Sometimes i forget that in tcw series the first time we're properly introduced to Rex we see him shoot a clone in the head on a hunch, smear eel blood on echo after he managed to kill said eel with a single shot, relentlessly hazes the shinies and enjoys himself a bit too much throughout it all

i don’t know if you’ve ever answered this but what got you into star wars? and what was the first fic you wrote about it, on ao3 or not?
I probably have at some point, but I'm sure its buried within the tumblr archives by now lol.
What first got me into star wars was my parents showing me all of the movies when I was like, 8 I think. i loved them. Then I found clone wars on cartoon network, and thought ahsoka was literally the coolest thing ever. I dressed up as her for Halloween waaay before anyone really knew who she was. I (really my mom) even put paint all over my face so I looked orange and had her markings.
I got tumblr when I started college, and though I didnt start off in the star wars fandom i started seeing some stuff there. I eventually went, whoa actually the clones are fun and compelling characters and this is deeper than I remember as a kid. Then I fell headfirst into the fandom and haven't climbed out lol.
The first star wars fic I wrote was Do No Harm, and I'm actually not totally embarrassed by the writing so I'll put it here. It's about Umbara from kix pov, right before and during the firing squad, because I was confused why a medic would be on an execution squad. This one actually isnt so Dogma friendly as I didnt actually like Dogma at all at this point
Funny how that turned out
Also I forgot Twitch is technically in this too! But I dont consider this his birthday because if you read it, his characterization changed a whole lot after this. The only consistency is his age, name, and ADHD. I had just wanted another character with ADHD to remind Kix of Hardcase for more angst. Later I needed a friend for Tup later, remembered this guy, and put him Protocol T10 after developing him a bit more. And today he is now my kih'baruur'ika.
