It makes it inconvenient to knock the snow from his boots, so he makes a ridiculous show of the attempt. The winter seasons were never amongst his favourites, being a lover of the spring, but Yule has always managed to elicit good humour from him. “Happy first day of yule!”

Ending up on the battlefield was more complicated than Sif knew how to handle. One moment she was fighting her way across the universe after being banished, searching for a way to at least return to Midgard, the next she woke up and was helped to her feet by Einherger. It all happened so quickly and none of it made sense but there she was running into battle again with no hesitation. 

She had been making her way across the battlefield trying to figure out where she was when faces started becoming familiar. There were Avengers on this field. Was this earth? A blonde warrior caught her and Sif could see an enemy close by who seemed intend on attack. Sprinting over she knocked the blonde out of the way, catching the spear before throwing one of her knives and kitting the enemy in the head. 

“Mum?”

Sif looked down when she heard the girl speak. Had she called her mum? Then it clicked. “...Torunn?” Sif whispered. Surely not. Her baby was only a child, this couldn’t be her. How long had she been gone? She held her hand out to help her daughter up, still shocked at how grown she was.
