90210: Dixon Wilson - Type 9w1
Dixon is creative, passionate and withdrawn. He tries a lot of different things until he finds his true passion being a musician.
At his best, Dixon is caring and accepting of the people he loves. He is always there for Annie and Silver when they need him like in s5.
At his worst, Dixon becomes avoidant and cold. When his relationship with Silver starts to spiral out of control, he begins to try and ignore her and ice her out. Later when he is trying to be a successful musician and feels like he can’t finish all the work he needs, instead of addressing the problem he starts to take drugs to push himself to do more work.
Dixon was adopted by the Wilsons and has a strong relationship with Annie and his mother. At times, it seems like he has a somewhat strained relationship with Harry as he feels like he doesn’t fit In with Harry’s idea of what his son should be. Dixon tries to impress Harry with lacrosse and other things he knows he is interested in but still feels a bit like an outsider. When Harry is so excited to meet his biological son, the feeling of not being good enough for Harry intensifies in Dixon and he becomes very insecure and jealous.
Dixon doesn’t always address his feelings and emotions and often suppresses them. This is problematic as he is also uncomfortable asking others for help or reaching out when he needs them. This happens throughout the series starting when he damages Harry’s car, his gambling problem, his involvement with Sasha and later his drug use.
Dixon tries many different hobbies throughout the series. He was part of the lacrosse team in the early seasons and seemed to be really competitive and concerned with being recognised for his efforts on the team. In season 2, he is very focused on the surf team and again puts a large emphasis on his participation on the team and showing his skills. However, as the series progresses he begins to take a large interest in music and being a DJ which he truly is passionate about and chooses to continue.
Dixon has several relationships throughout the series and seems to change his opinions and interests to suit his partner. When he is with Sasha, he pretends to be a much older music mogul and continues to try to keep up a facade as he believes that’s what Sasha wants. When he is with Ivy he acts very differently and leans more into his interests in surfing and is much more relaxed in the relationship. With Adrianna, he is more focussed on his music career and their shared interests in this area.
Dixon has a wing 1 as he is very repressed in his feelings and emotions.
Tri-type: 9w1 - 4w3 - 7w8
Some quotes to describe Dixon’s motivations:
“You reach deeper until you can find the strength. That's all life is, one big fight after another.”
“I'm a dude and I'm your brother. I have no opinion.”
“No good deed goes unpunished.”
“I woke up one morning surrounded by white people I was supposed to bond with. Like that.”
“You think just because you cheated on me that you'll be able to walk out of my new company? You signed a contract that gives me full control of your music. I own you.”
“You gotta stop loving me so much, seriously we gotta get you a puppy or something.”

90210 for the tv series meme !!
my all-time ultimate fave character: annie wilson. a character I didn’t used to like but now do: erin silver. ashley saved her for me. a character I used to like but now don’t: jen clark. a character I’m indifferent about: dixon wilson. a character who deserved better: ivy sullivan, ethan ward, and erin silver. a ship I’ve never been able to get into: liam x silver. a ship I’ve never been able to get over: LANNIE. shocking, i know. a cute, low-key ship: i really still think annie x austin could have been good together. an unpopular ship but I still enjoyed it: naomi x austin. a ship that was totally wrong and never should have happened: NILVER!! my favourite storyline/moment: i love the ending scene so much. but i love annie’s book arc as whole. and naomi’s whole development arc. a storyline that never should have been written: the whole adrianna stealing music storyline and the swapping pills stuff, god. ALSO SILVER HAVING CANCER IN THE FINALE WTH my first thoughts on the show: i loved it from the very first minute. my thoughts now: i wish we would have gotten a sixth season. but i can see now just how problematic it was and i am not sure i would be so into it if i started watching now. but it is still an important show to me and i love it.

Adrianna Hicks
Were you always a performer, even as a child?
I always loved to sing, even as a child. I sang in church, and anywhere else they would allow me to. In addition, Is loved to dance, so performing was in my blood.
What was your first professional/paid gig?
In Chatham NY I did Hairspray in the Mac-Haydn Theatre in the round. It was the summer of my sophomore year in college.
What was your big break?
I think there have been a few: Singing back up for Michael Michael Bublé; right after college I went to Germany to work in musical theater for 3 ½ years; and then of course my first role on Broadway.
When did you know performing would be your career?
Honestly, I knew that at a very young age; probably around 6 years old. It’s what I was born to do!
WATCH:
Other than this role, what was your favorite role?
I loved playing Sara in Ragtime since it’s another story that creates dialogue amongst the races. The show was at the Lyric Theater, which was a 2000 seat theater in Oklahoma City. This show matured me in such a wonderful way.
What is your fantasy role?
I would love to play Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd, or the Witch or the Baker’s wife in Into the Woods.
What should the South Florida audiences expect from this production of The Color Purple?
Spiritual resurrection power. The experience we have every night with every audience is amazing. The story has a lot of power that I promise everyone will love! Get revived with The Color Purple.

You're telling me Dixon and Adrianna didn't end up together?
They were the best thing about season 4, and the only reason I watched it. Then I kinda forgot about the show. But Navid and Adrianna, seriously?
Well, I'm going to pretend I never watched the series finale, and just imagine Dixon and Adrianna being a badass collaborative duo taking over the music world.
