Jwcc vent.
Imagine being Darius’s mother, losing your husband to an illness months ago. Then your dinosaur loving son wants to go the place that was his and his fathers dream, Jurassic world. The park tanks, he doesn’t come home, you think he’s dead.
Imagine being Bens mother, you send your quiet reserved son to Jurassic world to help him grow and come out of his shell. The park tanks, he doesn’t come home, you think he’s dead.
Imagine being Yaz’s mother, your track star daughter is sponsored by Jurassic world and gets to go experience camp Cretaceous. The park tanks, she doesn’t come home, you think she’s dead.
Imagine being Sammy’s parents, your ranch is in danger so borrow money, to save it. Your daughter is offered to go to Jurassic world, to spy. You say no, she goes anyway. The park tanks, she doesn’t come home, you think she’s dead.
And now imagine being Daniel Kon, you send your son to the camp as you work for Mr Masrani. The park tanks. Your son didn’t come home. You are rich, powerful, available to afford to go to the island, you got a distress call from the island.
And you do nothing.

Season 5 Spoiler Story Part 1: What if Ben had stayed on the island at the end of season 3?
WARNING: Ben has a minor panic attack in this, it's nothing worse than we conically see, I hope, but I wanted to give you all a heads up. If that can trigger you then please skip this story, it's definitely not worth it. Also, I may be over thinking it, but I'd rather no one read it than even one of you have a bad reaction to it.
Also, season 5 spoiler warning. And I'm not sure how long season 4 is, so I'm making this set 2 weeks after the kids left, give or take a few days, and yes, I do over think everything. I hope you enjoy.
Also, this is not a Kenji Ben ship story. They are friends in this, and I don't want you to think I'm taunting you just because I can't right friendships correctly.
. . .
Things were great; Kenji's presentation for Dodgeson had gone perfectly, his dad was proud of him, and he knew where to get the rest of the list. Things were great. . .
If he ignored the fact that  his so called ‘friends’ betrayed him a few days ago. . . Or that he left them locked in a room with a killer Brad-X guarding them. . . Or that they weren’t family anymore. . .
Other than that, Kenji was fine, happy even. . . Wait! What was wrong with him? He was a Kon for crying out loud! Kons don’t get sad, they don’t regret things, especially since they deserved it.
Suddenly the car jerked to a stop, and the thundering sound of an ankylosaurus herd filled the air. Hawkins and a few others got out to aim their guns, but they were to late.
“We spooked them,” he whispered when, as if on cue, a rustling came from the bushes. Followed by a voice. . .
A familiar voice, a voice Kenji thought he would never hear again. . .
“I’m just saying, Bumper-Car, if you hadn’t insisted on getting those berries, we wouldn’t have fallen behind.” A soft roar replied, “yes, I know the ones on top are the best ones, but you should’ve eaten them earlier.”
A small, blue ankylosaurus broke through the bushes, one of her head horns was smaller than the other, but everyone was more focused on the boy sitting on her back. He was covered in mud from head to toe, and was holding some kind of spear, focusing on sharpening it with a rock.
The dinosaur came to a stop. “What’s wrong, Bumpy.” He finally looked up, and froze.
“Ben?” Kenji asked, almost in a whisper, “Bumpy?”
“Kenji?” Ben couldn’t believe it either.
“BEN!”
“KENJI!”
Ben jumped off Bumpy, and tackled Kenji in a hug. “What are you doing here? I thought you went home? This isn't a rescue mission, is it?  Because I told you I wanted to stay,” he said after about a minute of them just hugging.
“Ha ha ha!” Kenji began laughing as he broke the hug. “About that. . .”
Ben looked behind him, and gasped, “what is he doing here?” He demanded when he saw Hawkes.
“It’s a long story, but he’s a good guy now,” Kenji explained. “Oh, and guess what?” He walked to Daniel, “this is my dad!” He proudly exclaimed.
“Daniel Kon,” he reached out his hand, “you must be Ben. Kenji has told me so much about you.”
To everyone’s surprise, Ben didn’t accept the handshake. “Oh, he did, did he?” Shocked, Daniel lowered his hand, “yes, that you had a golden ticket home, and yet you chose to stay behind. And all for a dinosaur,” he smiled. “I don’t know if i would have been able to do the same.”
“Well, I do love Bumpy.” He began petting her, “I raised her from an egg, after all.”
“Exactly! Standing up for someone you love, especially in such a drastic way… And for that, you have my respect.” Daniel finished his speech.
Kenji couldn’t believe it; He had spent his whole life trying to gain his father’s respect, and Ben just earned it in 5 minutes. . . And he refused to shake his hand?
“Oh, um, thanks,” Ben said, a little awkwardly. “Wait, so if you're not here to rescue me, why are you here?” He asked.
“Well, it’s kind of a long story-” Kenji was interrupted by Daniel.
“Just some business we need to take care of. You see, my good friend Lewis Dodgeson here,” he gestured to the man, “has hired us to gather some samples from the dinosaurs here.” He explained.
“Glad to meet you, Daniel, can we talk?” He asked.
“Of course!” The two walked to the other end of the clearing, out of earshot.
Mae saw her chance, and took it. “Hello Ben, it is so nice to finally meet you! I've heard such wonderful things about you, both of you.”  She gestured to Bumpy, “May I?”
“Of course, just be gentle, she doesn’t like strangers much,” he explained.
Mae slowly reached for Bumpy, only for Bumpy to nudge her head against her hand. “Oh, she is so sweet!” “Ben, this is Dr. May Turner.” Kenji introduced her.
“Oh, my. Where are my manners?” She stopped petting Bumpy to face Ben, “I’m sorry for being so rude. I’m just so excited to see a real, live ankylosaur.” She held out her hand and, to Kenji's shock, he took it.
“Ben Pincus. And I understand, it’s not everyday you meet the best dinosaur to ever exist!” He smiled.
“Oh, don’t I know it. I have a kentrosaurus named Pierce back home.” She looked longingly at Bumpy, obviously wishing this was Peirce instead.
Ben turned his attention back to Kenji, “so, did you guys make it home ok? What did you tell my parents? What did they say? Did the new Esther Stone episodes drop yet?” He dramatically grabbed Kenji’s arm and began to shake it. “I need answers, man, ANSWERS!”
“Ok, first, remember when we first found you, and you said we weren’t getting our use of the mosasaurs?” He asked, Ben nodded, “well, you jinxed us! It got out of its tank, and attacked us about a day into our trip.”
Ben’s face turned to panic. “No! Are you all ok? What happened? Where are the others? Oh, man, I should’ve gone with you!” He had his hands on his head, and began pacing. His breathing had picked up, and his eyes were wide.
“Hey, it’s alright…” He trailed off as Bumpy raced to Ben’s side; She gave off some soft roars and nudged his side.
Both Kenji and Mae (and Daniel, Dodgson and Hawkes, unbeknownst to them), watched as Ben slowly calmed down, and began to pet Bumpy. “Thanks Bumper-Car.” He finally spoke. Then he took a deep breath and turned to the others. “Sorry guys, I lost my head there for a second. You were saying. . .”
Kenji was shocked: He knew Bumpy and Ben had a special connection, but how did she just know to do that? Has this happened before? When? After he left the island… Before?
Mae was the first to act. “The others are fine, Ben, we just left them behind on Manta Corp. Island.” When he sighed in relief, she added “that was incredible! By the way.”
Ben looked confused, “what?”
“The way Bumpy helped you with that panic attack!” She said like it was the most obvious thing in the world. “Service dogs have to be trained for years before they can do things like that, and she’s not even 8 months old! Fascinating,” she pulled out a notebook and began taking notes.
Ben paled, “oh no, Mae, that wasn’t a panic attack.”
“It wasn’t?” She questioned.
“Nope! I don’t get those, but I do get stressed out sometimes,” he explained, “and she does help me out with that, though.”
“Ok, and how long has she been doing this?” She asked cautiously. “And does she help you in any other ways? Does this happen often?”
“Ever since I fell off the monorail.” He said like it was no big deal. “I get stressed, Bumpy calms me down, like you just saw. Or, if I’m sitting down, she rests her head in my lap.” He laughed, “once, she knocked me to the ground and just laid her head on me, not letting me up for like an hour. And, it used to be every day before I lost her and every other week after I found the others ” He looked at Mae, “Why do you ask?”
“Because, with no training at all, Bumpy is acting like a service dog, even though you don’t get panic attacks.” She added quickly.
He smiled proudly, “well, she is very special.”
“Indeed she is.”
Kenji finally found his voice, “What do you mean you lost her?” He asked.
“Oh, after about, I don’t know, 2-3 weeks of just us, I got mad and chased her away. I didn’t see her again until the day I found you.” He explained.
“Ben,” Kenji said slowly, “that was like a month later.”
“I know, I wasted so much time away from her. But now I can make up that time.” He smiled, like he wasn’t talking craziness or dropping bombshells on Kenji.
“I hate to break this up,” Daniel interrupted as he joined the group, but we need to get moving.”
“Just, 5 more minutes dad, please?” Kenji boarderlined begged.
“No, but why don’t you go catch up with Ben on your own; I’ll send you with a tranq gun and you can be back to the penthouse by dark.” He offered.
“Really? Thank you, thank you, thank you!” He said as he hugged him.
“Of course! And Ben,” he turned his focus to the jungle child, “you are welcome to join us for dinner. It’s nothing fancy, just some fish and vegetables, with pudding for dessert, but it might be a nice change from whatever you’ve been eating out here thus far.”
“Wow? Really?” He nodded, “thank you. Can I bring anything? I can gather some of the best berries ever or catch some grubs.”  Ben offered.
“NO!” Kenji shouted, then lowered his voice, “no grubs! Please, I am begging you, no grubs!”
“Indeed, no grubs needed,” Daniel added, “although I would love to taste those berries, if you don’t mind.”
“One order of berries, coming right up!” He grabbed his previously forgotten spear from the ground, and climbed Bumpy. “Ready when you are, City Boy,” he joked.
Kenji grabbed his tranquilizer gun, and climbed up, “whenever you are, Jungle Boy!”
“Great! Because I cannot wait for you to meet the rest of my herd!” . . .
. . .
And that is part one. I hope you enjoyed it, part 2 should be out in a few days, but I don't know how to link them yet, so just be on the lookout. I hope you liked it and I hope you have a great day.

Jwcc ending spoilers
That ending was perfect (except for bens eyes but whatever we’ll at the moment)
(I don’t really care about dauris brother really I know some people do but I wasn’t so he won’t be mentioned a lot)
That moment where the nublar 6 see the rest of there camp fam (plus Brandon) and they all hug them was so adorable and I actually liked it better than there reunion with there family’s (probably because I know Dave and Roxy and may) I think my favorite of the them was yaz,Sammy and Roxy but I may be bias. The three of them just looked so happy and all of their reactions really show how much all the kids appreciated the adults caring about them (they deserve more but I digress) and for Roxy a woman who didn’t show a lot of emotion and was the stricter counselor you can see how much she cares about the kids. I loved that dave was not going to settle for a fist numb from kenji and went in for a full hug. And may, Brooklyn and Ben was also adorable I just don’t have much to talk about it. Dauirs was so happy to see his brother and I was so happy for him.
Time jumó
Love that kenji is now dauris brother, dauris is an internet star that talks about dinosaurs and his experience with them, Brooklyn cut her hair and is working as some kind of detective also that her and kenji are still together even what I assume is long distance, yaz and Sammy are still together and spending time at Sammy’s farm (and that Sammy’s farm is still supplying the meat for the island) Ben still gose back to the island and that they now have a secret island that may works at that kenji pays for (I had a head canon for that and I was exactly right but I was pretty close) bumpy is still thriving along with Pierce, Daniel kon is in prison cash is dead all is well (well except for the dinosaurs not on islands that’s not good)

Sweater Weather Ch.8
Hi guys!
So exciting news. Sweater Weather is almost complete at this point to where I will try to post the latest chapters Wednesdays and Sundays. I'm really jazzed that I'm going to wrap this project up and excited to get started on new ones.
As always, thanks for being so patient and I cant wait to bring you guys more content this autumn season!
-----------------------------------------------
Ben woke up with Kenji’s face in his stomach, his body folded over him as he rest on a pillow laid over the larger man’s back.
The sun was just peeking through the trees and he heard a whine, Bumpy scratching at the front door.
“Kenji.” Ben called.
Kenji groaned.
“Kenji, Bumpy needs to go for a walk.” Ben said.
“No…”
“Kenji, we slept in the living room, come on.”
“I got her, Ben!” Carmen said and walked in the room, dressed in a cute set of rainbow snow boots and a matching jacket. “I’ll be back in fifteen minutes. You guys should take a power nap on the bed to straighten out your spines.”
“Thank you, Carmen.” Kenji said, voice muffled in Ben’s sternum.
Ben chuckled and pet the back of his head before lightly smacking it. “Come on.”
Kenji slapped his thigh back a little too hard.
“Ow! That hurt!” Ben huffed.
“I can kiss it better.” Kenji hummed.
“…you can reach more in bed.” Ben murmured and Kenji slid back and sat up.
“I’m up.” Kenji said and Ben laughed, pushing him back so he could hobble to their bedroom, pulling back the quilts and comforters and sliding in, Kenji not wasting a moment joining him.
Ben blushed and pulled him close, kissing his forehead as the larger man sighed softly. Kenji snuggled into the smaller man’s chest and Ben hugged him best he could.
“This is nice.” Kenji hummed and Ben chuckled.
“Yeah.”
He closed his eyes and for a moment, imagined dry grassland or manicured shrubbery around buildings in San Antonio.
He would wake up like this every morning. Maybe with Kenji curled around him, he curled around Kenji, back to back or to one of Kenji’s rare starfish moments. Ben would most likely wake up first and get coffee going, then whine for Kenji to cook something. They’d eat together, go to work, maybe shower or go grocery shopping together, Bumpy next to them on her leash.
Domestic and happy.
He didn’t think it was possible.
Some part of him felt he didn’t deserve it.
And a smaller part of him wanted to grab and hold on to the image of he and Kenji walking hand and hand into a building where people were laughing and hanging out, waving good morning to them and a wall of smiling families who they had helped near the door.
He felt Kenji’s breathing deepen and felt him relax into sleep, his fingers massaging his scalp through the black locks.
…could they get married and start a family too?
He blushed and hugged Kenji closer.
With both hands, he held on to the image tight.
He could be happy.
*
Ben woke to the smell of French toast, bacon and hazelnut coffee.
He blinked awake, noticing a large pillow in his arms instead of the firstborn Kon heir.
“Morning, Sleepybutt.” Kenji said as he walked in with a tray.
“Afternoon.” Ben said, glancing at the clock.
“Not noon yet.” Kenji said, holding the plate out. “And bacon is an all-day thing.”
“This is turkey bacon.” Ben said.
“Cause too much grease gives you heart burn.” Kenji said. “I listened to you complain on the phone with Sammy the other night.”
“I love you.” Ben sighed and took the plate, then froze.
Kenji was blushing and staring at him.
“I-I mean…”
“Yeah!” Kenji shouted. “I get it. Um, I forgot…cream! For the coffee!”
Kenji quickly escaped the room, leaving Ben to blush down at the food, hoping things couldn’t get more awkward.
*
Things got more awkward.
Ben and Kenji were walking to the lighthouse, hands brushing, but not touching after a tense brunch.
Carmen once again kept Bumpy close, Kenji asking Ben if he wanted to explore the old light house.
Trudging up the gravel path, they made it to the tall structure, Kenji opening the door for Ben.
“I thought this needs a lighthouse keeper.” Ben said.
“Owen checks on it every other night, but it’s fully on a timer and the diagnostics are sent to us if anything looks suspicious.” Kenji said.
“So…your lighthouse is on a timer?”
“Pretty much.” Kenji said. “Buuuut…”
He pulled Ben close and smiled.
“More privacy.” Kenji said and kissed Ben’s cold nose.
Ben scoffed and pushed him away, then started up the stairs, Kenji right behind him as they both raced to the top, Kenji winning with his longer legs. The smaller man panted and Kenji opened the door, the very breath leaving Ben as he walked out and saw over the lake.
“Oh…” He whispered and stared out over the water and snow.
Kenji came up behind him, hugging him around the waist. “What a view.”
Ben nodded.
They stood in silence for a moment, Kenji laying his cheek on the top of Ben’s head.
“You’d leave this for San Antonio?”
“I’d leave it for you and we’d visit together.”
“Kenji…” Ben turned. “I don’t want to be your reason for doing things.”
“What do you mean?”
“I’m not Brooklynn.”
Kenji gasped softly. “I…I won’t lie, I swear!”
“And you will improve yourself for yourself too.” Ben said. “Not go along with whatever I say so we avoid conflicts. Real couples fight, Kenji.”
“I…What if we fight too much or I mess up, or we never figure it out?”
“Look at us now, Kenji.” Ben said, taking his hands. “Look how much we’ve figured out already.”
The shorter man closed his eyes.
“We don’t love each other, maybe we won’t really, or maybe…maybe we’ll be happy together forever.” Ben said. “But don’t treat me as all or nothing just yet. Don’t use me as a prop. When we go to the ball, just be my boyfriend and nothing else.”
“So…real boyfriend instead of fake boyfriend?”
Ben leaned forward and kissed his nose. “Exactly that.”
Kenji chuckled and pulled Ben close.
“Hey!”
They both looked down to see Owen and Carmen at the bottom of the lighthouse, looking up at the two.
“We’re leaving tonight!” Owen yelled. “So get packing!”
Kenji sighed and rested his forehead on Ben’s.
“Rain check?”
“Yeah.” Ben said and they waved down before going to the stairs.
*
Ben smiled as they were loaded into a van, Carmen sitting in the back with Bumpy as Ben and Kenji took the middle seats, holding hands and snuggled up together as Owen drove them to Seattle from the large boathouse they had docked the yacht in.
“So, how’s everything?” The bodyguard/assistant asked.
“Great.” Kenji said, leaning his head on Ben’s.
“They finally got together.” Carmen called.
“What?!” Kenji yelled. “You knew too?!”
“I’m your on-site bodyguard for a reason, kid.” Owen said with a smile.
Ben chuckled and looked up at Kenji. The taller man sighed and settled back into their cuddle, Bumpy jumping over the seats to lay in Ben’s lap as Carmen put on her headphones and started playing her switch.
“Hey.” He said softly and Ben looked up, eyes hooded with content.
“Hey.”
“Wanna go for a walk after dinner?” Kenji asked.
“Dinner with your parents?” Ben asked with a smile.
“The restaurant is in the hotel. We can go out for an hour or two with Bumpy to a café or the Space Needle or the Great Wheel…”
“I think it might be a little too late for all that. But maybe a café after I tell your parents I want to extend my stay?” Ben asked.
Kenji grinned and hugged Ben close.
“Aw.” Owen cooed and Kenji kicked the back of his seat.
*
Ben and Kenji were placed in a room together, Bumpy having a plush pet bed next to theirs.
Kenji was laying on his back as Ben changed from his dinner clothes into something more casual.
Dinner had been amazing, Kosei and Candy looking well rested despite the constant planning and rechecking of the ball’s supplies and preparation.
“Ben.” Candy had said over dessert. “You, Carmen and I should go shopping tomorrow morning.”
“Mom…” Kenji whined.
“Oh, right. I forgot Ben probably will want to go back…” She murmured.
“Actually.” Ben said. “Carmen was telling me about New Years and…”
He blushed, Kenji smirking and taking his hand.
“We were wondering if we could stay past New Years.” Kenji finished.
“Of course!” Kosei said with a wide smile, surprising his family and Ben from his outburst.
Candy clapped her hands.
“The we are definitely doing that shopping trip!” She said. “Sorry, Baby.”
“It’s cool.” Kenji said. “Bumpy and I will just hang out with Dad.”
Kosei nodded.
Dinner went on, and now they were going to go on their walk, Bumpy zooming around in circles in her little green vest and booties.
“Ready?” He asked Kenji.
Kenji lifted his legs and swung them down, using the momentum to stand, doing a little jump.
“Yeah.” He said and pocketed their room key.
He took Ben’s hand, who lifted Bumpy in his other hand, her leash around his wrist.
“Let’s go.” He said.
Kenji led his boyfriend to the elevator, then down to the lobby where they were greeted by a few front desk employees and the doorman.
Ben put Bumpy down, who immediately sniffed at the plant beds and started tugging Ben along.
Kenji laughed and wrapped an arm around Ben’s waist as they walked.
“It’s so bright!” Ben said with a smile, looking at the lights and neon.
“Is it what you thought it would be?” Kenji asked. “Or better?”
Ben smiled at Kenji. “Way better.”
They sat on a bench, an awning keeping snow off it as Bumpy sniffed around and they stared at the lights. Kenji took Ben’s hand.
“Ben, would your Mom…Would she have liked me?”
Ben blinked and thought. “I think she would have.”
“What was she like?”
“Never mad. Like I never saw her mad. I saw her frustrated and stressed but she never snapped at me.” He said. “She had long dirty blond hair and it wasn’t soft, but it always smelled good. When she cut it, I kind of missed watching her brush it. But she said her arms felt heavy all the time and I would do it for her. I remember she would hum or sing every time she cooked. She made a baked potato soup that would warm you from the inside out. Dave can make it close but…There was something about hers.”
Ben sniffed and smiled.
“Everything she touched seemed so much better. It was like she only knew how to be nice and positive. Like your mom actually. I bet they would have been best friends. I bet maybe your mom’s food would have made her stronger. Carmen would be another baby and she would love Bumpy and…who am I kidding, Kenji, she would love you just for being my friend, let alone boyfriend.”
Kenji hugged Ben close.
“She sounds amazing.” He said and Ben sniffed.
“I miss her so much. I never…I never really…”
“My Mom and Carmen celebrate this holiday in October. Um, it’s a couple days to remember those who moved on. We have an altar at our main house. Could I uh…even if we don’t stay together…could I add her picture? So we remember her?”
“You’d do that?” Ben asked. “To remember a woman you never met?”
“No. I think I’ve met her.” Kenji said and cupped Ben’s cheek. “She sounds a bit like you.”
Ben chucked wetly and smiled, kissing Kenji softly. “Thank you.”
“For what?”
“Being you. I like you, Kenji Kon.” Ben said, getting up and holding out his hand.
Kenji smiled and took it.
“I like you too, Ben Pincus.”
He checked Bumpy and they started off again, hand in hand.
“So this café a favorite of yours?” Ben asked when he saw the shop at the edge of a plaza full of people talking and drinking coffee as a band played jazz in a covered outdoor stage in the middle.
“You know I—”
“Kenji?” A voice called and Ben felt his boyfriend freeze beside him as he looked towards their left.
A slender woman with pink hair and green eyes stood there with an older couple.
“Go on, I’ll just be a minute.” She told them and both men nodded and walked ahead towards the hotel, hand in hand.
Kenji gulped as one openly glared at him as they passed.
“Hi.” He said to her, Ben realizing who the girl was.
“Hi, Kenji.” She said, raising her chin. “Been a while.”
“How have you been, Brooklynn?”

Self indulgent series: Part 2.1
Life: Part 1
(Kenji x female reader, authors perspective) (the reader is a singer) (also: Some angst in here. I dunno why, but I just love writing some angst with fluff endings xD)
“So, let me get this straight”, the interviewer said, bewildered by the story the singer and songwriter Red Rose had brought up, “you met your now husband, Kenji Kon no less, on Jurassic World as one of the kids who got stranded for five months?”
“That’s correct”, she said. She had answered that very question a million times, but she couldn’t fault them for it: It was an unbelievable story (though she started to wonder how not everyone was aware by now that she was one of the teens back than).
“It was in December of 2015. I was thirteen years old and exited to be one of the first teens to visit Camp Cretaceous. I have to admit, I wasn’t and still am not, maybe even less than before, the biggest fan of dinosaurs. I’m not particularly interested in facts about them, but I definitely was interested in seeing some Dino action! So when I won first place at the talent show of my school-“
“Unsurprisingly”, the interviewer interluded at which the audience gave a collective chuckle.
“-I was still very excited about going to Jurassic World. My parents never wanted to go and in retrospect I can understand why. But you know: I was a naïve thirteen-year-old and didn’t think much about the consequences of the past. What happened at Jurassic Park you know? I was convinced Jurassic World was different and all worked out. Boy was I wrong! We all know it now! But at least I can say that I got, besides trauma, lifelong friends and my amazing husband out of it”
“That definitely can’t be disputed”, the interviewer agreed. Red Rose found him quite pleasant. Although he was a chatterbox, he was still very respectful and didn’t poke too much into the Jurassic World story: Although she was, for the most part, over the trauma, it was still a work in progress and it’s not a time she always remembers fondly. On most days she remembers the good moments she had with her newfound friends there, but sometimes she could feel the adrenaline rush through her as she thought of dinosaurs trying to eat her and her fellow campers. She saw flashes of sharp teeth and could feel hot, stinking breath and hear growls drawing shivers down her spine.  Red Rose liked to focus on the human part of the experience, so she preferred being able to tell the tale of Jurassic World the way she wanted without being asked too much…
“So, Kon helped you reach fame if I remember correctly?”, he asked.
“Definitely! Though, I mean: I was able to do most of what I’m doing. Teaching myself how to use certain programs. I taught myself how to sing and I’ve always written my own stuff…But I certainly wasn’t good at marketing myself or making myself grow.
Kenji and I became boyfriend and girlfriend when I was sixteen and he was eighteen. That same year we went on vacations for three weeks in the Caribbean’s. And “, she let out a laugh. The camera closed up on her and caught a smile and a glance that looked so touched by love anyone could feel how much she adored her spouse, “I remember how we went on the private part of the beach Kenjis father had purchased. I sat down on a hammock and a guitar and just started improvising and singing. Little did I know my boyfriend -gosh that sounds weird to say now- was filming me. He put it up on Instagram, and he already had quite a following back then, so it gained quite some attention. Though not necessarily because it was a nice scenery or any of that: But because people genuinely liked how I sing and the melody I had come up with. And well… it got wild from there. People soon requested I make my own Instagram page for making music.
A year later I was asked if I would like to produce some music and well… then my career started”
“That’s honestly such a cool and sweet story. Though how about an even sweeter reunion? Please welcome: Kenji Kon”
Red Rose got up from her seat with a wild jump, not as the eccentric, elegant yet kind of crazy minded artist, but as y/n Kon. As the wife who hadn’t seen her husband in person for a month because of the production of yet another movie starring him as the protagonist.
The crowd clapped in awe of him, as fans. She wanted to clap because her heart was clapping too. Her heart was dancing a tango inside of chest as though she was seeing her middle school crush in the hallway. His dark eyes, ridden with depth met her y/e.c. ones and all they could read in each other’s eyes was happiness and love.
This happened within miliseconds, but it passed by in slow motion for her, so she perceived herself running towards him with calm. For the rest of the world however she was perceived as looking like a golden retriever who had missed his owner whilst they were at work and were ready to play.
It was adorable. It was downright touching how the couple met each other halfway and gave each other a long, passionate yet gentle kiss (so that it wouldn’t be too inappropriate for life TV).
“Not to be giddy, but you really are a couple to die for”, the interviewer said. The audience half chuckled half yelled in agreement. She felt her cheeks blush in a deep dark shade of red and heard her husband chuckle in embarrassment. She looked down to her and whispered “Hello love”
Kenji had, unsurprisingly, had found joy in being actor. Being dramatic and showing his face on camera all the time? Perfect!
And he honest to god was a great actor. Though it did get annoying from time to time that he was casted as either the pretty faced villain or the charming, perfect love interest. Sometimes he was even both.
Y/n didn’t like to admit it, but she was quite jealous at the beginning when she saw him kiss other men and women on screen. It took a big fight for her to admit that.
She wasn’t proud of that fight at all. She had been, without wanting to, been very critical of her then fiancé (it was about six months before they got married). She would call him several times a day when he was on set of a particularly spicy rom com and observe his socials every couple of minutes. Y/n remembers her friends teasing her about it in the beginning and then eventually scold her. “Don’t you trust him?”, they had asked and she had answered, “I do….”, and they knew she was telling the truth, yet there was more behind it.
Kenji soon caught up and noticed her strange clinginess.
“What is up with you, Y/N? You know I have work to do! You can’t call me that often on set!”, he had yelled when the topic came up. He had been visiting for the weekend before he would go back on set.
“Why not? Can a girl not talk to her fiancé?”, she had asked with a sharp undertone
“Of course, you can darling. But twenty times a day is simply too much!”, he argued, yet he tried keeping his tone softer.
“I don’t call that often”, she pouted
“Oh YES you do!”, he put his phone out and showed her the times she had called just the other day. She counted about thirty, “I was nice with that number!”
“And? So what? You can just put your phone on silent”
“Yes, of course I can. This isn’t about solving the notification issue it’s about solving your trust issues towards me. Why don’t you trust me?”, as he asked the question his anger had subsided and genuine hurt showed in his eyes in his voice, “you monitor me like I’m an inmate”
“I…”, she was only able to say, her throat suddenly seemed dry, “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to… I…”, she couldn’t find the right words to explain it. It hurt too much to admit. She thought she had been over that thought pattern a long time ago, but it had returned to her.
“What? What have I done to deserve this?”, he asked, “Why are you even with me, if who I am disturbs you so much?”
And that… that sentence had hurt her more than that ugly thing inside of her she hadn’t wanted to face.
“You fool!”, she screamed in fury as the sentence he had uttered stung, her eyes filling with endless tears, “How could you ever think you disturb me? You are the most beautiful, wonderful human being I know, inside and out. And on top of that you are incredibly kindhearted. And that’s why I’m like this… I don’t want to lose you. And it’s not that I don’t trust you: I highly doubt you’d ever cheat on anyone. You are too kind for that. But I fear… I feared when you are together with all these good-looking actors you might not find me enough anymore. I know it’s stupid, but you see: The past haunted me again. When I was called fat. When I was called not-good-enough. When I read social media comments saying you’re out of my league and I don’t deserve you. Ugly words that ate me up inside when I was a child and young teen. I thought I was past that but I…I…”, now the tears were too many and her words died with hiccups. She felt his form surround her in a hug that felt so warm and yet sharp as knifes. She loved his touch but felt guilty for not opening up about this sooner. She had never wanted to be like this, but alas she had been too much of a coward to burden him or herself with this.
“Love”, he whispered after comforting her for a couple of minutes, “Look at me”
She lifted her head. Her eyes were red and puffy, her lips were dark pink, and tears had run streaks across her cheeks. It broke Kenji to have hurt her so deeply, yet he also knew that it wasn’t his fault. It was however his responsibility, to clear this up once and for all.
“Love listen”, he started, “I completely understand your jealousy. But we’ve been together for almost ten years and in all that time, I’ve never encountered a woman more incredible, deeply fascinating and intrinsically beautiful as you. No acted kiss could bring me away from you, no sexy actor could keep my mind from ever wishing for more than to be by your side. I’ve been by your side for almost six years: What should change now?
The monster from your past is, as already stated: Past. Their words were untrue. These people were in pain themselves when they caused you pain. You were a target to unleash the inner turmoil of others. It’s no excuse but it is the explanation. Those who feel they must hurt others are those who seek the most attention and power because they’d be devoid of having a self. I should know: I used to be similar to that. And I had my phase of jealousy as well, you know?”
“Really?”, y/n managed to ask
“Oh yes! I was in rage every time I heard you talk about any of your guy friends back in high school. Difference is I could hide it better because we were apart a lot of the time. I feared you would find someone who had more of a personality than me. I was no longer sure looks would cut it”
“Gosh love”, she answered, her voice love drunken, “you burst of personality. You aren’t just a pretty boy or well… pretty man. You have so much spirit and energy to give to the world. You are the definition of happiness and sunshine. And on top of that you are an incredibly talented man with so much to show. You wield the human mind and emotions so well you can convert yourself to be something other than yourself convincingly-”
“See?”, he asked, “and just like you love me like that and see all that good I sometimes don’t recognize, I see it in you… I always love you”
“I love you too. I’m sorry”
“Don’t be sorry. I’m so happy we had this talk. It was much needed”
“Yeah”, she hummed as her lips almost touched his and within seconds the couple found themselves passionately kissing
Ever since then they hadn’t had any of these kinds of self-worth problems. They’d say I love you on a daily basis and gave each other compliments whenever they could.
One thing the fans found especially cute was that, without fail, Red Rose would comment on each of Kenji’s selfies and comment “hey gorgeous, you single?” and he’d answer every single time, “Sure Sugar. Meet me at seven on your favorite street-corner”
One time they took a picture of each other on a nice-looking street corner. Kenji had called the picture “finally found the street corner. Been waiting to meet this lady for a while, apparently her name is ‘your wife’, which is peculiar but otherwise she seems nice”.
The picture even went viral and became one of the all-time favorite celebrity pictures of 2026.
After the talk-show they flew back in his helicopter.
They were in New York city and y/n looked at the city landscape with a fascinated gaze as she observed the flickering lights of the big apple.
Kenji looked at her with eyes shining almost as bright. He loved her love for everything new she sees. He had noticed that the first time she had seen the watering hole. He wasn’t really interested in her that way yet. He was fifteen and she thirteen, that makes quite a difference at this age. But still he couldn’t but smile as she looked at the dinosaurs with big eyes. And he loved that she hadn’t lost that spark, even as she got older, even as they came together and grew and changed together.
Y/n noticed his gaze and shifted hers to look at him.
‘What a beautiful man. I’ve missed him so’ she thought to herself.
“I missed you”, he said as though he had read her mind just now. Maybe he had. They had been together for so long they were often able to read each other’s subtle shifts in expression. Quite a beautiful thing.
“I missed you too”, she simply answered, “did you plan this talk show surprise?”
“Yes and no”, he admitted, “I was meeting up with Donavan O’Connor, the director of the ‘Elaine, the one?’ series. When calling Donavan, he told me had been to talking to Ray (the interviewer) and he was casually pointing out the funny coincidence you were meeting up for and mention the funny coincidence, that you’d have an interview with him that same day I come to the city and well… needless to say I called Ray and arranged things... I just had to. Couldn’t miss the opportunity to surprise my beautiful wife”
She smiled at that. A shy and flattered smile that reminded Kenji of when they were teens.
They landed on the roof of a nice-looking hotel. They had decided to stay the night here in New York before travelling back to Ireland… yes: Yes Ireland.
Most celebrities lived in L.A., but Kenji and y/n had preferred living a bit apart in an old mansion near the coast of south Ireland, close to the northern border. Although Kenji was a people person, he didn’t like the dishonesty and lying in the industry and wanted to get away from that with his wife who thought the same.
Besides: It was a beautiful country.
As they entered the room, they felt peace and happiness as well as a certain kind of tension arise.
Needless to say, there was another kind of reuinion going on that night...
(Sorry about that short ending, I had to heavily edit that ‘cause it originally was a... well... non Pg scene xD)

Accidentally ran into one of the clips and:
Daniel's using him. He's using him and he hasn't realized and I can't cope with this.

My brain's been haywire the entire week because someone on Insta pointed out a picture at Kenji's penthouse that looked just like the desert in the promo poster, and between Mantah Corp probably showing up this season and how Casa de Kenji avoided the questions about Kenji's dad, everything just feels a little...suspicious.
Not to mention Zack Stentz recently mentioned how expensive it is to make a character model, and thinking about it most of the human characters we see have an important role (no extras I mean), yet we already saw how his dad looks like.

Kenji said he's not allowed at one wing of his dad's mansion right?
What if that's where his dad's office is? (also meaning he spends most of the time there)
Just, imagine 5-6 year old Kenji knowing where his dad always is and going to ask him stuff and play and in general being around him, and his dad one day just, tells him to stay away of that part of the mansion and at first Kenji accepts and stays away, but then after some time he starts to realize that his father is always on the "forbidden" side and that he never spends time with him, and slowly he comes to the conclusion that his father doesn't want to be with him

Probably not gonna happen, but imagine if S4 actually brings up Mantah Corp, and instead of Kenji's mom being dead or absent, turns out she works for them.

Sweater Weather Ch. 8
Ben woke up with Kenji’s face in his stomach, his body folder over as he rest on a pillow laid over the larger man’s back.
“I got her, Ben!” Carmen said and walked in the room, dressed in a cute set of snow boots and a jacket. “I’ll be back in fifteen minutes. You guys should take a power nap on the bed to straighten out your spines.”
“Thank you, Carmen.” Kenji said, voice muffled in Ben’s sternum.
Ben chuckled and pet the back of his head before lightly smacking it. “Come on.”
Kenji slapped his thigh a little too hard.
“Ow! That hurt!” Ben huffed.
“I can kiss it better.” Kenji hummed.
“You can reach more in bed.” Ben said and Kenji slid back and up.
He felt Kenji’s breathing deepen and felt him relax into sleep, his finger’s massaging his scalp through the black locks.
“Morning, Sleepybutt.” Kenji said.
The smaller man panted and Kenji opened the door, the very breath leaving Ben as he walked out and saw over the lakes.
“I…I wont lie, I swear!”
“We don’t love each other, maybe we wont really, or maybe…maybe we’ll be happy together forever.” Ben said.
“So, how’s everything?” He asked.
“The restaurant is in the hotel, we can go out for an hour or two with Bumpy to a café or the Space Needle or the Great Wheel…”
He took Ben’s hand, who lifted Bumpy in his other hand, her leash around his hand.
“You know I—”
“Kenji?” A voice called and Ben felt his boyfriend freeze beside him as he looked towards their left.
A slender woman with pink hair and green eyes stood there with an older couple.
“Go on, I’ll just be a minute.” She told them and the men nodded and walked ahead towards the hotel, hand in hand.
Kenji gulped as one openly glared at him as they passed.
“Hi.” He said to her, Ben realizing who the girl was.
“Hi, Kenji.” She said, raising her chin. “Been a while.”
“How have you been, Brooklynn?”
