Fankids appreciation week: day 7 - family dynamics

This moodboard could fit a lot of my families but ofc I’m doing the Perphyra’s. The Perphyra’s consist of Ayas Perphyra and Cassandra Salas, Jason and Yasmine Shadid, Viktor Sr and Elizabeth Somerset (@camillejeaneshphm), Viktor Jr, Pietro, Anatoly and Ashley Lestrange, Sinncere, Jebron and Jimena Galardo (@endlessly-cursed). With a family who has so many different personalities, they are bound to clash at some point and in this family…it might as well be a daily occurrence. Most of the clashing is just them asking stupid scenarios which leads to a whole bunch of arguing.

Fankids appreciation week: Day 6- football team

Fell asleep before I posted this yesterday

Most of the ppl on here are related and then Xanxus was the leftover oc (no offense). Jason is the son of Ayas, the father of Viktor, the grandfather of Jr, Pietro and Anatoly. Xanxus is one Dimitri’s children and he’s the youngest.

Jason owns a magical creatures sanctuary, he and his best friend, Israel, take in injured creatures and nurse them back to health. After that it’s up to the creatures if they want to leave or not.

Viktor Sr grew up in Egypt with his maternal grandparents before he moved to Scotland so he could attend Hogwarts and actually remember meeting his paternal grandparents. During Hogwarts his best friends had joined the death eaters so he did too, like maybe 5-6 years into it they all eventually deflected and became spies. He now teaches Alchemy at Hogwarts to the students who choose to take it during the 6th and 7th years (the potions professor is an ex death eater, the alchemy professor is an ex death eater and the both of them are spies…Dumbledore clearly has a type)

Viktor Jr was a little shit growing up so it was a surprise to everyone when he got into Hufflepuff, all of them forgetting loyalty is the trait of hufflepuff not niceness. His father pissed him off day so on a whim he joined the death eaters with Lucius who was forced to join seeing as Voldy was permanently in his house. Viktor was mainly a lawyer and didn’t do most of the dirty work that came with being a death eater. He is also a vampire.

Pietro is my aroace non-binary (they/them/he/him) vampire baby, their career is really on a three-way fence right now between a chef, a doctor or living off of his inheritance. Unless there is family drama (Anatoly and their father for the most of it) Pietro does not care for their family besides their mother and grandparents. He usually distances himself from them until they specifically ask for him in which he’ll be there but not happily.

Anatoly is a happy baker in New Zealand and crochets in his free time. When he’s not doing one of those two things, he is playing with his sons in the backyard or teaching them how to play board games/card games. And when he’s not doing that, he’s bothering his wife with his countless antics

Xanxus is a little underdeveloped but he’s got a few traits about him so far. You can’t really see it in the picrew above but he is wheelchair bound and has a hearing aid for his left ear from an accident when he was 12. He likes to collect Pokémon games like they are the cards and spends most of his time playing on his pc whenever he’s home for the summer.

Viktor sat on the bottom of the steps bouncing a ball against the box in front of his feet listening to his parents talking to his grandparents

“Let’s go wolfie, ready to see your new room?” Jason, Viktor’s father, said walking over to Viktor who was ignoring him in favor of throwing the ball at the box again. Jason sighed and picked up the ball as it rolled across his shoes “The move was so your mom and I would be closer to the reserve and you can bond with my parents!” He said the last part enthusiastically as this was the first time Viktor has left Egypt since he was 4

Viktor glared up at his father with a bit of resentment as he picked up the light box and walked up the stairs “I didn’t want to move away from my home, of course I’m upset”

Whilst he was stomping up the stairs, Jason spelled the ball to land on the closed box “Second door on the right Wolfie!”

“Piss off!” Viktor shouted and a couple moments later a door slammed shut from upstairs

Jason sighed at Viktor’s words as that was probably the only thing he has said since they left Egypt a couple hours ago

Dinner time

Ayas walked into the dining room to see that his wife, son and daughter-in-law were sat down at the table talking but Viktor was nowhere to be seen “Where’s Viktor?”

“Holed up in his room mad, he won’t talk to us” Yasmine said over at Ayas who was leaning on his cane “Jason sent a house elf up to tell him dinner was ready”

Viktor turned his head at the sound of a pop to see a little creature dressed in an oversized shirt standing there “What the hell…what are you?” He said taking his toad off of his chest and sitting up to stare at the little creature

“I’m tipsy, I’m a house elf. Your father told me to tell you that dinner is ready” the house elf said with a polite smile on its face

Viktor nodded his head and laid back down on his bed “What’s for dinner?”

“Chili”

“I’ll just eat in my room if that’s ok” Viktor said leaning back up again at the mention of chili, Tipsy nodded her head and popped out to grab his food

He is a first generation elf to have been fully raised in the human realm

Jason as most wood elves have nature magic and connections with animals but because I said so, Jason has a stronger connection with mother nature and her inhabitants

Jason met his best friend Israel in Ethiopia while he was working on finding a niffler that was running around the muggle world

HISTORY

When Ayas was a few months old, he was abandoned at the Knight Corps headquarters and grew up there for all of his life. The head captain in Nytranthyr, Captain Sparrow, did some basic run of the mill dna tests so he could see if Ayas had any birth defects. Sparrow found out that Ayas is half orc, as someone who doesn’t particularly like orcs Sparrow decided he would make Ayas his lab rat. When he was 5, that's when he was first used as a training dummy for some new recruits for the knight corps. When he was 6, that’s when Sparrow first started using him as a lab rat for his experimental potions and spells, most of which hospitalized him and left him immobile for a few weeks. His orc genes can only do so much to help the healing process.

1. Canon or Fiction? If your family is a Canon one you made your own: What drew you to that specific family? Did you make any changes to Canon, and if so, why? If your family is completely original: Where did the Family name come from? What was your inspiration and who was the first OC you created for it?

The Perphyra family is an original family that I made while I was creating a realm called Eseria and the ocs that came along with that realm. I don’t remember where the name came from as I was just writing down possible surnames for ocs from that realm. The first oc I created for it was Ayas Perphyra, my little orphan who left Eseria the second he turned 18.

2. Family Ties: What other families are related/connected to this one? Are they Canon families or creator made families? (Tag them!)

The Perphyra’s are connected to three canon familes and two creator made family. They are connected to the Somerset’s through marriage of Elizabeth Somerset (@camillejeaneshphm) and Viktor Perphyra, the Shadid family (creator made) through the marriage of Yasmine Shadid and Jason Perphyra.

The Lestrange’s through the marriage of Ashley Lestrange and Anatoly Perphyra, The Greengrass family through (as of right now in Nico canon timeline) the courting of Daphne Greengrass and Jebron Perphyra, and last but not least the Rowle Family through the courting of Dotta Rowle and Sinncere Perphyra

3. Foundations: What year and which OC was the founder of the family line? If the family goes back hundreds of years and you don’t know the first member, tell us about the oldest OC in the family you have created.

The Perphyra family goes back to the 1800s and Ayas Perphyra was the founder of the family line. They weren’t a big family cause it was really just Ayas by his scammer self so he decided that if was going to leave his home realm, he might as well make a name for himself. So he decided to load up a bag with a bunch of Eseria money currency, trade it at gringotts for a whole lot more money with the goblins. Then he started his trading business with a bunch of items from Eseria and made it seem like they could only be found in Eseria.

4. Fun Facts: Do you have any misc lore you have that you haven’t had a chance to post about? Talk about anything you like!

Most if not all the perphyra born kids get Ayas’s elven magic, the exception is Pietro because he refuses to acknowledge the elven magic. The strongest elven magic being shown in the twins and Jason

Half of the Perphyra family are creatures besides Elves, Jason & Viktor are Werewolves and Pietro & Viktor Jr are vampires. Ayas, Anatoly and the twins being elves

Pietro is non-binary and aroace, Anatoly is bi and we have the token straight sibling Jr

The twins have twin telepathy because I said so

Because of the elven magic, wandless magic comes naturally to the Perphyra family as does knowledge of nature and creatures.

Damn this is going to be a long one since I’m going to answer with all the Ocs

HPHM

Kazumi is used to basically being the parent to his younger siblings so he started treating his friends how he would treat his siblings when they were hurt. He also regularly brings snacks for them which is odd considering his…antics

The others are definitely not mom friends at all more like “Do it, you won’t” friends

HPMA

Molly and Jason are the mom friends and it manifested because they have to make sure everyone eats, drinks water, doesn’t get into unnecessary fights and gets a decent sleep schedule (Most of this is directed to Efesto and Dylan, Alex and Levi are a bit more sensible than those two about their habits)

Teen wolf

I wouldn’t exactly call Enzo a mom friend but he’s getting pretty close to being the mom friend with how much he’s constantly worrying for other people’s safety

Non fandom

For the adults, Kiyoshi is the mom friend because he’s the only one with a head/common sense and everyone calls him the mom friend anyway

For the kids, Yamataka is the mom friend because when ever one of his idiots are in trouble they mostly stay at his house until everything blows over *ahem* Apollo and the Yakuza incident *ahem* @night-rhea 😉
