If the ask game is still open, AU where Bakugo gets dismissed as not being all that powerful by Todoroki and Yaoyorozu (because they're really far more OP than he is), causing him to stop bullying Izuku and challenge the recommendation students instead.
1- so Momo and Shoto place at the top of the quirk assessment ranking but Shoto only considers Momo a threat and Momo doesn't seem to consider anyone a threat, she isn't particularly scared by any of her classmates and she even thought Aizawa was bluffing, so she's not worried. Bakugo hears her tell Mina this when the girl asks Momo if Todoroki was serious about challenging her for the top spot at the end of class, or if he was flirting. (Momo figures its neither. It was indeed the former.) Bakugo inserts himself into the conversation and asks if she's worried about facing him. Momo is like ".... um, not really? We're all hero classmates." Todoroki adds: "And we all saw the ranking" so Bakugo has firmly forgotten Izuku.
2- Uraraka: That guy just totally blew you off? Should we say something?
Izuku: Absolutely not, this is better. Though, i hope Yaoyorozu and Todoroki are ok...
Uraraka: yeah i think they'll be fine. and if they're not, Aizawa will stop him again
3- With Bakugo so distracted by his two new oblivious rivals, he doesn't even question izuku having a quirk anymore, and never learns about ofa
4- Momo, on realizing at the SF that Bakugo is still serious about challenging her, begins to wonder what's up with that. But she does decide she's got to face bakugo head on, not just on a team with Todoroki, and is determined to make it to the match with him, beating out Tokoyami beforehand (she made a light grenade, and she was more confident because she was seen as a legitimate threat and also maybe thought about bombs because bakugo was yelling at her the whole time to win so he could beat her. she spends the time between their rounds trying to find and memorize a formula for a good extinguishing chemical.)
5- in contrast to Momo taking Bakugo seriously finally at the SF.... Todoroki does not. this infuriates Bakugo more, and he does actually reveal himself once hearing Todoroki ask Izuku if he was All Might's secret lovechild. Demands to know if thats the one reason Todoroki is taking Deku more seriously than him, because Bakugo sure as hell knows he's not All Might's bastard, having grown up with the kid. Todoroki is curious but when Bakugo makes it clear he will not be providing 'helpful' information to his 'enemy', Todoroki says he doesn't take Bakugo seriously because he reminds him of his father, and then grabs Izuku and leaves. Bakugo never quite hears the reason why that's such a bad thing, but he kinda figures there's baggage there, and also that if Todoroki is so dumb as to think Deku is somehow related to All Might, Bakugo really should focus on the real threat that is Momo, both for high ranking power but also intelligence and being class representative.

The 15 Greatest Wrestling Attires Of All Time
Tumblr media
One of the best things about playing a wrestling game is creating your own wrestler and designing their attire. Not only does a wrestler’s outfit choice individualize their own swag to the audience, but it becomes more iconic when you see attire changes at special events like “WrestleMania”. Whether your from Parts Unknown like Undertaker or
Growing up huge wrestling fans, we’ve seen some of the worst outfit choices in pro wrestling history so today we highlight the 15 greatest wrestling attires in WWE history.
15. Rey Mysterio Jr
The WCW Cruiserweight division had tons of different looks throughout there run but one of the most popular stars to come from that division was Rey Mysterio Jr. Him being an explosive high flyer was already cool to see but him changing his attire weekly with the pants & mask combo was a dope addition,
Tumblr media
14. Rob Van Dam
Mr. Monday Night RVD was the Bret Hart of ECW in terms of popularity but moveset not even close. What they did have in common was the customized Singlets they would rock. RVD had many memorable versions. One of our favorites for the Bones/Ying Yang he had during his Hardcore Champion run.
Tumblr media
13. Kurt Angle
The Olympic Hero Kurt Angle played off the American Flag color scheme and it worked his entire career. Various formats of Red, White & Blue, Kurt made this his signature look and his 1996 Gold medals completed the image.
Tumblr media
12. Kane
From the moment Kane arrived on the scene back in 97, His Black & Red attire known as “Demon Kane” was memorable for how he carried himself. Similar to his brother The Undertaker, Kane really gave zero fucks to the point he would even set people on fire
Tumblr media
11. Owen Hart
Like his brother Bret, Owen Hart utilized the Black & Pink color scheme. His attire was dope and usually stood out for the “King Of Harts” & “Slammy Winner” designs on the singlets.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
10. Harlem Heat
Booker T and Stevie Ray better known as Harlem Heat were an exciting tag team to watch in WCW.
In the era where tag team wrestling was prevalent, Harlem Heat had the moves, the music, and the attire to be a top in WCW. Whether it be their all Black or All Red attire, it would always be a surprise to see what they color they be wearing.
Tumblr media
9. Jimmy Hart
Jimmy Hart had Drip before it even had a name. Known for his Megaphone and colorful airbrushed Jackets, he made the manager role more popular with how involved he was.
Tumblr media
8. Ric Flair
Styling and Profiling, Ric Flair has few robes that pop up over and over again in his career, and the black-and-white robe that Flair wore for the bulk of his then-WWF run from 1991 to 1993 certainly ranks among the most recognizable.
Most of Ric Flair's iconic robes had recognizable, repeated patterns, but he also wore a few outliers that go beyond even the standard level of Flair bombast
Tumblr media
7. Sting
Sting was already standing out with his bright colored face paint and his blonde hair. But it was when he established his “Crow” Gimmick that It seemingly gave his character and career new life.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
6. Bret Hart
The Best There is, The Best There Was, and The Best There Ever Will Be, Bret Hart had everything you need to be the perfect wrestling. Hist attire stood out rocking the signature Hart Foundation Pink & Black Colorway but he took it to a new level. My Favorite was his 1994 Royal Rumble with the paint splashed.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
5. New World Order
In July 1996, The New World Order took over the WCW like a gang showing up in all black. Not only id they take no Shit from anyone, but it worked so well because the world was so use to seeing Hogan in red and yellow.
That color change in retrospect a transitional work, all the ingredients for the superstar version of Jay are there — the transcendent arrogance, the pop instincts, the unimpressed-to-the-point-of-boredom street-talk
Tumblr media
4. Shawn Michaels
The Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels is known for having an iconic Wardrobe. Whether it be a regular WWF Raw match or a WrestleMania main event, HBK had legendary attire for days.
His Texas styled hearts for Royal Rumble 97, or his Black/Green DX tights for IYH always kept you wondering what color way he’d choose next.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
3. Razor Ramon
Slick back hair, tooth pick, and gold chains with instructions to take good care of them during the match, Razor Ramon sold his Tony Montana gimmick was fun to watch because his ever changing gimmick. Seeing him night after night on Monday Night RAW in different attires made you question what color they would choose in certain video games.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
2. The Ultimate Warrior
Ultimate Warrior was known for his outrageous outfits. The man from Parts Unknown, His color choices made him look like a neon blur as he raced toward the ring. But the WWF Universe had never seen the Warrior make such a big deal out of one of his contests that he based his attire around it.
Tumblr media
1. Macho Man Randy Savage
I don’t think I need to go into detail on this one. Savage’s gear really spoke for him when he didn’t have a mic in his hand. It was loud, colourful and somehow managed to make sense for him, though if anybody else wore it they’d look like an idiot

brucenat + ragnarok
Yay! I just saw Thor: Ragnarok and, no surprise, I loved it! Definitely a good time. Top faves:
3. “Immigrant Song” should play whenever Thor does anything from now on.  2. Valkyrie’s swagger is everything to me. 1. brucenat references for days!
brucenat thoughts under the cut!
Hey Big Guy
Y’all, this one caught me right in the feels. Valkyrie calls him, “Big Guy”! Like, you guys! I am 100000000% sure that Hulk asked her to call him Big Guy. Just as I am 100000000% sure Hulk saw her — so strong, so whatever-Bruce-fanboys-about-when-he’s-following-her-down-the-hallway — and was immediately put in mind of that another strong, no bullshit warrior woman he trusts. Valkyrie and Natasha are very different, no doubt, but this movie makes it obvious that Bruce Banner is attracted to and in awe of strong women (I mean, we’ve known that since Betty, but it’s nice to have it reinforced).
So my question with this buddy-buddy relationship is how did it start? Obviously, Valkyrie found Hulk and brought him to The Grandmaster (he’s “her” champion). How did she get him there? I’m guessing, even if she could, if she’d used the shock collar on him then he wouldn’t have ever trusted her, ‘cause we all know Hulk and trust is a biggie. I’m guessing that she, very inebriated and an all-around badass, didn’t even get scared for a moment. She found his ship, walked right up to him, and pitched him the deal. He would be loved on this planet. He would be a winner. Maybe, mistrustful, he pushes. She pushes back. He likes that. And Hulk likes the sound of what she’s selling. He likes the sound of it a whole lot. And Valkyrie likes the big angry kid who can and will fight the world. She #getsit.
Go Be a Hero
I like the dramatic stakes this movie sets up for Bruce. He’s terrified that if he goes Hulk one more time he’ll never be himself again. He’s also clearly dismayed that Thor really wants him for what he can do as the Hulk, not for what he can contribute as Banner. That’s messed up, as he says, and he has every right to be put out about it. And yet when they’re on the Rainbow Bridge and nothing Valkyrie is doing seems to be working — what does Bruce choose? To go be a hero. To use the Hulk to save lives. Because that’s what a hero does, and that’s what Bruce does even at the highest possible cost. “Go be a hero” is a directive he’s reluctantly but clearly embraced. While he might have mixed feelings about being pushed down a well, by the time he reunites with Natasha Bruce should be mostly there when it comes to not holding a grudge. The greater good, etc., etc.
Sun’s Gettin’ Real Low
Thor trying the lullaby to no effect is hysterical. It’s also so incredibly shippy. First, Thor, the least observant Avenger, understands this is the only thing that Banner responds to and believes with all his heart that it will work because likely he’s seen it work so many times before. Second, it doesn’t work for him. The words aren’t the trigger. The relationship is the trigger. So, no, haters, it couldn’t be just anyone doing the lullaby. It had to be and has to be Nat.
I Need You
Oh, man. The fact that it’s Natasha’s video message that triggers Bruce’s return after two years is the most goddamn beautiful shippy thing I have ever been blessed to see. Taika/the writers did not have to go there and they totally went there so hard. Bruce has been riding in the trunk for two years. But Natasha says I Need You and it’s over. Hulk is already visibly shaken that Thor might leave him behind because Hulk’s primary objective — Smash! — has been replaced with a longing for friends he can count on. He may be a winner, he may have adoring fans, but he clearly misses having friends. Most of all, he misses Natasha. All the CGI awards to whoever rendered Hulk’s agonized longing at seeing Natasha. The transformation is so visceral. If Bruce has been kicking at the back of the trunk these past two years, you can tell what’s been keeping him motivated to do so — the thought of Natasha needing him. Oof. Yeah. That’s so good.
Planet Hulk (But They Didn’t Go There)
This is more of an honorable mention, but I think it’s so important. From what I’ve read about the Planet Hulk storyline, Hulk was living it up while playing gladiator. Hulk-sized ladies for days — and even a wife. But this movie, which references orgies and Hulk dick, most emphatically does not go there. It respects the groundwork that’s been laid for Hulk in the MCU — Hulk is an oversized kid. He plays with a red ball. I was honestly so concerned about this. I was crossing my fingers and praying that there wouldn’t be a Jabba the Hut image — you know, Hulk sitting on some kind of throne with half-naked women a third his size lounging around him? Yuck. I like my Hulk as a manifestation of an abused child who wants to feel powerful. Not as the mid-life crisis wet dream of some asshole who wishes he could fight and fuck like King Kong. Yuck times infinity. So, yay, movie! No wife and no grossness to sour the character/ship.
So, yeah, those are my big thoughts about the brucenat representation in Thor! How’d you guys feel about it???

When Richard Ladkani said yes to filming Sea of Shadows with Academy Award-winner Leonardo DiCaprio, exposing how Mexican drug cartels and Chinese traffickers are bringing the rare vaquita porpoise to the brink of extinction, he had no idea it would turn deadly.
Not only did Ladkani and his team get caught up in a riot in Mexico — with bullets flying past and stones being hurled their way — they later became the target of the powerful cartel that was less than pleased with their efforts to expose their illegal exploits. And they were stunned when one of the people they interviewed anonymously in the film ended up murdered.
“People have no idea any of this is happening,” Ladkani tells PEOPLE.
As dangerous as it is, the award-winning Australian director-cinematographer says it’s a story that’s too important not to tell.
“The war is on,” Ladkani says. “We’re losing, but maybe this movie can turn things around. That’s why we are so passionate about this.”
He adds, “People need to see the movie and they need to get angry and rise up and spread the word that this has to end.”
A Life-Changing Call from Leonardo DiCaprio
Ladkani was busy working on a script for a feature film in August 2017 when DiCaprio, one of the world’s foremost environmental champions, called.
The two got to know each other after working on the undercover 2016 Netflix documentary, The Ivory Game, about the gruesome slaughter of elephants in Africa by illegal poachers for their tusks, leading them down the path of extinction as well. (The film led China to ban on the centuries-long sale of ivory in 2017, Deadline reported.)
“He basically asked if I could drop everything and go help save the vaquita,” says Ladkani. “I was like, ‘Excuse me? What animal?’ I had never heard of a vaquita in my life.”

At the time, DiCaprio explained, there were fewer than 30 of the vaquita — a tiny porpoise — in the world.
They die when they get caught in illegal nets in the Sea of Cortez, off the coast of Mexico, where poachers are hunting another large fish — the totoaba.
“I said, ‘What’s a totoaba?'” recalls Ladkani.
Known in Mexico as “the cocaine of the sea,” the totoaba is a large fish whose swim bladders are considered “gold” on the black market in China, where people erroneously believe it can cure everything from cancer to arthritis, says Ladkani.

“He said, ‘Nobody knows this is going on. We are running out of time to save the vaquita from extinction,'” says Ladkani. “‘We need a big film, but you have to start now because the mission starts October 1st.'”
Five weeks later, Ladkani and his team from Terra Mater were in Mexico.
The result? The heart-pounding, edge-of-your-seat, eye-opening eco-thriller Sea of Shadows, which will make its National Geographic debut on Saturday, at 9 p.m. ET — and will be shown in 172 countries in 42 languages.
With Ladkani as the film’s director and cinematographer and DiCaprio as one of its executive producers, the doc follows a team of “bad-ass” undercover investigators, scientists, environmentalists, and journalists — all of whom do everything they can to save the vaquita, the Earth’s smallest whale, from extinction and bring an international crime syndicate to justice, he says.
“We joined forces because this is so important,” he says.
‘When We Save the Vaquita, We Save Ourselves’
Many may ask: what does the vaquita — the adorable “panda of the sea” that looks like it belongs in a Disney movie — have to do with me?
Everything, says Ladkani.
As more large fish become extinct, the more the food supply, the livelihoods of millions, and the health of the planet are seriously threatened.
“When we save the vaquita, we save ourselves,” he says. “We save the entire ocean and entire communities in Mexico that are dependent on the fishing and this beautiful planet from drug cartels who have taken over.”
The fight is very real.
“We’re down to the end game now,” he says, adding that just yesterday he got a text from the environmentalists working to save the vaquita saying they were being overtaken by 60 different poachers.
With just 15 or so vaquita left on earth, “we have about a year — maybe less — before they are gone forever,” he says. “For me, this is symbolic. This tiny place can be saved. It’s an easy thing to do.”
Scientists, activists, and journalists work to fight drug cartels and traffickers whose poaching threatens to drive the vaquita to extinction. #SeaofShadows premieres commercial-free November 9th on @NatGeoChannel. pic.twitter.com/MQB7G7YfIY

“But if we can’t save this tiny little area — 20 by 20 miles in the Sea of Cortez where the vaquita live, how can we save anything in this world?” he asks.
“It’s quite a complex issue,” Ladkani says. “But I am optimistic that we can overcome it.”
Fearless Eco-Warriors on the Front Lines
The film starts out showing the intrepid young crew of The Sea Shepherd as they try to catch poachers in the middle of the night with the use of a drone that captures their every illegal move.
“What I really love is that we have these heroes, like Jack Hutton, who are fighting evil,” he says. “He’s 22 years old. He the new future of our planet. For me, he is a superhero. He is an Avenger for the planet — literally out there fighting the cartels right now.
Other heroes in the film: Dr. Cynthia Smith of the National Marine Mammal Foundation, who tries to save the vaquitas in a daring operation, VaquitaCPR.
One of the most heartbreaking scenes comes when she and her team try to help a female vaquita.
“That was very difficult to film,” says Ladkani.
RELATED: Teen Climate Activist Greta Thunberg Blasts World Leaders at the UN: ‘How Dare You!’
The film also follows Mexican investigative journalist Carlos
Loret de Mola, who goes in-depth on the divisive issue.
It also features Andrea Crosta, founder of Earth League International, a group of former intelligence, law enforcement and security professionals who are working to save wildlife, according to its website.
The Sea Shepherd and Earth League International “are our first — and last — line of defense,” he says.
Other groups left because they were afraid, he says. “These two that are still on the front lines are amazing,” he says.
A Mentor of Mentors
When things get hard for Ladkani, he thinks of his mentor, legendary primatologist Jane Goodall, whose own tireless journey to save wildlife inspires him to keep going.
“She taught me that everything in this world is connected to everything else. In the ocean you can’t just have a species disappear and think it’s okay,” says Ladkani.
“We are part of that as well,” he adds. “We can’t ignore that. We have to fight for it.”
In an exclusive clip from the film given to PEOPLE, Goodall says people often ask why it matters if one species dies.
“There are examples where the loss of one seemingly insignificant species eventually, through a ripple effect, can lead an entire ecosystem to collapse,” she says. “We don’t completely understand the interconnectedness of all living things so this little vaquita – so beautiful – I had never heard of it before I was introduced to it in Sea of Shadows – what a charming face. And the fact that they are almost extinct is sad.”
Ladkani hopes people watch the documentary and take action by sharing the film on social media, donating to nonprofit organizations The Sea Shepherd and Earth League International, and signing their petition on their website.
Why? “This story is a symbol of what is happening in the world,” he says. “In the Sea of Cortez, you everything that is wrong with our world.”
“What I get very emotional about is that you have these criminal syndicates that are making millions of dollars by killing endangered species and sending them off to markets — mostly to China,” he says.
“You have the same stories about the black market in the Amazon, with illegal logging; in Africa, with the rhinos; and in Asia, with the tigers,” he says. “These animals are dying at such a fast rate and these criminals are making millions of dollars — and people are not even aware.”
“We can change this.”

The Open 2019: An atmosphere from the Ryder Cup playbook… and that’s what Shane Lowry wants next
It's an Irish day out there, Graeme McDowell noted, mid-afternoon. Cruel crosswind, driving rain.
Cruel crosswind, torrential rain.
Yet on Northern Ireland & Causeway coast, gray turned out to be the warmest color. Shane Lowry kept his guts and saw both the pursuit package and the raging elements to become the fourth Irishman who won the Open in 12 years. And every Open victory, and every Open winner, is special of course.
Shane Lowry kept his guts and saw both the chase package and the angry elements "

Shane Lowry kept his guts and saw both the chase package and the raging elements
Still felt this more. Lowry is an Irishman and this was a unique Irish Open; the first time it had left the mainland since 1951, but certainly not the last. Researchers have conducted questionnaires about the economic impact of opening up this part of the world, but their worthy work is unnecessary.
There were no drawbacks in these most joyful weeks, the triumph of the sympathetic Lowry who gave the 2019 championship the sender who deserved it.
& # 39; People have seen golf today and have never seen golf & # 39 ;, said the new champion. Certainly there will not be too many Open winners as thirsty. Lowry is a man from the south, but golf is not a border on this island, unlike politicians.
Lowry was supported and praised as if it were born a mile away, not in the Irish Midlands.
It was a sound that was rarely heard on a golf course for an individual warrior, but only added to the drama of the occasion.
It was not only a question of whether the leader could keep calm, but a local hero also had to remain calm. I've had all of Ireland. and Rory McIlroy discovered on Thursday morning, that is not always useful. & # 39; The last thing you want to do is come here and miss the cut & # 39 ;, said Lowry, recalling his confidence crisis before the game started.
The Ryder roar, ironically, is what Lowry has given his heart to hear. When he won € 1 million in Abu Dhabi earlier this year, he did not talk about winning majors. His ambition, he said, was to qualify for the Ryder Cup team at Whistling Straits in 2020, led by his friend and fellow countryman Padraig Harrington. I repeated that desire yesterday, moments after winning his first major.
& # 39; The following year is all about being on that plane, & # 39; Lowry insisted – and from the right, no indulgence. He is convinced that he must make the team from the right, because rookies no longer have to be boosters. Similarly, since they are close by, it will be difficult for Harrington to select him without the decision being seen as favoritism. Lowry does not want to keep his friend open for criticism.
The couple are friends and often travel together. On one flight, their vessel experienced severe turbulence.
& # 39; No aircraft has ever crashed due to turbulence, & # 39; he advised soothingly. She seemed to settle down. At what time did Lowry, who had been silent until then, lean into the conversation. & # 39; Of course there is always a first time & # 39 ;, he offered.
& # 39; I could have killed him, & # 39; Harrington recalled. Yet he was in the back of the 18th green yesterday to congratulate his friend;
Not much time for friendly distraction, and certainly no dry humor in 18 soaked holes. At one point, when the crowd rose to what sounded like a victory song, four to five to play, Lowry looked positively at this temptation of fate.
However, he was never in less than total control, however, four when the day started, and in the worst case three clear ones, at best six – but those numbers only look comfortable afterwards. In the face of the storm, even a lead of five shots seems small. A bogey and an eagle on a par five, for example, and the pillow would be two.

When he won in Abu Dhabi, Lowry asked his wife, Wendy, to have their daughter, Iris, wait for him at the back of the last green. I wanted a reason to smile even if I didn't win.
Not the least to be the unforgettable emotion of an Irish winner in Ireland. When he heard a man giving the winner's speech in his voice, an Irish-looking man, an Irish-sounding man, one of them in modern language, was a Gaelic dream come true. It is also not common.
The last man to win the Open in the country of his birth was Paul Lawrie at Carnoustie in 1999; before that, Tony Jacklin in 1969; before that, Reg Whitcombe in 1938. And the struggle to get this competition back to Ireland was so great, this was even more important than those historic triumphs. It didn't mean that an Irishman would win here. Location, location, location, has rarely been a mantra in golf.
& # 39; Look at the names on it & # 39 ;, said Lowry, looking at the famous Claret Jug. & # 39; I can't believe it's me. I didn't even know if I was good enough to win a major this morning.

& # 39; I grew up thinking I was drawing on wells to win the Open – it's always the Open. A year ago, golf wasn't my friend, I remember having Carnoustie a year had in the Open played and then I cried. I was quite jealous when I went to Padraig's house and saw his Claret Jug on the kitchen table. Now I have one of my own. "
It was certainly not intended that Lowry would have it, given some of his dark moments. He was clear four times in the last round of the US Open in 2016 when he was swallowed up by Dustin Johnson, Dermot Byrne
Byrne admitted that he cried so hard the next day that I had to persuade the rented car and his flight home missed from America. He became the collateral damage of Lowry & # 39; s slump.
This is what championship golf does, so the protagonists talk so much about the importance of the family and not about winning, and all the other coping mechanisms they use to handle pressure Lowry admitted defeat two days after the US Open – unbelievably, he had a badly timed sponsorship obligation on Monday – and that is perhaps why he was most enthusiastic o m waking up this morning with a feeling of elation.

A FOURTH STRAIGHT GO-AROUND FOR WARRIORS, CAVALIERS
by Bert A. Ramirez / May 29, 2018
Tumblr media
Mark your calendar: Friday, June 1, 2018 at 9:00 a.m., Manila time.  That’s when the 2018 NBA championship series starts, with defending champion Golden State facing, who else, but Cleveland in the two arch-rivals’ fourth straight confrontation for all the marbles.
The Warriors and the Cavaliers arranged another showdown after beating two tough rivals in their winner-take-all Game 7 in their respective conferences, the first time both conference finals went the full distance in 39 years, or since 1979, when Washington, then called the Bullets, beat San Antonio, then bracketed in the Eastern Conference, at the Spurs’ homecourt, and Seattle, the forerunner of the Oklahoma City Thunder, closed it out at home against Phoenix.
The Warriors limited the Houston Rockets to less than half of their own production in the third quarter for the second straight game to close the door on the latter in front of their home fans 101-92, while the Cavaliers, with LeBron James continuing with his otherworldly playoff performance that enabled him to get into an eighth straight NBA finals, the last four with Cleveland, did the same to the Boston Celtics at the latter’s own homecourt 87-79.
Now, the Cavaliers, with James having an option to get out of his contract when the season is over, are supposed to be fighting not only for the championship but for that option on James’ part.  Win the title and in all probability James opts in. Lose to the Warriors a third time in four years and the belief in some quarters is that the quintessential LeBron, whom they’ve seen bolt two declining franchises, the Cavaliers in 2010 and the Miami Heat in 2014, is gone.
The irony is, it’s James who holds the Cavaliers’ fortunes in his hands, and how he does – perhaps with a little help from the Cavs’ supporting cast – will dictate whether this Cavs team can compete, at least, with its powerful counterpart from the West.
So how do LeBron and the Cavs stack up in this fourth go-around between the two teams?  We have broken down this matchup into several categories, and predict the likely winner based on which team has the edge in each.
Starters
The Warriors simply have the best starting unit in the league, counting with four All-Stars – Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green – and whoever suits the matchup (could be Kevon Looney, JaVale McGee or Andre Iguodala, as when the 2015 Finals MVP wasn’t yet hurt).
On the other hand, the Cavaliers counter with James, George Hill, J.R. Smith, Tristan Thompson and Kevin Love, assuming Love is fit enough after having been placed under concussion protocol since being hit by Celtic rookie Jayson Tatum’s broad shoulders in Game 6 of their Eastern final series.  If Love can’t go, then Jeff Green, the unsung hero in the Cavs’ Game 7 victory in Boston, will get the call.
The Warriors’ superiority here is highlighted by the fact that Durant, Curry and Thompson make up almost 70 percent of the Warriors’ offense, an unmatched concentration of firepower not seen anywhere. The trio, along with Green, is also primarily responsible for the defense that has limited opponents to .447 floor shooting in these playoffs.
               Edge: Warriors.
Bench
You would think that with such a powerful starting five, the Warriors’ bench would have to give up some, right?  Not really, as Golden State has a plethora of role players who have been so familiar with the Warriors’ system that they hardly give up anything while two of their All-Stars may be resting.  Iguodala, Shaun Livingston, David West, Nick Young, Looney and Cook have been so drilled in that system that the Warriors would hardly miss a beat with them holding the fort.
While such guys as Kyle Korver, Larry Nance Jr., Fil-Am Jordan Clarkson and Green, if he comes off the bench, provide some solid potential right there, the fact that three of them – Nance, Clarkson and Green – just came aboard this year and have to find their place in the Cavs’ scheme of things puts them at a disadvantage, along with the added pressure of knowing they have to produce or else be accused of not being worthy teammates to James. The bench in the past didn’t have such a predicament as Kyrie Irving was there to provide consistent support to their franchise leader.
               Edge: Warriors.
Offense
Are you kidding me?  These Warriors can score any which way they want, with Durant, Curry and Thompson combining for an average of 74.3 points in these playoffs. That’s more than 20 points per player. These Warriors may also have the best three-point shooters in the entire universe notwithstanding the fact that the three, as a group, has not been at their best yet.
On the other hand, the Cavaliers’ offense starts and ends with James, particularly with Irving now gone to Beantown and Love not as consistent as he was before he joined up with James (let’s face it, something has to give whenever one plays with a ball-dominant star like LeBron, although it could work both ways whenever he is double-teamed).
For the Cleveland offense to be at its most efficient best, Korver, Hill and especially Smith have to play and shoot better and more consistently.  Green gave the Cavaliers a bonus in those twin victories at the end of the East finals against Boston, but can he also be consistent against the Warriors?
               Edge: Warriors.
Defense
The Warriors have locked down on “D” whenever necessary, as they showed against the Rockets, whom they held to less than half their score in the third quarter of their Game 6 and 7 victories.  (Of course, the Rockets’ missing an NBA-record 27 straight three-pointers in that clinching contest, many of them good looks, also had something to do with that development.)
The Cavaliers also play efficient defense whenever they put their heart into it, like they did against the young Celtics in those series-ending triumphs, but probably not to the extent that these Warriors are capable of.  LeBron, unlike Green, Thompson, Durant and Curry, for example, is no longer the defensive stalwart that he was in the past, regardless of those chase-down blocks that he still pulls off, and it’s simply asking too much of the “King” to stay at that level after having singlehandedly carried his team on the other end.
               Edge: Warriors.
Coaching
Warriors coach Steve Kerr has his team functioning at its optimum best whenever the occasion calls for it, like in the elimination games against the Rockets.  Perhaps the only goal that he has with this bunch is to keep it playing at a high level with more consistency as these Warriors have a tendency of turning it on and off.  Rest assured Kerr would be able to do that as they navigate the ultimate stage of a title defense.
Cavaliers coach Tyronn Lue has been more erratic with his rotation obviously as he tries to find the best combination for a basically new team, which brought back just four – James, Thompson, Smith and Korver – from its first and only championship winner in 2016.  But perhaps Lue’s biggest issue is finding a balance between getting the most out of James while keeping him fresh and also getting the most out of his supporting players.  That’s a difficult act in any language, and Lue has sometimes faltered with that objective.
               Edge: Warriors.
Intangibles
The Warriors, of course have a championship pedigree that they want to buttress with a successful title defense.  This is one of the more dominant stretches any NBA franchise has had, and that’s due in no small measure to an all-for-one, one-for-all philosophy that starts from co-owners Joe Lacob and Peter Guber, who have shown the willingness to pay the luxury tax to keep a championship team intact. If one doesn’t get motivated by such an environment, nothing else will.
While Cavs owner Dan Gilbert has tried to do the same and has, in fact, gone to great lengths to keep James happy, the prospect of losing his franchise player a second time, particularly if this team again fails to deliver for James for the fourth time in five attempts to win the title (the Cavs also lost to San Antonio in James’ earlier years in 2007), has weighed heavily on the entire organization.  Lue has tried to downplay all these offcourt issues, and rightly so, but in the end, it’s something that only oncourt success can resolve, or at least help ultimately shape.
               Edge: Warriors.
It’s obvious, with the Warriors getting the edge in six of the six areas we used, that Golden State is close to unbeatable in this series, with all due respect to James himself.  Five players – or at least four All-Stars – always trump one All-Star or even two, and in this case, Love isn’t even a certainty for the entire stretch.  It’s worthy to note that in all of James’ three titles – two with Miami and one with Cleveland – let alone these last eight trips of his to the NBA finals, he always had two All-Stars on his side, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh in Miami and Love and Irving in Cleveland.  Now, he just has one, and he may not be in the best of shape.  It won’t be that big a shame if he again loses in this one, probably in five games or even four if the Warriors get into a roll.
Here are the complete playoff stats for each NBA finalist (figures are arranged according to games played, average minutes, points per game, field goal percentage, three-point percentage, free throw percentage, rebounds per game, assists per game, steals per game, and blocks per game):

This is the twelfth expedition.
Their group is made up of four women: an anthropologist; a surveyor; a psychologist, the de facto leader; and our narrator, a biologist. Their mission is to map the terrain and collect specimens; to record all their observations, scientific and otherwise, of their surroundings and of one another; and, above all, to avoid being contaminated by Area X itself.
They arrive expecting the unexpected, and Area X delivers — they discover a massive topographic anomaly and life forms that surpass understanding — but it's the surprises that came across the border with them, and the secrets the expedition members are keeping from one another, that change everything.

Match Report - 15 September 2017
Another fantastic night with contrasting fortunes and some great individual and team performances…’this is living.’ After just 4 weeks there are only three unbeaten teams throughout the FNL, Expected Toulouse, Slumdog Mignolet and the ‘Hotties’ of Hot Coles.
PREMIERSHIP
You might think that 3 games into the Premiership season and with only one point to their name that Randwick Warriors would be a little downhearted about their current predicament. Add to that the fact that champions Lioncourt Legends lay in waiting for them tonight! But the way they swagger into the Inside Football facility every Friday night they are every bit champions themselves. The 'Cricketers' are in a 'league of their own' and tonight they were very unlucky not to have taken at least a point from Lioncourt Legends. As Rich said afterwards 'I am very happy with the performance but very disappointed with the result.' The truth is they have had a fantastic start to the Premier League and after leading 2-0 tonight and 4-2 at the interval they had their first victory in their grasp. Their displays are characterised by James their leader with the never say die attitude. Total commitment and bags of energy, he looks more like head boy than headmaster and his uncompromising challenges and unbelievable appeals are often more suited to detention than praise. But nonetheless he typifies everything that is so good about the 'Cricketers!'
It took a man of the match performance by Matt and an absolute screamer of a goal from his bother Sam to wrestle this game from Randwick to clinch a 7-5 victory. For the Legends, this was a must win game to keep them in touch with the pacesetters, Expected Toulouse.
But at the current time it is difficult to see who will be able to stop the 'Frenchmen' and their latest victims were Coaley Crows. The Crows 'fluttered' to deceive early on and were well in the game up to midway through the first half but then Expected Toulouse 'swooped' to drive their superiority home to lead 8-3 at the interval. The second half proved to be more of the same. Tobi and his ‘barmy army’ worked hard enough and with a ferocious shot, Andy also claimed the goal of the game, but the 'Frenchmen' attacked with such intense and skilful formation that the 'Crows' were unable to ‘claw’ their way back into the game and it was enough to make their supporters 'prey' for the final whistle. When it came, it was a 16-6 victory for the league leaders.
And guess what the current league leaders and the current champions meet next week at 6.30!
With the Bright Sparks against Lioncourt Veterans game being postponed until later in the season the only other game in the Premiership was the match between 9 Knees FC and Always Passing Borussia Mönchengladbachwards. Disappointingly I didn't get the chance to see any of this game. I expected a very close encounter between two excellent teams but it appears that 9 Knees raced into a 4-0 interval lead that proved to be too much for Always Passing Borussia Mönchengladbachwards to recover from. Whilst it was a closer second half, 9 Knees FC claimed a very impressive win, with a 6-1 victory, to set up their night out on the town perfectly.
DIVISION ONE
Slumdog Mignolet have always been known as the 'pretty boys' with their effervescent pink shirts but tonight they looked even prettier with a gorgeous lady as their keeper! As a consequence, she became the first ever female goalkeeper in the history of the FNL!  In a very close match Slumdog defeated Ebley Street Elite 5-3 to maintain their faultless start to the season. Ebley were the best performing team in the FNL towards the end of last season and their reputation as slow starters is safely intact this season! However, expect a lot more from Ebley since they are street aware and very capable of being amongst the elite in the run in at the end of the season!
The Not So Bright Sparks finally got their season underway with an impressive 4-2 victory over high flying Making Emile Of It. It was all square at 2-2 at half time but man of the match, Josh, in his 'quiet unassuming way' led from the front to secure their first points of the season. It was not quite enough to lift them off the bottom of the table but at the end of the day this league is so close that if they win their game in hand they will be only 3 points behind Fatdads at the top of the table.
Fatdads with their inspirational leader, Lloyd, back in their ranks bounced back from last week’s defeat to beat last season’s division one runners up 6-1. The 'Fatties' are looking in fine fettle this season and looked back to their best last night with impressive performances throughout the team. In the end man of the match was awarded to Al but in truth this was a tremendous team performance by the ‘Rolly Pollies.’
DIVISION TWO
It was the FNL version of the Partridge family with mother hen and recently hatched little chick in the grandstand to support their unflappable hero. And Chicken didn't let them down with a delicious performance even though it was like pulling hens teeth to break down the Grace Network defence in the first half. In fact, Vinny and his team had the better of Hot Coles in the first half and went into the interval 2-1 ahead. But a master stroke by the team manager at half time by replacing the oranges with sage and onion stuffing gave Chicken and the rest of the Hot Coles team the belief and the ability to give their opponents a ‘roasting’ in the second half. Hot Coles ran out 7-2 victors with Ian rolling back the years to produce a virtuoso performance to claim man of the match.
I still quite can't work out why 3 Stripe are not winning their matches. In Ollie they have one of the best players in the league. And individually they have the energy and skill to beat most teams in front of them. Last night they came up against Odd Balls, an eclectic mix of formerly talented players who have no recollection of how good they once were! On the positive side their shirts still fit...well from last week anyway...and their brains work faster than their feet...and they communicate effectively enough, in direct one syllable words anyway! Well Odd Balls raced into a 4-0 interval lead before 9 Stripes really got going. It was free flowing football at its best with Brian at the heart of everything, such is his determination to lose the ‘snail’ image, in a man of the match performance. The whole game was turned on its head just after the restart and in no time it was 4-3 with Ollie scoring 2 unstoppable efforts. But then Odd Balls gradually wound up the tiring legs to capitalise on some poor defending and add 4 more goals in an 8-5 victory.
It was a real humdinger of a match between Renewables First and Spartans. With Renewables languishing at the bottom of the table and without a point, the resurgent Spartans must have thought that this match was just a formality. And when they took an early lead their optimism looked well founded. But the 'Engineers' fought back and there was nothing between the teams at the interval with man of the match, Colin, keeping the score down to just 2-3 at half time. It was much the same in the second half with end to end action in a fantastic match. Spartans claimed a 6-4 win in the end but this was a cracking match in which both Jack and Laurie had outstanding games for the winners.
