It was a nice day out, which meant that Brock was having the absolute time of his life trotting along down the sidewalk. They didn't have any specific place to go, Leila was just getting him out for his daily walk, and she had no problem letting him lead the way. When he started whining and tugging her in another direction, Leila gave a confused look, not spotting any hot dog carts or snacks that usually would merit the reaction. It wasn't until they were up closer to Emerson that she realized he was just excited to see the vet. Padding right up, Brock flopped down to the ground, looking up with a wide grin as his tail wagged back and forth. "I think he really quite likes you," she greeted, offering her own smile as she came to a stop with Brock.

Nearly two months after stumbling upon a lost cat, she'd finally accepted the fact that no one was coming to claim him. Her mother had already welcomed the four legged friendly into the family, her brother the same, meaning that the once stray of a cat had finally found his home. The park ranger smiled wide as the door to the exam room opened up and the redhead she'd been keeping up to date stepped through with the cat's chart in hand. "Grimm," she hummed, holding up the collar she'd already slipped from the cat's neck, the tag dangling as it bobbed from side to side, "his name. I named him Grimm."

And she had appreciated them all coming and being such good sports about the dress code. She smiled as she spotted the vet and gave her a wave. "Emerson! Hey! You look great! I hope that you've got plenty of compliments 'cause you deserve them!" She exclaimed with excitement as she moved to stand up and move a little closer to Emerson. "How've ya been doin'?"

Dilan had yet to be out to the community garden since giving birth but deciding it was a nicer day and Selvi was in great care, she decided to go check on the plants that Jeanine had been taking care of. She brought, Tina, the younger black lab mix with her to get some fresh air after being cooped up in the house. Dilan had checked over her plants, happy to see they were still alive like Jeanie had said and began walking toward on the of the trails when Tina's bark nearly made her jump out of her skin, though it was an excited one. Placing a hand over her heart, she laughed as she spotted Emerson, "Do you get a lot of dogs excited to see you outside the vet?"

An annual tradition for as long as Yasemin had been working with kids was a day spent carving pumpkins to bring back for their rooms. Yas was sitting at one of the pumpkin carving stations with a pile of pumpkins at her side, several of them already carved into with cute faces. Her tongue was sticking out just slightly to the side in concentration as she carved out another slice of the pumpkin in front of her. Sighing a bit, Yas let her head tilt, trying to decide if it was even close to what she was trying to accomplish. "What do you think? Does this look like Spongebob?" she asked, holding up the pumpkin towards Emerson with a hopeful smile, not realizing right away that she was speaking with her best friend's ex.

Lorelai was known for her daily rounds around the restaurant around peak lunch and dinner times. Wanting to always assure that people were being taken care of well and she enjoyed a bit of conversation, it helped break up her day a bit into segments. Strolling around, she stopped in front of an unfamiliar woman's table and gave her a welcoming smile. "Hello, finding everything alright tonight?" She purposely didn't share her position at The Silk Road until after hearing the response, not wanting her ownership of the restaurants to sway anyone's answer if they were susceptible to peer pressure.

Rachel had found that when Providence Peak did these types of events people went all out. Both in donations which was really awesome but also in attire too. She was enjoying seeing all the people dressed up and found the decorations adorable. She also realized that the way she had dressed may look like she was trying to impress a doctor or two in spouse hunting, even though that had not been really her intention whatsoever. Cradling her plastic cup of wine, she was about to head to look at the food when she side stepped in the wrong direction and bumped into someone else, nearly spilling her wine on both of them. "Oh, I'm so sorry! I'm such a klutz I went right instead of left there. I didn't make you spill anything did I?"

CATS Suncoast Broadway Dinner Theatre - Hudson, FL (with Pics)

Thanks to Suncoast Broadway Dinner Theatre for renting our set and having us for the past two weeks in the Junkyard. It's always a delight working with Chaz, and we got to know an incredible cast and crew. I'm not sure how many hashtags I can use so I am going to include the cast list here for pics that arrive since all of you are so talented at Tumblr (the cast is so intrigued by Superfans, btw!)

We had many challenges with a dinner theatre because the stage is very small in order to accommodate tables. As well, actors serve patrons so I needed to design an outfit to protect the costumes and suspend disbelief. And from patron reactions, we've been told this is one of the best openings, if not the best opening, and the best show/costume the theatre has had to date and hoped we'd be back, which was very, very kind of them.

Mungojerrie/Macavity split track, played by Andre Spathelf-Sanders and yeah, this jerk who keeps showing up. I adore the whole cast to bits truly but we're planning on cosplaying Green Lantern together and he was the first to get my "Archer" references in the make up classes. If it's ever of interest, I'm happy to sometime talk about my make up classes and what to do when there are "mistakes" with what I call the Bob Ross Method.

Demeter by Iraya Catalina is making an argument that maybe all Demeters need to be Filipino because she slays!

Jennyanydots and her incredibly supportive husband. She was one of the most delightful people to work with, hilarious, fun, loving, amazing hugs, and just a joy. I've never had a Jenny almost refuse to take the Gumbie suit off (which is a huge compliment). What a joy.

David was the make up designer for all of the designs except Bombalurina's, and I taught about 5-hours of make up classes.

The magic of an incredible LED screen came into play as there were cool effects, such as a first person POV of a cat going to the junkyard (bringing YOU into the show) and the sky changing with the hours of the day, the moon, everything. The lighting designer Dalton Hamilton was wonderful and provided the following photographs. All costumes designed/created by David and myself (The Costume Asylum/Siegert Creative):

I am going to try to get some rehearsal pics and one of the funniest bloopers ever but I hope this is a nice start. Happy Sunday, I'm happy to be home, but I miss these kitties so much already!

Each passing day, I become more and more of that "how do you do fellow young people" meme, I swear.

If there's anything specific you'd like to know, feel free to ask or comments in general. Not sure how long it'll take to get back because I got 2 hours of sleep last night, flew in, and today is a "fuck it, let's order dominos" day. ... but... ordering dominos... is hard. moving is hard. falling down the stairs... easier than anticipated. 0/10 do not recommend.

After a few passes around the rink and creatively avoiding two near collisions, the professor had decided that it was time for a break and headed for the snack bar. The brunette hadn't been sure where Dallas had gotten off to but she figured one of his siblings or friends had snagged him for a few moments.

When she'd rolled up for a refreshment and began perusing the available snacks, the brunette noticed and unforgettable face. One belonging to a the gorgeous redhead in her beautiful dress. A gentle touch on the woman's arm— "hi," she said making sure the redhead could see her lips and waved.

"I love your dress," Chey further said, admiration shining from her hazel gaze, "are you apart of the show later?"

After watching the derby squad take on a pretty badass Thriller dance and spending some time out skating herself, Kat was kicked back on one of the tables with a plate of snacks now watching people's costumes. It was one of her favorite times of year, being able to watch what people came up with and letting her own creativity show through in her own costumes. Lifting a hand to wave as Emerson walked by, Kat leaned over in her direction with a grin. "Killer performance out there. You been doing roller derby for awhile?" Kat asked, wanting to give the woman her props for a job well done.

Volunteering had gotten a little more difficult for Dylan to do as her pregnancy continued on. It did make her feel a bit guilty, but she also knew there was only so much she could do and pushing herself was not in the best interest of her or the twins. But, a simple visit didn't seem like it would do any harm. Except perhaps she'd be sending Theo text about whether or not they should get a pet, since it actually was good to introduce babies to animals early so they'd have less chance to become allergic to pet dander. She was in the middle of this thought process when she saw a familiar face. "Oh hey there Emerson! It's been awhile." She shared as she had volunteered some with her before.
