Reading your tags on my ask and you’re right! I think he’d still be scared, even more so in this AU because he can hear/understand kyurem! Even when it’s all the way up in the sky on the Plasma Frigate Drayton can still hear kyurem and he knows it’s a legendary and he should be scared

He’s terrified of what happened to opelucid city, well it’s cold just like the ice lands it’s not natural at all, the ice to jagged and sharp there’s no fluffy snow to jump around in just the bitter cold and sharp ice no comfort at all! His new home is in ruins….

Well Drayton is scared, absolutely terrified even, he knows he can help! He’s not bothered by the cold at all even in his human form! So he helps the civilians of opelucid as a zoura! The civilians know about the strangely coloured zoura that seems to live in opelucid and are greatly thankful for it helping out during the freeze over, not knowing that the zoura is Drayton, with Drayton’s help I believe in this AU the death count of humans and Pokemon are a lot lower then in canon, a lot less people and Pokemon froze to death because Drayton can stand the cold!

In a previous ask in the tags you mentioned that iris would end up catching kyurem and in canon i think Drayton would eventually warm up to it! Not in this AU tho! Drayton can’t help but be intimidated by it even once it’s in iris’s care, he knows it won’t hurt him and it was all team plasma fault really but being around such a big Pokemon, a legendary at that! Makes Drayton’s Pokemon instincts scream at him to either obey it because it’s so powerful or run away in fear because it’s so powerful, Drayton also hates it because it makes his instincts flare up and reminds him that he’s not really a human he’s just a Pokemon playing human

When iris first said she caught kyurem and brought it out Drayton attacked her out of fear (he can still use pkmn attacks in human form just not as powerful as he’s still keeping up the illusion of the human form) as his instincts were going haywire telling him to runaway and he did, he was missing for days until Crispin called iris saying that Drayton just showed up at his doorstep in Virbank City (not sure if Crispin knows he’s a zoura yet or not or if the reveal happens here, gotta flesh out the reveal more lol) Drayton honestly has no fucking clue how he ended up from opelucid to Virbank he kinda just mentally blacked out when he ran away but Crispin comforts him none the less!~Drayton angst anon💛

Imagine along w the fear that Kyurem is there w her, Drayton also felt really guilty over hurting his sister too, and he didn't mean it ofc he didn't, he was just really scared that he suddenly attacked her

But also cdndndk pls, the reveal chmdndmd Crispin hearing scratches on his door and sees this odd looking Zorua, and the Zorua was like, shivering y'know, eyes wide and scared as it scurried inside, hiding behind the couch. And that made Crispin confused as fuck, like yeah he heard stuff abt the white Zorua in Opelucid, but he never thought he'd actually see the exact Zorua here inside his home, how did it even get here?? Nevertheless, the poor thing was scared, it looks like it's abt to cry too, so Crispin was helping it warm up to him and even calm it down

Imagine once he brings the Zorua to his room, it transforms to Drayton, fucking imagine how he'd react lmfao like nursing this Zorua back to health only for it to transform into one of your friends, and he starts crying saying he accidentally hurt his sister and how fucking terrifying Kyurem actually is up close, like, Crispin needed a minute to process everything cause holy shit one of his friends is actually a pokemon—

Then Iris is searching every corner of Unova to look for Drayton. Look, while he attacked her, she knows he was just scared, and her brother was still young y'know, and ofc he wasn't exactly human, who knows what people would do to him if they found out, and she fears what'd happen if the Shadow Triad or Ghetsis finds out abt what Drayton really is, so imagine her relief when one of Drayton's friends suddenly called her saying he's there at Virbank which made her confused as fuck too cause how the hell did he get there from Opelucid???

But yeah, Iris calling out her Hydreigon flying over to Virbank, found Crispin w Drayton w him but like,, he's a Zorua, being held by Crispin. Crispin giving her a sheepish look, saying Drayton already explained things to him. But also cbmdnd imagine how cute it'd be, Drayton just jumping from Crispin's arms to Iris', nuzzling her close, he missed her and ofc he's glad she isn't mad at him for attacking her. And she's there telling him that Kyurem didn't mean to scare him too, and Drayton knows that now, he can hear Kyurem's voice from within the Master Ball

Hc that Kieran actually has a lot of nightmares of being perceived the way he was during his time as champion. He's scared of people seeing him as nothing but a rude and cruel person, especially people he loves.

His nightmares of it usually involve people he's close to, like the E4, Carmine and ofc Juliana. And even after he wakes up it's hard to go to sleep, and Julie has to comfort him for a while.

I'm not blind anon. But! I am deaf anon. Deaf anon is in angst mood right now. Twins, Chainsaw Bois + maybe Jason? With a deaf s/o who has no idea that there's trespassers right now and they're out walking, and this victim kinda lost their mind and has a weapon and -listen its gonna be a happy end- they stabbed the s/o in attempt to get away. I watched something like this in an anime and the love they realized/confessed after the near death experience was just so intense and heartwarming.

★ You’re just chilling on the porch, drinking lemonade and reading a book, enjoying the breeze on your skin. It’s a normal day for you.

★ You have no idea what was going on in the house. Bo keeps you out of it, and although you know about their killing you’ve never seen it happen. 

★ You don’t hear the screaming, or Bo’s swearing, or Vincent’s yelps of surprise. You don’t hear the studio door burst open or the footsteps in the hall. You only notice something’s wrong when the front door slams open and a tall figure fills the doorway.

★ You stare at him, eyes dipping down to the knife - one of Vincent’s knives - clasped in his hands. You scream, lemonade spilling across the porch as you lurch to your feet.

★ The would-be victim is stunned - but then they run at you with a shallow scream, knife brandished. Together the two of you tumble from the porch, landing in a heap in the grass.

★ They’re shouting but you can’t make out the words. You’re shouting for Bo, but you don’t know if he can hear or even understand.

★ You don’t feel the knife sink into your skin, but you see the blood pooling on the earth. The pain hits when the victim wrenches the knife from your flesh, and its as if you’re on fire.

★ You see Bo above you, but you’re vision is already blurring and the pain is too much. Vaguely aware of the victim being pulled away from you, you reach out to Bo. He cups a hand to your cheek - it’s bloody, your blood - while Vincent wrestles the victim inside.

★ You black out. Hours later you wake up in bed, bandaged and hurting, but alive. Bo hasn’t left your side the entire time. He kisses you, signing soft apologies so unlike him, and you realise he’s crying.

★ You assure him you’re all right, but you won’t be up and about for a while. In a rare show of affection Bo curls up beside you, and you fall asleep together.

Bubba

★ You don’t get the chance to leave Drayton’s watchful eye often, so you appreciate the chance to take a walk. The sun is warm, you’re wearing you’re favourite jacket, and you’re enjoying the peace.

★ Until you see someone in the distance. They’re running toward you, and even from here you can see their torn up clothes. The fuck? Time to take care of dinner, you suppose.

★ The person begs for your help, unaware you’re part of the family. Of course, you don’t reply, but you can read their lips. Instead of helping you unlatch a switchblade from your keyring, and lunge.

★ They’re faster, and stronger - and oh shit, where did that knife come from? Panic erupts as they knock you to the ground, screaming words you can’t hear, and your own pitifully small knife skids off into the forest.

★ White-hot pain leaves you momentarily blinded - and when you come to, there’s blood streaked across your jeans. He stabs you again - the thigh, the hips, shoulder, attacking wildly and without precision.

★ You’re gonna black out, that much you know.

★ When you see Bubba running for you, you start to cry. It’s too late you think he’s going to kill me.

★ But Bubba tears the man away from you throwing him into a tree - and then he’s by your side, babbling and crying and petting your hair. When he lifts you up the pain is unbearable, and you’re aware of Nubbins hovering by your side, but you can’t concentrate.

★ Being patched up by Drayton’s rough hands is the worst experience of your life. Every inch of you hurts, you can barely think, and you’re sure you’re going to die any minute. Even with enough drugs in your system - pilfered from previous victims - it’s agony.

★ At least you fall asleep in Bubba’s careful arms, a soft hand stroking your hair. When you wake up tomorrow it’s going to be hell, but right now, at least, you’re okay.

Jason

★ Bare feet dipped in the cool water, lying on your back, your day is off to a relaxing start. You could it there forever, honestly.

★ Except there’s this uncomfortable feeling you’re not alone. There’s nothing for miles, so you’re probably paranoid, but the feeling remains.

★ You don’t hear the woman crashing through the trees - but you do see her, wielding a machete the size of her forearm - and with a jolt of panic you realise you’re hunch was right.

★ On your feet in a flash, you back away. But she sees you, and the look in her eyes is terrifying. She’ll stop at anything to escape - and that includes hurting you if she has to.

★ You try to run but your bare feet stumble, and when you throw out an arm to steady yourself, she grabs for you. The machete slices through your forearm and the pain leaves you reeling.

★ You see Jason, following the woman’s footsteps, but there’s no time to catch his attention because the woman keeps coming. The knife slashes through your shoulder, missing your neck by mere inches, and you collapse.

★ You black out three or four times, each time waking to something new. First, Jason kneeling by your side. Then the brutal sight of Jason ripping the woman’s head from her body. Then you wake in his arms, tears leaking from behind his mask.

★ When you wake up properly you’re swaddled in blankets, somehow still freezing, and the fire is blazing in the living room. Jason sits beside you, lifting the mask to place a kiss to your lips.

★ You know he’s trying to apologise, but you’re too weak to speak or sign. You settle for placing a hand over his, trying to smile. You’ll be fine and you know it, but convincing Jason might be trickier.

Ya know I haven’t really talked about Drayton n Kieran yet so here’s some canon hc stuff!

Okay so I believe in the French translation it’s stated that Kieran is 14….which I don’t believe lol with how shy he is in the teal mask and then crying over not getting ogerpon in the teal mask as well it just doesn’t fit right w/ him being 14 it seems in line of someone who’s 10 or 9 really + Drayton says he misses the old shy Kieran who likes to battle for fun so we can assume that Kieran was in the league club even before his desire to get stronger and tbh if a 14 yr old was around ppl like the E4 I doubt they’d be as shy as Kieran was in the teal mask, being around those 4 would give anyone a confidence, boost, so yeah Kieran is probably like 10 or maybe even 9 but def no older then that, anyways enough of my rambling n to the actual hcs lmao

Once Kieran is back in the club after mochi mayhem, he’s often seen curled up against Drayton snoozing on the clubs couch together as all of his intense training messed up Kieran’s sleep the boy is often really tired

Drayton is actually really good at comforting/calming down a crying Kieran weather it be from a legitimate reason like the trauma from terapagos, when he’s tired that he can’t help but cry or just him crying from not getting his way with something, Drayton is the second best at calming Kieran down (the first being carmine of course)

On the topic of terapagos, Kieran often goes to Drayton about his issues with the legendary bc Drayton knows what it’s like to be impacted by a legendary and Kieran doesn’t wanna bother his sister more with his trauma cause like yeah terapagos was gonna kill him, that energy beam was going straight for Kieran, he’d be dead if protagonist didn’t step in, so he talks to drayton about his trauma n drayton helps the best he can

Drayton eventually drops the “Ex-champion” nickname teasing as he sees it really upsets Kieran n they just started being friends again! He doesn’t wanna lose Kieran again!

They fly together across the terrarium on their dragonite’s :) often having fun lil races 

Drayton joked about carrying Kieran when we beat him during the champion fight but he actually does give Kieran piggyback rides when he wants! He enjoys carrying Kieran a lot!

Drayton never got to really face off Kyurem like Iris, only ever saw him after Iris finally got him from Ghetsis' control, a much tamer Kyurem than the one still being controlled by Plasma. He can't imagine how it must've been for Kieran too, being face to face w Terapagos, almost dying bc of it. Nearly died bros tho real lmfao

Out of all four of em, she's the closest to ever beat UCN too. And Drayton, being Drayton, was all "well, my sis beat ultimate custom night, so by extension I beat it too"

It would be cute tho if Crispin got Amarys hooked w the lore hahah like him talking abt fnaf and telling her the story so far while she's playing, and ofc she's listening to ever word, even adding her own thoughts. They give off vibes that they'd actually try to decipher a lot of the codes and puzzles in the games, like really going above and beyond to figure out every hidden meaning hahah

I think Amarys would also read the books, Lacey's surprised there are actually books abt it, Drayton didn't bother reading them ofc, Crispin's attention span isn't made for it so he just relies on Amarys for more info abt the lore regarding the stuff within the books and connecting them to the mainline games

And bet when the movie was out Crispin got so fucking excited he invited the E4 and the Kitakami sibs to watch it with him, like he really made a lotta snacks and I know for a fact and it's canon in my heart he screamed when the song at the credits played I just know it hahaha

Been doing some thinking and I don’t think the reveal to Crispin would happen during the kyurem incident too much is already going on

It just happens on a regular day when Crispin drops by Opelucid city for a visit! The two boys are chilling in Drayton’s room when they end up falling asleep together (platonic sleeping together my beloved) and Crispin wakes up first and sees a lil white zoura sleeping next to him and he’s hella confused until Drayton wakes up startled and falls out of bed and transforms back into his human form and panics he doesn’t realize that it was Crispin who found out he’s just panicking because he’s been found out in his panic he transforms back into zoura and cowers away from Crispin

Now Crispin is HELLA confused and concerned! One of his best friends is apparently a pokemon??? And he’s never seen Drayton so scared besides the kyurem incident, Crispin being the not sharpest tool in the shed kinda just reaches down to pet/comfort Drayton and promptly gets bitten by Drayton, yeah not his brightest idea….Crispin had to leave Drayton’s room to get his hand bandaged and he makes sure to close the door so Drayton doesn’t go off and hide somewhere else in the house

Well in the search for the first aid kit Crispin passes the kitchen and realizes that he could make Drayton one of his favourite dishes to hopefully calm him down so once he’s all bandaged up he gets to work in the kitchen making one of Drayton’s favourite dishes and realizes it’s something that ghost/or normal types like, yeah that probably should’ve been a hint about his friend….once he’s done he returns to Drayton’s room and notices Drayton hiding under his bed so he leaves the food near the bed and Crispin goes to sit on the opposite side of the room to give Drayton space as he tries to look up what zoura Drayton is because he sure as hell doesn’t look like a unovaian one but he couldn’t really find much

Drayton eventually comes out of his hiding place once he smells the food and realizes it’s one of his favourite dishes and his head finally clears of panic once he’s finished eating and he shifts back to his human form, he notices Crispin and realizes he bit his best friend and promptly starts to cry which sends Crispin for a loop once he hears Drayton crying because he’s never actually seen him cry, yeah he’s seen his friend close to tears before but never actually sobbing like he is now so he rushes to comfort him, thankfully he’s not attacked since Drayton is in a clearer headspace

Crispin manages to move them back to the bed where Drayton ends up crying himself to sleep against Crispin as he’s exhausted from the panic attack and the crying and Crispin just holds him gently as he sleeps curled up against his best friend, eventually iris comes home and finds the two in Drayton’s room where Crispin quietly asks about Drayton and explains what went down well iris was away and how he found out Drayton was a Pokemon, iris looks at her lil bro and ends up explaining everything to Crispin

Also the bite mark eventually scars over and Drayton hates looking at it >:) ~Drayton angst anon💛

Aughgh Dray accidentally biting Crispin, not being able to look at him much bc he scarred his hand. But also y'know smth dope if Crispin would sometimes hold Drayton's hand w his scarred one, going on how it's okay now, he doesn't have to feel guilty over smth he didn't mean to do. Sometimes Drayton would run his thumb over the scars, and Crispin would just smile at him telling him they finally healed, and he shouldn't feel bad anymore

Okay I need to share this lil AU I made before I just implode

Drayton is a hisuian zorua! He got isekai’d from hisui when Ingo/PLA protag managed to find a way back to present time! He landed in Unova along w/ Ingo but Drayton landed near opelucid city and was found by his soon to be parents! He was injured when they found him and he certainly didn’t trust them as ppl in hisui never treated him well (his zoroark parents were killed :( ) so they had a bit of trouble nursing him back to health until Drayden made a visit bc his son made a phone call about a weird zoura that was injured

Once Drayton saw Drayden he was literally just pikachu surprised face with stary eyes bc he thought Dreyden looked so cool!!!! So he begrudgingly allows his parents to nurse him back to health but he also sticks to Drayden like glue so he was nicknamed Drayton :)

Once he’s healed up he started causing mischief like zoura tend to do! Although he’s grown to like his parents along side Drayden now! One day he shifted to look like a human child similar to Drayden and Drayden’s son just to cause a bit of mischief and eventually he just starts spending a lot of time in his human form as he finds out being a human is fun!!! Like really fun!! Eventually one day his parents kinda just sit him down and ask him if he would like to be a human bc they notice he stays in that form a lot and become their son (they cannot have biological kids bc fertility issues so I imagine Iris is also adopted!) so he becomes their son and the nickname Drayton becomes his official name!!! Although he still shifts back to a zoura sometimes at home or in private!

I think iris was away training or something when Drayton first arrived and her parents just called her saying they adopted another kid but once she comes back home she’s told the full truth about her new baby bro and let me tell you, THEY HIT IT OFF INSTANTLY!!!!! Vibing together as dragon sibs!!!

Eventually Drayton becomes a trainer which is a little weird at first but all of his pkmn joined him willingly as they wanted to get stronger! Plus having a trainer who’s a Pokemon makes it easier for him to understand their needs and wants! He also enrolls into blueberry Academy for the fun of it as he wants to learn a lot about being human! He absolutely THRIVES in the polar biome as it reminds him of Alabaster Icelands!

No one but his family know he’s a zoura so making friends is a little challenging at first bc his first friend knew he was a zoura and now he’s keeping that part of himself hidden but eventually he meets the rest of the E4 and they all click quite well together!!!

Jeebus this ask is probably pretty long oops and I didn’t even talk about how’d Drayton would be when opelucid froze over, that’ll probably be its own ask lol~Drayton angst anon💛

But also imagine tho if he and N interacts too, like N immediately knows Drayton is a Zorua, bc he thought it was his own Zorua. Imagine N and Iris arguing bc of that tho, N saying how hypocritical it is for Drayton, a Zorua, to disguise himself as a human, to "capture" his fellow pokemon. Ofc, Drayton was quite young during that, he was scared of N, but Iris was there defending him that N has a lot of nerve saying that, considering that he himself has captured pokemon too. N said those pokemon are his friends, Iris shot back how Drayton's pokemon are also his friends, he didn't capture them, they joined him willingly

It'd be cool to see if Iris and N have some sort of beef over that tho, bc ofc, N was kinda misguided at the start of the story, while Iris is rather protective of her brother. Even after things settled down and N tried to atone for his misdeeds, and while Drayton was starting to be comfortable w him, w N even leaving his own Zorua for Drayton, he and Iris still don't see eye to eye

But y'know as a mischievous Zorua, would he even be a slacker in this au? Imagine him turning to a Slakoth sometimes too that'd be cute hahah

Eventually Drayton wakes up and notices he’s no longer outside like he was when he ran into Ingo until he realizes he’s in the twins house! Still snuggled up to ingo and Drayton is content to fall right back asleep until he remembers what brought him to nimbasa and he can’t help but start whimpering and crying again, he’s so scared to lose Lacey…. It’s probably been hours since then, his family was probably worried he hadn’t come home yet as well…and the fact that he’s now in a house with his uncles who have no idea he’s Drayton…poor guy is just going through it and he just has no idea what to do but cry….~Drayton angst anon💛

Ough,,, but like,,, imagine if Iris comes visit them too tho, asking them if they've seen Drayton bc he hasn't come home yet, and then she sees her brother, as a Zorua, in Ingo's arms

Ingo just "ah, Iris, we apologize but we haven't seen Drayton anywhere."

Then Emmet chimes in, "we have, however, seen the white Zorua! Here he is, he must've missed you, as well."

And Drayton looks at Iris w them big ol' puppy eyes and just jumps into her arms, nuzzling close. Iris looks at Ingo and Emmet all "ah, thanks.. Drayton and Zorua are actually really close, it must be so scared now being separated from Drayton."

"oh, is that so? Well, perhaps we can help with your search."

"no! I mean... No, it's okay, with Zorua here maybe it can lead me to where Drayton is, he must be hanging out with his friends."

"are you sure? Well, if anything comes up, you can call us for help."

As Iris was leaving, Ingo was still looking at them. Emmet's there asking him if he finally has an answer to his question, if Drayton truly is the white Zorua. Ingo's there saying that they might be close to finding the answer

After causing the illusion Drayton just BOOKS it out of dirftveil city, he wants to go home….and he doesn’t know if he means opelucid city or the past…and that just upsets him more…Drayton is also panicking bc now Clay knows he’s not human he’s scared that Clay won’t let him see Lacey anymore he doesn’t want to lose his friend!!! he knows the stigma against hisuian zorua is in the past, the far past but that trauma remains….

drayton ends up running all the way to Nimbasa City and running right into the former warden, ingo! This is probably a lil bit after the twins surprise visit to their brothers house and then them visiting again, so ingo has met Drayton! In his human form that is….so Drayton is panicking even more…until ingo just picks him up and Drayton calms down pretty much immediately as he got ingo’s scent, he’s still crying and whimpering but he’s no longer panicking because he feels at home when ingo is holding him that he can’t help but snuggle closer to him~Drayton angst anon💛

Originally the hisuian zorua!Drayton AU was gonna be a 1 to 1 with canon but….with drayton being a zorua HOWEVER Ive decided to change that as I was thinking there’d be some personality changes bc the circumstances of Drayton being a zorua and that leads to canon changes, namely Drayton is still the E4 champion and Kieran takes his place as an E4 member!

Kieran’s personality shift reminded Drayton too much of a certain god obsessed merchant…..so he knew he couldn’t lose his title to Kieran of course he knows that Kieran isn’t like that someone but he still couldn’t just lose to Kieran….

Kieran’s still obsessed with getting stronger even after losing to Drayton and he doesn’t see he’s messed up Big Time until going into area zero like in canon! Drayton still asks protag for help n all that, basically the biggest main change is drayton is still champ and Kieran isn’t

Oh! And Drayton joins in on going to area zero this time! But that’s more self indulgent then anything really lmaoooo I really wanted him to join us in the games canon that however didn’t happen 😔 but it’s MY AU so I get to make the rules!!! So he gets to experience The Horrors of area zero :3 💛

Honestly how I imagine zorua's/zoroark's talking is telepathically (like in the zoroark master of illusions movie) but if they take on a human form for a long time (like Drayton) they can just straight up learn how to talk without telepathy

It's not as common now but Drayton will stutter on words sometimes well reading out loud or he can't figure out how to pronounce something, words are difficult, thankfully his family and the E4 help him when he's struggling with pronouncing things and talking💛

ÒwÓ I have been brainstorming ideas for how Amarys finds out that Drayton Is Not Human and have finally come up with something Drayton….cannot swim very well….alabaster icelands’s only water is near the Pearl settlement and lake acuity so he never really went that close to the water, even when he transforms into a water type his swimming isn’t that great so he avoids large bodies of water if he can!

So one day he and Amarys are hanging out in the polar biome and he ends up slipping and falling into one of the bodies of ice cold water and Amarys calls out her empoleon to get Drayton out of the water but instead of a human, empoleon pulls out this tiny white zorua and Amarys is a smart girl so she easily puts the pieces together and figures out that this zorua is Drayton

Drayton is more panicked about falling into the water then Amarys finding out (bc at this point both Crispin and Lacey know he’s Not Human) he’s fur can usually keep him warm but he’s wet now and cold and he’s just not having a good time, Amarys takes him from her empoleon to head back inside the school keeping him hidden best to her abilities as she guesses he’s not exactly open about what he is, until they reach Drayton’s dorm where he can warm up there (and probably call crispin to help warm Drayton up as he’s a poor shivering wet furball) 💛
