"Benevolent Narrator" is a much nicer niche to fall into. It's comfortable. A lot more truthful than "murder child", too.

Here’s the thing — I don’t like humans at all. Their inherent badness just fills me with unease and anger. And it’s hard for me to get around out here, surrounded by humans, knowing it would take so little for one to lash out in fear or rage and kill someone I love. I saw what happened to my brother. Anyways. Today I found myself caught walking behind a human mother and her kid. It irritated me at first, I have nothing against human children and I do think they’re deserving of protection, but I cannot shake the bad feeling adults give me. I listened to them talk for a bit, watched as the mother encouraged and coddled her son, rubbed his head and gave him a pep talk about school. And all of a sudden, I could feel this bittersweet feeling of longing start to creep in. It made me miss my mom. I don’t think I’ll ever fully like or even trust humans on account of how they treat monsters, (even in a world almost COMPLETELY bereft of them!) but I’m at least glad that some of them are good to their children. All the while I’m alone and terrified above ground. I wish I could go home. I could use a good snuggling.
