Hallo!! I just read your morning routine with sammy!!! How about night routine with sammy? Like is their a specific ritual or routine that the reader need to finish and samuel thought is kinda weird but entertaining!!!

TY for reading! My god, I had this sitting in my draft when I wrote the morning one but you're quicker than I can finish heh. Hmmm.... this went in a slightly diff direction. It's sooooft. Weird but entertaining tho 🤔 you've piqued my curiosity with YOUR routine.

Samuel Seo x Reader: Night routines

3 lil soft and disjointed scenes. Morning counterpart here

Evenings and nights are harder to pin down with Samuel.

Some evenings he makes it back with you already in bed, some he doesn't make it back at all. Staggering in in the morning or a few days later either stinking of alcohol or with wounds and bruises he doesn't want to explain.

It's the small pea of toothpaste on his toothbrush that always brings him back to reality, keeps him grounded. Something you do for him every night regardless of where he is.

That little gesture that slips right through his defenses and pierces his heart.

"Are you busy tomorrow?"

Samuel's usual answer is a grunt or a "don't remind me."

Your question more a force of habit than search for truth. Samuel is always busy. It comes out anyway, when you're both lying naked in bed, ready to wrap up and end the day. Starting to mentally face what tomorrow may bring.

Tonight, as he spoons you from behind, he settles for his grunt. Your other question predictably follows.

"Anything you want to do tomorrow?"

"No."

And that no always means anything, as long as I'm with you. Sometimes that's out for dinner or some evening activity, if his work and schedule allows. These days Samuel is just happy sitting at home.

As long as you're there.

Words that he's still can't bring himself to say, but it hangs constantly in the air anyway. As if admitting it somehow makes him vulnerable and he's not already defenceless where you're concerned.

Somewhere along the lines, these sort of repetitive questions that would have earned a look of disdain from anyone else just becomes part of your night time routine.

A way to check-in with each other, to know that you're both doing ok. That the stress and pressures with Samuel and Workers are manageable.

You recognise the way his body reacts more than his words. Gripping you tighter means either it's becoming a lot, or he wants more time with you. Complete silence means that something is definitely off. Indifference, a lack of reaction like tonight, means everything is as it should be.

"Goodnight yeobo." Samuels voice calls out in the dark.

Goodnight honey.

A disgustingly sweet endearment that is so not Samuel. An endearment that is usually reserved for married couples only. And as with all these sort of things, started ironically and stuck around unironically.

Now it comes out every night. A quiet admittance of his true feelings and desires in the intimacy of your bed together when the world slows down.

A sign of how much he truly loves you, how much he wants you in his life.

A sign that it is truly time for bed. That he's half falling asleep and to continue the conversation tomorrow.

"Goodnight yeobo,"you echo. An acknowledgement of the need for rest and nightly reminder of what the promises of yeobo means.

And the very final part of your routine, before sleep takes both of you, is Samuel reaching over for a kiss on the lips.

A little something to bless his slumber with sweet dreams.

(girl who was supposed to write 3k of vaguely serious pining tonight, or at least some weird smut) so about the furby au...

uhhh okay im gonna TRY to come up with some additional thoughts since i am going to the trouble of making this post. i guess one question is— does mello RESPOND to the emails??? probably. he loves to be mad about stuff and he hates not being heard when he's mad about stuff. so like. initially he's just replying to the emails from matt with “i hate that stupid fucking furby” and “how much money do i have to give you to set it on fire, or at least stop emailing me” but when matt points out that mello could just auto sort the emails to spam mello pretends as if he doesn't see that one. eventually, as mello's responses become marginally less hostile, matt is like 😌 it's time to up the ante. and begins including his Fun Near Facts. these include but are not limited to:

- he took college level differential equations when he was 14! 🤓 (mello response: okay, so he's a loser??)

- he's not a loser he's REALLY cool (note: matt loves to lie. or he actually has an unrealistically kind view of near's swag levels) (mello does not dignify this with a reply)

- he loves talking about math! don't worry though it's really easy to tune it out and he doesn't really care if you're not listening (mello response: i don't know why i would need to know that.)

- one time he saved me from drowning 😳 (note: matt also loves to embellish. near “saved him from drowning” by telling matt to not try his luck at jumping over a river, which wasn't actually even deep enough for him to drown in)

uuhhhhh okay running out of matt's fun facts about near BUT. the point is that he is wingmanning so hard. i guess another question is whether or not near picks up on the fact that matt is regularly taking candid photos of him? my thought is no. i could see near being sort of a space cadet in this respect tbh; if he's absorbed enough in something he tunes everything else out)

hmm. genuinely running out of steam so lemme just jot down a few more ideas and then someday maybe i will add more when more comes to me.

- near: lives in... actually, fuck it, NOT new york. he and matt room together in minneapolis. near is in a PhD program for math— either complex analysis or topography. idk. something. matt is a programmer of some kind bc i am not creative.

- mello: i think i already said but he lives in LA, works for the mob. probably isn't really that Into It but he got in when he was pretty young and it's not like he has a lot of other options at this point? i imagine it isn't something he spends a lot of time angsting over but he's probably kinda unfulfilled.

OH okay sorry i got an idea. these stupid emails from matt go on for a few months, with mello gradually responding in very slightly less mean ways & occasionally asking questions,,, and then one day the Daily Near Email comes through and it's a picture of near somewhere in LA. probably griffith's observatory actually. and matt (knowing full well from mello's social media that he lives in Los Angeles) captions the image something like “where did you say you lived again??? 🤔”

okay now i'm REALLY out of ideas. not sure how the fact that mello has barely Actually spoken to near would be resolved!! thanks for listening to the Morgan Being Deranged podcast, tune in next time for another incredibly niche stupid idea 🥰

Wait I thought the “I’m worried about Eddie” look was from season 5 when Lucy was introduced but u might be right 🤔

So I’m glad you sent this in because I also saw this in the tags by @klaineunite

The look he gave Lucy when she was introduced is completely different if you look at his facial expression. Here is his look when he saw her at the station.

You can see there’s an element of surprise and worry in a negative context. I only say this bc I’ve spent a lot of time learning all about deciphering human beings behaviors, facial ticks and tells, and studying how their eyes talk. I know it sounds weird but it’s a thing lol. This look isn’t one of worry. It’s one of “oh fuck I’m in shit”. The way you can see his eyebrows aren’t completely scrunched up indicates lack of actual genuine worry. His eyes are also a bit rounded which indicates more shock and less worry.

Now when you look at his facial expression when it comes to Eddie, you can clearly tell a vast difference.

His eyes are more closed and you can see the worry mark between his brows. You can see his jaw is stressed in the way it’s opened. Whereas the first two pictures it lacks the stress on his jaws. Because he’s not stressed he’s just thinking he’s in deep shit when he sees Lucy since they kissed. In all other instances, when it comes to Eddie, you see the definite worry clouding his eyes and emphasis the stress has on his jaw/mouth. The last one I included is from tonight’s teaser and it’s from the new season. Buck’s hair is shorter and he looks different from last season. There’s no way this last photo is in regards to Lucy of all people. It’s the same look he gives Eddie or it’s about Eddie. The one above that is from the station when they were all discussing options and he was thinking of ways to help Eddie. Even when Eddie wasn’t physically present, in that moment Buck was worrying and thinking about him. So even if in s6 he’s not directing that face to Eddie, then it’s related to Eddie in some way! Hope this makes some sense lol.

So, Merc, what did you think of tonight’s HOTD episode? I definitely have thoughts about death by crab, but I’m curious what you made of the whole hour… 🤔

Death by crab seems awful, let's be real.

Under a cut for brevity, spoilers, and the very broad swerve away from the usual fare for this blog.

The king needs a new wife. I get that. Corlys' daughter, while Valaryian, seems an odd choice, given that she is twelve and therefore not of much use on the childbearing front for a few years and time seems to be of the essence here.

The fact that the King has not lifted a finger to relieve the illegal occupation of his ancestral seat is weird.

And to me, there' s this huge gaping hole where everyone keeps saying "Rhaenyra, you can't be in charge, you won't know what's going on" that could very easily be filled with "Then teach me, Father, so I will not have to bend the knee to some upstart." But I suppose that's to be expected, from a man whose own brother says he's worst at being king. She's the cupbearer, which I would like to think offers a lot of opportunities to listen, learn, and discuss afterwards, but no one else seems to have thought of that.

I did like the conversation between Rhaenyra and her father's cousin Rhaenys.

And, I, too, would be pissed if my long-time best friend just up and decided to marry my father and possibly create a roadblock between me and the throne.

I also kind of wish we got to meet more of the court. Right now we keep bouncing between the same twelve or so people and I'd love to get more...local color, as it were. Does Otto Hightower have a housekeeper who made sure Alicent had willow bark when she bled? Where does Harrold Westerling eat lunch? Who makes that lunch? Who is sitting in the corner tavern gossiping about all this?

Day 38 - Leo Carrillo State Park Campground to Wilmington

Last night was the final camping night of the trip. Options were limited south, so I found a cheap motel and hostel tonight and tomorrow night. Thankfully last night was bone dry, so all my camping equipment can stay packed away until I get back to Vancouver.

Last night was also the warmest night on the trip. Was nice getting out of the tent in the morning and not feeling a chill.

The riding today started through Malibu. Given how well known it is, I thought there might be more to it. It's mostly just big homes up in the hills and on the ocean side of Hwy 1. There wasn't any real city centre or anything. I guess just homes for the rich who don't need amenities (they have everything in their homes?).

Cycling along Hwy 1 went fine. I'd read it can feel sketchy at times with lots of cars parked on the shoulder forcing you onto the highway. There were certainly a number of times that happened, but I'd just wait a couple seconds for a lull in traffic and pass the parked cars. Went pretty smooth and after about 30kms I hit Santa Monica and the start of a 20 mile bike path along the stretch of beaches through LA and the surrounding cities. The bike path wasn't too busy, thankfully, as I can imagine on a weekend or during prime time the area would be swarming with people. The stretch of beaches is pretty astonishing. I was surprised by the size and how clean and well maintained it was. It was nice to see that they take so much care of such a huge area.

I didn't stop too much to hang out, the riding was going pretty smooth and I was enjoying just going along the path through all the different beaches (Santa Monica, Venice, Manhattan, Hermosa, Redondo, and more).

After some time, I needed to start heading east through the city. Google Maps had me cut over through Torrence to get to Wilmington, my destination for the night. That ended up being mostly on bike lanes on the city streets, though LA seems to have a penchant for creating bike lanes that just…end. To be fair this is a common thing I find in lots of cities. Weird planning 🤔. Usually at that point I try to find a side street to ride on before coming across more bike lanes. That worked out well enough for me.

My motel for the night is near LA's cruise ship port. There isn't much around so I will just stay in tonight after grabbing dinner. The port is far enough away for me to not want to check out.

Hitting the home stretch now, two more days of riding and I'm in San Diego!

Yeah, I know I do; I know I fall back on a bunch of things but now that you've asked me that, I literally cannot think of a single bloody one! 🤔 What’s one genre you’ve never written that you’d like to try? Hmmm. I'd like to do more of the Time-Travelling stuff, but I'm out of ideas. I think I'd like to experiment with like, Fantasy and magic and all of that a little more? Not quite sure where I'd go with it, but I think it would be fun. Not sure if my VampireAU counts too much as that's more of a modern setting? (I know I need to get back to that at some point.) Also, I know it’s not a genre per say, but I’ve seen some SoulmateAU ideas that’ve... Caught my interest. Along with others. ✏️ What is your fave fic from another writer? LONG ANSWER AHOY Okay. So I’ve thought about this, quite a lot, and I’ve come to the conclusion that a lot of what I read decends into smut. I’m gonna have to let that realisation sit and sink in, and question my life choices. That’ll be fun. ANYWAY. I have a fic rec tag. But I also know I’ve got a bunch of fics saved in my ‘likes’ that I haven’t reblogged and added to that tag yet. Bad me. The third - It’s a Dallon fic, it’s fluffy and it’s Robin’s fault that man is even on my radar. ~ Urie’s House, 11 Tonight ~ Marry Me ~ You Stole My Head Obviously, I’m gonna have some fics from @robinrunsfiction I’m gonna point out first, that I know how much work she puts into her writing - she looks up correct locations and correct dates and hotel room visuals and all of that kinda fun stuff. Details yo. I dig that. (I’m not saying that others don’t do this, I’m sure some do but I don’t know for certain like I do here.) Whereas I make that up as I go or gloss over it because... Reasons? I appreciate that kinda thing. Anyway. The first is an idea I’m so mad that I didn’t write first. But we all know I’d write it with Gerard, ‘cause c’mon, you should all know me by now BUT that’s not the point. I’m glad she got there first because Frank is a little shite [affectionate] and this is perfect and <3 Second - it’s beautiful okay. It’s beautiful and romantic and makes me feel soft, and gives me those... Losing a day, sitting in a bay window with a mug of tea, a snuggly blanket and a good book while it’s raining kinda vibes and I don’t even know how else to explain it. I got to watch The Wheel of Time alone tonight, so I took notes about the episode because I love reading those and seeing what catched people's attention. It was, again, so good! There's a lot I didn't notice the first time 🤣 I looked for Fain when I heard the whistle, but couldn't find him. The portal stones, the tiny guitar on Asmodean. Second time around with my bf, I only spotted Fain once 😮‍💨 felt a lot like where's Waldo!

Is that Lanfear (not sure, no moon to help me), the long neck one gives me Semirrhage vibes, I don't know why. Gosh I'm so bad at identifying the male forsaken, I can't figure out any of them 🤣 I'm pretty bad at visualizing stuff from books in my head (vibes I get, looks? Not so much), so that was hard.

At first I thought Alanna was eating a peach and got so confused.

Damn Lan's speech to Nynaeve is going to be so good. Oh no. Stepin used Nynaeve's herbs on Lan! Of course. Like, I guessed it from the teaser, but still, argh, I got caught in the moment and forgot he had to go kill himself. 😭

Hmm ok, Lan's yell makes sense. I figured it would, but it's so weird for Lan to express that much emotions.

EPISODE TWO “I’m a little rat I guess” - Laney

gonna start by saying FUCK 2048!!!! but I made it past week 1. happy to be here. but don't ask me to play 2048 at all after this or I will deck you in the face. I've been playing for like 3 hours now and I still don't think it's enough. I don't want to be seen as a weak link for the team, especially since the power lies within our whole team this week. I don't want to give up on my team or myself, so I'm gonna try my best. but holy shit is this annoying and tedious as fuck. sorry production team fsdkjhfds but! I'm not having it. also that 14-1 vote holy shit .... like. what? anyways not gonna be 2nd boot

So we're in challenge game mode and Im kind of excited! I always wanted to play so Im happy! Qith that said this has the opportunity to prevent a steamroll of strategy and social peeps which is not too bad from a ratings perspective. If Jarod can throw it then it may ensure one of Keegan/Ben leave in my eyes but if they win then we are in a pickle with Grey being targeted so we'd have to name someone Grey can beat. Nevertheless that is a 9:30 problem and not a right problem but I hope all goes well!

ahhhh i hate 2048 and im worried cause if strength wins, they might go for grey which is unacceptable but i'm not good at 2048 AT ALL.

strength won the lead team thing and I feel stupid like of course they would win! but I did pull my score up a lot and I'm happy with silver. I don't know why I thought someone would send me to the ball pit... especially since I've been social with all the teams. linden and batty both want to send kay, but kay is in my biggest alliance so I don't want to send her. especially since she did so well for strategy in 2048, it wouldn't feel fair. I feel kinda weird tonight? nothing really happened... well that's a lie. jarod kinda lied to me about the strength scores which like ok fine it's the point of the game but I feel kinda dumb for it :/ I'm really trying to read signals as best as I can from people but sometimes I miss stuff and trust people really easily. it takes a lot of effort to understand what people mean sometimes, like I take jokes very literally and it makes me feel stupid. I'm just in a mood I guess. I'm kinda letting everyone take the wheel with strategizing the vote for the ball pit since I'm just feeling a little wonky tonight. happy week 2 I guess :(

so I’m hearing Linden and Batty were throwing my name out??? 🤨 I’m really NOT rocking with that because I tried to be friendly and reach out to them the first night, but I haven’t heard a peep from them since then... I simply assumed that they weren’t interested in talking because they gave me nothing! Imma need team social to not be hypocritical and live up to their name...

also.. for this vote, lindy and batty pushed kays name out because they don't talk to kay i believe. but then kay told us in asyas-angels later that she tried to talk to them and they ignored her so thats fun!! and the strategy people want to do lindy? thats the name chris said he heard from laney because apparently, lindy was the one vote for laney. grey also wanted lindy up because she seems to ditch the social ppl for alex easily. but i mean she prob voted alex because she felt bad for him. anyways, i don't want either lindy or kay to go up, so im pushing for batty to go up, using his 'having a decent alliance with phoenix' which he told social people that. he kept pushing for kay hard but i mean i have a 'decent alliance with kay' too so im not gonna let him get his way. so ive been trying to plant some seeds and using that info to tell shane that we need to get batty in the battle cause i mean the strengths already voted phoenix in. why would the strengths want to keep batty who is in decent alliance with phoenix? it seems working so far. and it might be between kay or batty or lindy atp. so we'll see.

Being put up for elimination did surprise me, I will admit, but also I'm not *really* surprised. I've been slacking when it comes to reaching out to people and making myself present, especially with Team Strength. I'm reaching out to those I *have* spoken to on Strength about potential votes and nominees other than me, and I think with Laney's help I might have a fighting chance. I don't want to go home, I'd really like to stay longer, but honestly with the stress of other things going on right now, I don't think I'l be mad if I do leave. Not to say I'm going to roll over and give up of course lmao that's not my style.

Hmm so apparently with Linden/Batty wanting Kay up, and Laney/Strategy team wanting Linden up, I talked to Captain and I kind of wanted Batty to be put up just because it seemed they were pushing hard for Kay. Now if Asyas/Kays Angels all vote Batty out while everyone is split then Batty vs Phoenix happens...let's see how it goes

now.... tell me why Batty made it seem like I was seriously facing elimination 🧐I suppose I'll never truly know, but it's very weird that he'd throw Linden under the bus in an attempt to save himself at the last minute... I don't think I can trust him (or Linden for that matter). I just hope Phoenix makes it through this elimination and Team Strategy stays strong!! period

This confessional is actually about week 2 but I never got the chance to actually write on properly. Batty is gone. Withered away in a challenge against Phoenix. And this was probably the best possible outcome after Larry’s Magic Wand was waves by Alex with his dying breath. We put up Phoenix (we as in the strength team) and then swung the votes towards Batty. The other option was Linden, which HELL NO. Linden must stay. Kay’s name was out there as another option but that wasn’t happening either. And I had a great little four day vacation!

SO this was 2048 week and honestly i loved it. I had a good feeling that my group would win as strength, giving us a chance to show our strength muscles and i think i placed like top 3 or 4 of everyone and came in second on my team I love that. With us being one down I'm really hoping that gives us a chance to be not as dangerous for a bit. Phoenix being nominated for elimination was a safer move. the group started with wanting Mo and i agreed but we backed off a bit on making a big move and just let that happen. Batty throwing out Kay's name was a good enough reason to me. I want to be in an alliance with shane keegan Kay Chris and Nailah. stratngth..... we have time to work on the name lol. so having them go against each other plus i heard those two were close so im glad they had to go against each other. Ive been villainous and its been fun. promising alex i would keep him, playing the veto week one on keegan and not telling him but stirring things up a bit early. I love my strength team and i am very excited to eventually vote out ben and jarod:)

idk what there is to confess I guess I’m just worried since I’ve been telling too many people that they can trust me and I’ve been spilling tea to others about what my alliances say,, I’m a little rat I guess !

Viola Davis and Carey mulligan were certainly not robbed... frances mcdormand was incredible in nomadland. Neither were riz and Chadwick. I fully believe that Anthony Hopkins deserved that award. My issue was with he way the academy handled things. They switched around the ceremony so that best actor would be presented last when they always left best picture for last so they could exploit chadwicks death. That was incredibly disrespectful in my opinion

Was it to exploit Chadwick’s death? Or just to get ratings and desperately maintain viewership until the end of the show? 🤔

I saw that they switched things up (they usually present “Best Picture” last), but my immediate thought was: “Oh, they are REALLY desperate to get some ratings lol”.....not, “they are capitalizing on Chadwick’s death”. I think they know that Best Actor and Best Actress are the categories that a LOT of people were looking forward to tonight. I get the impression that most people probably didn’t see a lot of the films that were nominated this year (it’s been a crazy covid year)...But then again, maybe I’m wrong and a lot of people did?? All I know is, I get the impression that the Academy felt that more people would be interested in the actors than the film that wins Best Picture...and they were probably right. This Oscar show was the WORST one I’ve seen in my life (and I’ve seen a LOT growing up lol). I bet you it probably had the WORST ratings in history. I wouldn’t be surprised honestly. I’ll see what the reports say, but I will be SHOCKED if people actually tuned in tonight lol. I actually liked the Golden Globes Covid Version better than the Covid Version of the Oscars. At least the GG’s had jokes lol.

This year’s Oscars just wasn’t the same...I’m sorry. 😔 It was boring, DRY, and lackluster. JMHO. They didn’t even show the scenes of actors being nominated. They didn’t have any performances during the show, and they didn’t even have any video montages to film. It was just DRY. And the weird way that people were introducing the nominees was just strange to me. Overall, just a lackluster show unfortunately. And I’m someone who usually LOVES watching them every year...even when it’s long lol.
