My issue is what if you prefer song 1 but prefer photoshot set 2? Never mind you can't check out the songs beforehand.
right! it would be frustrating to pick one based on the cover but then find out that a different bonus song is actually a new absolute favourite and you now can't listen to it even though you've bought a deluxe edition of the album.
I really think folklore was the best method to get a balance for taylor's desire for sales and still making fans happy — it was a bit annoying having a bonus track that was initially on physical copies only, but at least it was possible to listen to the complete album in one, and obviously all the design variations were excessive but they were purely a case of picking your favourite design (or buying a few if you wanted to collect). but unfortunately I feel like every time one sales tactic goes well she'll push it further which ultimately takes away from the listening experience and the consideration for fans :/

I love the TV era but it's starting look all the same. Folklore looks diferent but the photoshot for Evermore, Fearless and Red all kinda feel like tha same. And production in the songs too (for the from the vault). Idk maybe i'm crazy but i think all the new covers and songs are starting to look all like each other.
So I feel relatively mixed about this.
I agree that the photoshoots all have similar vibes, but to be honest I get the impression that Taylor may have done all the photoshoots alongside the Evermore one back when she was being safer about the coronavirus and travelling/interacting with people less and I both appreciate and understand that.
I heavily disagree that the vault tracks sound similar production wise though. Like in my personal opinion, the RED vault tracks perfectly encapsulate both the variety of genres Taylor dipped her toes into for RED, but also the sound of the time both in terms of country and pop songs. Like I'd be surprised to hear any major changes were made from what she would have originally released them as production wise in 2012. And tbh, when it came to Fearless, one of the things that took some time to grow on me was how different each of the vault tracks were.
But yeah, that's obviously just my opinion and it's fair enough that you feel differently.
