Naming Conventions

Wolf names in the pack consist of two part, a prefix and a suffix.

A prefix can be almost anything from the natural world. A plant, an animal, a color, a rock, you name it. A wolf will have the same prefix their entire life.

A suffix works a little differently. Generally, a suffix can be an action, a body part, or some parts of nature. It is unlikely that a wolf will be named Fernleaf, for example, but they could be named Fernwhisper.

There are two special suffix, -pup and -moon.

The suffix -pup is age specific, and makes up the second half of a wolf’s baby name. When a wolf reaches one year of age, they drop the -pup at the end of their name and take on their adult name, as described above. Puppies are generally not named until they wean, at which time they begin their early training.

-moon is exusive to lead wolves. When a wolf becomes leader, regardless of their age, they drop whatever their current suffix is and adopt -moon. If Fernwhisper were to become leader, their new name would be Fernmoon. This particular choice is because the wolves of the Yellow Moon Pack hold the moon and it’s name to be sacred, thus the role of leader is both politically and spiritually significant.

I LOOVEEE WOLFQUEST SO MUCH IT IS THE BEST GAME EVER my favorite map ever I think has got to be Lost River (even if my computer wants to die everytime i open that map LOL). I'd been waiting for the updated version of the map ever since they announced it and when it finally came it was ABSOLUTELY worth the wait. I think even back in Classic it was my favorite.

for my favorite wolf- I actually have 3 faves. firstly there's Fog; she's the wolf I see the most of myself in, and the one I've used the most when playing with my friends.

and then I've got River; she was my main wolf I had in Classic that I remade in AE! So she's one I've technically had around the longest, even though I didnt get around to remaking her in AE until fairly recently.

and lastly there's Fernwhisper! She was I believee one of the first wolves I made in AE! And yes her name is warrior cats based LOL. It was a name I had been considering for my main warriors sona but had decided against it, instead making it this wolfos name. I imagine she's the sweetest out of these 3.

and for age perks; yes! Though I haven't gotten any to age 8, the highest I've gotten is 5. I really want to get an iron wolf to age 8 someday though! my current ironwolf is Cloudy here
