k k k so i'm gonna start on my soldier poet king au, do you still wanna collab? If so, then we can figure out what we'd like to do w/ outfits and roles (I already have my pose and bg in mind.)

But, I also noticed you're really into the Roadtrip prompt, and with the time we have--so sorry btw--if you only feel like you can really do one that's fine too. That's not to deter you from anything of course! I've just done the thing with ship weeks where I've wanted to do a lot more than I actually could.

So, whatever you want to do I'm fine with! Just lmk and I'll start the art piece whenever.

*incredibly sad sigh* i genuinely really really really want to collab because it sounds super fun, but knowing how i am with deadlines, i unfortunately doubt that i'd be able to hold up my end/the fic end of the collab while still doing the roadtrip fic. but knowing how sensational your art is, i'll probably find myself writing something to go along with your finished piece because. like. c'mon. i already know it's gonna make me go apeshit /pos and it'll probably give me a lot of inspiration-fuel :)

can't really say much about the story for now...things seem pretty happy and i can be sure it will NOT stay that way.

So this is from a few weeks ago, when the DIY punk group destroyed a Denny’s. When you say DIY do you mean ‘do it yourself’ like, crafts? People who make punk,,, crafts tore up a Denny’s or does DIY stand for something else

jkglfd;shgjhrietehjgfdal okay i’m going to give you a real answer too but first of all i am LOSING MY MIND over the idea of a bunch of like. pinterest craft moms going apeshit on a denny’s holy shit that is so fucking funny

“DIY” in the context of the Denny’s incident refers to an artistic and cultural movement. rather than allowing industry professionals/labels/corporations/big business to take advantage of your art, talent, time, and resources to make themselves money, you simply do whatever they would have done yourself. example: you’re in a band. you want to reach an audience and play shows and record music, but you don’t have the money, connections, or “image” to get anywhere within the traditional music industry structure (i.e., signing to a label). so you decide to buy a bunch of secondhand gear off reverb, and record an EP in your friend’s bathroom. you mix it on your laptop with garageband, design an album cover with gimp (or just scan a picture your buddy drew or w/e), and slap the whole thing up on bandcamp. you burn a couple CDs to give to people if they want them. now say you want to play a show, because that’s the whole point of being in a band, but the house of blues isn’t gonna let a group of punk ass nobodies play on their stage, so you shlep all your secondhand gear over to your friend’s basement while their parents are out of town, or over to a warehouse downtown that’ll let you rent their space for cheap, and you call all your other friends who are also in bands and ask if they want to play with you because then you can divvy up the cost between more people. you make flyers and make like 100 copies of them at the library, or maybe you just make a post on your insta about it, and people have to DM you for the address because technically the warehouse you rented isn’t up to code for hosting public performances and the cops will def shut you down if they find you out. you charge like five bucks at the door and make it a BYOB thing. you play to a crowd of maybe twenty or so people, and you sound like shit because your gear sort of sucks and your sound guy is actually just whoever’s in the sweet spot of most musically inclined and least stoned out of the group. you all scrape together just enough cash to pay the warehouse and get del taco after.

DIY is the life blood of the punk and queer communities. it gives people who otherwise would have a hard time getting their art seen and their voices heard a platform that they can control and it’s a really, really great thing

Hello Prince, I hope your day's going well! If you don't mind me asking: when you like a character, do you usually ship them with a specific 2nd character, or do you like to explore other possible combinations? E.g. you like SasoDei, but do you also enjoy other some ships involving Deidara?

oh yeah i typically multi ship. i think what happens is there’s just usually one pairing that completely infects my brain and sucks up any free time i have so the other ones i like just never get a chance to be drawn. like i looooove deihida! i’m apeshit for deihida, i talk abt it w my friends all the time. but you’d never know it bc whenever i have free time i draw sasodei instead lol. or some i like just fine but i never actually think abt it. like kakudei is funny and aesthetically nice but i’m not actually Invested, yknow.

(i hate tobidei and itadei i’m sorry fkdlflflfg unpopular opinion i know but you’re never gonna see it from me if that’s why u were curious. no real reason they’re just not for me)
