Last weekend I had a little bit of spare time to go to a nearby park to take some shawl pictures. There will be more to come in the next couple of days. 🍂 We have the most beautiful October this year and I am so much in love with this season. And we are in the midst of our HERBGARDEN knitwear shawl KAL. #hgkskal2022 I decided to offer this KAL as an alternative for everyone who watches the West Knits MKAL with great joy every year, but does not want to start a mystery project they might not like in the end - like me! 😁 Our KAL still runs still the end of November - and I am open to extend it if there is demand for it - so you can still join in while we knit on our beautiful shawls. 🧶 We even have a little chat group here on IG. Happy Monday everyone! 🧶 My Savoring Shawl is slowly coming to life! #savoringShawl I decided to go with the light blue for the contrast color and so far I really like it. 🙌 I am using leftovers of Loch Lomond by BC Garn that I had in my stash. Are you interested in a KAL? 🍁 It is shawl season! 🙌 I love this time of the year when we get both warm, sunny days and chill evenings to snuggle up in our shawls. 🌞🍂 Earlier today I shared a proposal in my stories: While many of you are getting ready for the annual West Knits MKAL, I know that almost as many are not big fans of mystery KALs. Just like me - some of you simply prefer to know what they are knitting and are not built to stand the fear of maybe not liking the shawl when it is done. 😁 So, what do you think - should we start a HERBGARDEN knitwear shawl KAL instead? I would offer all participants a discount on my shawl patterns. You could choose to knit any (or all) HGK shawl(s). And of course I would draw a winner at the end who gets a price! 🏆 If you are (or are not) interested please let me know in the poll in my stories while it is still there - or in the comments below when the story has disappeared. I will wait a few days for everyone to think about whether they would want to participate and if there is enough interest, I'll make an official KAL announcement. Also feel free to let me know if you have any questions about any of my shawl patterns. When lovely Isabel of @breibellie shared that she started making her beautiful Elation Shawl exactly one year ago, I knew mine had to be my favorite finished object of this week. #favoriteFoFriday It is one of the easiest shawls you can make and a great stash buster for leftover mohair. I made my sample from the yarn I had left after making my Oneiro Cardigan. 🧶 For me it has the perfect crescent shape and I am still so much in love with the ruffle at the end. 💕 If you are a beginner knitter or need a side project with lots of mindless garter then you really need to give it a try!
