making an AU based off a show based off a doll line means I go WAY TOO HARD on trying to figure out the fits.

here are the designs for the Ever After High AU !!! :D the story this time around is like. WAY too complicated to explain in one post but like the super duper summarized version is this:

For generations the citizens of Ever After have been following the tradition of signing a magical contract in the Storybook of Legends promising to relive their parents' fairytales to keep the stories alive. But there's a bit of an uproar when the newest Evil Queen in ages refuses to follow her destiny and things start to get a little complicated as the students at Ever After High realize that maybe not everything has been played by the book in the past. When Normal breaks a magic mirror he REALLY wasn't supposed to find, his life and story are thrown into chaos. Add in some wildcard Wonderlandians and now nothing's going according to the script. Is a happily ever after really possible?

The AU doesn't follow the show to an exact T, we mostly borrowed some elements and the initial Raven and Apple conflict so there's quite a lot of surprises in store :3c

Normal stands with his right hand up holding a red apple and his left hand playfully posed out by his side. He is smiling cheerfully with an open mouth and has one green and one brown eye. He is wearinf a small tilted red and gold heart shaped crown with a teal bow on the bottom. He has short curly brown hair. Nicky being a bunny rabbit is ABSOLUTELY a running gag in the story btw Lark is fucking fuming and beefing with what appears to be just a normal ass bnuuy and its so funny. its SO funny.

Willy does play the role of the previous Evil Queen before Scary so here he is imprisoned his Magic (Doodler) Mirror that he will totaaaallly stay trapped in. mhm. definitely will not trick someone into breaking him out. (I am lying he definitely gets out)

We decided this happens like right before the Big Plot Shit happens in the AU and instead of being a festival it's Hermie's Birthday !!! The cursed riddlebook is a gift from Scam that Hermie gives to Scary instead bc he doesn't rlly care about it, which . turns out to be a very bad idea. The curse quickly spreads throughout the school reversing everyone's personalities and causing Normal to try and pretty much end the world.

This arc is Hermie and Taylor focused !!! :D Although it is really fun to think about the reverse teens running rampant NWVEGWHAAHA reverse norm is a little treat for me <3 but reverse Link is SO INCREDIBLY FUNNY . shoutout to this message from @happi-tree bc it's been burned into my memory and I cant stop laughing about it

When it comes to the curse we decided that bonds and skills stay the same but the personalities are inverted, which means reverse Scary being sooo attached and clingy to Hermie is just her personality changing the way she decides to communicate her affection for who she sees as her best friend. Its cute <3

Herm is SUPER on edge due to being incredibly irritated with his dad and feeling insecure about his friendship with Taylor, who's having a bit of a crisis on his own about his feeling about Link. Toss in their shared homesickness for Wonderland, a realm they can't go back to, and Taylor panicking over a gift his mom left him going missing, well it's not good for anyone. How are they gonna figure things out enough to save Ever After from destruction?

thinking abt the way eah au norm is so acespec coded. wdym you became so obsessed with the idea of a classic "happily ever after" that you associated romance with happiness and you tricked yourself into thinking you had a crush just because you felt like you HAD to in order to achieve your dreams. what do you mean you don't actually know what romantic love feels like but having your friends do everything in their power to save and stand by your side has made you feel more loved than you've ever felt in your entire life. what do you mean they were both your true love that woke you up from your cursed sleep. what do you mean its not a classic fairytale wedding ending but you think you want to spend your happily ever after with them in whatever way they'll have you. what do you mean they have spent this whole time teaching you that things dont have to go exactly how it was planned. what do you mean you dont love them in the same way that link loves taylor or that sparrow loves nicky but you do love them you do . and that its okay that its not the same . its okay.

I actually finished up the EAH AU designs for the teens so I'll probs be posting that later today w/ a brief explanation of the AU plot but I absolutely will tell it for you too 😤👍

EAH is Ever After High! Its a twin franchise to Monster High based of the kids of fairytale characters. It's primarily a doll line BUT it had a show that was (imo) phenomenal. Like the writers really went off with it !!! Unfortunately it got canceled some years back but I still get brainrot about it every year or so.

the whole AU came from me pointing out the parallels between the two EAH main characters, Raven and Apple, and comparing them to Scary and Normal LMAO. LIKE . Raven is a sorceress who grew up with her mother trying to guide her into evil and so she grew up not being able to enjoy soft and good things that she liked and then later she decides to rebel against the social narrative that said she had to be the villain and reclaimed her magic powers that she got from her mom for something good instead ....... and then Apple being a paragon for toxic positivity with no trustworthy adult figures in her life and constantly trying to conform to get her mom's approval.... Her with control issues trying to do what she thinks is right and good (but isnt always whats best).....

Anyways it totally spiraled and got away from us very quickly as we started filling out the rest of the plot and the cast. It went pretty off course from the original show aside from the Apple accidentally releases the original Evil Queen from her mirror prison plotline (aka Normal accidentally freeing Willy) and its just a LOT OF GOOD FUN.

The things that happen in the teens generation of the Snow White story are lowkey a consequence of what happened in the previous generation of Sparrow's Snow White story. WHICH WAS INFLUENCED BY HENRY'S. We really tied in the generational aspect this time round.

Also all the designs so far are wonderful and you’ve re-awakened one of my favourite shows so rkahdkdhdk yeah!!

Hehehehe well obvi I'm working on the AU by making designs n drawing stuff BUT rin ( @rindomness ) and nyx ( @kaseyskat ) ALSO played a big part in shaping the story and plot !!! They're also both writers and rin has also drawn the twins in the au here. And since this AU has kinda consumed us whole BAVEGAHAHAH the EAH AU bug has kinda spread to almost everyone in our dndads server so trav, silver, and cookies have also made and contributed stuff but im not sure if they plan on posting any of that. Trav did share kit's Jodie design here tho !!

Any other art that you might have seen is fanart which I ADORE WITH ALL MY HEART <333 Anybody is free to draw any of the designs or come up with new ones !! I totally encourage it :3c It makes me n the others very happy <3333 I know koz and sei have done fanart which hehehehe MAKES ME SOOOOO HAPPY !!! Sei DOES know more abt the AU than others would bc we're friends <3 so even if they're not in the server where we came up with it all they have def been told some part of it.
