ok, here's a more in-depth look at the visual novel (still a WIP) since the last post was too short. Bunch of dev stuff + in-progress screenshots below the cut.

I've got the general story + scenes already mapped out but writing and coding everything might take a while (aiming for a ~10k word script?, currently have 2.5k). Hoping to have something playable by Q2 2024 (This originally said March lol).

a: (what no friends does to mf) I thought It'd be fun to work on! I got into centricide around mid-2020 and while I thought I left it behind.. idk my obsession with it is back now I guess. (real answer: authunity. I'm not even joking those two are my only reason for doing any of this.) also I just genuinely like visual novels as a medium (massive weeb).

in their introduction video, blueman expressed that the only drug allowed in his state would be alcohol but is never seen drinking, while commie expressed that no drug will be needed in his state but is seen to drink. what's up with that, d'you think?

There's actually a lot of interesting historical subtext I can see in this!

TL;DR: Commie is an alcoholic and N*zi is confused.

Alcohol is a drug and drugs are really useful for state control. Brave New World had soma, and Russia had vodka, which was cheaply made and real accessible. Originally peasants made this, but then the Tsar monopolized it for 400 years. Thus there was state-sanctioned alcoholism for the peasants, who in their serfdom, turned to alcohol for escape. It lines the state's pockets, and keeps the workers from revolting. The original Leninist communist movement was a prohibitionist one, and they did make reforms. Until Stalin came along, put the factories in control of the state, named it "the People's Vodka," and started to sell it. Russia is still healing from centuries of alcoholism. This information is basically summarized from Kraut, a YouTuber, who made a really great video about "How Vodka ruined Russia."

My headcanon is that because of his history, Commie is genetically predisposed to alcoholism. Also due to the brutality of the 20th century and the stuff Communist states have gone through, my headcanon is also that Commie was a victim of child abuse. As such, he is seen using alcohol to escape his problems (as shown in Centricide, when he forlornly looks upon a photo of the Extremists while drinking.) Commie does want to break out of his alcoholism, so is idealistic about the future. But realistically, would a state give up control of their people through drugs? Would a state give up the very profitable business of selling to addicts?

Authright is a real reader of Nietzsche, who famously said, "Nowhere else have alcohol and Christianity – the two great European narcotics – been abused with greater depravity." A lot of N*zi ideology is built on a very anti-semitic view of Nietzsche's philosophy. Nietzsche himself was not anti-semitic (in fact, he broke off with Richard Wagner, who he viewed as a father-figure at the time, precisely because he wanted to y'know, still have Jewish friends). However, Nietzsche's sister was very anti-semitic and published/edited most of his writings after his death. N*zis latched onto this and the whole ubermensch idea. Nietzsche recognized early on that alcohol is a dulling agent and makes people less engaged with the world, which to him is not ubermensch behaviour. N*zi believes this.

However, what N*zi believes in more is exceptionalism. That is, people in power are allowed to do whatever they want in the interest of the state. This makes N*zism as an ideology is inherently incoherent. It allows for double-standards and the incomprehensible racial ideology. N*zis were actually dumbfounded when faced with people of colour with state privileges, such as officials with Jewish ancestry. To further their political goals, the right would also take advantage of marginalized groups who have the same beliefs against their own interests (Homonationalism). As soon as these political goals are achieved, however, Homonationalism will be dropped just as fast as H*tler dropped Ernst Rohm.

Basically, Authright will do drugs if a Daddy/Mommy/Xaddy tells him to. Commie is an alcoholic, and the state says alcohol is okay. Absolute obedience to a hierarchy is more important to the Authoritarians than the moral implications or real societal effects of drugs.

i’ve talked about my c*ntricide s/i before but i wanna word vomit about quem a bit more :3 qui’s “anarcho-accelerationism” a form of anarchy that focuses on the progress of ALL anarchist ideologies and believes all forms of anarchy are compatible with each other (so an ancap community could work within an ancom society etc etc — basically like anti-centrism but it’s anti-statism)

quis madly in love with a few c*ntricide characters but i’m fixated on anti-centrism rn (i’ve basically made him an oc since he’s not super developed as a character in centricide, he’s just the leader of the anti-centrist movement) and i’m brainstorming how they meet… i feel like an-accelerationism is kind of a fan of anti-centrism since quis a “wacky” ideology and therefore kind of cast to the side by the other extremist ideologies. this is like word salad but basically. an-acc meets anti-centrism and nearly faints. qui is lovestruck, head over HEELS…

3) did you know realicide is this fandom based off of centricide where they personified political ideologies, and the four extremists team up to kill all the centrists, and APPARENTLY someone liked that enough to make realicide where four anti-realists team up to kill the realists. these four characters are ingsoc aka literally 1984, darwinism aka murder is good aka “hygiene in action” aka “i don’t know how to feel about this because we should burn down all pharmacies for assisting the weak but also if you aren’t on at least 5 stimulants what are you even doing”, egoism aka “objective truth is a spook” aka “if ceasing a life pleases your ego there’s no reason not to cease it yourself”, and communalism aka the only good one, and these fucks have been haunting me for the past week n there’s a bunch of really odd fanfiction about it. UNLIKE CENTRICIDE NONE OF IT’S GOOD. Who pisses you off the most out of the centrists?

Working with each of the other centrists has been... trying. They each have their critical flaws which weakened them in their battles during the Centricide, but I’d say the most irritating member of my team has to be Moderate Lee. They were never fully dedicated to the cause, always trying to compromise with the extremists.

I must say though, during the time he was with us, Nazbol was quite the issue as well. He tended to start up arguments with anti-radical, and he also left empty mountain dew cans all over the place.

Okay, I know the Realicide canon not quite canon says otherwise, but what if instead of Ingsoc having gained his powers from a fight with Horseshoe Centrist and Anti-Radical...what if Horsie and Anti-Rad had both been INGSOC vessels at one point? And they both have trauma from it <//3

Anti-Radical tells a bullshit story about how his eye got cut out during the civil rights movement to hide the fact that it used to have been the glowy eye, Horseshoe wears makeup to cover their own scar and their mind is permanently stuck in doublethinky mode. They're both scared of being accused of being traitors if Radical Centrist finds out so they keep it secret from him though. Ah, not a very coherent post but yeah.
