Tanzania has banned plastic bags to beatplasticpollution. EITZ's KWETUproject teaches people, mainly women, to grow vegetables in keyholegardens which means they buy less from shops, helping to cut down on plastics. They can feed their families in the hunger season too, when traditionally nothing would be planted.
Today we celebrate with the team in Mafuluto, Tanzania the difference that Emmanuel International projects made in their lives. They have access to good nutritious food and can generate additional income. Tanzania has banned single use plastics, aiding in the fight against microplastics.
Please continue to pray for the Jesus Film showings in the Uganda GROW ministry. Showing the Jesus Film is the second step in a community discipleship process. Currently, the EI Uganda team is showing the film 2 or 3 times every week. The response has been excellent. At one recent showing there were over 1,000 people. Thank you for supporting this project in helping purchase the projector and sound equipment. Praise God
A short term mission team from St Peter's Church Farnborough installed rainwater harvesting tanks at the Sengerema Church Planting School in Mwanza region, Tanzania. The supply of water will bless the pastors' training school.
8 March 2024 marks International Women’s Day and today we celebrate the achievements of women in Malawi.

EIUK has been fortunate to have Sue lead our office and teams over many years, which often requires quite a bit of driving to churches and airports supporting EI missionaries, teams and speaking about the work of EI to churches around the UK.
We have set up a special fund and we are asking our EI family and friends to contribute to a replacement vehicle for Sue so that she can continue to support this work as her current vehicle will very soon no longer be a viable option.
We are thankful for Sue’s many years of support and service to EI, and as such we want to support her by making this appeal.
Donations would be greatly appreciated. Find out how on
We are excited that we already have 50 people attending the conference! Alumni and supporters are joining in the celebrations. We’d be delighted if you could also join us. There is more space! Book your place!
Simon, Victoria, Tabitha and Reuben Ewing live in Mwanza, Tanzania and have worked in the lakeside communities since 2017.
This year Victoria has been very busy with her role of Trial Manager for a government health intervention. Within the trial 8,500 boys have now received the HPV vaccine. She is putting effort into her swimming, competing in her first ever swimming gala and winning two medals! Victoria is also an elected representative at the children’s school meaning she gives constructive input on various issues.
Simon continues to work with the EI Tanzania national offices, overseeing finances and building capacity in the team. EI Tanzania is now a registered NGO and Simon is working with the other missionaries to ensure the organisation is compliant. The work continues to be challenging. With many community development projects ongoing and new villages starting, there is never a dull moment!
Tabitha and Reuben are both enjoying the international school. Tabitha started year 7 in secondary, which has taken some adjusting, but we thank God she is becoming more confident and capable, helping as a leader in church Sunday school and holiday camps. Reuben is more active than ever, regularly swimming, doing sports and then playing with his friends after school. He is excited by adventure story books, and also loves the geology club at school.
We continue to seek Gods will for our family as we strengthen the teams and church partners here in Mwanza, Proverbs 24 reminds us to seek God as we build our family routines and work commitments.
By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures.
