Day 7: Chief Ishizawa from Imadoki no Wakai Mon wa. I love him so much he’s the ideal boss. 11/10 would buy him a coffee.

From AniList to MyAnimeList

I think it’s a very general thing that most people make the switch from MyAnimeList (MAL) to AniList. AniList looks better than MAL, you can choose if you want titles to be in Japanese, English, or Romaji. Overall, it looks more modern so I’d like to think it’s likely that more people are now using AniList than MAL. 

I actually signed up for MAL in 2017 but never used in until yesterday. I switched because I was watching TheAnimeMan rank people’s anime ratings on MAL and it gave me the idea to use MAL.

Here’s the thing though: I’m only using MAL for manga. I have uploaded my anime stuff on there but I will only be uploading manga on to from now on. Same thing with AniList, I’ll only be uploading anime on it. 

I finally said the word manga ʕ◉ᴥ◉ʔ

WHAT HAVE I BEEN READING LATELY!!!

Last time, I said that I REALLY wanted to read Vagabond but I didn’t want to wait eighteen years for the next update (I think it’s on hiatus right now) (it’s the eighteenth of August 2020 as I’m writing this). Instead of reading manga, I decided to watch A Place Further than the Universe. It’s an anime original so it would be considered the original material.

Really.

Good.

If you haven’t watched it, go watch it. It’s only thirteen episodes so it should take a day, probably less than that. 

Anyways, after I finished watching it, I went STRAIGHT to KHR again only to be tormented, once again, with awful scans. It’s just that KHR is in an amazing place right now and I really want to keep reading but THE SCANS. THE SCANS MAKE ME CRY ╥﹏╥

I came across this manga Imadoki no Wakai Mon wa. The scans only have up to chapter ten right now and I don’t think there have been updates for quite some time. The chapters are insanely short, the theme is repetitive but it’s really cute so I don’t mind it. It’s about this girl’s boss who is really nice and she really likes him. It’s INSANELY short so if you don’t mind cute repetitiveness, you should read it. It takes less than fifteen minutes to read and get up-to-date.

After that, I read the first chapter of Altair: A Record of Battles but couldn’t get into it because I was still thinking about KHR. Then, I watched a YouTube video listing manga that we should be reading and on the list was.........

Record of Ragnarok, also known as Shuumatsu no Valkyrie. It’s a manga about thirteen gods and thirteen humans that are chosen to fight against each other. If the humans win, they get to continue to live for another thousand years but if the gods wins, they will wipe the humans from existence.

It’s CRAZY. Full of epic fights (I’m only on the third fight between Sasaki Kojiro and Poseidon) and it’s amazing. It’s so awesome. I think it has thirty-five chapters right now? The art is absolutely disgusting, in a good way. It’s not like the pretty art you see in most manga. It’s brutal, it’s real, and it totally fits the story.

If you like brutal, epic, awesome fights, and no bullcrap, I definitely recommend it.
