Alright since the post was originally about Phantom, we'll do him first. I like the idea of his favorite album being View Monster, and his favorite song being Amnesia Was Her Name. He cried the first time he heard it. And the second. And the third. Every time, really.

Then goes Rain. I think he's a pretty big fan of The Ocean. Like, come on - it's his element!! It's perfect! And he likes the overall tone of the song. His favorite album would be Dinosaurchestra.

For swiss, I think he's a big fan of Knife Fight. The reasons are more self-explanatory really, I think. As for the album, he's a Spirit Phone fan.

Dew is also a spirit phone fan, purely for the song Cat Hacks. The fucking bonus track with meowing in it. When he's in a good mood he'll listen to it and jam out in time with the "bwa-BWAAA-bwah!"'s. ((If you know what parts I'm talking about, idk how to explain them))

Mountain also likes Dinosaurchestra, for the song Lawnmower. Idk it gives off Mountain vibes??

Now you might have to hear me out on this one, but Aurora absolutely LOVES Two Trucks. After Phantom discovered lemon demon from swiss ((you cannot convince me that's not how it happened)), he was showing Aurora. Thing is, he had it on shuffle or something because he can't not listen to music without shuffle. And he hadn't heard Two Trucks yet. The pure whiplash from going from something like Lifetime Achievement Award to fucking TWO TRUCKS immediately made it her favorite. She loves View Monster too tho.

Now Cumulus. I think she's a spirit phone lover too, actually. The overall tone entrances her, but her favorite song is Nothing Worth Loving Isn't Askew. Same reasoning with Moutain, it just feels like her.

Cirrus, meanwhile, is a Brodyquest fan. She learned it on keytar and will play it to warm up every now and again. But her favorite album is View Monster.

Aether really likes Ode To Crayola. It's just a silly little song about eating crayons, what's not to love about goofy songs?? Album wise, he's in the same boat as Dew and Cumulus; Spirit Phone.

Aaaaaand last but not least, Sunny. She's a big White Bread Boyfriend fan. She'll 100% belt it out in the shower or something, but nobody really minds too much when it comes to that. Album wise, another point for Dinosaurchestra.

ok so like please can you tell me about a piece of worldbuilding or symoblism or like just any WIP aspect that gives you the chills and you're really proud of? like pleeeaaase ramble :D

yes yes yes im oging hard on worldbuilding sesh for the rogue hehehe

im still in the most uhh beginning state of it all since im building the whole universe (please kill me what have i done) buuuut one thingie im really proud of is how magic works!

it originated in the more "southern" region of the galaxy, Geyaz (dont question the names alright? i suck at giving names so i just translate random words in random languages and switch them up a bit) because all the planet there had slowly lost consistency and became gasseus, this escalated in people eing able to practice magic.

magic as i intend it here is very close to the shifting abilities, so the manipulating yourself or the world surrounding you by kind of "switching" to another dimension.

its also connected to science since its not an irrational thing, but an ability to travel in the multiverse and parallel worlds and realities.

so the Geyathans were almost the only people in the galaxy able to perform magic, the others being a small percentage of people who had close Geyathan origins and so were able to master the art.

when the current royal family rose to power and so got the throne, they were sterminated because "too dangerous and powerful", still some of them survived (Anne for example)

they now live in hiding mostly in Haryaksa and Latia, the two bordering regions, since it is harder to reach Bedvhem.

fun fact about magic and "magicians", those who perform magic are called Geyzans, which is written in the same way as Geyathan or not written at all since the art of magic was mostly oral. magic is kind of illegal and the few who live on are hunted and classified as Rogues :)

actually yea i do have some new vibedo trivia! we've officially become engaged and he was the one who proposed first <3 that and he has a tendency to call me "sweet violet" since its an actual flower as well hehe. and tysm!! i'm honestly just doing my best to stay happy since my irl bedo is like very complementary to my personality if that makes sense? like he tends to wear darker clothing, i tend to wear a lot of pastels kinda thing. and so far, we're doing rlly good! sure there are some challenges we're dealing with now but im doing my best to stay positive ^^

IM GONNA RAMBLE!! im so glad sasha was asking the real questions 😭 thats why she should’ve been there earlier 🤨 but anywho.. djshdh i was wondering since there’s 5 chapters left are we going to find out who she’s with on the final chapter ? idk i feel like based on this chapter it kinda sounds like it’s gonna be eren? but reader is so unpredictable it’s still not obvious to me.. OR WAIT 💡☝️ i don’t think you’re gonna answer that question so i’ll just theorize LMAO ok so i’ve seen other people mention this but maybe she IS gonna go on that little trip or vacation and then there’s gonna be a time skip because i do think at this point, the three of them need space from all this drama and to work themselves out. like maybe she shouldn’t be jumping into a relationship rn? IDK I THINK THATS WHAT’S GONNA HAPPEN. maybe that’s also why eren didn’t answer, like she took too long deciding and he’s gonna be taking a break for himself too to actually work on himself.

i think throughout the story i started off as team eren and then i kept switching until the both of them made me go like 🥴. but that doesn’t mean i loved your writing any less. i think once i stopped being on “teams” lol i still appreciated that you made everyone with a lot of flaws and drama. eren would’ve been perfect minus the whole misogyny thing obvi. and if i HAD to choose only between him and jean, the only reason why i would choose jean rather than eren is because he at least wasn’t doing what eren was doing. but that’s the ONLY reason. jean just isn’t as charming or romantic 😭 he’s too dry for me (i’m sorry)

if this was real life, i don’t think anyone would ever forgive eren even if it was in the past or if he “changed” but bc it’s fiction i guess that’s why some people are being more lenient? omgjfgk but i wishh sometimes that we could have had a story with eren except not with this type of drama LMAO you wrote him being romantic TOO well. like i was in love *twirls hair, kicks feet* ANYWAYS GREAT CHAPTER AS ALWAYS tuesdays are my favorite days because of you! 🤍

yes, you'll find out in the final chapter! the final chapter is also ridiculously long in order to flesh out the endings for everyone. i thought about splitting it up into two chapters but there's not really a good "cut off" point. and i don't want to drag out the ending.

to me, it's like when the final episode is an hour-long special or whatever for the finale lol that's like the final chapter of tbaw. atm it's a little bit longer than the jean fucking kirstein chapter.

forgiveness is a really interesting concept to me. it doesn't really help the person you're forgiving (in this case, eren), because they still have to carry the guilt of what they've done, but it kinda frees you, in a way.

you can forgive someone without allowing them a place in your life. it doesn't mean you trust them or you like them or whatever, it just means that you're not going to let what they did continue to hurt you.

forgiving eren doesn't make him a good person. it's what he does and how he lives the rest of his life that determines whether or not he's learned from his past and reader doesn't necessarily have to be in his life after she forgives him.

idk if that makes sense? i'm also a generally pretty forgiving person, so i'm pretty lenient lol but i also understand that there are things that are completely unforgivable, but i'm just rambling now so i'll stop lol

omg oh no im so sorry to hear that it felt so rushed!! ))): the pacing of interviews can be so unsettling especially since it feels like you have to churn out the perfect answer and by the time youre done with one answer they've already moved on to the next question like omg girl.... x__x if you're worried that the number of questions is equated to whether you get the job or not, try not too focus on that too much if you can 0: from what i've experienced so far, interviews are generally not that long, and they usually ask the same general set of questions

im sorry that you dont feel confident about the outcome though ): interviews can be vvv anxiety inducing and it really doen't help that there usually isn't any sort of positive feedback )): it's okay if it doesn't go well the first time, since this is the first interview you've experienced. you will definitely have more chances, and even if it feels really intimidating right now, hopefully with each passing interview you'll feel more at ease ^__^

i completely dread school due to how it affects my anxiety, but i'm actually excited for my new french course and my fashion course!! both of the teachers told me that they liked my outfit, and my french teacher said that she liked my "cute" sleepy italian accent hehe (i was really tired, so it was quite heavy!) but thankfully, this first week is full if shortened days,, i'll just need a glass of wine each night and it'll be ok ✨ (5/7)

the rest of my day was spent baking tarts for my neighbor, checking on the bunnies, and making spaghetti carbonara,, which turned out amazing! i also fixed myself up an affogato to end the evening, when a stranger dmed me a drawing they did of me!! it was really cute, and the shading was great! it always amazes me when people take time to do these things for me, it's so generous 🌹(6/7)

It absolutely is a minor flipping off towards the former royal family, heh. Fell!Maddy just also happened to really love those tiny goats in the end though, unironically, so she’d also completely murder anyone who threatened them. Then again, they are curiously strong and capably pygmy goats so - really, even trying to mess with them behind her back might be a bit of a death sentence before she even catches you >v>;;;

Also, oh man, bless you anon, I’m so happy to hear that ;v; I’ll post Fell!Maddy art soon, I think you might like the twists with her design, heheh.

As for the worst of both Maddys- ooo, that definitely depends on whether we’re talking pre- or post-surface. I did leave the experimentation things a little vague, it’s true, didn’t want to wax on gayly if no one was interested-

To begin to broach it, well, let’s just say both Maddy’s have a higher LV. Maddy’s is higher than most Underground with the exception of the Queen, a wizened turtle crone in Waterfall, and her old fiery bartender friend, but Fell!Maddy’s is astronomical.

Maddy had to make some hard decisions and fast. EXP is a tricky thing to measure sometimes - while gaining it via murder’s obvious, there’s philosophical debate amongst monsters as to whether letting someone die in front of you by negligence counts. So she was already a bit hazy... but after the accident where Alph died and she was only able to save the perseverance soul, a lot happened... fast.

With all but one of the souls gone, monsters began to Fall in droves. They’d held out so long, and yet now, the thing that was so close - well, they’d effectively lost nearly all their progress, and it took a harsh, sudden toll. Maddy, already overexposed to human soul magic, already snapped over the edge...

She made some decisions.

Whereas Alphys in UT tried to experiment to save monsters that would’ve died otherwise regardless and then turned recluse when it all went to hell, Maddy - with concentrated perseverance strapped to her back - didn’t do that. But that didn’t mean her first experiments went well... Or prettily.

She still sees the dust on her hands. It’s part of why she doesn’t take off her gloves any more - the grit of it between her phalanges... the screams, the melting of monsters she had known for years, the haunting whispers that echoed in her maddened skull...

Hundreds of monsters went through her lab before she at last was... successful. To a decent degree... not even entirely. She didn’t stop, and it was a blessing and a curse - for years, no one wanted to venture close to her new lab in Snowdin for fear of being forced to hear the screams that had been so common in the beginning...

There’s more detail to be had there, of course, but it was at that point that she started to expand her work, to restore and improve power and eventually literally construct a mini sun to power and light the Underground and turn it into a technological paradise. By that point, though, she truly earned the mad part of Mad Scientist - while chaotic good in alignment, there’s true chaos there. She’d do anything for the betterment - had done horrors for the betterment, the survival of monsterkind. There’s so much unsaid there but... as a taste... well, when someone’s done that much just to cure what was effective a plague of Falling, what else might they do...?

As for Fell!Maddy, well, she already lived in a kill or be killed world. It wasn’t about snapping and throwing away her morals - though, by all means, she did have them... just in a way that suited her world. She was loyal to her sister and their bond was unbreakable, and to those few that earned a decent measure of her trust she repaid in kind. She’s got her own fiery bartender that acted as partner in crime, and is now that and business partner as well. A few scattered allies - friends was pushing it, but you do what you can. She was always good to kids, or at least gave them the proper chance to get out of the trouble she’d find them in by running away with a kick to the butt and a gruff shout-

But after the accident, well...

See, the only soul Fell!Maddy saved was Kindness. Not perseverance.

To a monster in a Fell!verse, especially to someone like Fell!Maddy who’d always craved that unattainable, compassionate connection with someone, something just for her and soft in comparison to all her world’s hard edges...

Nothing could be more covetable.

Fell!Maddy guards the soul she saved fiercely. No one else can touch it, and since then literally no one has seen her without that soul near her.

With the souls lost, rather than a plague of Falling monsters, her underground faced a sudden civil war. Riots were everywhere, any semblance of tenuous ‘peace’ lost as no one agreed on what to be done. Her experiments began quickly - taking monsters on the brink of death or Fallen, and experimenting. Seeing what power monster souls could have, and what exposure to a human soul might do- what tech she could develop, how she could test the limits of space-time with even just that extra boost... For a long time her lab was more secret and impossible to find, but there was a part of Snowdin even the most grizzled of monsters didn’t dare venture to for the sheer horror of the screams and the darkness of the atmosphere under the exponential EXP increase.

In the end, Maddy was able to develop tech, weapons, means of manipulating space-time that allowed her sister to throw a coup from within the ranks of the Guard, toppling the monarchy and wresting control for herself. The civil war was put to a bloody and tense end, but in it’s wake she purposefully allowed a black market/underground to rise - secret fights and games of strategy played, dust spread in back alleys - in a world like theirs, malcontent was inevitable, so her sister used it to focus on the lower echelons and the harsher proclivities rather than turning up to the overarching leadership.

Fell!Maddy, of course, took up her own position as people learned they could turn to her for all manner of things done... for a price.

Her lab and home in Snowdin is connected by a terrible warping of space-time to her sister in the Capital; such a broad instantaneous reach keeps Fell!Maddy’s sister’s grip on the Underground ironclad and even begrudgingly respected. Meanwhile, Maddy’s lab is more visible, with a ‘lobby’ of sorts for business fronts with her fiery bartender friend.

No one wants to visit the depths of her lab- not lightly.

Her technology is magitech, and unlike anything the Underground had ever seen - and she develops some of it at the cost of soul power itself... of course, not her own, and not at the expense of her precious, protected soul. No, making a deal with her is far more intense than a blood debt. You’ll get what you ask for, and the impact of her work is all over the Underground - the place is practically cyberpunk now.

But people, when they’re not calling her the Mad Scientist of Snowdin, have a tendency to call her the Reaper in her position as mob boss. After all... she’ll come collecting, should you fail to pay the life debt you owe her.
