I’m having so much fun imagining a post-jerklie-divorce scenario where it’s reported that Karlie is staying with Taylor (like Sophie Turner did) and all the shocked swiffers gear up to write their ‘stay away from her’ soliloquies… but their brains glitch for a moment when they remember Taylor telling them off for berating her about MH. The moral dilemma of hating Karlie but (hopefully) realising they can’t say anything lest Taylor call them pearl-clutching vipers in empath’s clothing who think they know what’s best for her 😹

It’s just endlessly funny to me how blindsided they were by MH while we had the luxury of knowing it wasn’t a real relationship, so we could reason ‘her beards usually parallel stories she wants to tell about Karlie so…’ I remember some of us theorised the most likely reason for her to take that hit to her image was she probably had some forbidden love / BDILH-themed songs in the works. and here we are!

Now they’re stuck trying to shoehorn MH into the timeline and unintentionally getting so close to seeing the golden Karlie thread that runs through every album since 1989! mastermind shit.

Late June 2019 / Cruel Summer / Why Now?

Remember when Taylor and Karlie posted these photos on June 28, 2019? Two days before news broke about the sale of her masters. While there was a feeling in the air that something big might happen for Taylor at the end of pride month.

Now, on October 18, 2023, Taylor is releasing new versions of Cruel Summer with a new photo from that photoshoot we first saw in late June 2019.

Calling back to this photoshoot is a choice. Now obviously, the masters heist was cruel. But we know there was likely something else cruel going on behind the scenes. Some kind of derailment for big plans.

Why do it now? On October 18th? Jerklie’s faux anniversary? Is there tea to be sipped? Is it the calm before the storm?

She may have also been referencing 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿’s “nailed to the wall” date today too. Which has always felt, to me, like the agreed upon Jerklie divorce timeline.

Is something coming? Hmm. 🤔

I think the kid that appears in the pap walk with josh nd karlie is Josh's kid nd Karlie is playing the aunt,cz why would taylor nd karlie allow their kid's face to be shown (if simply just searched the kid's face is revealed in some websites) nd again what are the chances that it's a girl or a boy? Taylor releasing Robin has completely floored me though in thinking maybe she really is burning it all down and whoever is taken down in the process as far as Beards is collateral damage

I’m honestly in shock right now.

I thought the Jerklie split was coming first, but hey, I’ll take it! What I didn’t expect was for this news to come mid-tour. I thought for sure she’d announce such a thing either before or after, but I think this shows she really wants to keep it quiet and let it blow over quickly. I doubt she’ll acknowledge it at all in her shows, and considering that she knows fans have been tracking the tour and set list very closely, this is a smart move. It’ll be business as usual on set, and that will keep people from talking too much.

I’m tempted to say “Okay, Kar, you’re next!” But I think for now I’m just going to enjoy (ie, absolutely BASK IN) this beautiful, long-awaited moment.

Taylor, I am so proud of you. One step closer toward your truth!

aw anon! if i can share what has worked for me, i have found that all of this can have much less sway on my psyche if i assume that taylor and karlie have come to a rhythm that works for them presently, as they have been navigating the introduction of new variables into their life.

when i started thinking about it that way, i found my heart could focus better on cheering them on as they move through this chapter, which is something i wanted to continue to do.

Tbh, I'm not sure I agree with all you wrote. Taylor's beard reached new levels of annoying lately. He used to be seen as harmless... not anymore. Sure, he's still bland and boring, but not the same from before. I can't stand jerk either, but you probably won't see me actively posting about any of them. They don't deserve the attention and nothing good ever comes from talking too much about them anyway. Hopefully, the girls are happy and that's what I wish for them. SR, I know we've talked about how the girls can't say they've actually been together all this time without people having a meltdown over it. We discussed what narrative they could use and I had some shower thoughts while listening to But Daddy I Love Him- they’re a bit scattered but I wanted to hear others' thoughts.

What if after the Jerklie split (🤞), they can say there were mutual feelings in the past but they never confessed to each other. When they started spending time together recently, the spark was still there and they decided to give it a try.

I was also thinking Taylor could say that she had to step away from the friendship because it hurt to see Karlie in a happy relationship (this could preserve K's bearding and explain why they quit spending time together). She could also say that some of her Kaylor songs were really a what-if that she wanted to play out with her storytelling and could also help seed for her fans that while she honestly tried to move on, she couldn't forget about Karlie who is the love of her life.

I think her fans would agree that Karlie didn't do anything unforgivable and they would change their tune to make Taylor happy.

Any other ideas our girls could use? I've enjoyed the lighthearted posts we've had lately. Sending you 🩵

I do not see them ever directly discussing the past unless it’s a tell-all many years down the road. People can figure it out if they want. She is telling them she was closeted in her songs. 2+2=4 to most people. This is also where we come in handy. We are telling their truth that they cannot. We have a bigger viewership than we realize. I know the number of followers on this blog took another jump after TTPD was released.

Taylor sharing her truth? This would very much surprise me too, especially since she still has tour dates on the books. Her last show before her 2 month+ break is 8/20. I guess she could share what she wants to share then let it soak in for a few months. But still it seems far fetched to think about. You’d think she want the option to be out of the spotlight depending on how she feels.
