The Sun Stopped Coming Up
January 3
The sun’s not coming up. The sun’s not coming up.
I can’t deal with this, school’s starting Monday, how am I supposed to get to class when it’s so dark you can’t see your hand three inches in front of your face?!
When I got up, I figured it was just because it was winter, ya know? Sun goes down and stays down longer when it’s cold. But I knew something was up by noon. The sun should’ve been up by now, it’s starting to freak me out.
Neighbors have come by asking for some things they don’t want to run to the store for, ignoring the elephant in the room that there’s no fucking sun. Apparently the darkness gets even worse when you try to get out of the neighborhood. It’s best to just stay here until this all blows over, while pretending it’s not happening at all.
Dad was sleeping on the couch this morning. I think he and mom got into another fight, they’re not talking and mom’s been crying, even though she does her best to hide it. God, it’s bad enough that the world might be ending, I don’t have time to worry about my parent’s failing marriage.
January 4
The streetlights went out, haven’t come back on. Outside now looks like Satan’s Winter Wonderland, with all the snow and it being so dark. I can see other houses across the street, the lights shining through the window like beacons in the night. The only reason I can make out anything in my yard is from the light shining from my living room window.
Mom and Dad aren’t talking. Jesus Christ, you could cut the tension with a knife. I really wish I could go outside to smoke but I swear Dad had a stroke when he saw me open the back door. I don’t know how he expects me to go to school if I can’t even go out on the back porch to ‘get some air’, but whatever.
For now I’m just cracking the window in my bedroom and doing what I can to waft the smoke out there. I’m sixteen, I can make my own decisions.
January 7
Okaaaaay. I guess I’m not going to school.
Sun’s still not up. Weekend’s just been boring as shit with just watching outdoors get darker, if that’s even possible. I even started getting ready before I realized ‘what the hell am I doing’ and went downstairs to ask if I can stay home. My dad gave me his approval and said I can stay home for as long as it stays dark.
First time we really acknowledged how absolutely bizarre that is, and it’s the only acknowledgment.
I tried turning on the TV, see if there’s anything on the news about this, but all I got was static. Couldn’t even connect to any local channels, it’s all snow. Phone’s dead too, I tried calling Isla and Lydia and got nothing. Not even a busy signal. It worked last night when I talked with Lydia. She lives just a few blocks away and it’s dark there too. Isla lives in the city though, not Bartonville, and apparently sun’s fine there. She said she’d come over today to see if I’m still making up bullshit.
It’s not bullshit. Sun’s gone and it’s showing no sign of coming back.
January 8
It’s not just the sun disappearing. Lights are going out.
It started with the kitchen. I went down and tried flicking the light, got nothing. I yelled for dad and said the kitchen bulb burned out and he went pale. He switched it and I heard him swear for the first time in my life when it still didn’t work. I tried to tell him to check the breaker but he was clearly losing his shit. By the time Mom came in he was babbling nonsense about the lights being taken away and Mom had to help him lie down.
I wonder if this has anything to do with why he was at work late for the last few weeks. I don’t know what he works on, but I’m starting to go a little stir crazy and it’s making me paranoid.
Isla never showed up yesterday. Stayed up until midnight and she never showed. Maybe she just got turned around or maybe she forgot, she’s like that.
I bet she just forgot.
January 9
Half the house is stuck in the dark now, including my bedroom, but that’s not the worst of it.
Watching the street is the only form of entertainment I have other than reading, and I’m getting too antsy to focus on that. I cracked the window while I street watched and then I heard it.
For the last few days, all I’ve heard while I’ve cracked the window is wind. Today I heard whispers.
Yes, I thought maybe I’d finally cracked and was hearing things but I pressed my head against the screen to listen better.
It was then I heard the clack of something like claws climbing up the side of the house. I yanked my head back just in time to see those claws land on the sill. I was frozen when that… that THING hauled itself up to my eye level.
It was probably my height, maybe a bit bigger, pure black with tufts of hair or fur coming from the top of its head and its shoulders. It didn’t have any facial features other than these large pointed ears and bright red eyes, eyes bigger than my balled up fist. It blinked a few times, like he was just as surprised to see me as well.
His claws sliced through the screen as I stared at it. I had to be going crazy, right? Its enormous hand groped around my desk before landing on my last pack of cigarettes. It yanked them back, waved them in my face, and then it dropped out of sight with a chittering madman’s sound.
I screamed as loud as I could before slamming the window down. My dad came in and when I told him what I saw, he began to cry. Just crumpled into a ball on the floor and began sobbing.
I had to tuck him into bed. I asked mom what was wrong with him, but she couldn’t answer me. All she knew for sure was that he came back late January 2, looking paranoid as all fuck and smelling like someone else’s perfume.
I don’t know what’s worse, the fact that my dad apparently is having an affair or how calmly my mom said that. Apparently she’d been onto him for months, and it’d been likely going on for years. Years. It was only that night she caught him.
God, I wish I could just go back in my treehouse and hide for a bit but I can’t imagine leaving this house right now. Not with those things out there that laugh and whisper… even though they don’t have mouths.
January 10
The darkness took a house last night.
The chittering from those freaks was so loud it woke me up. We crowded in front of the living room window and watched as dozens, maybe even a hundred of those monsters, surrounded the house across the street. Windows were busted in, the door was ripped off the hinges, and they flooded inside.
The Kinneys started screaming seconds after they got in. They screamed for what felt like ages. And all we could do was stand there and watch.
Dad bolted around the house after that, extinguishing every candle, turning off any lights we still had that worked. He’s sure they were attracted to the light. I don’t get it but honestly I’m not gonna argue with the guy who’s clearly two steps away from a mental breakdown. The Kinneys did have the most lights on still.
My thighs are going to be covered in bruises with how I keep bumping into everything every few steps. I can only use my flashlight to write in my diary, I have to leave it dark the rest of the time. All I can do is just watch the darkness outside the window.
January 11
Two more houses were ripped to pieces during the night… maybe the night, I can’t tell anymore. I count days by sleeps now. And now there’s not much else to do but sleep.
I am getting better at seeing in the dark though, although all there is to see isn’t great. The monsters just took the Kinney’s house down, there’s nothing left but a pile of wood. The Lotts’ and Jarvis’ house is also destroyed. In the wreckage I can sometimes see dark shapes moving around them, more monsters, probably. I wish I could fucking see Lydia’s house, but it’s too far away. I hope she’s okay.
It’s clear my dad prepped for being here for a long time though, we have enough canned food to last until the end of the century. Something on that last normal night spooked him. And although he and my mom are clearly going to split the moment they can, he still cares about us. Even if he did betray us.
I’m too tired to be angry. And too scared. Maybe turning the lights off was the right choice but who fucking knows.
January 12
Rhys Gill.
That’s the name of dad’s ‘other woman’… or in this case, man. Boy this just couldn’t be easy, could it?
I was in the living room watching the snow when I saw a dark shape dart across the lawn. I almost screamed for my dad when I heard someone run into the door, but then I heard a voice.
“God, please let me in!!”
I don’t know what made me turn the knob, but the guy nearly flattened me in his panic to get inside. The side of his face is all raked up from something’s claws, and right after I closed the door I heard something else slam against it, followed by an angered scream. That thing was right on his heels and I didn’t even see it.
My dad admitted it all to my mom in the other room when Rhys practically fell in my dad’s arms sobbing about how they weren’t just seeing things. Mom came out after a few minutes alone, dry eyed and holding a first aid kit. She patched up Rhys’ face while Rhys explained what had been happening all over the block. The monsters, or ‘Shadows’ as he called them, are in fact attracted to the light. Dad was right. But they also like heat. Rhys saw a few of them curled up around a burning house like a bunch of dogs in front of a fireplace.
They didn’t bring the dark though. The ‘Other Thing’ did. Dad and Rhys refuse to explain further but apparently that night they saw something. Something… unknown.
I’m praying for the sun’s return soon. Dad turned the heat off and we’re all bundling up.
January 13
I like Rhys.
That sounds so bad, I know, he’s the guy that’s ruining everything for my parents. But he’s super nice, he’s helping board up the windows so as little light and heat escapes but leaves peepholes for me to keep an eye out. He’s trying to keep the mood up by bringing up his travel stories, apparently he went all over Europe for summer vacation after he graduated. If I’m ever interested, he can recommend the best spots apparently.
I’ll take going anywhere to get out of this damn darkness.
I think even Mom likes Rhys, or at least is playing nice. There’s no room to be a dick while the world’s potentially ending. And dad… he looks happy when he’s with Rhys. Happier than he ever looked with mom.
Fuck if I keep crying all over my diary I’m gonna make the ink bleed. I can practically see in the dark like a cat now, although Rhys gave me plenty of new batteries for my flashlight, so my handwriting’s actually readable.
January 14
The monster that stole my cigarettes came back.
I know it was him because he’s made the butts into a creepy necklace. Dickhole, I could use a smoke. He was just peering in through the slats of my window’s barricade, tapping on the glass with his claws and making more weird warbling sounds.
Rhys showed me his gun, he says if the monster tries busting through he’ll make sure to put it down. I’ve never felt so relieved.
In the meantime, I’m calling it Nic (short for Nicotine) and I’m sleeping in my parent’s room. Well, mom’s room, dad and Rhys are now occupying a room in the basement.
I wish they’d just tell us what they saw that night.
January 15
NicgotinNicgotinfuckfuckfuck-
I don’t even know how! I just heard Rhys and Dad scream and came down to the basement to find dad bleeding everywhere and Rhys trying to put a bullet in Nic’s head. He missed twice and ended up pegging it in the arm once. It bolted back long enough for Rhys and I to drag Dad to the main floor and to shut the door.
Nic is stuck in the basement and he can’t get up here, but I do hear him pacing up and down the stairs. Dad’s… really fucked up. Mom started praying when she was patching up his neck, he looks super pale still and he’s going in and out of consciousness. Rhys is holding onto his hand and he’s bawling his eyes out.
I think my dad’s dying.
January 16
Dad’s dead.
He passed sometime… well, don’t know really when, clocks have all stopped and haven’t been going for days. It’s like time’s not even real anymore, it’s just an eternal night until we all die.
I peered out the window to see the front yard’s got a few more bodies in it, all pretty badly shredded, but I would recognize Lydia’s hot pink coat anywhere. I think the rest of the bodies are her family but I can’t tell. Won’t be able to either probably, even if I could get up close to them.
We’re all going to die. Mom’s just laying in bed and Rhys is counting his bullets in between his sniffles.
All I need to know is that he has more than three.
January 17
After we stashed Dad’s body in the office, Rhys sat both mom and I down and told us what happened.
They’d met by the old State Hospital, planning on going for a drive in Dad’s car while leaving Rhys’ stashed around there. Dad never once worked late in his life, which for some reason that of all things ticks me off. He always got on my case whenever I skipped a class or two and all this time he was practically gunning it from work to go meet his boyfriend.
At sunset they saw the monsters.
Two of them, not counting the Shadows that surrounded the one that almost looked human, except he was too tall and too pale and had eyes black as night. The other one was hunched over and some sort of drooling creature with a maw not big enough for all its teeth, but it was clear these two creatures were not friends.
The King (that’s what Rhys is calling the one with the Shadows) apparently attacked first, but the Beast fought back. It was then the sky began to grow dark, despite the sun still sitting on the horizon. They watched the sky grow black while the creatures continued to fight.
They got the hell out of there before it became too dark, both going home and telling each other they’d been drugged. That was the only explanation for what unexplainable shit they’d seen. But they both still found themselves preparing, dad picking up all that canned food and Rhys digging that gun out of storage and making sure he had ammo.
This has nothing to do with us. The King and The Beast just put us in the middle of their shitfest and we’re all going to die because of it.
January 18
Mom’s going to kill herself. Rhys and I aren’t going to stop her.
There’s not going to be an end to this night. Mom knows this. The sun’s never coming back. Nic is still in the basement, pacing up and down those steps. It’s waiting for its friends to show up so they can kill us all, rip us limb from limb.
Rhys is going to make a last stand when that happens, but Mom can’t bring herself to wait for the sun anymore. She sat me down and told me how much I mean to her, that she still loves dad even if he really, really hurt her. That she won’t think badly of me if I’m not ready to end it.
I’m not. But I’m just glad she’s going to take pills and peacefully go to sleep instead of taking Rhys’ offer to use his gun. I’m not sure if I could take it if I heard the gun go off.
I’m such a coward, I should be joining her right now. But I’m too scared to die.
I’m only sixteen.
I don’t want to die.
January 19
This will be my last entry.
Nic and the others broke through last night, right through the basement door. Rhys took out a lot of them, but I’m not sure if he’s still alive since I’m not hearing any gunshots anymore. I’m barred up in my room, I keep getting whiffs of my parent’s rotting bodies and it makes me want to puke.
Why why why didn’t I go with mom yesterday I don’t want to die I don’t want to die
I can hear them in the hall. They’re looking for me. They can feel my warmth, even if my fingers feel numb and my teeth can’t stop chattering.
I can hear them whispering my name.
I’m going to make a break for it out my window. I don’t have a doubt that I’ll freeze to death but I’ll take that over being ripped to pieces.
I hear it’s quite nice, freezing to death. You just sorta go to sleep.
Goodbye.
~*~
I found this in the attic of a home I’m restoring. There was a horrible blizzard a few decades back that destroyed a fuckton of homes, but nothing like this.  Maybe it’s a joke. Maybe it’s some creative writing homework or the beginning of a novel.
All I can say is that last night the sun went down… but it hasn’t come back up yet this morning.

The entirety of dinner, Duncan and Jim never once stopped speaking. What they could eat in an hour turned into 2 because they always had a lot of catching up to do when Duncan was back in town or if Jim went down to D.C. It was a sight to see and the both of them couldn't stop giggling about it; how completely opposite the two dressed in the styles that they taught each other about. And when Duncan got up to stretch before clearing the table, Jim's eyes shot straight down to the print between his legs. Jim was always staring at Duncan when he had the chance. Whether it be because he simply adored the man or because he was beyond horny, he could almost never take his eyes off Duncan Shepherd if it was just the two together.
After dinner, the two made their way into the parking garage of Jim's apartment complex and into his car where they shared a joint or two... or three. It's a good thing that Jim always kept a case of water bottles in his trunk because both of them had a very serious case of cotton mouth.
"Fuck, I can't drink it fast enough." Duncan said as he gulped his water down and his cotton mouth still wasn't going away. High off his ass, Jim bursted into giggles at his boyfriend's failed attempt to get his mouth and throat wet. Mouth full of water because he happened to be drinking, of course he sprayed most of it all over his dress shirt.
"Guess I gotta take it off now." Jim said, still giggling.
"No, no." Duncan replied, licking his lips and watching as the water soaked through the material, exposing Jim's toned chest. "Leave it on."
"Okaaaaay." Jim threw his head back, sighing happily before returning his gaze back to Duncan. "So how long is this trip?"
"It isn't." Duncan answered, his eyes glossy from his high.
"What do you m-,"
"I'm not going back to D.C., Jim. I- I'm leaving everything behind. So that we don't have to keep doing this. I miss you a lot when I'm gone. No amount of texts, calls, and video chats can compare to just being here with you."
"Duncan are you se-,"
"Yes. Remember when I told you a couple months ago that I was working on something huge?"
"Yeah." Jim answered, his voice trying hard not to crack.
"I sold what I could and packed what I could. I'm having a couple things shipped down here. And I knew that if I told you while I was back in Washington you'd try to stop me, so I just did it, slowly. I'm discussing buying a house with a couple property owners out here, just have to go see them in person. I was hoping that you would mo-," Jim cut Duncan off, slamming his lips against his in a fiery kiss as he finally let some of his tears go.
"Duncan..." he said as he pulled away, leaving his forehead against his. "I always could of just moved to D.C. You know I'd drop everything for you."
"I know, but I didn't want to. You have a nice little life here in LA and out of PV. It's simple. You're away from the lime light. Private life. DC was so hectic and I was so stressed all the time. Being here with you and loving you, the sand in my toes, a whole lotta margaritas and vodka cranberries, and some of the best sex I've ever had." Jim blushed at Duncan's words.
"California is an interesting place, I can say that for sure. I love it here."
"That's something someone not from California would say." Jim chuckled, causing Duncan to laugh.
"Besides." Duncan continued. "You're still so young and full of life, Jim. DC will suck that right out of you. It's only good for a visit, I promise you that. I've never felt so fucking old."
"Duncan you're only 33."
"And you're 27."
"You're not old, Dunc. At all."
"Oh, I know that now that I've actually been doing things other than working." He winked at Jim.
"And when you're like 76 and I'm like 70, you'll still be my sexy young man."
"Very funny."
"Duncan, I love you." Jim said, turning his body slightly in his seat so that he could face Duncan a little bit better.
"I love you too."
The two sat in silence for a while, staring at each hazy eyed before their gazes finally drew their lips together again, but this time they kissed hungrily. They were handsy.
"No. Not here." Duncan moaned out as Jim's lips made their way to the side of his face and down to his neck.
"Okay. Okay. Fine. C'mon though." Jim quickly hopped out the car, Duncan following behind him. Locking the doors behind them, the two ran through the parking garage like teenage boys; giggling as Jim looked back at Duncan who was hot on his heels. When they got in the elevator, Duncan pinned Jim up against the wall, putting his lips back on his in a breathy kiss filled with hard pants and their hands roamed freely once again. Duncan gripped Jim's ass tightly, pulling him closer, when the elevator dinged. Jim grinned against Duncan's lips before taking off again down the hall. Another chase that Duncan somehow managed to keep up with. How he managed Jim's level of energy he was unsure of, but he loved it anyway.
Jim couldn't get his keys in the door fast enough, pushing it open immediately as soon he heard the click. He tossed his keys on the counter and Duncan pounced on him again. This time, he picked Jim up, Jim wrapping his legs around his waist in yet another steamy kiss, Duncan carrying him to the bed. Jim left his shades open, the moonlight that shined brightly through his window being the only source of light they had to guide them. Duncan set Jim down by the bed, quickly pulling his hoody over his head before ripping Jim's shirt clean off. Jim, too high off marijuana and Duncan's love, didn't seem to care as he fumbled with his belt before finally unbuttoning his slacks and pulling them down.
Duncan pushed Jim down onto the bed before pulling his sweats down. He climbed on top of him, sinking between his legs, planting soft kisses along the surfer boy's neck as he grinded against him through the material of his boxers. Soft kisses were soon turned into harsh sucks and love bites as Duncan left behind a few hickeys on his neck and chest. Jim whimpered underneath him, thrusting upwards for a little more friction, but Duncan planted him back down, thrusting right back. The both of them loved the feeling of the other growing hard in response to each other's touch.
Jim's breathing got heavier as Duncan trailed his tongue down his chest down to his abdomen and just above the hem of his underwear. He slowly pulled them down, leaving kisses and bites on Jim's thighs. Jim let out a low hum in approval before Duncan put him inside of his mouth.
"Mmmmm, Dunc." Jim moaned as he got to work on him. Duncan moved slowly at first, swiveling his tongue over the head. Jim propped himself up on his elbows to get a better view. He bit down on his bottom lip as his breathing became uneven. He gripped the bedsheets beside him, slowly moving his hips to try and match Duncan's rhythm. But then Duncan sped up, completely throwing Jim off. And he was a mess again, slumping back down into his mattress as he let out a deep moan. He grabbed a nearby pillow, throwing it over his face attempting to keep himself from getting to loud, but he knew was pointless. Duncan pushed Jim all the way to back of his throat, allowing for Jim to thrust even further upwards as he bit down hard on the pillow.
"Fuck." he growled as he sunk his hips back down, allowing for Duncan to start bobbing his head back up and down. He was sloppy now, slobbering all over Jim as he moaned, groaned and whined. Tossing the pillow to the side, his hands found their way in Duncan's hair, tugging gently as he brought him closer and closer to the edge.
"Fuck, baby. I'm so close." Jim moaned out, but Duncan didn't stop. Using one of his hands he massaged Jim's balls. His stomach twitched and he knew he was close and when he was right there about to spill over, Duncan stopped, flipping him over into his stomach. He quickly pulled his boxers off, getting his hand wet enough and stroking himself a few times before pouring himself inside of Jim.
"Shit..." Duncan mumbled as Jim's walls wrapped around him, inviting him in. "Still so nice and so warm." Jim bit down on his pillow for the second time tonight. Duncan slapped his ass before he began sliding in and out of Jim whose leaking erecting rubbed back and forth against the soft and warm sheets.
"Missed you so much.." Jim said, barely above a whisper, but Duncan heard him.
"I missed you too." Duncan replied in his ear, speeding up his pace, his hips rocking back and forth. Pure nostalgia filled Jim as he Duncan fucked him with the same intensity he did the first night they met, the second time they got to see each other, and the night that they made it official. Submerged in a world of pleasure, Jim closed his eyes and replayed that memory again, vividly.
"Wanna go for a walk along the boardwalk?" Jim asked Duncan as he shoved his last piece of fried Oreo in his mouth. "And I don't knooooow, maybe tell me what's on your mind? You've been awfully quiet since we sat down to take a break."
"Yeah, come on." Duncan got up rather quickly. Jim got up too throwing his trash away before the two began their walk. They walked closely together, so close that Duncan managed to slip his hand into Jim's and the two intertwined fingers.
"So you're not mad at me for something?" Jim questioned, looking over at Duncan.
"Mad at you?" Duncan asked confused before finally sighing and stopping all together, standing completely in front of Jim.
"Well yeah, you haven't been-,"
"Jim, I love you."
"I know Dunc, I love you t-,"
"No, Jim. I LOVE you. I am IN LOVE with you. I can't keep visiting you and having you visit me and not letting you know how I feel. And you know I'm not all about labels, but this is a label I want. It's a label I need." Duncan poured out. "Every moment I spend with you, I've never felt so alive. Every call we make, every text we send, every time your name or face pops up on my phone, I'm flooded with nothing, but good memories.
"And I know I can come off as a little passive sometimes or shut down, but it was never because of you Jim. I have my own issues that I'm working on. Every time I have to leave or you have to leave, I start counting down the days until I can see you again. Jim you make me so so so happy." Duncan continued. "Fuck this is a lot, just be with me Jim. Please?"
Jim threw his arms around Duncan, pulling him into the tightest hug he could manifest and when he pulled back he pushed his lips up against his in an effort to not start crying in front of all these people.
"Duncan I-," but Jim couldn't even finish his sentence before he hung his head low, arms still wrapped around Duncan's neck.
"There you guys are!" Jim's sister, Medina shouted as walked over to the two. "We've been looking for you guys for a while." Duncan drew his attention away from an emotional Jim, to smile over at Medina.
"You just told him didn't you?" she questioned, smiling right back. When Duncan had landed in California a few days before he already knew what he wanted to tell Jim, but he was nervous and they had gotten so comfortable without their label, he didn't want to ruin that. So when the opportunity presented itself, he sat down with her and poured his heart out, to her, about her brother. She did nothing, but encourage him to go ahead and tell Jim how he was feeling. She wasn't going to let him know how crazy in love Jim was with him too. She wanted Jim to do that himself.
"You knew about this?" Jim snapped his head up to look around at his sister.
"I did."
"She did. She helped me, actually. This confession probably would have been waaaay worse had I not sat down and talked it out with Medina." And for a moment, Jim let go of Duncan, throwing his arms around his sister and lifting her up off the ground in a bear hug.
"Why are you so good to me?" Jim asked her.
"Remember when all we had was each other?" she asked back. "Everyone deserves a shot at happiness Jim and you helped me find mine, so why not bring you closer to yours, hm?" Jim chuckled as he put her back down, giving her boyfriend, Calvin, a fist bump before returning his attention back to Duncan.
"Duncan, I love you too. I'm in love with you." Jim breathed out quickly before his tears could catch back up to him. "And I have so much more to say, but I'm trying so hard not to cry. For a fucking brick wall at times you sure are a tear-jerker. And be yours? I was already yours, Duncan. In my heart, I was already yours. No one was ever going to take me away from you."
"Picture pleaseeeeeee." Medina squealed as she took her phone out of her backpack. "This is too good of a moment to not capture on camera."
"Think you can hold your tears back one more time for a photo, boyfriend?" Duncan questioned, Jim's heart fluttering at the word.
"Shit, I don't know, but it has to be quick." Jim said, a mixture of laughter and a cry. "Because it's coming."
"Jim?" Duncan called out, pausing his thrusts as he held onto Jim's hips. "Why are you crying? Am I hurting you? Do you need me to stop?"
"God, no, Duncan." Jim said. "Keep going. Please. You make me so so so happy." Those words alone were enough for Duncan to realize that he and Jim were thinking about the same memory. And with our further question and without pulling out, he flipped Jim over, so that he was now on his back.
"Just like old times, huh, ocean eyes?" Duncan asked Jim, biting his lip at him. The familiar nickname gave Jim goosebumps. The moonlight illuminated the both of them to each other perfectly, casting shadows around the rest of the apartment.
"Mhmmmmm." was all Jim could get out before Duncan kissed him, slowly, tenderly, and sloppily as he slowly began to move himself in and out of him. Jim's hands tangled their way into Duncan's hair as the kiss deepened and so did Duncan's movements. He took long, deep, and slow strides in and out of Jim, wanting him to feel each and every one of them. They whispered sweet words to one another between their heavy breaths and moans.
Jim wrapped his legs around Duncan as his own pre-cum pooled and pooled against his stomach and he wanted nothing more than for Duncan to take him there again. Duncan took this as an invitation to speed up, moving a pillow behind Jim's head so that it wasn't slamming into the headboard. It was messy now, erratic, Duncan's movements. The both of them were struggling to keep themselves together, struggling to keep each other together with how good they felt. Jim clawed everywhere, especially at Duncan's hips, in an attempt to pull him right back into him when he would thrust out.
"Right there... right there... right there." Jim moaned every time Duncan slammed into his spot and before he knew it, he was coming undone underneath Duncan, hands free. Duncan noticing, grabbed Jim's cock pointing it upwards so that it painted him instead of Jim, stroking him fast as an aid. Duncan's name left Jim's mouth repeatedly as he let go, gripping at Duncan's thighs as hard as he could to stop himself from shaking uncontrollably.
The sight alone was enough to send Duncan over the edge and threw his head back, moaning out Jim's name in return as he pushed all the way in, holding himself there, releasing all of himself deep inside of Jim. He rode out his orgasm before pulling out. He was going to grab for a towel when Jim yanked him back down on the bed, climbing on top of him. He slowly trailed his tongue across Duncan's chest, getting up every last bit of himself.
"Faster clean up." Jim mumbled against Duncan's lips before laying against him all together. Duncan pulled the covers up over them before wrapping his arms around Jim, when Jim heard him sniffle. "Are you crying now?"
"No." Duncan said, obviously lying.
"Uh huh.." Jim said propping his head up on Duncan's chest to look at him. "I love you."
"I love you too. But, um, above moving in with me once I get one of those houses; would you?"
"Of course. If it means that I don't have to go a couple months without seeing you, then of course." Duncan smiled, kissing Jim on his forehead.
"Never have to worry about that again."
"Good..." Jim mumbled, beginning to doze off. Within a few minutes, Duncan found himself asleep, right along with him. Home.

STAR WARS REBELS: THE GHOST'S SAGA CHAPTER 1
Tumblr media
Before you read this little piece I've written, I must say that this is my first time EVER writing something for STAR WARS... Well, writing something for anything, really... In any case, I would love to get some constructive criticism, so that I may write better literary pieces in the future.
What you're about to stop reading is the complete series of Star Wars told with a focus on the Ghost Crew. So basically, I'll write down the episodes of the TV Show, what happens between each episode and what happens after SW Rebels ends. I really hope you enjoy and buckle up for a looooong journey.
Disclaimer - Keep in mind that I sadly don't own STAR WARS. As much as I want to... I hope you enjoy this story and tune in for later episodes. Self-made or Adaptation.

Chapter 1: The Machine in the Ghost
The ghost soured through the vast emptiness of space. The ship and its crew seemed to be on the run. In a matter of seconds, a group of 4 TIE fighters came after them, shooting but either missing most of their shots or hitting the ship's rare shield. One of the pilots was successful in hitting the back of the Ghost but the shots that landed didn't do any damage. The shields were still fully operational.
The green skinned twi'lek woman behind the controls of the Ghost seemed rather upset, looking at the stats in front of her and saying, "Kanan, we have a small situation here. If you care to blast some of those TIEs out of the galaxy, I don't think anyone would miss object." In a rather sarcastic tone. The twi'lek wore a typical pilot's outfit with a pair of goggles and headphones. Her C1-series astromech droid standing next to her silently. He would usually act as a co-pilot or repairperson for the Ghost. He had an orange paint job that looked dated and quite frankly, decomposing. A lot of wear and tear on its outer shell.
"Working on it, Hera!" A voice said from within the ship's halls. The voice belonged to a young man. He was tumbling his way to the top turrets. His hair was long. Long enough for him to tie into a pony tail. He sported a goatee and a greenish yellow long sleeved shirt. There was some armor on his left hand and shoulder. "It's not like you gave me a lot of warning..." Kanan complained as he ran through a door and climbed the ladder that had appeared in front of him.
"Oh, as I recall, raiding an Imperial supply convoy was your plan love." Hera said with a smug tone. Kanan had reached the turret triggers by now. As he started prepping for shooting, he exclaimed "Well, it made sense at the time!" The young man was trying to justify his decisions and tactics. A few shots were fired with no results... As two TIE fighter were doing a circular maneuver to damage the Ghost's shields some more, Kanan was able to shoot one of them down. The TIE was exploded into a thousand piece, bringing a grin on the young man's face.
The Ghost crew's attempts to keep the shields up failed as two shots hit the hull of the ship. The shield controls went up in flames, sparks flying. "Shields down... Chopper, fix them!" The Twi'lek woman ordered her droid. "Okaaaaay, I'll fix them!" The droid exclaimed mellow dramatically with his beeps and bops. The TIE fighters were shooting non-stop, even though, they failed to even land a single shot. Chopper used his extinguisher to put the fire out. Kanan was still struggling with hitting the fast TIEs swirling around their ship. The result of that being more damage to the ship.
"Kanan, what part of blast them did you not understand?" The twi'lek said while feeling the trembles going through the ship. "Kanan?..." She asked again. "Kanan, do you read?" She awaited his response but after a few seconds of silence, she figured that... "Internals comm's out..." She sounded frustrated. "Chopper! Go back to comm control and fix it." The twi'lek said with urgency in her voice. "Fixing Shields!!!" Chopper replied. Hera rolled her eyes and continued. "I know you're fixing the shields but I need the comm operational to coordinate our attack!" She tried explaining the situation to her droid while working the controls above her head, trying her best to keep them alive. "Now go, before I pull your battery." She threatened him through gritted teeth (And she was NOT joking).
"Son of a..." Chopper slammed his head multiple times against the shield console. He kept grumbling while moving through the cockpit's door. "And while you're back there, tell Kanan to PLEASE, hit something!" Hera said with frustration being apparent in her tone. They were under heavy fire. It wasn't a new situation for them but somehow, they always ended up doing some sort of back and forth banter. Throwing sarcastic remarks or justifying their actions to each other was a daily part of their lives by now. Chopper finally arrived at the top turret's ladder, knocking on it furiously. "Knock! Knock! Knock! Knock!" Chopper said in an attempt to get Kanan's attention. "A little busy, CHOP!" The young man exclaimed. A few more blasts of energies were fired and another TIE fighter was turned to dust. Kanan suddenly realized what had happened and continued. "Wait, what are you doing back here?! Shouldn't you be fixing the shields?!" He inquired. "Fixing the comms then the shield." Chopper answered. Kanan's eyes went wide and he looked down at Chopper. "Did you say you're fixing the comm?!" The man behind the turrets fired a few more shots and looked at chopper once more.
"I don't need to talk to Captain Hera right now! Get back up there and fix the shields!" Kanan yelled while pointing his finger to the cockpit. "Ughhhhh! Make up your minds..." Chopper shook his head and rolled back to the cockpit. "Oh yeah, and when you see Hera, tell her to fly better." The sly remark flew out of the young man's mouth accompanied with some frustration. BAM! Another tremble was felt throughout the ship as chopper arrived, delivering Kanan's request. "Kanan said to... Flyyyy better." Hera gave a frustrated chuckle and exclaimed. "Oh-ho-ho. He said that, did he?" Chopper popped his mechanical arms from the sides of his head and started shaking them in a feat of panic. "Oh no... Nooooo. Noooooooooo!!!" Before he could react, Hera started pulling up the Ghost, making Chopper fly across the cockpit and hit a wall. "Oh great, there goes another scratch..." Chopper thought to himself. For a droid, he was pretty expressive.
"Woah!" Kanan's eyes went wide. He did NOT expect that... Although, he should have. After all, he knew her well enough to expect a retaliation of sorts to his snarky remark. She had a big grin on her face. "Do I have to do EVERYTHING myself?" She said while activating the frontal targeting systems. The captain fired a few more shots, eliminating one of the two remaining TIE fighters in the process. "Just reduced Kanan's targets by half. Tell our fearless leader he should be able to handle one lone TIE fighter on his own." Hera said, giving a sarcastic remark of her own. "Are you kidding me?! I'll just do it myself for you, IDIOTS!!!" Chopper yelled, hitting his head multiple times with his mechanical arms. He would be exploding from anger if that was a thing, droids could do.
Hera shook her head, realizing what Chopper had said in her response. "What was THAT?!" She had a sort of growl in her voice. Chopper rolled past the top turrets' ladder, using it to give himself a bit of a boost as he slid past a secondary door. Kanan's jaw dropped and his eyes nearly popped as he watched their droid roll. "Chopper! Chopper, where are you going?!" He yelled. Annoyed and shocked. Chop finally passed a final door to arrive at the rear turrets. "Come to Choppa." He said with a digital smirk registering in his circuits, grabbing the turret controls and firing his shots at the last remaining TIE. After a few misses, he finally achieved his goal. The last TIE fighter exploded into smithereens and Chopper beeped and bopped arrogantly. "Go Chop! Go Chop! Go Chop! Go Chop!" He celebrated his achievement while rolling back to the cockpit. He was thinking about a reward. "I can ask for anything... I can even..." His thoughts were caught short when he heard his owner congratulating her "HERO" instead of him. "Alright... I'll admit it. That was some fine shooting."
Kanan replied with a slight flirtatious tone. "Thanks. You too." Chopper strode into the cockpit. Kanan's face was mere inches away from Hera. His hand was slowly reaching for her hand and it was pretty obvious to Chopper that he was about to go for a kiss. Hera had a smirk on her face with a raised eyebrow. She liked it when he complimented her. Chopper was about to blow a scanner over how stupid this all was! He needed to reveal who the REAL hero was. "You think that last TIE exploded all on its own?!" Kanan's eyes slowly opened and awkward smile crept its way onto his lips. He looked at Hera who was looking at him. They looked at each other for a second, no intimacy or alone time yet... They felt a tad bit disappointed at that fact. Kanan continued "Just Kidding, Chop." He placed his hand on Hera's back for a split second before she continued. "We know you got that last one." She patted the droid's head and said. "Good work." Chopper felt his pride circuits were getting some proper attention. "Noooo probleeem." Kanan sat in the co-pilot's seat and ordered. "Now get that comm fixed." Hera joined him and sat next to him before continuing where he left off. "And the shields. Don't forget the shields." She emphasized on her point. Chopper had enough. He pulled one arm out and shook it in a sassy fashion. "Naaaahhh, fix them yourselves!" Kanan and Hera turned around, eyes wide and appalled by Chopper's response. Both saying "What was that?!" At the same time. Kanan raised an eyebrow, rolling around as they made the jump to Hyperspace.

Now, now, I know. I know this isn't original. I'm literally just turning an episode into a fanfiction chapter. Don't worry, I'm not gonna just copy this stuff. I just want to add some secret narrative to episodes. Plus, I'll cover all the in-betweens. So don't worry about it. Next episode is gonna be about how a CERTAIN Mandalorian came to meet our lovely couple. So, we have an official being told through words then a self-made episode by yours truly.
MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU
