➞ angst, one sided love

➞ side characters, at times they bring more light to the show then the mcs themselves. how are the 6 guys of oneus as side characters that likes the fl?

note:

mc - main character

fl - female lead

ml - male lead

warnings: constant switching between stage name and real name, overly possessive mls, terrible fls, sad oneus

ravn:

the pretty boy type

i mean look at him and tell me he doesn't fit this trope

this type of side character is too pretty to be one. many would even argue that he looks better than the ml. he is also portrayed as somewhat vain and plain out confident in his looks

as this is youngjo, he doesn't come out as cocky. he really should be confident because he has the looks to match

so girls (and some boys) confessing to him weren't that much of a surprise. whats surprising however is the fact that not once had he accepted their confessions

people would try to solve the mystery between ravn and his muse but alas it was a mystery better left unsolved

his muse comes in the form of the fl. same neighborhood, same schools all their lives but there was never a chance for them to get close

and his only notable appearance in the fl and ml's story was the time a pissed off ml had punch youngjo to warn the others who stares far too long at the fl

that day ravn didn't knew what hurt more; his face, his ego, or his heart

deep inside that wasn't his concerns. he simply hoped that he wouldn't see fl's scared expression ever again

but how was he to know when the ml used his parents' influence to drive ravn away?

seoho:

the comic relief type

this type of side character has a life where its basically treated as a comedy. whether or not he's doing things intentionally, it will always be treated as a joke and yes it includes him feeling actual pain

seoho had liked his life where he could make everyone smile

he hated seeing sadness or frustration clouding a person and even if he isn't close to them, he tries his best to cheer them up

and while there are times it brings so much humiliation for seoho, their smiles are more than enough

that was what he had thought before he met fl

the fl was the apple of his eyes and that one thing that makes everything better

yet...

why was she laughing at him?

why was she not laughing with him?

how come she never takes him seriously?

he had tried so hard to change his approach or demeanor for even just a second of her stopping with that sneering look but it never happened

he was treated as a joke, he is just a joke for her

but at least she's smiling — he had tried to reason out with himself

true enough if he was in some romcom, a laugh track would insert itself as he was hurting

seoho was there for everyone but who was there for him?

leedo:

the caring type

he looks scary but we all know that isn't the case

this type of side character is just so nice and caring. they might not outwardly say they care but by their actions you could tell that they do

gunhak seriously looks unapproachable but the way he smiles and moves, it erases all the prejudice you had at first glance

that and maybe because he works with children

(yes its kindergarten teacher! leedo time)

parents had thought that their kids would have feared him but now he is their favorite teacher

listen he's just soft for the kiddos and the parents could see that

the fl is also a teacher there and her cubicle is even just across gunhak's

the way how he hovers the fl like some mother chick was not seen as suspicious. almost everyone got that same treatment

it seriously had hurt when the fl has just brushed off his efforts as him being nice. it wasn't that noticeable but he gave the fl more effort than he does to everyone else

though it didn't compare when fl got a boyfriend. it hurt really bad for leedo especially when he sees how well the ml treats her

that should have been him if only he had the courage

keonhee:

the loud type

not to be confused with seoho's

this type of side character is just loud. happy? he screams. sad? he screams. scared? he screams. surprised? he screams. basically screaming is almost his natural response

he tries to control his volume but seriously it is out of control

its a miracle that he still has friends that has no problem being out with him

keonhee is that loud

nearby his university was a cafe that he almost always frequent at

the food and drinks there were really his style... that and it was affordable for a college kid

what connection does that cafe have with the fl? she works there

originally keonhee had thought nothing much of the fl but when she pulled "oh, keonhee right? same order as last time?" he was gone

such simple thing and yet it had managed to steal his heart

that was the beginning of many more mixed signals from fl and keonhee naively thinking of it as a good sign

and then he had witnessed fl running up to ml's — a well known playboy if i may add — arms and kissing the living daylight out of him

fl was just being nice, he shouldn't have assumed

he cried himself to sleep that night

hwanwoong:

the "gay" best friend type

note: emphasis on the air quote ""

this type of side character is the fl's best friend. he is rumored to be gay — the fl herself thinks he's gay — but the truth is he is just one effeminate guy

and what was the problem of being more feminine? hwanwoong saw nothing wrong with it

unfortunately he has to deal with how people treats him with the assumption that he's gay

such a backward society. he could only imagine how much worse it is for those who are truly part of the lgbtq+

no wonder he became known as some social justice warrior... and truthfully it was quite a good distraction to reality

yes it deepens his gay rumors but it was a reasonable excuse for him to not see the fl and ml being lovey dovey with each other

his duo with fl turned into a trio but unlike her promises — and hwanwoong himself did knew better than to believe her — he was an outsider

maybe it was just wistful thinking when back then he believed she'd end up liking him back

even the ml isn't threatened by his presence and every day hwanwoong had hoped it wasn't that cause

maybe by then she'd realize that he too is a man in love

xion:

the ml's brother type

i apologize in advance for the dong twins enthusiast

this type of side character is the brother of the ml. him and the ml are typically seen bickering childishly but they in fact cares for each other

basically just dongju and dongmyeong being true siblings

growing up with his twin had meant a lot of shenanigans — good or bad who cares it was the two of them against the world

around middle school, they both had began having their own crowd and it even reached to high school

they were still brothers but it doesn't necessarily mean that they are close

enter fl. dongju had always told himself that he didn't trust fate but the day he met her he had hoped that they were fated for each other

unfortunately he didn't have that much chance to approach the fl. not only was it hard but it was also because he kept on hesitating

crushing on someone that badly was just new to him

but of course there is no happy ending here

dongmyeong had introduced fl as his girlfriend and the inferiority complex had really slapped xion on the face

he found himself constantly asking why that even he no longer remembers what he's been asking for

whether or not fate is real, it works quite mysteriously

oneus as ghost hunters

oneus m.list | navi

Ravn:

the calm one sat at the monitors almost the entire night.

“can you go fix the X camera?” “sure.” takes an hour to fix said camera because he got distracted by some shadows and went to investigate. forgot the camera is down and comes back with zero evidence and a story to tell.

knows what every device does and how it works even if it was just released.

will stop a session to take a selfie in the ‘aesthetic looking place’.

most confident about doing solos until he actually gets alone, then every little noise freaks him out.

“i am here.” “so am i. what now, buddy?”

bobbing his head in complete silence to confuse the ghosts into thinking he’s busy

always has gum

can find his way around anywhere at any time, even in the pitch dark.

whistles when leaving, gets into the vehicle, shuts the door, screams his lungs out.

Seoho:

blunt head trauma warning to any and all humans and spirits, he will throw his flashlight at you.

“what was that?” “the wind.” “no it wasn’t. something’s in here with us!” “no.”

can be so quiet out of fear that he vanishes and ends up halfway across the location with no clue how he actually got there or what happened.

super focused that the entire crew can clear out and leave him to do a solo and he’ll still capture the best evidence of the night.

“can’t we have one normal night?” “no.” “i wasn’t asking you!”

wearing heelies to get sick shots of the place. rolls away if something scary happens.

well known for running into glass, spider webs, and apparitions

reads everything word for word on the devices instead of making out a full sentence because ‘that’s just creepy’.

is shaking both because he’s cold and horrified.

“and now for my next trick, i will disappear very quickly.” runs away while yelling.

Leedo:

chugs water like it’s spirit repellent. has to have someone follow him to the bathroom because he’s too scared to go alone.

*itc word: demon* “as expected. i am now leaving.”

flexes his muscles when he’s intimidated but it’s under his shirt so no one knows but him.

hugs himself to get through the investigations.

if something runs up on him, he’ll storm back at it and it’ll be like a wild west standoff.

screams once every session and that’s it.

will lock himself into a dark space just to regain his dignity.

“whatever’s in here, leave!” the spirit leaves because leedo raising his voice is scary to anyone.

is really educated on the subject of ghost hunting and works on investigations systematically and by his own-made rules. very cautious but stern, hates hiccups in the technology, little patience for silly tricks. takes everything seriously until he sees one ghost up close, then he’s screaming his lungs out.

thinks ghost hunting is just a reality-based video game.

Keonhee:

loud crackling when he walks only because he’s hoarding snacks in his pockets. “what if a ghost locks me in somewhere and i get hungry?”

has a gnarly crystal collection he carries with him to haunted places for protection. hands them out before every investigation.

falls asleep on a teammates shoulder halfway through the session.

“can we be friends?” “i don’t see why not!”

punching the air to gain confidence but accidentally hits someone and feels bad.

“i didn’t ask to be here.” “oh, we are in the same boat right now, pal.”

has to take a break in the middle of every session to eat a full meal and regroup.

vulnerable to possession and knows it, he’s on constant alert.

flails his arms when he runs to exempt himself from any surrounding spirits trying to grab him.

always tells the spirits “if i could take you all with me, i would.” before he leaves.

Hwanwoong:

has to talk to himself during the entire experience or else he will lose his sanity.

his favorite part about being a ghost hunter is when they find nothing and just get to enjoy the space for the night.

“wow, this is really peaceful.” “hey.” “just my luck.”

has the best photography of every location. insane selfie game. ghost in the background. viral videos. overall legend to the ghost hunting community.

has at least ten portable chargers on him at all times so if anything goes out then he’s got backup.

pirouettes instead of running.

convinced he’s tough but hides behind everyone seconds into the investigation.

“help.” “the phone number you are trying to reach is currently out of service.”

genuinely feels bad that he can’t do more to help the spirits so he calls in backup to clear the space.

swears he’ll never go back but he always does.

Xion:

is just excited to be part of a ghost hunting team until he realizes he’s in the middle of the haunted location doing an investigation, then true terror sets in.

drinks loads of energy drinks so he can stay awake all night and ends up making himself way too hyper-aware of everything.

“if i said i was ready for this occupation, i lied.”

thinks he sees shadow people. it’s usually his own shadow on the wall reflecting from the white lights behind the cameras.

“i don’t want to go in there.” immediately gets sent in there.

always has his camera recording his feet and not what’s in front of him. it’s also the first thing he drops when he jumps and runs away.

zero sense of a personal bubble. anyone around him is an immediate emotional support teddy bear.

catches the best evps when he’s the most scared, so he deals with everything he gets put through for the evidence.

“can we go now?” once every hour.

will cha cha slide the hell out.

oneus and their respective hogwarts houses

im not sure if this goes under scenarios but im curious on what hogwarts houses you would sort oneus into? i've seen a few but they're all so different!!! im curious on where you would put them all in, especially after seeing the to be or not to be story film yesterday 😄

☽. originally, i would have decline this request since it’s under headcanons. but i decided to give this a go since i thought this would be fun to try! do understand that this is just my opinion (❁´◡`❁) be sure to check out more in my masterlist if you liked this! requested: yes; anon word count: 1.2k words

[RAVN] — slytherin

Second choice: Hufflepuff

I think... this is a bit of a controversial take? Especially since it sounds unlikely for someone to fit into both Slytherin and Hufflepuff (plus, a lot of people would assign Youngjo to Slytherin without any room for doubt)

But the thing is, placing him in Slytherin would coincide with how he presents himself and what his overall vibe exudes

His roles as a producer/lyricist for the group and as the eldest member would give off this vibe that he’s all for ambition and meeting goals (might be the reason why people would think he’s ONEUS’ leader as well)

However, for that same reason that he is the eldest member is why I think he fits well in Hufflepuff as well

The rest of the members see him as a reliable person who takes care of each member, serving some sort of father-figure to the rest of them

He makes sure to check up on each of them, he isn’t afraid to shower each of them with affection, and he pretty much serves an important role to keep them all together (which can be attributed to the friendliness and loyalty traits associated with Hufflepuffs)

But overall, I think putting Youngjo in Slytherin will show everyone that being goal-driven and ambitious will not necessarily make you a bad person, so he’s pretty much a groundbreaker as a Slytherin (just like ONEUS as a group are in the scheme of K-Wave hehe)

[Seoho] — ravenclaw

Second choice: Slytherin

I don’t think... you can question this... Especially when you know that almost everyone in ONEUS have discussed how unique Seoho’s way of interpreting everything around him is

Being unique in ideologies and methods is something notable among Ravenclaws, and the fact that he has genuine interest in learning (science in particular) is another manifestation of his being a Ravenclaw

Seoho also isn’t afraid to share what he knows too, you’ll often see him correcting the other members about scientific knowledge (and Ravenclaws are known to be the type of people who aren’t afraid to show others what they know)

In fact, Seoho likes to show off his skills and talents when he can

I feel like a lot of who he is is very grounded on the fact that he likes to learn and improve, so for me, assigning him as a Ravenclaw is very fitting

ALTHOUGH I do believe he’d fit well in Slytherin as well, not only because of his tendency to be a bit mischievous but also because he likes to think outside of the box (which could be interpreted as diversion from rules and the norm)

There are traits that can overlap with Ravenclaws and Slytherins, but I personally think he’d fit better under Ravenclaw

[Leedo] — gryffindor

Second choice: Hufflepuff

I know that by personality, Geonhak really exudes traits of a Hufflepuff

He’s kind-hearted, he loves the people around him, and he’s quite domestic as a person (a homebody, a good cook, among others)

However as demonstrated by several characters in the Harry Potter series, even if people can depict traits from various houses, assigning them to particular houses will help them flourish as individuals

I believe that Geonhak in Gryffindor would help him develop more holistically, and assigning him there would coincide with his experience as an idol

Considering how much it hurt Geonhak to have his trust betrayed, you can tell how much he valued that in his relationships with other people (which for me, is a trait that would make him a Hufflepuff)

To be able to bounce back from that experience and join RBW (and consequently ONEUS) is a gamble in itself, and would definitely take a lot of courage and bravery to do

Assigning Geonhak to Gryffindor will help him get out of his comfort zone unlike keeping him in Hufflepuff

And seeing how much he has grown as an idol for taking that leap of fate is something that I believe depicts a true Gryffindor

[Keonhee] — hufflepuff

Second choice: Ravenclaw

This sunshine boy... Everything about him screams Hufflepuff :,)

Everyone in the group will always mention how soft-hearted Keonhee is, and how he’s the type to hype everyone up and lift up everyone’s mood

Keonhee himself prides in the fact that he carries such bright energy wherever he goes

His whole aura and vibe is just so friendly and homey so it’s hard to put him somewhere else;;;

BUT... I don’t think a lot of people discuss how smart Keonhee actually is??

He’s very good at remembering important milestones, as exemplified by the way he remembers dates related to ToMoons (and the ability to memorize things is a notable trait among Ravenclaws)

He’s very attentive to details and he’s pretty witty himself

Although comparing these traits, his being a Ravenclaw for me comes secondary to his being a Hufflepuff

It would seem fitting to put him an atmosphere where you know he will not only thrive in, but in a place he’s very much accustomed to

Just like Youngjo, I think assigning him in Hufflepuff will make him a groundbreaker too (so that people don’t see Hufflepuffs as only nice people

[Hwanwoong] — slytherin

Second choice: Gryffindor

I feel like it’s also the obvious choice to put Hwanwoong in Slytherin, but Gryffindor as a second choice might be a bit farfetched

Hwanwoong himself is very determined, ambitious, and he does seem like someone to me who is very goal-oriented

He also carries confidence in what he does, which is a notable trait among Slytherins

And his role as ONEUS’ main dancer also proves how capable he is as a leader

At that point, it’s seems obvious to put him as a Slytherin, but I did hesitate at first because I personally think he would fit as a Gryffindor as well

There’s something about Hwanwoong’s demeanor that strikes me as someone who’s chivalrous, many people who have met him have mentioned that he was very nice, respectful, and polite to people around him

While traits like these are things to be expected from everyone, I just believe that Hwanwoong really carries these traits wherever he go and to whomever he interacts with

He’s also quite determined, driven, and daring but ultimately, Slytherin would fit him best in my opinion

[XION] — hufflepuff

Second choice: Ravenclaw

By nature, I don’t see Dongju as anything else aside from a Hufflepuff

He’s a natural caretaker, he nurtures everyone around him and makes sure everyone is well taken care of

I’m not saying as if Hufflepuffs have to be friendly and very nurturing to be considered as one, but I want to connect it to how Hufflepuffs are known to be people who value loyalty and inclusivity

Everyone in WeUs can attest to the fact that Dongju has been naturally supportive and caring of everyone, and that’s probably the most conclusive evidence of assigning him to Hufflepuff

He’s also modest and humble, he admits that he’d rather take fewer lines in songs because he isn’t confident about his skills yet

But what made me believe that he could be in Ravenclaw as well is the fact that he’s very attentive to details (just like Keonhee to be honest)

He also depicts the willingness to learn about things around him, and if you keep up with his vlives, he offers very wise advice for someone his age

However, his traits as a Hufflepuff overpower all that, and putting him here will probably make him shine better as an individual
