I'm very happy to announce that on Thursday, February 13th I'll be returning to The Coffee House in Edison, NJ to give tarot card readings from 6pm-9pm. Until further notice I'll be there once a month on the second Thursday of each month. Since Valentine's Day is just around the corner, I'll be encouraging questions about relationships and love, although I'll answer questions on any subject. My sessions there are often quite busy and I recommend booking in advance if you want to ensure you'll be seen at a certain time. To do that or to ask further questions please contact me directly. This past Friday, July 30th, marked the day the iconic @vintagevinylnj closed its doors for good after 42 years. I was unable to drive down there. Then again, after having recently seen pictures of the place as barren, bare bones, something I'm certainly not accustomed to seeing, the thought of that probably would've deterred me from going anyway. That was just depressing. While the owner simply retired and didn't want to sell (that was fucked up), it's a fucked up reminder that record shops are few and far between. So if you live near a record store and you truly GIVE A SHIT about music, please support that place. I recently found my Vintage Vinyl discount card, which broke in half after years of being connected to my keychain, yet the barcode was still scannable because the break ends just shy of where the code begins. Also in this post is Death's groundbreaking 1991 Death Metal masterpiece, Human, the very first CD I bought from Vintage in January 2005. As I've said in a few other posts over the years, I'd go on to spend way more money in Vintage than I ever had any business spending over the next fifteen years. When I'd bring friends, band members and fuck buddies to the store they all tell me the same thing: "fuck you for bringing me here - I don't have any money!" No regerts. Until further notice, I'll be there the first Friday of every month, except March, due to a personal commitment. Cai's is a lovely space located right in the heart of Main Street Metuchen. I should be upstairs and in plain sight.
