Dress Code

Pairing: Auror!Sebastian Sallow x Unspeakable!Fem!Reader (no Y/N) Synopsis. Basically a girlboss married to Sebastian simulator. You and Sebastian received a call from your daughter's school and neither of your are happy about it. On the plus side, Sebastian so loves watching your protective side come out. A/N: I churned this out in one sitting, no I didn't proofread. Also I'm not British so suspend your disbelief if you find inaccuracies about the school system. TW: Sexualization of a minor (alluded to)

The clacking of Sebastian’s dress shoes echoed off the walls of the empty corridor. He listened carefully. All was quiet. Good. His wife hadn’t arrived yet.

He tugged at his dark green tie to loosen it. Despite how sharp he looked in his black three-piece suit with a chain and cape over one shoulder, had he not been at work at the Ministry of Magic when he received the owl, he wouldn't have dressed up for his daughter’s blasted school at all. Sebastian was counting the days before he could send his sweet Eliza to Hogwarts next year.

The Headmaster’s office was at the end of the hall. This school was much more dreary than Hogwarts to the point where it seemed like a prison. It wasn’t the first time he second-guessed his and his wife’s decision not to call in a favor to secure a Hogwarts enrollment early. His wife was worried having an auror and an Unspeakable as parents would make them insufferable if they overused their influence. Considering that their parenting wouldn’t reach as far as Hogwarts, Sebastian relented, even though he was hard-pressed to entrust his baby girl anywhere other than his alma mater.

Sebastian made to knock as he usually did, but remembered himself and rapped lightly on the door. His wife always chastised him for banging on doors like the law enforcement. He argued that it was a force of habit and she denied him kisses for two whole hours. Never again. The door opened to reveal a stout man a head shorter than Sebastian with a beard and tweed coat.

“Mr. Sallow!” The auror reluctantly shook the Headmaster’s hand. “It is an honor, sir. Would you like some tea, sir?”

Sebastian denied the tea, but exchanged half-assed pleasantries for the sake of his daughter, who was sitting in a stiff-backed chair against the wall. He kneeled to eye level in front of her.

“There you are, sweetheart,” he cooed, weak to her big brown eyes looking up at him.

“I’m sorry you got called from work, daddy.” Eliza looked teary. “I know you had important auror things today.”

His heart clenched. “There’s nothing in the magical world more important than you, darling.” He looked down in confusion. “Why are you wearing those?”

Instead of her plaid blue skirt Sebastian cried upon seeing the first time - first time fathers, right? - she had on loose, ratty gray trousers held up by a brown belt that looked even older than Sebastian himself.

When Eliza looked down in shame, he straightened up and addressed the Headmaster.

“Explain.”

The Headmaster straightened to his full height and placed his hands on his protruding stomach.

“Well, Mr. Sallow, your daughter has just received her third uniform violation in as many months. It is time we addressed it,” he said.

Sebastian raised a skeptical eyebrow. “What’s wrong with her uniform?”

Taking a sip of his tea, the Headmaster said, “It is much too short. Several of her teachers have made comments.”

“Ah.” Sebastian crossed his arms and leaned against the wall. “Then we’ll just have to wait.”

The Headmaster eyed him warily. “Whatever for, Mr. Sallow?” Typically, Sebastian would take full advantage of his height and aura to put the man in his place, but there was a much more fitting punishment on its way and much more severe.

“My wife will be here momentarily,” he said.

“What would you call your wife for?”

Sebastian rolled his eyes. “Because we’re a partnership. If you had to ask, I feel sorry for the poor woman that had to marry you.”

“Well, I never–!”

Their conversation was interrupted by a light knock on the door. Grabbing the handle, Sebastian cast the Headmaster a sideways look.

“Endeavor not to disrespect my wife. She is not the submissive housewife you seem to be imagining.”

He opened the door and in you strode, clad in an elegant dark green velvet pantsuit. Sebastian smiled to himself, happy that you let him convince you to match colors with him while buying work clothes. The way the slacks hugged your legs was just a bonus.

“Headmaster,” you said sharply, taking his hand. Then you turned and crouched in front of your daughter as Sebastian had.

“What’s going on, my love?” you asked. The two of you shared the same curve of your lips, but nothing more. Of course you’d carry a child for nine months only to have her pop out a splitting image of your husband.

The Headmaster cleared his throat. “Miss Sallow’s–”

“Hup-up-up,” you tutted, “I was speaking to my daughter. You’d do well not to interrupt.”

His face reddened at being spoken to in such a way, and by a woman, no less. Sebastian, on the other hand, was beside himself. His heart swelled with love the way it did when you first handed him his ass in a duel all those years ago.

“Go on, it’s alright,” you told her.

With some reluctance, Eliza replied, “My skirt is too short.”

You stiffened and momentarily met Sebastian’s gaze through the corner of your eye. “That’s nonsense, your father and I know the uniform regulations by heart.”

Eliza shook her head. “My teachers have said it’s distracting.”

“What’s distracting, love?”

“Me. My skirt.”

You wiped your hands on your slacks and cupped your daughter’s cheek. With a reassuring smile, you straightened and turned to Sebastian, who looked a mix of incensed and amused.

“Don’t overdo it,” he told you.

“Now’s as good a time as ever,” you argued.

“Don’t,” he urged. “Think of the paperwork.”

You cupped his face and planted a chaste kiss on his lips. Then he held out a hand towards Eliza.

“Come, now. Mum will take care of this,” he said.

Eliza eagerly hopped out of her chair and took her father’s hand. He led her out into the hallway and shut the door behind them.

“Is mother going to kill the Headmaster?” she asked innocently.

Sebastian laughed. “No, love, dead men can’t send a message.”

“What does that mean?”

Sebastian cringed and cupped his hands over her ears, as if that would somehow protect her. Hopefully you didn’t hear that.

“Never mind that. Mum will be out soon and we’ll go home and make dinner together,” he assured her.

“What about work?” Eliza asked.

“I have the feeling she and I will be taking a half-day.”

Inside the Headmaster’s office, you tapped a heeled foot. Hogwarts was quite the progressive school considering what was going on outside it in your time. Still, you were always caught by surprise when such archaic ways of thinking cropped up. Though you supposed this wasn’t the first upset of this nature and such indiscretions would continue long after you were gone.

You crossed your arms.

“My daughter’s skirt is well-within regulations. According to your handbook, the hem must be touching the knee at all times while standing and cannot rise above a quarter inch above the knee while sitting. Her hem touches her knee even while sitting. Seeing as you have eyes and I assume you know your own handbook, I’d like an explanation as to why you interrupted my workday over this.”

The Headmaster sputtered under the coldness in your tone.

“Mrs. Sallow–”

“No.”

“Ma’am, teachers have been making complaints about how inappropriate Eliza looks in her uniform. I’m sure you can see that she looks rather improper at times. It is distracting.”

You blinked.

“I see. Which teachers have called her distracting?”

The Headmaster seemed to interpret your question as his opportunity to throw some credibility behind his words. He rattled off the different teachers and the subjects they taught. There was a single woman, but you were unsurprised to hear ‘Mister’ this and ‘Mister’ that.

“They can vouch for what I’ve said, and I would call them to my office if need be,” he smiled like he won. Like him calling for backup could do anything against you.

“Please do.” You nodded calmly. “It will be good to match a face to a name during the investigations.”

The Headmaster paled. “Investigations?”

Your stern gaze met with his shifting, nervous eyes.

“But of course,” you said like it was the most obvious thing in the world. “My auror husband and I simply cannot allow men who would be distracted by a ten year old girl to work at a school. That won’t do at all.”

The Headmaster stumbled around his desk in his haste to approach you.

“Now, now! That is quite the conclusion you’ve come to, Mrs. Sal– Ma’am. Our faculty has simply observed that Eliza’s body has developed in such a way that–”

You put a hand up to stop him. “I see. A young woman’s body changes the slightest bit and suddenly grown men are unable to contain themselves.”

“That’s not what I–!”

Turning to take your leave, you call over your shoulder, “I hope you have other skills, Headmaster, for you’ll never work in education again. Consider my daughter disenrolled.”

You step out into the hall and are greeted by your husband and child. Eliza looked nervous while Sebastian was trying to hide a smile.

You lean down to ask your daughter, “Do you have all your things?” She nodded. “Everything? You won’t be coming back here.” She nodded again.

“Good.”

Sebastian placed his hand on the small of your back, took Eliza’s hand, and guided you both to the exit. He leaned over and spoke in hushed tones.

“All settled? Finished tormenting him?” he asked.

“My love, I haven’t even begun to torment him,” you replied.

He kissed your temple. “You are absolutely terrifying.”

“I am.”

“I’m desperately in love with you.”

“You are.”

This is not written to or about you. In your mind's voice please read it as I am speaking to and about the people who have written some excited rants. I like your site a lot and like your perspectives on JiKook topics. I am hoping, if nothing else, it might inspire a conversation for you. I wasn't sure where to share it since I am new to Tumblr and really don't plan to be a big poster.

Some 'fans' and foes are losing their minds over Jimin participating in a song as a feature artist that has multiple performers, one of whom has - according to the conversations - done horrible things and has a bad reputation. However, many of these same people were not as concerned about Jungkook who performed in Qatar that has huge human rights violations and controversies. Qatar has been doing this for much longer and harming many more groups of people. The information is easy to research. Yet these same people and others have no problem supporting a KPop industry that exploits underage people with excessive work and sexual behavior. The very industry they support has had its own sexual abuse scandals and unfortunate suicide incidents, but yet they are now out of sorts about supporting Jimin with this song. I'm not in any way defending the rapper, if the information is confirmed to be true, and I am not saying it wouldn't be wise for Jimin to be aware of who he is working with, but he likely recorded a song in an isolated studio and didn't even meet the performers he was singing with. He would not work in this industry if he based his choices on only working with saintly people who never did wrong things or only behaved in ways that were perfect. As an aside, I don't know the personal behaviors of any of the other people on the song. I just don't understand the hypocrisy and the emotional tantrums people are having without thinking through information, much less looking at their own lives to see if they would have trouble being held to the same standards they hold BTS, but apparently Jimin in particular, to. If you are not who I am referring to with the descriptions above, feel free to disregard these thoughts. No need to be offended if you are not anyone referenced here.

The hypocrisy in this fandom hits me every single time.

Let's start With Kodak Black why don't we?

Born 1997, now 25 yo man. Not without controversy around him, he has been involved in several illegalities in the past.

I will say this and be loud and clear: KB is NOT a nice person.

He's been involved in drug and illegal arms offenses and beyond the charges I will talk about below, the reason people are up in arms about the collab, he has been said to get rough with women. In my books he's a douche, and if he ever raises his hand at a woman he needs to pay the price for it. Period.

But the main issue that has people upset about is his rape charges. people screaming about how can JM be collaborating with a rapist.

So, let's make one thing clear here.

KB IS NOT A CONVICTED RAPIST.

Plain and simple.

Well not so simple, because the legal system (law) and justice are two different things, at times intertwine and at times travel on parallel lines that never meet.

It actually goes both ways - people that literally get away with murder on the one hand and innocent people that have their lives ruined by wrongfully charged or convicted on the other.

But the legal system, as flawed as it is, is what we have.

Why this long winded explanation?

Well because KB was accused he raped a high school student in Feb 2016. He was charged for it in October 2017.

But 5 years later the prosecution reached a plea deal with him, the sex offenses were dropped (not even being accused of statutory rape, which is having consensual sex with a minor) and he was convicted of assault and battery and received a suspended sentence and probation.

I know this feels a little technical, but it is super important to make these distinctions. He was accused of rape but not convicted of it.

It is what it is.

He is a douche but he is not a convicted sex offender douche.

And if we are already talking about douches and problematic musicians, it's funny how everyone seems to wake up with these complaints and criticism when it involves JM.

Why is that? I ask myself.

Where were those people when Hobi was collabing with Crush? Where were they when BTS collabed with Snoop Dogg? Do I even bring up all the scandals he was involved in?

The above mentioned is merely an example of some of Snoop Dogg's issues.

Nothing, silence, you could hear a pin fall. Well, actually, not really. Because of all of the cheers and screams of joy that were heard when that collab was announced. Funny. Or not really.

And let's think about the examples in this ask why don't we?

JK doing the song for the Qatar games, well that didn't go without scrutiny. There were voices of criticism sounded, but those voices pretty much died down and at the end of the day, the song and JK as well, received the full support from the fandom.

And the K-pop industry?

YG just announced their new girl group. Guess how old the youngest member is?

As much as that is a favourite Jikook number, it sure isn't an appropriate age for a child to debut with a girl group in an industry that sexualises young girls the way it does. And it's not that the others are much older either.

So yeah, we all need to be conscious of our choices. Who we listen to, where our money goes, who and what we support. And it's ok to criticise our faves, I'd even go as far as to say it's our duty to do so. But a. it's a case to case basis, meaning circumstances matter (which means what the level of involvement is with that person, for example); and b. let's not be hypocrites here. Let's not have double standards. If we feel it's wrong to collab with a problematic rapper, that standard applies not only to JM but to every other member of the band and the band as a whole.

Period.

There's several points of law that you people violate all the time but the easiest way to kill you is by doing what our son and daughter are suggesting and they don't have any money to pay taxes and they would be under severe duress if it's real which probably you morlok can't figure out. And we're announcing it to get rid of you trying to keep that in mind it works very well

1. You do not have to pay taxes on stocks even after they split make money in a crew all sorts of money and grow and if the rate of growth increases you don't have to pay taxes unless you take dividends and our son has never taken dividends and if he did he put it on his taxes as you see in California it was only one year that he's ever done that and it was for CDs and it was a pitiful amount of money because of you people need like $100 but he forgot about the other high yield CDs but once again he's never taking dividends so he does not pay taxes does not have to and won't have to unless he divest which means takes them out and he's not taking them out and you're illegally saying he doesn't have them for who the hell knows why who doesn't do anything and Max and skincare get his coated money so he's beating you up and you're stupid

2. So starting a weed wacker or some kind of gas fired engine to threaten for what we're going to say anyways it looks like them doing it which is good. Bank accounts are different. Every year they look at the interest and they look at the money that the account has accrued and they apply a tax to it meaning that they calculate how much taxes someone would pay roughly and they just leave it there in other words the first time had a $25,000 in the bank like he did at UMass Amherst and the first year he earned about $3,000 at the end of the year they would calculate his taxes and he didn't have any income so they figured probably $28,000 no it was $3,000 so he wouldn't have to pay anything no after 4 years he was making about $20,000 on that fourth year and that's where you start paying taxes at about 30% or less probably about 15% he says and that's about right so he would have owed about 325 in taxes but it's been 30 years and it's up to 2.5 million dollars and each and every year you're supposed to pay taxes on the interest that you earn in the bank oh my gosh senior in Australia. And on that amount of money he would owe probably $300,000 and if you calculated all of it together in the bank and the interest and his regular income which is nothing and based on the interest because you don't pay on the on the major on the original sum from the last year you just pay on the interest per year so it's a lot less money than people calculate it's still more money than he could ever come up with he has like three trillion dollars in the bank and he would owe probably about $200 billion in taxes and when he would take out money out of the bank and move it we'd advise him to pay taxes on it and only when he takes the money out of each particular Bank I know it comes out in like a million dollars or $2 million dollars each time and that number it is about $100,000 each time or less and we think it's about 75,000 so $2 million dollars will be about $140,000 but all together it's $200 billion in all the bank accounts and the IRS is going nuts right now and they're mostly idiots and they're going to all die that moves us on to the next point although you guys never announced he had that money and you never told him about it and he asked and you said no and there are witnesses and that you forced them to say no

3. Social security if they knew about the interest and the bank accounts would try and discontinue his income and you idiots have been trying to do that for years and you missed this item completely and you went over it over and over. And said he doesn't know any taxes on anything and we looked at your accounts and we decided to call the IRS on all of you and a lot of your IRS people who say they're going nuts on our son's accounts some of them are cuz they're idiots like John remillard are going nuts on your accounts and you owe taxes especially Trump and we have FBI people who are Tommy Allen who are going to expose you for tax evasion cuz you never pay taxes on your bank accounts and your bank accounts are ginormous you sold all the stock and you have to pay taxes on the dividends and you didn't and you have to be taxes on the bank account interest which is humongous and you're going to owe more money than you have no but you won't pay and they're going to seek you out now the social security is starting to shut it down right now and we're going after them all of them it's a ton of money okay

5. When he was a child he had about $30,000 in one jar and 40 or 50,000 and another total of $75,000 and took the money out of circulation so the department of the US Treasury department is now seeking him and it's idiots trying to produce warrants accepting DC accepting DC they're mostly fired and Terry cheesman is the head of the treasury and she says why did you do that and I did that because people would not let me put it in the bank and use it if I did and nobody let me access it and I think someone stole it like Trump and he says no way it's been fighting over it saying I didn't steal it and it's out of circulation and it's over 20 years and it might be ruined those things they could literally charge them with if they were stupid enough to there's some laws that protect people that do that especially when they're under duress like he is by you fools so watch out for that one

5. Someone was that much money is considered to be a billionaire no matter what you do and his taxes would all be wrong and the IRS is now calling it but it's really a non threat because they'll die if they try and enforce it here or there and they're really going after you Trump because you sold all that stuff like 95% of the world stuff no it's 70% and it's going up probably will top out at 80% and you're keeping certain companies and you hit your income and you didn't report it and you didn't pay a dividends and they're going after you hard. But as a billionaire he has certain duties to perform to the United States and that's quarterly reporting no it's monthly reporting of his assets and what he's doing with them because he could be a threat and Donald Trump has not provided one quarterly report as long as he's been in the United States and most everybody else is even Terry cheesman and our son is reported to the FBI that he can't access anything and they verified it and Trump has done no such thing

6. Not only does he have to report quarterly if he could access the money but he would have to report the assets that he has and he has a lot of assets and they're unreported basically because he doesn't know about them and he doesn't know about owning companies and some of them he owns out right so we purchase them for him but nobody lets us near and his assets are huge and he would definitely be considered a threat or possible threat to national security and he be on a watch list and he's not of course the idiots will go after this and other people who are smart no it's a stupid thing to do it's an easy way for us to crush someone's balls and Donald Trump and Mar-A-Lago is hot they found the radiation it's going to come out in the news no maybe it will we don't think so

7. There's a couple other major points but that much money he is considered someone who is armed and dangerous and a lot of what he's saying online can be considered as and construed as someone who is the head of a rebel Army and that's what Donald Trump wants to say about him but Donald Trump is the one who is issuing orders not our son and he's getting information from other people and it's seen too but that's something that they could try and accuse him of if they had the government if they don't at all and they say they do but really the only part of Congress and part of the Senate about 40% of each and they're getting kicked out

8. The final thing is for now that he's exhausted but no he acts like he's poor but he always has stuff he needs and people call that poor Rich and people are accusing him of having access to the money so everybody's going after this and they're going after people with money mostly and they're saying they're going after a son but we're getting them anyways it's a huge debacle this thing weekly publishes you're going to find all these hateful f***** coming out getting killed

9. “I've been doing a bit of research on the companies that were raided this past week in MS. All six chicken processing companies have wealthy white owners, none of who have (yet) been charged criminally for knowingly hiring undocumented workers (and they did know, because all participate in the E-Verify program).

Here's some information about the largest company and the worst offender: Koch Foods, Inc. (no relation to the Koch brothers).

The CEO and president is Joseph C. Grendys, a 58 year old white man worth $3.3B.

Koch processes more than 50 million pounds of ready-to-cook chicken per week, slaughtering 12 million chickens per week. Apparently that fine wasn't enough of a deterrent for them, because they continued to hire undocumented workers. Why? Grendys' comment in the above-linked Chicago Tribune article explains the practice: maintaining a good labor force is very difficult and employee turnover is high.

They have also been targets of numerous allegations of egregious workplace conditions where Hispanic workers, particularly those without documentation were subjected to hostile and unsafe work conditions. Some of the proven allegations include denying workers bathroom breaks, sexually harassing and assaulting the female Hispanic workers, and harassing employees who attempted to unionize, including firing them and/or threatening them with ICE referrals.

One worker complained: "What I didn't like is they would yell at us and tell us we're good for nothing and we didn't know how to work, and sometimes they wouldn't even let us leave to go home when we were sick,"

The work is grueling enough, but Koch Foods supervisors required workers to "chop" the chickens at a rate of 42-chickens-a-minute. "That pace means that many workers make 18,000 cuts during their eight-hour shifts as they prepare breasts, wings, tenders and cutlets for restaurants and consumers. If they couldn't keep up, or got injured, they were fired."

Also, the EEOC found on several occasions that the workplace conditions were dangerous and violated numerous safety laws. This resulted in injuries such as amputations and even death.

Here's one of the most egregious things Koch Foods, Inc. did. They not only knowingly hired undocumented workers (recruiting many from Texas border towns), they used their undocumented status to control and exploit them. A federal criminal investigation found that supervisors would often falsely tell undocumented workers that they'd received a "no-match" letter indicating a problem with their social security number, and for $700 the company could get them a new SSN.

These workers made about $7.80 an hour, but if they worked in a darkened room where thousands of live chickens poured down a chute where workers grabbed them and killed them, and then hung them on a hook (about 40 per minute), they got $1 more per hour. If they worked in the "chopping" room, they got 50 cents more per hour.

But in 2018, Koch lost a huge EEOC case for the overt sexual harassment of Hispanic female workers (mostly undocumented). And these seven companies aren't the only ones engaged in the practice of recruiting undocumented workers (because they are an easily manipulated and stable workforce). In 2001 Tyson Chicken executives were charged for recruiting undocumented workers from Mexico, and then providing them with fake identification (the workers thought their IDs were real, and were later charged criminally for having false identification papers.)

Despite clear-cut evidence, the case was dismissed in 2003, and no company has been criminally charged since (apparently it's bad for U.S. business).

The companies can then start all over with a new crop of scared and vulnerable workers, and the problem of unionization and demands for better workplace conditions is gone..

There is a callousness where UIDAI says name, email, mobile number, address, photograph (all of which are verified) being leaked isnt a privacy / security breach. Let's put this in context - and understand why they aren't perhaps the organization to trust all our data with. Yet. I've noticed a pattern - where a lot of the women in my life, keep changing their numbers. My sister does it - she switches through one or two numbers every year. I know several women who are in the limelight who use two numbers - one that is out there in the public and a personal number that they share very selectively (and inevitably that number does get widespread and they switch again). If you havent understood the reason yet, it is because some creep gets hold of the number and starts messaging or harassing - sooner or later. In a country where law and order isnt established, and women by enlarge don't feel safe, this is a breach of violation - and most of all a breach of trust. Let's not even talk about the over-aggressive marketers who are going to have a field day with this data, but all the women out there - their photographs, names, email addresses, residential address and mobile numbers are out in public. It is a state funded stalker-feast. All systems are vulnerable. That's not the issue. If UIDAI thinks this isnt a breach - then they have a very different definition of what privacy means. Till there is a privacy act in place - which will punitively punish organizations and individuals - both government and corporates severely for compromising on citizen data the government has no right to demand citizens to give up their data. When UIDAI claims special powers - like the military - where they are the ones who define words like privacy, breach etc, and can be the only ones who can take action on themselves, then we are at the mercy of whoever has influence and power in that organization - and works against us. Unless ofcourse the agenda always has been surveillance of citizens, then yes, it makes perfect sense why UIDAI wouldnt want to be accountable. Every bank that has info about customers is mandated to go through a third party security audit. I don't see why UIDAI wouldn't be subjected to the same security parameters - when there is far more vulnerable data residing in those servers. You might have already enrolled yourself in Aadhaar. But think about it, it costs Rs. 300 to get data about the vulnerable in our society - be it the oppressed (because of their beliefs) or the women who are already living in a very unsafe environment. This isnt about whether you have enrolled or not. I can't think of a single human being who would be okay to risk the safety of their mothers, sisters, daughters and wives - and our own privacy, for the sake of some larger agenda (that we are not even aware of). You can do one thing. Raise your voice, so that the elected MPs take this issue up in the Parliament and discuss. The lawsuit stands and we're opening more about the hospitals here in his treatment and violation of treaties and violation of human Rights and civil rights and violation of law and every day by Mac too.
