She is quite bold and flamboyant. She uses oshiroi on her skin with rouge, with her hair styled elaborately with a lot of pins and accessories. Usually has a fan with her or a kiseru on her hand.

MANEKI

She usually uses a hakama with some frills but she would have to wear a kurotomesode during formal events. Hakama is much easier to run and jump in. But she also loves frilly and cute things. Maneki is quite an active woman but she is forced to behave by your father due to the fact that she is pregnant.

Ayakumo= 綾蜘蛛 which means silk spider; Aya(綾) for silk and Kumo( 蜘蛛 ) for spider.

Maneki= 招き which means to invite/beckon. I named her after the lucky beckoning cat; Maneki-neko.

Fubuki= 吹雪 which means to blow and snow. Doesn’t that remind you of a snow storm?

Ayakumo doesn’t have a family name but when Maneki or Fubuki get married to MC’s dad they become a Furihara. Fubuki was part of the Yukibana clan before marrying into her husband’s family.

She is present in MC’s life but she is not that involved but she is there when they need her. She lives separately but MC does visit her. It’s not public knowledge that Ayakumo is MC’s birth mother. Ayakumo does love and is fond of MC in her own way, but she isn’t motherly-kind of woman but she is neglectful, but you can trust her not to backstab you in the back and she do you favors without expecting anything back because you are her blood. She does like to tease them time to time, that’s how she shows her affection.

They are not married and there is nothing romantic between them, and if she is your mother than your father isn’t married to anyone . Yuki onna! mom is married to your father and has no other wives. And it is the same with the Nekomata! mom. If you choose Oni, Kitsune, Tengu, or a Uwabami as your species, you have a choice to pick who is your mom.
