You can enjoy whatever you want. I’m not saying you can’t like your fantasies or traditional dynamics but referring to one party as the female and one as the male in a relationship where both parties are male feels weird. It’s like straightwashing a gay relationship.

Regarding to my latest post I have received several mixed feedbacks, which I think are from 2 people only.
1/ To the second anon: I have a vague guess who you are and honestly I think all asks sent to me from the day I joined Tumblr have been always from you and I FUCKING LOVE YOU GIRL!!!! I made sure to answer all of your asks with care and effort!!! (all my drawings aren't just 5 min doodles. They took time)
2/ To the first anon: first thank you for reaching out to me not only once, but twice! Now I can safely say that there are at least 2 people actually reading my ghost blog (and it's kinda flattering to know!!!) however after your second reasoning I start to think there is a misunderstanding here!
Looks like anon is unhappy with my wording. I quoted my words ok: "I dead set Mello as the male in Meronia relationship so I've never imagined him as a female". And anon's words: "Referring to one party as the female and one as the male in a relationship where both parties are male feels weird. It’s like straightwashing a gay relationship".
Did I ever refer in my post that Near is the female in a gay relationship? It's simply your quick assumption. Fyi I ship Male!Mello with Male!Near, fem!Near, asexual!Near, non-binary!Near, trans!Near and I can even send you a list of fanfics/fanarts recommendation why I like these relationships and how they fit Near. The reason why Mello always stays as male in my mind is because social media fails to give me a good example on how Mello could be a female. I need to visualize everything before I like it yk. And there's no good enough fanarts of fem!Mello for me to picture her (as you can see I failed at delivering her drawing, most of her face was covered). On the other hand, lately there have been a few good fics about fem!Near plus I was sent a lot of amazing fem!Near fanarts so it's easier for me to draw her as I already have an example how she is. With fem!Matt, I took my own personal image to draw her because I find myself and her have a lot in common! All of these I stated clearly in my posts and I simply drew their appearances (I didn't discuss their roles in the relationship. And I know the correct terms in a gay relationship are "the top" and "the bottom", not "the male" and "the female" - and I used my words correctly). If you want to press more about their gay roles then my answer is that I have no problem with shipping Mello as "the top" or "the bottom" or a mix, as long as the writing is good.
Let's take more examples so we have a clearer look about this: I have 2 other ships Axel x Roxas (from Kingdom Hearts II) and USxUK (from Hetalia).
With Axel x Roxas: I dead-set both of them as males ok. Because again there are no fanfics and fanarts about their female versions that are up to my expectation (so the most I can do is draw them in crossdressing, not even a vague female image as Mello)
With USxUK: it's the opposite, both of them have a wide range of amazing female fanarts and fanfics so I have no problem picturing them as females in my head (and can draw them out easily)
So I am afraid there is no "straightwashing a gay relationship" here *shrugs* it's all about personal preferences and experiences with social media's materials!
I hope this makes sense and I don't wish to continue this further. It's getting too long and there is no point in replying back and forth between only 2 parties. Without any further outside opinion this is highly subjective imo!

A Gentleman's Guide to Pregnancy and Parenting - Chapter 1
Summary:
Arthur J. Kirkland is a world famous author, known for his fantasy books. Newly married to his wife, Amelia Jones, they plan to have a child soon. After doing research, Arthur discovered that there aren't many parenting books focused on how a husband should act. He decided to write his own. A Gentleman's Guide to Pregnancy and Parenting follows Arthur though his wife's first pregnancy, and the first year of their parenting lives. This story is written as if it was the actual book. Arthur tells the stories of all the events that happen within these 2 years the story plays out, and his feelings towards them.
This first chapter is about Arthur's experience with Amelia telling him she's pregnant, as well as a bit of background.
From day one of our marriage, my wife made one thing perfectly clear. She always alluded to it several times on several dates. When we were going to bed, she often curled up close to me and mumbled some bizarre sentences about what it would be like to have one of her own. I knew what I was getting into. Amelia wanted to have children.
Ever since my younger brother was born, I never wanted to take care of another child. Especially a baby. All they did was poop and cry, eat a bit, cry some more, and sleep. How were the bloody things so appealing to women? When you get pregnant, it's literally having a life form growing inside of you. You don't know anything about it, but you let it go. You let the thing make you look like an inflating balloon for 9 months, then endure an insane amount of pain to, technically, poop it out. And people love these things!
Whenever Amelia spoke of having children, I tended to almost ignore it. She talked about names, what they would look like, even what they would wear. Her tablet would be filled of pictures of random babies she found on the internet that vaguely resembled what our child would look like. You could say she was obsessed with having children. She loved the idea of having one of those bothersome things. But, I couldn't make her unhappy. You should never leave your wife unhappy, especially if you promised her the world. So, reluctantly, I agreed.
The moment she walks into your study as you're filling yet another magazine interview (containing questions you answered at least 5 times before) is scarier than having to tell your parents you're getting a divorce. She has that bittersweet look in her eyes. She leans up against the door frame, her arms crossed. Just by her appearance, you can tell something is wrong. You look up from your computer. Out of nowhere, she pulls out the dreaded stick that tell your fate. And before you know it, she begins to speak.
“Artie Bear, I'm pregnant.”
She wasn't the type to beat around the bush. She knew I liked to head the point first thing. I didn't like any buttering up. But this would've been one of those moments I would've loved to have some of the filler information. I looked her dead in the eye as she spoke. Once she finished, I remember closing my laptop and walking up to her. She stepped back, looking a bit afraid. She later told me she was afraid I was going to yell. But, I didn't. I quietly pecked her lips, taking the test and smiling, I spoke to her quietly.
“We'll need to plan the nursery, won't we?”
Her face lit up, as she cupped my cheeks and pulled me into another kiss. She seemed so glad I wasn't screaming. I knew I couldn't, or she would cry. I don't like to see a woman cry. They look so helpless when they do.
When I was young, I always told everyone I wouldn't have kids. I always thought they were bloody annoying. But the smile on my wife's face as I accepted this major challenge seemed to make those negative thoughts escape my mind. I was excited. I was going to be a father for the first time in my life. A role I never thought I would be taking on.
But, before I knew it, all she talked about was babies. Names, clothes, colors. She said what names she wanted for a girl, what names she wanted for a boy. She even thought about if we were going to have twins, hat we would name them! As much as I was excited to have kids, I didn't want to think about twins! Twins meant twice the poop, twice the diapers, and twice the cost! But, I couldn't help but smile at the joy in her eyes when she spoke. She had told all of her friends and family within the first week, and calls from her older brothers were constant. And by the end of the first month, I was ready for all of it to be over.

I imagined her to jump down her airship and literally fall on him.  Best first encounter ever. (?)
