What a weirdly interesting home. It was built in 1938 in Los Angeles, CA. 2bds, 4ba, reduced $180K to $999K.
Tumblr media
There's a spacious living room with recessed built-in bookshelves.
Tumblr media
An interesting architectural feature. The owners have incorporated the living room furniture around it.
Tumblr media
This has to be the coolest feature of all. It's like a wooden igloo.
Tumblr media
The dining table is next to it.
Tumblr media
The little structure has double doors.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
How cool is this? I wish they would've shown the interior.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The kitchen isn't terribly large, but it's cute and retro. Look at the vintage stove.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This home is like a home within a home. The bedroom has outdoor walls, doors & windows separating it from a sink. Notice that there's also an iron gate on the other side of the wall in the hallway.
Tumblr media
The bedroom's kind of fun and cozy.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This hall leads to a remodeled bath.
Tumblr media
A few stairs lead down to a home office.
Tumblr media
Iron barriers on all of the these windows.
Tumblr media
Very large retro bath.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There's an extensive office here.
Tumblr media
A restroom also.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
There is a rooftop deck.
Tumblr media
Down in the yard, I'm not sure what the cage is for.
Tumblr media
It kind of looks like it's in a big ditch.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The garage and front door are on a block with one other house.
Tumblr media
4,020 sq ft lot.

Chapter 3: The Amber Price of Whiskey
She's a badass, she's a lightweight
.... enter one Ava Silva
Tumblr media
“Do you have a mirror under there? This is some Vegas magician shit you’re pulling.”
Suzanne peered out the screen door to the patio, where Mary and Shannon sat across from each other, evidently playing cards. A modest pile of beer bottles collected to their left. Mary slammed her cards down on the table.
“I’m just good!” Shannon, tall, fair, and smiling, laid her cards face down onto the table and leaned in with a smile.
Mary huffed and picked up her cards. “Chief? That you in there? Shannon’s cheating at cards again.” She turned back to Shannon. “And what am I, ‘o for seven, ‘o for eighteen now?”
“Stop cheating, Shannon,” called Superion.
“The next time I win, you’re cleaning the fucking toilet is what you’re doing,” Mary muttered.
Just then, a door closed somewhere in the house. Rather than Beatrice, Lilith walked into the kitchen. Lilith was tall and stern, with distinctive cheekbones and a delicate bone structure. It was modelesque in a way that could be intimidating. This wasn’t helped by the most severe case of resting bitch face Suzanne had ever seen—outside of her own, of course.
Lilith greeted her with a nod before opening the fridge. What she was looking for, Superion didn’t know; it was empty but for a beer called Alhambra when she’d just grabbed the water bottle.
Lilith closed the fridge, beer in hand. She nodded towards the whiskey. “I don’t know how you can stand that with no ice.”
“ This is for cooling off,” Superion held up the water. She held up her whiskey in the other, nodded toward it. “This is not.”
“Just drink beer like the rest of us, Chief, and you’ll get both at the same time,” Miguel said, sliding onto the stool next to Superion. He held out his hand toward Lilith and she obliged, tossing a beer across the kitchen. He caught it easily.
“Mmm. But then I’ll have to look like you.”
Just then, Beatrice walked through the living room and into the dining area. She’d caught the tail end of the conversion, so at face value, this was a wild thing to say. Miguel wasn’t Beatrice’s type, but she had eyes. The guy was fit, and not un attractive.
But you know what? Somehow that made it even funnier.
Beatrice continued into the kitchen comfortably, eyes settling on the beat-up yellow YETI cooler at Superion’s feet. On top, it had a dirty piece of duct tape labeled CANTINA in thick sharpie marker. Beatrice grimaced, amused. Almost every unit she’d deployed with had something similar, though the YETI was a step up from the beat up old Igloo held together by duct tape and dreams they’d had in Syria.
Miguel raised his head to look at Beatrice. “And you must be our little Sparrow.”
Mary leaned her chair back to more clearly see from the backyard into the apartment, hand over her brow to shade her eyes. “Hey, if you’re here to fix the air conditioner, it’s right around the corner. Thank you very much. Thank you for your service.”
Ah, ball busting, a tradition as integral to this job as much as any other. Beatrice ignored her and leaned on the back of the sofa. She did, however, fight a smile when she heard a thud followed by a whispered “ What ? I was just fucking with her.”
Superion set down her whisky glass and cleared her throat. “I’ll introduce you to everyone. That out there is my QRF team lead, Shannon. That across from her is Shotgun Mary.” She gestured to the shirtless blond to her right, then to the woman cracking a beer open by slamming it against the counter. “This is Miguel, and that’s Lilith.”
“We’ve met,” said Beatrice to Lilith. She offered a respectful nod toward the fellow Marine. Former Marine? Beatrice never could tell; some people said you could never be a former Marine. Beatrice tended to agree. “Villaumbrosia.”
They’d worked together a couple of times in Kuwait. Lilith was precise, meticulous, and to the point. A bit more abrasive than Beatrice usually preferred in her coworkers, but trustworthy and reliable overall. Lilith returned the nod. “Kline.”
The door shut, and everyone turned to see a short-haired brunette kick off her shoes, grocery bags in hand. “And I’m Camila”
Lilith set her beer down to help Camila with the grocery bags. Mary opened the screen door and came inside, moving counterclockwise around the kitchen bar and gathered crew to get to the fridge.
“Why Shotgun Mary?”
“Take a guess.” Snarky, but alright. Beatrice had earned that. Also, if it was anything like the other nicknames or callsigns, it was probably something incredibly stupid.
“Beatrice, can I get you a beer?” Superion stood and made like she was moving toward the kitchen.
“Just water, please.”
“Water,” sniggered Mary, not enough under her breath to not be a goad. Despite her protests, Camila sent a water bottle Beatrice’s way via air mail. It only narrowly missed Superion as she ducked out of the way.
Much to Beatrice’s relief, she didn’t bobble the bottle at all as she pulled it from the air, smoothly twisting the cap off as she raised it to her lips. Yikes. It was never a good sign when water tasted sweet. She should probably get on the hydration train fairly soon or she would be regretting it tomorrow, drinking today or not. “When do we start?”
“His family keeps an apartment here,” Superion answered, idly twisting her back as she moved around. Beatrice didn’t blame her—she felt stiff from the plane ride too—but each twitch as Suzanne subtly stretched a certain spot implied the woman had an old injury. “We have eyes on it. When she moves, we move.”
“And where does he stay?” Beatrice obviously had said she didn’t have a problem using this woman to get to her father, but it would be infinitely easier if she could just access the target with little to no fuss.
“That’s the million dollar question you’re here to answer.” The reply was provided with some satisfaction, like Superion was sure that she’d made the right choice with Beatrice.
Just then, Mary walked up to Beatrice, face smiling—practically a picture of compassion.
“Let’s see that,” Mary chided, taking the open water bottle directly from Beatrice’s hand and slamming a beer in its place. She looked Beatrice in the eye, set a hand on her shoulder. “I don’t trust anyone who doesn’t doesn’t get drunk with me. Bottoms up, Babygirl.”

Here is Dennis Nolan's box art for Frostbite for the Atari 2600. A good twist on the Frogger mechanic with a dash of Q*bert. It was released in August 1983 when Atari was busy collapsing so it didn't get as much attention as some earlier titles, but it is one of the better arcade-style games on the system. The Dudley Do-Right looking dufus performing a grand jeté (pretty sure I got that right, I Googled it and everything) is Frostbite Bailey.
Tumblr media
From the box:
Far beyond the Northwest Territory, icebergs crack and the wind chill factor is minus 40. This is the land of Eskimos and igloos, of polar bears and frozen toes. This is the home of Frostbite Bailey.
Part survivor, part architect, part nuts. He eats raw fish for sustenance but really dines on danger. He's the guy with ice water running through his veins. A bona fide working class hero.
You see, Frostbite builds igloos for a living. Iceblock to iceblock, he jumps high and low, while danger follows every leap. Killer clams, Alaskan King Crab, snow geese and big bad bears.
Yet, Frostbite will not be deterred. From the frigid morn through the dead of night, heeding only the call of the wild, he works on and on.
Maybe it's the spirit of Peary. Or, maybe his brain's gone numb. In any case, he's still there and he'd like you to join him. Frostbite Bailey - building igloos, and legends.
And if you were able to score 40,000 points, you could mail in a photograph of your score to join Frostbite Bailey's Arctic Architects and got this swanky patch!

How did E&S spend valentines day this year?
Hi there!
I really wanted to give E&S some love this Valentine's, but it's been a crazy and exhausting couple of weeks, and I haven't really felt all that inspired.
As for what they did this year... In my timeline, it's just a couple weeks after the gala. Since Ethan outed them as a couple, they don't feel like they need to hide anymore. Even though neither cares that much about Valentine's Day traditions, Ethan planned a romantic date because he could finally take her out in public without worry.
The day started with Ethan discovering some lingerie that Sawyer planned to wear for him that night. It made for an interesting day of fantasy and frustration, which you can read more about here. (Warning: It's a spicy🔥 one.)
That evening they dined in an igloo at a popular rooftop restaurant in South Boston. The igloo let them enjoy the beautiful outdoor view of Boston even in the chilly weather.
Tumblr media
After dinner Ethan took her to a packed ice cream/coffee shop. The shop was known for projecting love notes onto their storefront during the month of February. Sawyer was enjoying the show as they waited for their coffee order, and was surprised when she saw a projected love note dedicated to her from Ethan.
Sawyer showed her appreciation once they returned to Ethan's place. He finally got to see her in the lingerie and live out some of the fantasies that occupied his mind earlier in the day. It was a late, late night.😏

WELCOME TO CHRISTMAS AT MOUNT PAEAN
Vievecor City’s annual CHRISTMAS EVENT is finally upon us! This event is organised by the deities on the island who have all worked together to bring the supernatural community some festive cheer.
All guests are welcome to come at any time over the three days and can come and go as they please. This year, the event will be held at a private mountain resort at Mount Paean!
Guests can arrive at the Sacred Glen at any time over the duration of the event where they will be guided to a light portal and transported into the town square of Mount Paean's ski town.
Tumblr media
MOUNT PAEAN
The moment a guest steps through the portal, they will be greeted with the sight of a large mountain called Mount Paean. It is backed by a sky awash with all manner of colours and it is obvious that one has stepped into a place that is not quite earth. In the daytime, the sky is streaked with a mix of light pastel pinks, yellows and blues. At night, those colours will turn into swirls of deeper greens, purples and yellows and are dotted with twinkling stars and clear view of what looks like the Milky Way, but those who know the night sky of Earth well will find that it is not quite the same.
The trails that criss-cross the whole mountain will offer guests spectacular views of nature and everyone is welcome to ski, snowboard or simply hike these trails. Deities and event volunteers are stationed around the mountain to help anyone who might get lost.
(OOC: Demons, malevolent spirits and dark witches might find the atmosphere around this mountain uncomfortable and can become irritable because of it. This will more easily affect younger demons and spirits who are less than a century old and dark witches who are less than fifty years old. Elves will find themselves feeling stronger and more cheerful around this mountain.
Players are welcome to have their characters volunteer to help out on this mountain in various roles ranging from ski/snowboard instructors, mountain guides, mountain rescue. These characters should be on good terms with deities as a whole if they wish to volunteer.)
Tumblr media
THE SKI TOWN
The ski town at the base of Mount Paean consists of 2 bars, 1 fine dining restaurant, 1 grocery store and the residential ski lodges. A large Christmas tree sits in the middle of the town square to add to the festive atmosphere. Carollers are present in the town square from midday and will sing into the evening to add to the festive cheer. (See a curated Vievecor City Christmas playlist HERE!)
The ski lodges in this town are the main form of lodging that all party guests have been registered to the moment they step through the portal. These lodges are where guests can rest and stay for their time at the event.
(OOC: Players are welcome to have their characters volunteer to help out at the various locations in the ski town. These characters should be on good terms with deities as a whole if they wish to volunteer. Prisoner characters can be taken out of prison to work as housekeeping staff at the various ski lodges.)
Tumblr media
THE GLASS IGLOOS
The glass igloos are scattered around the forest at the base of Mount Paean for guests to book out and spend the night. These igloos provide guests with an open view of the sky throughout the day and will also allow guests to seem like they are sleeping in Mother Nature. Elves and werewolves in particular will enjoy these igloos.
(OOC: Players can have their characters book to stay at one of these igloos with their loved ones. Players can also have their characters volunteer to work as management for these igloos and their job scope will involve catering to a guest’s every whim. These characters should be on good terms with deities as a whole if they wish to volunteer.)
Tumblr media
THE HOT SPRINGS
The large natural hot springs that are at the base of Mount Paean provide party guests with a place to sit and relax in nature. These springs are unisex, meaning everyone can enter to soak in it at any time. There are 1 large pool and various smaller pools in this area.
The largest pool has a water temperature of around 37°C/98.6°F and is considered a perfect temperature for most people. The various smaller pools scattered around the area are of varying temperatures and guests are welcome to try each of them to find their favourite ones. Vampires in particular will find these hot springs to be very comfortable.
Amongst the smaller pools, guests might stumble across a hot spring that has water that will be able to magically cure anyone with a recent physical ailment. The smallest pool in the area has waters that will magically allows anyone sitting within to fully relax and be more open, uninhibited and loving, especially if they are with a person they have feelings for.
Guests who use these hot springs must be appropriately clothed at all times and should not try to steal waters from these pools for use outside of Mount Paean.
(OOC: Players can also have their characters volunteer to work as management for the hot springs and their job scope will involve making sure that operations run smoothly. These characters should be on good terms with deities as a whole if they wish to volunteer.)
Tumblr media
THE FROZEN LAKE
A large frozen lake sits at the base of Mount Paean and the ice that sits atop the lake shimmers with magical iridescent colours that can be seen from a distance. Party guests are welcome to borrow a pair of ice skates from the skate shops next to the lake to enjoy what the lake has to offer.
(OOC: Players can also have their characters volunteer to work at these skate shops and their job scope will involve renting out skates for guests. These characters should be on good terms with deities as a whole if they wish to volunteer.)
RULES:
Our Christmas Event will run from Dec 23rd, 12pm EST to Dec 31st, 12pm EST. In-game, everything will happen from the night of Dec 23rd to the morning of Dec 26th. Players are free to choose whether to participate or not, but it is highly encouraged for everyone to do so. Characters who do not know of the supernatural world will have to sit this event out but they will not be penalised for low activity. Once the event has begun, we ask players to only post starters which are related to it. Please tag all new starters with #vcchristmas2023 and #vievecorcitystarter and @vievecorcitystarters. The open starter rules still apply! We advise players to place prior threads on hold during our event week, however, this is not required. Thank you for reading and HAVE FUN!

Anyway, there's nothing more she can do for now, so Riley calls it a night and goes to sleep.
Tumblr media
Sarah doesn't want to sleep in the igloo tonight, so she stays in the dining room, playing until she's sure Riley is asleep enough for her to go back to the bedroom. Or maybe she'll sleep on the living room couch.
Tumblr media
It's still early, but Kelly can't take it anymore and goes to bed too.
Tumblr media
Before long, Dale joins her. Everyone is tired and eager for the term to end. All that's left is to go to sleep and wait for daybreak to receive their report cards, then they'll be able to leave the campus for a well-deserved vacation.

been thinking about the simulacra problem of minecraft again; there are what i would call purely-MC constructions such as redstone contraptions that simulate nothing outside of the game. a redstone contraption represents a redstone contraption, it is the thing that it is, etc.
most attempts from "builders" to solve the problem of how naked redstone can clash with other build styles* involve the construction of facades, shells, basements, hidden rooms, or disguises which mask the real purpose of the structure or structure part. these disguises most often borrow real-world visual language for buildings, as with an exterior that appears to be a house or shop but is hollow to make room for the contraption.
houses, of course, naturally generate in minecraft but villages share no lineage with the facades meant to conceal contraptions. two other potential analogues exist in the igloo's hidden basement and the faint suggestions of life and community beyond the current scope of the (singleplayer) game in ancient cities**; however, redstone rooms below portals and basements in igloos are created to be discovered and revealed, whereas facades conceal and hide away.
there's no problem with this, except for I would like to know what unsimulated architecture, engineering structures beyond the wires and machine-parts, infrastructure etc could look like not from an in-universe lore perspective but a player-builder-interactor one could look like. beacons are my actual complaint, as they are optimally situated at bedrock and require minimally a 1x1 hole as deep as 300 blocks to remain operable. irl constraints on architecture include gravity, differences in human bodies that use them, climate, materials and so forth - all of these being absent in minecraft, save for a thousand meter hole. what structures could that beget?
farms with high-up AFK spots are saved from being eyesores mainly because it's useful to build them out of transparent glass. scaffolding/ladder towers are usually eyesores though, and more beautiful means of locomotion are either expensive (elytra and rockets, also can be imprecise to land) or obnoxiously impractical (does anyone want to walk up a 100 block tall staircase?). what, then? what if water elevators, slime block fall breaking, tunnels, nether portals, etc. grew into their own language of design?
i don't know what that looks like but oh my god if you know how to work a beacon into an upgraded village in sort of classic simulacra-medieval style so that i can have haste and maybe regen coverage across a few hundred blocks let me know. urgently
*i want to be clear i don't mean because it's ugly (though it can be); one solution, potentially, is to showcase exposed wiring or bare mechanism through glass walls or other means (e.g. prettystone).
** there is something verging on interesting about the suggestion of a dining table and chairs that are unearthed when clearing out the wool piles that generate occasionally, but it is way out of scope of this post. which is about beacons btw.

Anyone for a double dome home that looks like twin igloos? Look, there's even a little one for the doggo. The 1985 build was well-cared for, is in Melbourne, Florida, has 3bds, 2.5ba, $500K. Oh, and it will withstand a cat5 hurricane.
Tumblr media
It's gated, which is kind of cool.
Tumblr media
2 ponds w/fountains.
Tumblr media
Front door opens to a mirrored wall and stairs, with the living area straight ahead.
Tumblr media
I like the ceiling and floor.
Tumblr media
To the left is a modern double-sided fireplace and the kitchen, plus doors to the patio.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The kitchen's smallish, but very nice and has a wine rack, plus a island that accommodates some seating.
Tumblr media
In front of the doors is space for a dining area and there's also a built-in cabinet.
Tumblr media
The primary bedroom has a closet, door to the terrace, built-in cabinets with a headboard for the bed, and a bench.
Tumblr media
The terrace overlooks the patio.
Tumblr media
A ladder goes up to a loft.
Tumblr media
In the loft are 2 built-in benches with glass to look down at the bedroom. The loft is up in the cupola on the top of the house, so you can open the louver shutters to look out.
Tumblr media
Plenty of built-in storage for clothes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The bath is pretty roomy.
Tumblr media
Cute built-in office.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Secondary bedrooms.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Bath #2.
Tumblr media
The room up here is air conditioned and everything, but it's unfinished.
Tumblr media
Nice bright basement.
Tumblr media
The 1/2 bath is down here.
Tumblr media
The outdoor patio is surrounded by a planter.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The lot is 1.24 acres.

Scandinavian Travel Checklist: Designing a Bespoke Tour across Northern Europe
Tumblr media
Scandinavia is an astonishing part of the world, with cities and landscapes across Denmark, Sweden and Norway Holidays that range from vast open wildernesses to eclectic towns, tiny villages and islands perched in the ocean to sophisticated spa hotels and luxury wellness centres.
If you’re keen to travel to Scandinavia and want to see as much as possible, a tour package is the perfect option. We offer a range of Scandinavian holidays, from winter wonderland trips to relaxing summer adventures and self-guided fly/drive packages.
Let us share some of the best places to go and the most popular things to do in the region, alongside recommendations for activities and excursions you will love.
Creating a Customised Tour of the Scandinavian Countries
One of the brilliant aspects of travelling around Scandinavia is the contrast between the seasons – the region transforms throughout the year with the changing weather, and even if you’ve visited countless times there is always something new to see.
We’d recommend beginning with a checklist of your must-see places or the type of holiday you’d most love to experience – for example:
Would you prefer to travel in the warmest summer months, during the snowy winter, or during spring and autumn when most cities are quieter?
Are there activities you’ve always wanted to try? Perhaps you’d like to hike up a mountain, relax in an authentic outdoor spa, snowmobile across a glacier, or camp in a rural area overnight to watch the Northern lights holiday.
Do you have a particular type of accommodation in mind? We offer a huge selection, including treehouses, ice hotels, glass igloos, rustic summer cabins, ultra-modern hotels and lodges.
Organising a tour means you don’t need to make any compromises – you can incorporate all of your bucket list items into one trip, often starting in one of the major capital cities to soak up some culture and entertainment before you head further out.
Exploring Scandinavia’s Capital Cities
The architecture and history of Scandinavian cities are a big draw for guests. There is a variety of experiences to pick and choose from, such as fine dining, visiting world-famous palaces and museums, walking tours and self-guided tours where you can see the sites via bike or book a boat trip around the local harbour.
Oslo is Norway’s capital, with an urban, contemporary feel, yet surrounded by mountains and greenery. The nightlife is lively and welcoming, and we recommend a stop at one of the superb museums, including the Munch Museum and the Kon-Tiki Museum.
Our next stop is Stockholm, Sweden – a captivating and beautiful city characterised by cobbled streets winding through Gamla Stan, the 13th-century old town, with attractions like the Royal Palace and Nobel Museum.
If your Scandinavian tour includes a visit to Copenhagen, you’ll see colourful houses lining the harbour and canals. You can also visit the stunning Amalienborg Palace, home of the Danish royal family, and the world’s second-oldest amusement park at Tivoli Gardens.
Booking a Winter Tour of Scandinavia
Several Scandinavia tour packages are designed around festive themes, including the Polar Express Train Journey, which takes you on an incredible tour through the Arctic Circle, crossing Norwegian and Swedish Lapland. The eco-friendly transport runs from Kiruna in Sweden to Narvik in western Norway, with opportunities to try a dog sledding safari in the snow and visit the Abisko National Park.
Another great option for a Scandinavian tour holiday in the winter is our Swedish Ice Hotel Adventure. It begins in Stockholm, which is made up of fourteen islands that form the archipelago. Once you’ve finished exploring the city, you’ll head to Swedish Lapland and dive into a truly magical experience.
Scandinavian Travel During the Summer
If your ideal holiday is a summer visit, we can suggest an equally broad array of options, tours and packages. The Castles and Jutland package is a popular fly-drive holiday where you can explore Denmark at your leisure and stay as long as you wish at each landmark or city.
This holiday is suited to visitors of all ages and takes you through the Danish countryside. You will learn about the Viking heritage of this fascinating country, visit pristine beaches along the wild coastline, sample Nordic cuisine, and see historic ruins and museums at each stop.
Highlights include a stop-off at the original Legoland in Billund, which opened in 1968 and is adjacent to the Lego factory, and a visit to the beaches in Skagen – Skagen Sønderstrand and Gammel Skagen Strand are both great places to visit.
Recommended Places to Visit During Scandinavia Tours
Scandinavia offers such diversity that it’s impossible to curate a list of everything we’d recommend. Still, below, we’ve highlighted some amazing views and structures you’ll not see anywhere else in the world.
Denmark and Sweden: Oresund Bridge
This bridge connects Sweden and Denmark and sweeps for five miles above the Oresund Strait. There is an underwater tunnel, an above-ground bridge and even an artificial island called Peberholmen. As a feat of engineering, the bridge is the longest road or railway in the world and can be seen from the air as you land in Copenhagen.
Norway: Preikestolen Cliffs
At 2,000 feet high, these cliffs are far above the Lysefjord below. They are a granite plateau accessible via a short, steep hiking path that takes roughly three hours to climb. This is another unique Scandinavian landscape that keen hikers should never miss—the view is breathtaking.
Sweden: The Stockholm Archipelago By Boat
We’ve mentioned Stockholm, but a tour of the archipelago by boat is a great day out in itself. There are numerous islands to explore, with the chance to stop off and cycle along the nature trails or see the ancient Viking graves, with seabirds, eagles and seals often spotted along the cliffs and coastlines.
Booking Travel and Transport throughout a Scandinavian Holiday
Travel is part of the excitement of Scandinavian tours, where you can experience an overnight train ride across borders, hire a car for a once-in-a-lifetime road trip, or navigate the Norwegian fjords aboard a ferry – spotting rare wildlife and even the Aurora Borealis in the right winter weather conditions.
There are plenty of sustainable, eco-friendly travel options throughout the region, especially in Norway – examples include emissions-free public transport networks across Oslo and electric ferries and trams.
Please review our comprehensive range of tours and packages online. You’ll find full itineraries, flight details, and lists of the attractions, excursions, and accommodations included.

Happy Saturday! I’ve always loved to write and take pictures and was inspired last night to start this blog! With work, school, sports, birthdays, holidays, hunting (and fishing 🙄) and the never ending to do list it’s difficult to find time to have some one on one time. Our day started with dropping the girls and their presents off at school then we were able to have breakfast together for the first time in who knows how long. We also visited a few downtown shops for last minute shopping and loved that we could stay local and find so many unique gifts and everywhere we went the employees were happy and wonderful. This time of year is so joyful and heartbreaking at the same time, that I was inspired to share only the positive things I see. There is so much negativity, worry and devastation in the world right now and sometimes it feels wrong to enjoy all the blessings we have, but I have to keep enjoying and focusing on my kids and the joys in life or it will pull us all down. We are blessed to be able to help others in the ways we can and pray for a more positive future ❤️ Here was the start of our day!

We spent the rest of the day wrapping gifts and watching Christmas movies. Hoping this will be a new tradition to take time off together before Christmas 🎄

Now to the main story of the day! I wanted to share the positive experience we had on our Igloo dining date at Silver Birch Supper Club in Tomahawk. We arrived to a beautiful lit up igloo on the deck overlooking the lake with holiday decor, cozy blankets, plenty of heat and a fun light up Bluetooth spreader to listen to any music we wanted! They brought breadsticks and our salads and a husband approved homemade whiskey old fashioned and a surprise drink for me with a caramel apple martini. The food was cooked perfect and ended the evening with a surprise dessert to look like the igloo 🥃🍸🍨 We could feel ourselves relax and the whole experience lifted our weary spirits after a crazy few weeks. If you’re able to book an igloo experience here or any other place that offers I’d recommend it! Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and focus on the positives! Until next time 🦚

So about 2 months ago, this little outdoor girl went missing. The outdoor kitties roam a bit and sometimes they are gone for a day or 2, but Olive went missing and as days kept passing with no sign of her, and as we looked all around for her with no luck, we pretty much gave up hope that she would come back, figuring maybe she’d been hit by a car and gone off somewhere private to pass away. Imagine our surprise when after two weeks, one day when Beck came home from work, she spotted Olive in a little kitty igloo on the front porch. One problem though. She was missing a little something she’d left with…about 3/4 of her front leg. We took her to the vet and they took the rest of the leg off and stitched her up and told us to come back in 2 weeks to get the stitches out. Unfortunately, that’s a pretty rough spot to heal up on a very excitable kitty, so the recovery had a few bumps and extra stitches that extended the recovery time, but at long last, today she had the last of them removed and is ready to go. She’s been awfully agreeable, all things considered, living in a big dog crate in our dining room for about 6 weeks. It is amazing how resilient they are. The issue now is that she’s gonna have to live inside, and there just happens to be a 13 year old, partially blind, extremely possessive kitty already living in here and she’s not loving this new addition. There have been many hisses. I’m hopeful it will all fall into place at some point and they’ll at least be cordial, but for now, Olive’s adventure continues… (at West Liberty, Kentucky) https://www.instagram.com/p/Cpd_aXbLWk6/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=
