‘Korean Derby in 3 years and 6 months’ made by Hwang Hee-chan vs Son Heung-min 먹튀검증

‘How long has it been since the Korean Derby?’
It's been about 3 years and 6 months. The Korean Derby was played in the English Premier League (EPL). It was a spectacular created by Hwang Hee-chan (25, Wolverhampton) and Son Heung-min (29, Tottenham Hotspur).
Wolverhampton and Tottenham Hotspur met in the third round (round of 32) of the 2021-2022 England Carabao Cup (League Cup) held at Molyne Stadium in Wolverhampton, England on the 23rd (Korean time). After a fierce battle, it ended in a 2-2 draw and Tottenham laughed in the penalty shoot-out that followed.
The Korean Derby after a long time
The history of the Korean Derby dates back to April 17, 2006. The first Korean EPL player is Park Ji-sung. It opened its first doors when it entered the Premier League, Manchester United. After that, Lee Young-pyo moved to Tottenham and took the baton. And a scene familiar to football fans unfolded. In 2002 Korea-Japan World Cup semifinals, Park Ji-sung and Lee Young-pyo faced off against each other on the ground. In the 36th minute of the first half, Wayne Rooney of Manchester United scored the goal with the help of Ji-sung Park, who intercepted the ball due to a mistake by Young-pyo Lee. The scene in which Park Ji-sung expressed his apologies by shaking hands without the knowledge of a colleague was a hot topic.
The last was in March 2018. After the match between Son Heung-min and MF Ki Seong-yong (32, FC Seoul), who was at Newcastle United at the time, he disappeared for a while. Fortunately, through the transfer market this summer, Hwang Hee-chan left Leipzig from the German professional football Bundesliga and transferred to Wolverhampton on loan to join the EPL, and the Korean derby was completed after 3 years and 6 months.
The first match that ended in a decision draw
Hwang Hee-chan was the starting pitcher. It was the first time since Wolverhampton. After warming up for England as a substitute in the last two league games, he was named in the first starting list. On the other hand, Son Heung-min started as a substitute. The much-anticipated Korean Derby did not unfold from the start.
Hwang Hee-chan took on the role of the vanguard of the attack. He constantly harassed the Tottenham defense. It came to fruition in the 13th minute of the second half. With Wolverhampton being led 1-2, he took the ball from the opposing defense with strong pressure. In the subsequent counterattack, Wolverhampton scored the equalizer. Hwang Hee-chan did not record a direct attack point, but it served as a starting point.
Tottenham Hotspur's foot went out in the 16th minute and Son Heung-min was put in. Lo Celso was removed and Son Heung-min was added to put more weight on the attack. That's how the Korean Derby was made. Son Heung-min also showed sharp movements. In the 21st minute of the second half, he showed off a fierce cross. He dribbled out the defense in the area to the left of the opponent's penalty box and then crossed. Tottenham striker Harry Kane (28) connected this to a header, but it was not a goal.
Under the rules of the Carabao Cup, penalty shootouts were held without extra time. Hwang Hee-chan was the number one kicker. It was an indication that he had a strong trust in Wolverhampton. Hwang Hee-chan calmly succeeded and instilled hope. But he couldn't be put by other teammates. Heung-min Son, who took the 5th kicker, did not get a chance and ended with Tottenham's victory. In terms of his personal performance, Hwang Hee-chan was a little better. However, it was Son Heung-min who had the brightest smile due to the nature of the event where the result was important.
Even a warm uniform exchange
After the whistle blew at the end of the match, the Korean men's soccer team regained the image of a colleague eating a bowl of rice. On a local broadcast screen, Hwang Hee-chan and Son Heung-min were caught exchanging uniforms. In soccer, there is a culture of exchanging jerseys between players who agree with each other after a match. They are usually exchanged between players who have overlapped positions or players with special episodes. Hwang Hee-chan and Son Heung-min changed each other's uniforms, adding to the meaning of the Korean derby.

World Cup 2018: Germany out of tournament after losing to South Korea
Defending champions Germany have been eliminated from the 2018 World Cup after losing to South Korea in Kazan.
Kim Young-gwon’s 92nd-minute goal, awarded after a video assistant referee decision, left four-time winner Germany on the brink of elimination.
Then six minutes into stoppage time, with goalkeeper Manuel Neuer in the opponents’ half, South Korea gained control of the ball, launched it forward and Son Heung-min tapped into an empty net to score the second and seal Germany’s fate.
It is the first time since 1938 that a Germany or West Germany side has not advanced beyond the first section of the tournament, as Joachim Low’s side finish bottom of Group F.

Combo Breaker 2018: The Full Results
Combo Breaker 2018 has concluded. Chicago's biggest fighting game tournament has wrapped up for another year and all of the champions have been crowned. Shacknews has covered a couple of the winners already, but for those who missed the weekend tournaments, here's a helpful recap. We'll also make sure to add some of our own thoughts here and there.
GO1 vs. SonicFox (Photo Credit: @TischPhotos)
Dragon Ball FighterZ
Shacknews has a full recap of the Dragon Ball FighterZ Grand Finals up and running right now. SonicFox went into this event having never beaten consensus best player in the world GO1, but Combo Breaker went just a little bit differently.

Injustice 2
The Injustice 2 Grand Finals went down to the wire between Tweedy and DR_Gross. Gross brought the heat with Green Lantern throughout the finals, but Tweedy was eventually able to ward off one last GL onslaught, thanks to Starfire's effective zoning techniques. GL wasn't able to close in and Tweedy took the tournament.

Guilty Gear Xrd -REVELATOR- 2
This was another wild Top 8 that culminated with a barnburner of a Grand Finals. Korea's Jaewon "Daru I-No" Kim just needed the opportunity to prove himself, but has had trouble getting to tournaments in the past. He even relied on a community fundraiser to get him to this very event. But he made his opportunity count, as he narrowly edged out Fukuda "Teresa" Norihiro in a Grand Finals that left both men emotionally spent by the end.

Killer Instinct
One of the most exciting tournaments of the weekend that went largely under the radar was Killer Instinct. Combo Breaker has always been one of the best places to catch the top Killer Instinct and this was no exception. While he fell short last year, there was no stopping Latrell "Amenty" Thomas in 2018. He has a total mastery of new character Eagle and former Evo champion Darnell "Hollywood Sleep" Waller had no answers. This was a master class in how to work opponents with KI's last character.

Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite
It's hard to argue against the idea that Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite has lost pretty much all of its steam since its damning Evo snub. While registration numbers have remained consistent, many of the game's high-profile players have left, viewership has dipped, and Capcom looks to have abandoned the Marvel fanbase... again. But the Marvel tournaments are still incredible to watch, as evidenced by Combo Breaker's Top 8.
Watch as Kevin "Dual Kevin" Barrios caps off an incredible Losers Bracket run in the most epic fashion possible. Don't put Hawkeye in a box, because all he needs is his bow and arrow.

Super Smash Bros. Melee
The best players across both Super Smash Bros. Melee and Smash 4 were attending MomoCon this weekend, so there was a lot of A-tier talent missing from Combo Breaker. Still, the tournaments were exciting and it was an opportunity for some new faces to shine, like Melee winner Kalindi "KJH" Henderson.
