My general response to people bitching about what I post, on any platform, is to then go and post quite a bit more of that exact thing. It is very effective and on one memorable occasion got me some very rude texts from one of my aunts.

The Sai Post

@elynight and I were discussing random ass shit and this came up but both of us have way too much shit going on, so if anyone wants to write any of this, please do, but also let us know so we can read it!!

1.) Sai’s crop-top is actually a Sports Bra and no one’s said anything yet. He read in a book that they “Provide Sport For Physical Work” but never got to finish reading and so thinks its training regulation.

2.) Trans!Sai

3.) Non-Binary!Sai

4.) Agender!Sai

5.) Sai knowing perfectly well that his crop-top/sports bra is for women but it’s comfortable and easy to move in so he doesn’t give a shit

6.) Always-a-girl!Sai who doesn’t get why everyone is surprised

7.) While in ROOT, Sai didn’t know he was Trans b/c Danzo is a phobic asshole, but after being on Team 7 and making friends/being properly socialized he could finally understand what it was he felt

8.) Sai bluntly asking Shino on a date bacuse he seemed like “The only other person who would have a dick and would actually know what it’s for” and Shino just being like “wat” and then the two of them weird dating that somehow works and oh gawd where did that ship come from?

9.) Sai is like Sebastian from Kuroshitsuji when it comes to cats. Tora thinks he’s adorable.

10.) Sai learns the art of Dramatic Angst “My favorite color is black b/c it matches my soul.”

9.  So far? it’s actually been a toss-up between Boromir and Glorfindel.  Glorfindel’s bit is here, Boromir’s isn’t available becuase it involves a Plot Twist. Frodo and Sam’s bits have also been fun so far, and Gandalf is third because he’s fun to write but also making me Learn Things About Cars.

11. Most of the time I straight-up Don’t and let things happen as they will, so having a plot to follow and mock (lovingly!) is new and it’s frankly really nice to have structure for once.

17.  They stared as the massive creature passed them in the valley below, somehow graceful despite it’s massive size.

“I need one.”  Said Sam. “But small.”

“I don’t think Oliphants come in small, Sam.” said Frodo.

“I’m sure they do!  You  said collies didn’t come in small either and then what did Mr. Bombadil have?”

“You want a corgi’d oliphant?” asked Frodo, watching as one of them stopped and casually uprooted an oak whist scratching it’s backside.

“What’s a Corgi?” asked Gollum

“It’s a kind of hairy sausage.”  Said Frodo, unhelpfully.

“Yeah, it’ll fit right in in The Shire.  I can use it to plow the back 40, and keep Pippin out of my Tomatoes.”

“What’s Tomatoes?” Asked Gollum.

“Toe-Mah-Toes” corrected Sam. “ ‘slike Taters but on the other end of the plant.”  She explained, even more unhelpfully.  Gollum’s confusion did not last long as the Oliphant, having heard the bikering, was now rapidly ambling toward thier shrub on the cliffside with the sort of pure-hearted murderous glee only truly massive unglulates are capable of, trumpeting happily.

7, 8, and 33

7.  How long is your current WIP?

The first book of Glory is Poison just crossed 50,000 words. Haunt is at... 30,000, I think? I haven’t worked on it in awhile. Put it on the shelf for a bit because I was getting stuck. I’ll get back to it eventually. All other novel projects are mostly at a few thousand words for a first test chapter.

8. What author would you be most excited to be compared to?

Maggie Stiefvater. Her descriptions and ability to capture emotion are just. Dang.

33. Do you flesh-out characters before you write, or let their personalities develop over time?

A bit of both! Frequently they get away from me, though, as characters do. And then I’ve gotta go back and edit. Glory is Poison is a study in characters getting away from me. Little fuckers all went in unintended directions. Ariane and Vivian were each supposed to have, like, two scenes and now they’re 90% of the plot. Shae also becomes a worse and worse person with every revision.
