finally finished this, ugh lol. Redesigns of Tobleron’s circus crew, now in Futh! Old designs/refs can be found here. While these are their canon design, I’ll do a proper, clean ref for each whenever I’ll be in the mood to. I’m going to re-introduce them in the most succinct manner i can, all the while mentioning the new context things. One last thing; this is also a size chart, lol.

Sundae; has a clean ref and proper introduction here. In short, Tobleron’s circus is meant to scare the audience, rather than entertain them- and Sundae, who joined the crew as a child, was sort of raised to do just that. Whether he’s good at scaring people is subjective, because he’s essentially a feral child in an adult body, and only knows somewhat violent clown tricks and strange childish pranks such as putting bugs in people’s hair.

Tobleron; the ringmaster, who’s actually a Pride+Chaos typed Cedraite. He’s one of the VERY few Cedraites who managed to ‘escape’ Futh’s mantle; i’ll explain how he did it in another post. Either way he LOVES to scare Futh people, and wants them all to experience ‘true fear’ at each of his shows. His circus is a travelling one, so he can scare a maximum of people. His secret goal is to have members that are twisted as he is, so that’ll eventually join him in whatever bad place they'll end up when they die. He hopes it’ll be the Nightmare factories of Futh’s dream world.

Sazae-Oni; The Strongman of the crew, who’s one of the few members who DOESN’T like to scare people. He was quite the hero back in his native country, in which he killed monsters whose heavy skulls serve as dumbbells. He thinks Tobleron is also a monster as well and is always suspicious of him.

Sailoon; An amphibian clown who joined after a special, underwater show at sea. He's somewhat strange, even by the circus’ standards and is unpredictable. One moment he’ll do a colorful bubble show, the next he’ll kill birds without eating them.

Liegeois; a shy mime who’s Sundae’s circus partner- he’s very often the victim of Sundae’s scary antics. Even if he had the strength to complain, Tobleron wouldn’t listen anyway. He doesn’t want to scare, but is usually peer pressured to.

Moiris’ Priest: Idk if he’s a rock person or a polygon person. Either way one eye and his horns work like solar panels. The more sunlight he gets, the more energy he has. He doesn’t actually care that much about clowns and is more a priest of optimism. He can sound like a inspiration quote bot sometimes.

Fruitbugs creator Kraton: Is this...? Yes! YES! the brainless Man himself <3 he’s wearing a blanket as a cape, in case that‘s not clear. He gets strange dreams every night, depicting a strange world with furless apes using futuristic technology. While this world is completely fictional in Futh's universe, it might sound familiar to you. Either way, Kraton takes these visions as being a godly gift- from gods even more powerful and mighty than Quibris and Cedra. He even made up a religion about it all and praises it on the street of his village. It's very rural and VERY in the middle of nowhere, so at best he gets called the village freak, at worst people create various schemes such as the stick box trap to entertain themselves. Though Kraton doesn't really care and holds unto his precious tinfoil hat, which he believes is a holy artefact worn by the smartest people in his dreams' world. No one else on Futh, or anywhere else in the universe has these dreams/sees this world- it's not even part of the Dream world or the Nightmare ocean of Futh.When he's not in the streets praising his fictional gods, Kraton works on his game Fruitbugs, in which he makes everything, and adds magic runes in the code to make his characters sentient. He learned how to make a game from his dreams and from his studies in the Purple Islands, in which he learned how to build machinery that works with magic. His game is the only video game in all of Futh, so it's extremely popular. But since he lives in the middle of nowhere, he has no idea how successful his game is- and his fans don't know his identity or where he lives. He's vaguely aware that there ARE people who play his game from what fruitbugs characters say, but Kraton doesn't really care. He's not interested in fame and just likes to have 500 fictional boyfriends.

Lulu’s Priest the second (the first one is even more of a wip, and can’t be posted in public yet): The only word that i can think of to describe his character is acariâtre. Which is french and, according to google, cantankerous in english. I learned a new word, and so have you with the french one. Educational. Also he’s a priest dedicated to Lulu, but more to the nostalgia and night sides of him- he actually hates jesters and can’t tell anyone about it bc otherwise he feels he’d get... What’s the priest equivalent of fired? Well given how the followers are jesters, that might more be like ‘i’m going to throw an egg on that guy so he understands what i think of him and his opinion’. He’s a mammal if his species isn’t clear; albeit a weird one since one of his parents was a mammal+reptiloid hybrid (hence the ‘human’ face, that reptiloids can have). He’s friends with Moiris’ Priest and they share a similar silent dislike of clowns and jesters.

Canyon Merman, Lagune: desert canyon rivers are rly cool. He lives in one. that’s it

Nightmare Centipede: A sentient nightmare who says he has a circus, but it’s a trick to make people go towards even scarier nightmares (his friends). It’s very rare to have a sentient nightmare use others’ help, so he’s pretty popular and liked among Nightmare factories owners and employees. He doesn’t stick to specific brands either, so anyone can benefit from his help. His ‘hair’ is actually tongues- they wriggle and are covered in saliva. His visible eye is constantly rolling 360degrees, and quite fast too so it looks like he has several pupils/irises. He might actually have several, but his eye never stops spinning so it’s hard to tell. He has his heart on the outside (inside the mouth on his stomach/abdomen) but since he’s a sentient nightmare, he can’t truly die- unless he gets forgotten and/or is not able to scare people anymore.

Namah Matarah (temporary name, from his insp song): Two back-of-the-head tails, and four regular tails. Splitting tails is a common practice among Reptiloids from ancient families- and Namah Matarah not only happens to be one of them, but also is their ‘leader’ of some kind. He has high influence and political power among his kin. Depending on how you look at him, he can be nicer than he looks or more cruel than he seems- he often makes schemes to make a group of people happy, all the while quietly taking resources from another. Said groups can be among his kind, others, rich or poor people- he can take from and give to anybody and has only bias towards old reptiloid families (rich or not). His current colors are mostly from this character

WIP Fruitbugs!

??? idk what fruit he is yet, but definitely a red/orange one lol. He’s a carnivorous Harvester butterfly who decided to stay carnivorous after his caterpillar phase; and he can control small, meat eating butterflies that can eat people and leave only the bones behind. He is not nice but he pretends to be an uwu kind person to get ppl to trust him.

Red Jaina; A featherleg assassin bug who’s… An assassin. His nickname is XxPLAYER-SLAYERxX- because not only he tries to beat any players he sees, but he’s also… THAT kind of guy. The kind that uses really outdated/annoying (edgy) gamer slang unironically. While Futh players are unfamiliar with terms such as ‘n00b’ or ‘scrub’, they generally get the feeling it’s not nice. Some players are annoyed by his charming appearance but terrible personality; apparently they sent complaints to the Fruitbugs creator, but since no one knows who he is or where he lives, mail gets inevitably lost. In the meantime, Red Jaina continues his antics and tell everyone else to ‘git gud’.

Grey Cowpea Lazaire; His full name is Grey speckled cowpea, but he calls himself Lazaire because it’s much shorter. He uses bean shaped disks that he throws at organic matter to turn them into chrome- his goal is to make a chrome world. His disks+body are made of liquid chrome. He’s a Saharan silver ant, and like them, he runs VERY fast. His abilities and chrome effect can easily be countered- simply put water on the chrome to wash it off, and it’ll slide and disintegrate. Due to how easy it is to undo his chrome, he isn’t considered a threat of any kind- even if his plan/ideal world is a source of concern for Fruitbugs that love nature.

Brunia; he’s a leech, and his ‘hood’ is his mouth- so yes his eyes are inside his maw. kawaii!!!!!!!!!!!!!!… I don’t recommend kissing him. He lives a solitary lifestyle, lurking in dark street corners. He’s a fruitbug i’ve been struggling with since late 2018/2019- given he’s meant to be a modern city guy, which is something i’m not used to.

Lollipop Climber; A leech who’s Bloodlime’s rival- he’s a vampire as well but a classic one, who hates metal and believes only classic music is good. He also has his own way of being a vampire, and believes Bloodlime is doing it wrong. His ‘own way’ means to have only the dumb and specific sides of the vampire myth- has to be invited to get blood, hates garlic, can’t cross running water, etc. He and Brunia are siblings- they’re relatively neutral towards each other, going from shallow, boring everyday conversations and heated arguments about each other’s drastically different lifestyle. He hates being called Lollipop given how it doesn’t sound like a vampire name, so he tends to withhold it.

Sketchy Dragon Fruitbugs.. Obviously WIPs and will probably have things changed about them, but here’s what i have so far;




Electric dragon; no fruit so far, nor bug. But his personality is that he’s violent, hyperactive and wants to CRUSH anyone in his path, using his seven branched tail, that he uses as a sword. Believe it or not, his character bio in the fruitbugs game describes him as being ‘the dragon of kindness’… No one, both players or fruitbugs alike, seem to know what that’s about. The in-universe fruitbug creator probably knew at some point but forgot the reason, and never wrote it down. So he’s lost just as much as everyone else.




Saskatoon; A venomous mukade centipede/Scolopendra subspinipes fruitbug who pretends to be a dragon. He wears a headdress+mask that look like a commander butterfly caterpillar’s horns to play the part. In reality, he’s an omukade- a yokai centipede bigger than mountains, who can SLAY dragons. He keeps his secret identity as long as he can, so he can betray his ‘fellow’ dragons at the worst possible moment. I haven’t drawn the headress/mask yet i’ll do it later, when his outfit is satisfactory (it isn’t really yet).




Rainbow Dragon; he’s a saturniidae caterpillar, and Pineberry and Sugar Apple’s older brother. So far his outfit is a draft and is based on Hala fruit, but that might change later. I just kinda had this vague design in mind for TH18’s rainbow dragon but turns out there isn’t any, so might as well use/draw what i had in mind. Like his siblings, he loves fireworks- specifically, fire crackers.


Sea Dragon; This one’s might be sea dragon nudibranch, but i want to avoid that if possible bc nudibranchs are too uwu and idk if they really fit in fruitbugs (im already stretching my own standards by including crustaceans, molluscs and prehistoric invertebrates). If he IS a nudibranch, he’ll be slightly redesigned accordingly along with his associated fruit. So far his personality is that of a sad loner, who unfortunately doesn’t really understand that to stop feeling lonely, one must learn to live with themselves. But instead of improving as a person, he creates storms and big waves, annoying everyone on the beach levels.

Noble/high class cyclops lady. Lives either under or near the sea- hence her fashion/style. You can't see but her sleeves look like waves.

i needed some kind of break after my lastest bg pic, so i decided to make sketches of characters i needed to design- this is the first part, Cedraite themed.

Flesh Priest: A Cedraite whose ‘religion’ is based around flesh (both of his kind and other beings). He is called when other Cedraites- especially old/first generation ones, who were made using dead flesh- have issues with their skin. When he is called, he performs rituals to ‘cure’ his client’s flesh. At best it never works, at worst he damages the flesh further by doing such things as putting burning wax on it. He have very little followers, due to the fact that most Cedraites’ religion is usually about Cedra himself; but also because Flesh Priest smells strongly like sweat and an infected cut. Believe or not, he has a wife (his ‘religion’ allows partnership). If it isn’t clear: his ‘coat’ is no coat and is his own flesh- he has multiple layers of skin flaps, and his limbs are somewhat saggy. When I”ll draw his ref, i’ll make a drawing showing how it all looks

Arachne (temporary name): A character i’ve had for a while- a trans male spider Cedraite (typed Envy+Pride) who’s so desperate for friends that he traps anyone he likes in a web he has in his cave. He doesn’t eat them or anything- no instead he feeds them when they need to eat and try to do ‘friend things’ with them like having tea or talking about everyday subjects. As you can guess the trapped people rarely cooperate and just want to be freed.He also has the ability to give diseases via his head's stingers/horns- a mere scratch is enough to give someone said diseases; they tend to be relatively tame fevers, but he uses this to his advantage to get his new 'friends' to stay. He'll even take care of them (or even pamper them really) so they either start liking him, or develop a dependence on him. He usually tends to 'accidentally' stings them, keep his ability a secret and care about them- all the while feeling intense self-loathing for manipulating someone that way. His self-loathing comes from his Envy genes, while his Pride ones are minimal and more targeted at others rather than himself- as in he feels proud of 'owning' friends.He’s envious of any- ANY type of friendship occurring around him. Even the toxic ones, unfortunately; he’s THAT desperate. When he’s not holding someone against their will, he likes to bake; but thing is that the only ingredients available (outside of dead things) to him are rocks, acid from the acid river, and silk. So he tends to ‘bake’ silk with rock chips and acid together. the result tends to melt his guests gums, so he keeps practicing, hoping one day it’ll be ‘edible’.

Protag (not actual name): if i ever make a story this guy will be the protag. He’ll be mischievious or even villainous bc i hate blank slate and/or uwu flawless protags. My first attempt was to make him more ‘in my style’ than he looks in my head- didn’t like it so i gave in and made the second, downright kirbyesque attempt which is how he’s meant to be, according to my brain. So i’m going with that! Also despite how he looks he’s neither a clown or from a circus- that’s his skin he just looks like this. No make up, no clothing.

The Tower (not actual name): obviously based on a certain villain but that's because there's that post saying that HE’s hot and has x reader fanfic and i was like 'am i the only one who thinks the tower eye version is the hot ver?'; i apparently was, indeed, the only one so i make my own boyfriend oc. He’s a War typed Cedraite who's pretty similar to crustaceans- he even has the outer shell. Can he make pearls? Well actually he has an ability- if you put something in his mouth, it'll be spat back out as something objectively worse, AND cursed to boot. For example, if you were to put a beach ball in his mouth, he'd spit back out a cursed metal spike ball. Note that he doesn't really like people playing with his ability- prepare for verbal assault because that's all he can do (he can't move for the most part- only his tongue, teeth and eye can. His teeth move like urchin spikes.) He’s vaguely based on the tarot tower given how apparently that’s the worst one and it makes bad things happen.

Gris: actually an old oc of mine from 2013 (here’s some of the old drawings i did of her). ... Since 2013, she has zero character. The only thing i can say about her is that her ‘leaking stripes’ is actually her acid blood leaking. She’s ok, that’s just how her anatomy is since birth.

Traffic Jam: A Chaos type Cedraite who has the extraordinary and mysterious, but utterly useless ability to cause traffic jams with his mere presence. It’s unknown how exactly he does that- but his tail that looks like a forbidden entry sign might help. He loves causing traffic trouble, and hates rural areas.

im doing my own list of things i posted earlier. idk if i’ll go all the way thru and/or share all the drawings. day 1 is cookie feat Cocoa; i said that my list was chara design but Cocoa was created as my go-to chocolate thmed design so bam.

For this thing (or maybe this month) i want to try my hand at NOT cleaning my lines too much to 1) save energy (i take a long time cleaning and it’s not always fun) and 2) beat and punch my perfectionism. Enjoy the Raw
