"Well now isn't someone demanding," he snickers, "but I'll enlighten you about that ability of mine. Firstly it's a gift from Azyl herself and it allows me to see and as a consequence interact with souls that are leaving, or have left, their mortal bonds. Unfortunately it's also an ability I can't readily deactivate without considerable effort, basically it's like breathing yes I can turn it off but I'll be forced to turn it back on once the strain becomes too much."

He sighs, "and depending on how you look at it, either fortunately or not, I only have a limited view of what information is provided by soul sight basically location and status via four colors. There is a rumor however that Azyl can see much more about a soul or life than we ever could. Though one thing I find very interesting is that you out-worlders seem to have far different soul colors than I thought I could see like yours, for example, is pink while I expected it to look blue like any other mortal would have."

As Kerex rambles on, Meitra awakes and groggily asks, "Kerex is she gone?"

Nahi: The only evidence I have of her manipulating my memories is with an encounter with a certain pokemon who can see into either the past or future, that pokemon showed me a past pf Teiji manipulating my memories, slowly altering it.

[Nahi curls up]

Nahi: The database has so far never been wrong... It correctly documents each unique phenomenon or prowess that certain pokemon or even unknown beings have, so if that is true, then the only conclusion is that Teiji must have been the one doing it.

I tried to ignore it, believe me, but I just could not...

You aren't completely wrong, this place was affiliated with underground pokemon battle and conducted horrible experiments in an attempt to push the poor pokemon well past their physical and mental limits. Luckily Kutsuki was never exposed to such experiments having lived at a different facility, one that actually cared about pokemon and was genuine in their goal of understanding them.

As for my other duties I work with Arceus in watching over the world, I also keep Arceus in check should they ever go mad or corrupt. So far they've been calm, they're aware of their power and does their best to control it. However I am able to nullify their power if the need should arise.

Kerex would take a moment to recount, "…Fire, Water, Fairy…" before replying, "Actually I was wrong about that 15 it's actually 17. Anyway Azirun is just generally creepy, never really know which of the 17 show themselves or if it is an act created by the fused souls. Much of the time they're just cold, indifferent looks something like us yet not, and Nemi forbid you make them angry. I've only seen them angry once and I wish to forget that image."

Clearly annoyed by Yako's attitude, "The word you're looking for is grieving you stupid fox. Last time both she and Aurora got this way was when Magma Breath got a hold of the Red Orb from its retainer and promptly lost control and blew the tops off of the largest volcanoes on the planet. Damn ash clouds ended up exterminating a majority of the life on the planet... Ol' Rocks for Brains is damn lucky that Aegis didn't find out took forever to separate him from the orb... Anyway I can only speculate what has gotten them worked up but I'm certain it is not good. As for asking I've tried and she won't elaborate."

Kerex looked astonished at the two as he processed their presence, "Well it's not often that I see a new face with a golden soul let alone one with a mixed color soul," he quips looking at Vekpa and Xern respectively, "Anyway my appearance comes from the fact that I am in possession of the spooky and dread plates." It takes him a second to dissolve his gear and regain them as the plates he possesses revealing his face.

"As for the reaper bit, I'm not sure what you both are talking about because I'm pretty sure that I haven't planted anything."

"Someone's got an interesting attitude," he snorts, "Anyway you aren't the first to call me that but certainly not the last, as for your second question I don't work with the mythics. They're generally busy doing their own thing or working with other legends but none work with Azyl, however the demis occasionally work with Azyl. The only mythic I have had a lot of contact with is Onion and she-"

"That is not her name and you know it Kerex," Meitra interrupts.

(@pokege-ne-project ; Hope) A lot of this... Seemed daunting to the Shaysol, even if it wasn't one's burden to bear. One would ponder what to say while carefully approaching the Mew, avoiding direct eye contact. "Ah... Forgive my asking, but while you mentioned the soul sight, you mentioned something about Lost Ones.. Though what would cause such a change to potientially drain all color from their souls?"

Kerex lets out a sigh as he ponders and rambles, "Denial... Pure and simple... The refusal to accept that one has died... This world is corrosive to a soul without a body... It deprives them of who they were, their memories, personality, even what caused them to refuse to accept death... The corrosion is slow, imperceptible to the lost, but noticeable to soul sight color fading away. Once the corrosion reaches its peak however the soul begins fading to nothingness like a puddle on a hot day... However a sufficiently strong or perceptive soul can resist the corrosion instead they can become a ghost or possess something. The trevenants that roam the outskirts of Meitra's forest are counted as lost souls even if they aren't colorless. Azyl still wants me to put those souls to rest though..."

"Well soul sight is... to try and simplify it, a bit of a weird ability I had picked up after spending quite a bit of time around our yveltal Teal, actually gifted is probably a better way to say. Anyway, it allows me to see the souls around me, just looks like a little ball of fire. Anyway, all souls have a color to them depending on their lineage and influences, more or less. Mortals, for example, have a blue colored soul while legends, like me and Meitra, have golden ones. Mythics, such as the lakes, the birds, and the golems, have bronze coloring. Then there are the agents and demigods both of which are colored purple. Then finally the Lost are white.”

"Stones for Brains, their fish-faced sibling, and the sky snake have all given me headaches cleaning up the devastation from their constant bickering and fighting. If they ever get a hold of their orb then hope and pray that they don't do too much damage."

"Eight yet one..." Capital hummed, as though pondering the phrase. "Could you perhaps mean that Nyx was once a whole being, now rendered into several different pieces? Or am I mistaken in my assessment?"

"You're missing some details, but yes, you would be right in that assessment," Kerex replies, "When Aegis extracted the entirety of Nyx's soul he formed it into the Griseous Orb then shattered it into eight pieces. Keeping the largest piece for himself he gave the remaining seven pieces to the lakes, three special mews, and Nyx to seal away. A piece to each. However, the pieces that went to the mews ended up corrupting them and Aegis threw them into the space between the dimensions where no one could find them again then threw Nyx into a world that was a distorted version of what Nyx wanted to create."

(@breed-station ) Lizzy carefully approaches Meitra as they dont want to frighten them as a stranger. "Heya hun, is it okay if i sit down by you?" she waits a bit and sits down. The Croconaw draws two circles on the ground, a big and small one. "Francis used to do this therapie whenever Pokemon were in stress. You take a big breath with the big circle and puff it slowly out with the small one! Focus on the circle and you will be fine in no time, hihi!"

Meitra looks up to acknowledge them with a nod, listening before following the visitor's directions. Breathe in, breathe out, she repeated this a couple of times before yawning and falling asleep.

"Hey, uh thanks for helping her out," Kerex whispers, "she should be okay when she wakes."

Fenris@Kerex Fenris, crossing his arms, squints at Kerex as if examining him. "You're one of those mythical Pokemon right? But you're the grim reaper, as in the guy who takes all the dead to the afterlife by uh... ripping their souls or whatever. How'd you even land this job anyway?"

"Okay for the record I don't 'rip' out souls from corpses, they just separate naturally from a corpse. Plus the souls I do work with have already separated from their shell, if anything the only one's who harvest souls are some of Azyl's lesser agents," he huffed, annoyed, "as for how I'm in this position, Azyl needed help with dealing with really stubborn souls and ghosts but she couldn't get to them because of the amount of souls coming in. Also Aegis was starting to act a bit more ... erratic ... than usual ..."

<Meitra stirs a bit.>

Sarah approaches the Mew, bowing respectfully. “It’s an honor to meet you.” She then straightens up and grins, “I think you mentioned something about an emotion or soul link, mind if I ask what that means?”

Kerex studies Sarah for a bit, "You're a bit of a peculiar one, I'll admit, it's not often that i meet a human that is… well um… alive… Anyway, moving along, well both an emotion and soul link are the same and yet not if that makes any sense. You see each mew that is bound to an artifact such as a plate has an emotion link since the plate carries a fragment of the connected legends' soul within. This binding causes the two souls to entangle themselves together creating an emotion link that causes the entangled souls to react to emotional changes in the other. Linked, influential, innate, yet separate and distinct."

"Soul links on the other hand are more interesting in that a soul is split between a body and object or multiple souls effectively become one yet haven't totally fused. With the legends soul links are basically with their artifact. Consequentially, these soulbound items want to reunite with their missing pieces and become whole. However a link between two souls is difficult to attain and more so to keep stable. For example there are two mortal delphoxes that keep appearing in the region called Kalos that are soulbound and oddly enough never fuse with each other. They appear then disappear it's very odd. However there is one who is quite the odd ball apparently they have I think 15 souls all fused together. He is generally unpleasant to be around and unsettling as well."

A noise is heard from Meitra as she wakes up, "Kerex is Nyx gone..."

"Yes, Nyx is gone, you are safe"

Prince @ Kerex: "Hello there!" The golden furred Arcanine calls out to Kerex. "Outta curiosity, what's a grim reaper, and what sorta role do they play?"

Kerex shrugged, "To be honest, I don't know what a grim reaper is though I have been called one a number of times by mortals, still not sure why, Azyl believes it has to do with the weird mortal myths and things regarding death. I think one mortal called me Charon at one point, but with the newly departed it's difficult to say."

[askanotslownotking] Sophie @ The other Mew: The Slowking feels a little concerned for Meitra. She walks up to the other Mew and speaks to them. "What happened with this Gira dude that got your friend scared of 'em... and is she gonna be okay?"

"Once my sister calms down it'll take her a bit to get back to acting normally but she'll be fine afterwards. However, the thing is that it wasn't what Nyx did to create the scars on the Meadow plate instead it was what Aegis did to Nyx, Nemi and the other legends when the plates and orbs were created that created the scars. Even though we couldn't feel the pain that Nemi felt when a chunk of her soul was removed and crystalized into the plates... We can still feel the terror she felt that day through that cursed plate..." Kerex states as he continues comforting Meitra who looks to be falling asleep.
