Hiii, I just listened to your podcast and just wanted to let you know how much I loved it!!! I absoluetly adore the constellations fic (obviously) and it´s so awesome to hear about all the behind the scenes thoughts at such lengths! Especially since you put soo much thought behind everything from which a lot probably goes unnoticed.
I´m not the best at media literacy and reading between the lines and stuff so hearing about all the "hidden" meanings and details in the character´s actions & progressions is so nice. I especially loved your explanations for the significance of abandonment, the differences of canon & your fic concerning characterization and MK´s character progression! Now when I go back and reread the fic I can pick up on all the little details you talked about, so thank you so much for that, it was so interesting to listen to!!!
Also fun fact: while I was listening to it, I was literally embroidering constellations on a birthday present for a friend. I only noticed that like halfway through but I think it´s a very funny coincidence. Anyway, I hope you have a wonderful day!!
aw, thank you for listening!! I'm glad you enjoyed! 😊😊😊😊it was actually pretty fun to like explain things and answer questions. I'm glad I could give more context and explain things. I'm also like that. Every time I read a book, I go look at articles and reviews to point out things that I missed or misinterpreted.
And that's great! There are quite a few little easter eggs from the beginning of the fic. There also might be some things that don't make sense. Some things in chapter 1 and 2 won't make as much sense now since chapter 3 and 4 happened. I was still ironing things out, but. I think I caught all of those things. LMFAO
and WOW what a coincidence!! constellations...everywhere..the power of the stars ✨🌟
thank you for sending this ask, it's so sweet! I hope you have a wonderful day/night, too!!!

hi I've seen the prequels Once long ago and didn't absorb much from them so I'm always wondering what's the reason why everyone stans anakin. no offense intended I'm just curious what gives him the flavor of being a compelling character whose story apparently works, especially when in the sequels they tried to (I think?) emulate that with kyle and failed hard since all people that aren't reylos rightfully clown him
bc anakin is dynamic and kylo ain't did nothing but stop a blaster bolt in midair and then annoy me
but truthfully he’s a character that can actually be sympathetic. like you could maybe understand how love for someone and the fear of losing them could be used against you while ur under prophetic pressure until you’re a monster and your son is looking at you “how the fuck did you turn out like this” and you’re like “hmm maybe that was a lil fucked up.” like this kid grew up as a slave it was just him and his mom and then they “freed” him bc of a prophecy he had no fucking clue about and LEFT HER IN SLAVERY and were like “side note you’re never gonna see her again!” and then they show up to the council and the guy who was going to take care of him because he was the only one who was ready and willing to train him knowing that his connection to the force was stronger than anyone that’s ever lived DIES
so now the one person who could have helped him deal with how emotional the connection to the force would be for someone who has also now just lost the one person who could ground him is gone and he also supposed to train even tho he’s too old and he’s supposed to save the world so there’s all this added pressure. and then he grows up and falls in love but “OOP! that’s against the rules! no love! don’t get attached to anyone ever! who cares if your mom just died! also here adopt a little sister, man we just established cannot handle loss! we don’t know what a therapist is. you better bury that shit king.”
and obviously anakin don’t fucking listen he’s in love and then he gets secret married and secret pregnant and then he realizes there’s a problem with the secret pregnancy and a man EVERYONE trusted to be their friend and ally is like “don’t worry :) i can help you! you can trust me :)” but surprise, he can’t!
add in like a whole ass war in the middle of that and you got anakin
kylo’s story, as seen in the movies is as follows: boy son of two war heros idolizes the mistakes his grandfather made and regretted, which he definitely heard countless stories of and instead was like “oh word? me too” and then did it the same and more with none of the regret and for why? oh i guess at the end we’ll find out that he’s been hearing voices his whole life that have never been mentioned before and actually ~ben~ is caring even tho we’ve never seen him care about anyone and he’s ~good~ but we’ve never seen him do good. they keep telling us he can be ~SAVED~ he can come back but like?? back to WHAT i’ve never seen him do ANYTHING else so it doesn’t feel like anything.
neither of them lived after their “redemption” but kylo’s shit didn’t feel like it meant anything. if i think about leia i can find 5% of a fuck to give purely for all that she went through to try to get through to her son despite everything, but i find no joy i found no interest it was like ???? and it just felt so.....fabricated so disconnected. also anakin was a better villain than kylo ever was. and he was funny.
tldr: anakin is funny sexy cool, kylo is boring ugly wack
