» that just gives him more incentive to spend more time with you!! loves helping you train, he sees your potential and wants to help you reach it to its fullest

» sparring matches are hardcore with this dude, ngl

» because he wants you to do well he will NOT hold bad, remember the training camp arc? he’s gonna do that with you

» expect to be pushed to your limits

» but you receive the best care afterward so it’s worth it <3 bby boy almost feels bad but you both understand it’s a necessary part of gaining control of your power

» will ask you to use your quirk for minor things outside of training bc he’s a LAZY motherfucker

» “Will you hand me the remote, kitten?”

» “Hitoshi I’m literally in the middle of cooking dinner.”

» “Yea? And??”

» you do it anyway because the pouty look he shoots you over the back of the couch makes you knees turn into jelly

» because you’re still learning to control your quirk, there are times where you’ll use it without even realizing

» and of course shinsou thinks it the cutest thing he’s ever seen

» you’ll just be reading a book or watching a show and get REALLY into it; like, sitting on the edge of your seat on the couch, eyes wide open, mouth agape

» next thing you know your feet leave the floor and shinsou wakes up from his nap on the other side of the couch because he’s literally floating

» he’s learned to subtly bring it to your attention because screaming “WOAH WOAH WOAH Y/N” only makes you drop him in surprise

» his favorite thing is when you sneeze and suddenly the spoon in your hand is sent flying across the room

» ALWAYS laughs at how you sheepishly apologize every time

» overall I think Shinsou would be super helpful to you and harnessing your abilities. he does it out of his own love for you and because he just wants to see you succeed!

» he adores you and your quirk no matter what <3

» todoroki is also incredibly supportive in regards to helping you control your quirk, but i don’t think he’d try to push you as hard

» pushing your abilities just reminds him of his experiences with his father and he doesn’t want to resemble him in any way, especially when it comes to you :(

» but that doesn’t mean his training tactics aren’t helpful!!

» he admires tf out of you because he sees so much of his own desire to be the best you can be in you

» also bc he’s madly in love with you but that’s beside the point moving on

» during sparring, he’ll focus a lot on unpredictability and really urge you to use your brain during combat

» doesn’t use his fire a lot because he doesn’t want to accidentally burn you (no matter how many times you tell him you can take it ffs)

» secretly he knows for a fact that you can handle it but he just doesn’t trust himself enough

» expect lots of breaks during training, and him constantly asking if you’re still okay and want to keep going

» will stop everything when he sees that exhausted look in your eye (even if you get mad n tell him you can keep going)

» but you really can’t complain when he helps you relax with a nice bath/shower and lots of soba after :)

» he’ll probably also ask you to use your quirk for minuscule things outside of training but mostly just to keep you on your toes

» “Shoto do I REALLY need to fold the laundry like this? My hands are perfectly capable.”

» “Practice makes perfect, Y/N.”

» i can see him getting a little concerned the first time you use your ability without knowing, especially if it’s a potentially dangerous situation like working in the kitchen lowkey has ptsd flashbacks, poor baby

» but now he just thinks it’s adorable

» especially when you sneeze and suddenly he’s getting clocked in the head with a tissue box

» ALWAYS kisses your forehead and tells you it’s okay before you can apologize because he’s a sweetheart 😤

» todoroki is all about gradual growth when it comes to perfecting your craft, and at the end of the day, you really can’t complain because he never fails to help you to feel proud of your progress
