This signed litho is from during one of Luce Turnier's stays in Paris. As you know, she was better known for her oil paintings, sketches/drawings, and miniature bookshelves. This piece is rare. It is signed in the lower right corner, numbered 90/100 on the right side, and dates back to the early 1970s. Luce Tunier was born in Jacmel in 1924 and passed away in Paris in 1995. She was among the first female artists who joined the Centre d'Art in the 1940's. "Turnier's portraits reflect the Haitian's soul whilst her studies are a hymn to tropical nature." (Peintres Haitiens by Gerald Alexis). Her art is internationally collected and exhibited. Click on the image to see more details!
