you know, i often think about herobrine and his name, because lets be honest even for eldritch being standards it sounds so out of place when you examine it a bit more. my european ass doesnt think that even the whitest american soccer moms would call their child hero fucking brine

not only we can consider it the most amazing power move in history, to change your name to this after transitioning (after all we support our trans icon) but also i feel like we often can play a bit more with characters personality

it seems to be divided into two parts it being ‘hero’ and ‘brine’. first off, why would he call himself a hero in the first place, when hes mostly portrayed as the villain in minecraft world?? perhaps its just simply his way of thinking, he sees himself as the hero of his own story, of the world he seemingly has no boundaries in. i mean who wouldnt? maybe thats why hes often wary of players, its like they are ruining his world, arriving uninvited. it really does show his ego too

then theres brine, a word so uncommon i had to look it up because my english isnt that advanced. brine immediately makes you think of the sea doesnt it? which in turn makes me compare it to the fandom interpretation of hero, where hes often seen as the ruler of the nether/a guy that regularly uses fire powers and willingly swims in lava etc etc. for me? it honestly brings such a fun contrast to work with!

imagine hb, a bordeline god associated by villagers and pillagers alike with fire and lava, one of the most destructive elements in their world (which honestly suits him doesnt it?). and hero absolutely rolls with it. like hell yea i swim in liquified magma every morning, what about it?? being typically the show-off that he is you can imagine how extra he can get with it

but even then.... surrounded by all of the burning elements hes so associated with, herobrine cant stop thinking about the ocean. the melody of the sea is so mesmerizing to him, the sound of waves crashing by the coast or gently flushing by the beach. and the sea life is so beautiful - from fishes to coral reefs. if he were to make himself build a cozy home to live in you bet it would be by the isolated beach, where he can be alone and by the water he treasures so deeply. he could go fishing or swimming, he could make a little farm nearby and leave some seeds for the chickens and parrots around. the salty taste of sea water would be so refreshing to him every morning... brine could just.... relax once in his lifetime
