i gotta say one of my biggest pet peeves on this planet is people who REFUSE to do anything to help themselves or take any type of advice on their situations and continue to complain about it and/or make other people go out of their way to accommodate problems they could easily fix or help like 🔪 either try to help yourself or shut up. my god.

#that's not even luxury #i'm not familiar w the bag except it's price point #but a high quality bag is usually a pretty good investment #you'll use it a lot and depending on what you're carrying it might need to hold a lot of weight #and making something that will last a long time while consistently carrying heavy objects #esp if the weight distribution of your objects is wonky #that's not something that can be done cheaply #all garments/bags are made by people who also deserve to make a living #anyway i don't get why people are giving her shit for investing in a bag she liked #i don't think any of you understand what being rich means #or even what working class is supposed to look like #rachel rants

i know we've all got our problems with capitalism but one I haven't seen talked about enough is the way it's so easy to stay dependent on your parents (financially, or for help with housework etc) until you're 30. and can i say from an evolutionary biology point of view, prolonging vulnerability is about the stupidest thing a species can do for its survival. it just makes it so much harder for as many people as possible to survive. you're going to get lowered reproduction rates and no one to carry on names and traditions into the future all because how can you take care of a dependent when you're still dependent yourself? not to mention how many of us have ageing parents etc to look after as well. the amassment of wealth in those who 'invested early' (aka older generations) on every level hampers the autonomy of all of us that we feel entitled to and very rarely actually get. of course it's going to cause conflicts we can't just walk away from too, or we're going to have to do a whole lot of innovation to live more cheaply

it's so bizarre. it pretends to champion gay rights while encouraging a really bitter and mean environment, asking the queens to make fun of each other while revealing devastating, traumatizing, personal information about one another as they prepare to perform "vagina blasters 2: huge cock" the rusical. people who try to bring up actual hurtful things that happened to them while on the show or discussing actual bullying they faced from other contestants only to be gaslit and told they can't take a joke by the producers and main host, RuPaul herself. it's just really strange.

the looks are neat, tho. so off we go to season 10.

So, my stupid car finally died, I was driving home along a country road after work and could smell smoke, and I’d been having car problems that morning so was just like, “Hahaha… it’s probably just people’s chimneys I can smell.”

Next minute, I’m trying to go up hill and the engine dies, it starts rolling backwards so I have to swerve and it somehow ends up on the wrong side of the road, half sticking out onto the road and half in a ditch on a blind corner

So now I’m like “wtf someone is gonna crash into this at 80km an hour this isn’t good” so I decide the safest thing to do is to just push it all the way into a ditch

So then there I was in the pitch black, phone battery dwindling, a creepy full moon out and the rain coming down in the middle of nowhere surrounded by forest at night

Luckily a nice farmer took me home, but yeah… I have no money to fix my car and no money to buy a new one

yo why is it so hard to find good bedding for mice

#im working on setting up my cage so i can get pet mice (hopefully 2-3 girls) #and one of the things i still need is bedding #im looking for aspen shavings specificaly since i heard cedar and pine can be unsafe for mice (delicate respiratory systems) #and paper based bedding can be expensive for small amounts #and i just cant find any hemp bedding in the us #im looking at apsen bedding aimed at horses for a mega cost effective bedding but #i wanna make sure it's a brand that mouse owners have confirmed is safe for mice #i heard horses have delicate respiratory systems too (and that their owners treat them like delicate little princesses) #so im assuming dust extracted and kiln dried horse bedding will be fine #but i wanna do more research first #apparently you can get 7 cu. ft at tractor supply co for like $7.50 #or like $14 for the stuff aimed at small pets in smaller quantities (like 5 cu. ft) #i just cant seem to figure out if the brands they sell are actually safe #like some small pet bedding can be really dusty and awful bc it's cheaply made bc rodents are seen as like #'easy' 'starter' basically disposable pets #(can literally get mice for like $6 at a chain petstore) #(do NOT do that. do NOT support chain petstores selling live animals. plus the mice will probably be pregnant and sick so do NOT) #anyway ive been looking at bedding too long #i just wanna spoil my mice and have them be the most pampered and well cared for animals in the world
